Selecting the Checkboxes on Interactive Report

I have two checkboxes on a Interactive Report:
My query is as follows:

I have a conditional button 'Check N Update' which will invoke the Pl/SQL process:

What I need is I need to check a CONDITION, if BOTH the checkbox's are selected then I need to throw an ERROR saying.
YOU CANNOT SELECT BOTH the boxes.
Please let me know how can I get this.

Using a RadioGroup would actually create one radio button for each line and mean that you could only select one line.
As the submit process will only return the boxes that have been checked, you only have access to the ticked items and as these contain just the EMPNO and DEPTNO values, you have no way to check if any two are from the same row.
This means that you will have to rethink your report slightly. You will need to have two checkboxes with ROWNUM as the value (if the report is sorted somehow, this may make this more awkward as ROWNUM is from the unsorted data) and make your EMPNO and DEPTNO hidden fields. The when the user submits the page, you will have to compare the ROWNUM values for the first column with all the ROWNUM values for the second column to see if there's a match.
As an alternative, you could have a select list for the first item and give the user options for EMPNO, DEPTNO, Both, Neither?

I Created a power view in Excel 2013 and uploaded to my Power BI for o365 site.
But when i click on my excel file it opens in browser,After that i click on File tab its showing me two option
1. Save a Copy
2.Download a copy
When i click on save a copy its showing me an warning below
Features that are not supported by Excel in the browser and interactive reports will be removed from the saved copy.
Continue with Save?
If i continue saving it only saves an excel files with data only not the power view which i want to save with applied filters.
Please help me for thisJust to clarify, when you hit the option of Save As Copy, the whole experience goes into a "read-write" mode in Excel services, which currently doesn't support authoring, just consumption of PowerView sheets.
Two mitigations that come to mind:
1. Download the copy (as Brad suggests), rename the file and upload.
2. Use the send to option of SharePoint online, give the file the right target document library (can be the same as source) and rename the file:

Thanks, red_menace, you were right; after an itunes forced exit, I was asked to create an inform, then to send it to apple and finally to "Automatically Send Anonymous Diagnostic and Usage Data to Apple". I accepted and cheked "Don't ask me again".
Now the Console Preferences check box is ennabled and checked again.

Dynamic Checkboxes on Interactive Report
I have an interactive report that currently lists a row of values:
Field1
Val1
Val2
Val3
I would like to place a text-field at the top of this interactive report with a submit button:
[textbox] [submit button]
Field 1
Val1
Val2
Va3
Then I would like to have checkboxes [] appear in each row:
[textbox] [submit button]
Field1 | Checkbox
Val1 | []
Val2 | []
Val3 | []
Then I would like to make it so that the user enters some text into the textbox and selects any number of the row checkboxes. Upon hitting submit, a procedure will run that accepts each Field1 value and inserts a record into a table containing 2 fields: the Field1 value and the textbox text.
So the following user input:
[Test text in the textbox.] [submit button]
Field1 | Checkbox
Val1 | []
Val2 | [x]
Va3 | [x]
After hitting the submit button, a procedure would be called that would insert 2 records into a table:
Field1 | Field2
Val2 | Test text in the textbox.
Val3 | Test text in the textbox.
Note that there is no entry for Val1 because its checkbox was not checked when the user pressed submit.

We need a "select all" and "unselect all" functionality in an interactive report ...
The IR Query currently goes something like this :

We have the checkbox selected by default .... the question now is how to have an "unselect all" and "select all" function or heading in the Interactive Report that would unset or set the checkboxes for all rows in the report.
Any advice will be helpful ....

1) Add an unselect and select button and a hidden field
2) modify the query to use the value of the hidden field to determine whether the checkbox is set or not.
3) set the value of the hidden field as appropriate with for the select or unselect event when the button is selected.

I have a doubt about Interactive reports/ ALV interactive reports. Is there any option to select multiple selections in interactive reports. If I am displaying in a screen CustNo, Name, Country.
I want to see order details of that customer in another screen using AT Line-Selection. Can I select multiple customer nos at a time and also can I see those order details whom I selected over in first list.
Please send me reply ASAP if there is any option with suitable example.

Praveen.Check out this sample. It uses two ALV grids. On the first one you can do multiple selection, hit the continue buttons and it will throw another ALV with those material/plant records. Implement the following program. Create screen 100 and 200. One each screen create a custom container called ALV_CONTAINER(screen 100) and ALV_CONTAINER2(screen 200). Create the gui status for both. Don't forget to create a "CONTINUE" button on the gui-status 100.

Can classic reports tbe converted to the 3.1 interactive reports?
I would like to convert reports in my existing applications to the new 3.1 interactive reports.
I see that I cannot select interactive on an existing report. Is there a procedure or approach that can perform the conversion short of rebuilding the report in the interactive form on the page?

Selecting columns when downloading interactive reports
Hello,
We have a requirement set by Oracle's Corporate Security Architecture Review Board to prevent some columns from displaying when downloading interactive reports to csv format. They should display on the report but not on the csv output.
I vaguely recall that this was possible when interactive reports were first released but I can't find a way to do it in ApEx 4.1? When I go to Print Attributes > Report Columns, I can see the list of columns and they are all set to Show in report = Yes but there is no way to set it to No. It seems that all the columns selected to display on the Interactive Report are automatically included in the Download.
Our applications are hosted on apex.oraclecorp.com, I can provide further details if required.

Isabelle FallonI don't have an answer (other than intercepting the download and writing my own custom handler...ugh!). I just wanted to chime in and say that, I, too, think this is an issue. You should be able to specify, at the column level, what is and isn't available for download. This is provide for Hide, Sort, Filter etc...why not for download???
This causes more problems when considered in light of another APEX (in my opinion) Bug. When you mark a column as Hidden, it isn't "hidden", i.e. display=none. Rather, it is not sent at all to the page. There are case all of the time wherein one does not wish to display the column but, nonetheless, it is needed to perform some other processing, e.g. conditional logic, pass to linked pages, etc. In these cases, you have to use jQuery (or JavaScript) to hide them. Stinks. Moreover, even though they truly+ are hidden after this change, they are included in the download.

How to select the Printer in Oracle Reports 6i R2 (Windows 7)
Hi,
In a client site they have more than one printer suppose one is dot matrix and other one is laser printer or some other brands.
They take printouts in both. Recently I installed Oracle Forms & Reports 6i R2 Runtimes in some Windows 7 32 bit PCs. In those PCs, its not allow to choose the printer, it print with windows default printer.
So Is there any way to give an option to select the printer...??

I suggest you to create a form to invoke the report, allowing user to select the printer and then pass it as parameter DESNAME -
Scale of the graphic in interactive report doesn't work in french
Dear all,
I created a calculation column in an interactive report an put the format 9999999D99. When I displayed the information everything is ok.
After that I tried to create a graphic with this column.
The graphic is the type line
The value is this new column
The function is SUM
order by label ascending
The graphic show the good information, when I click on the dot the right number is displayed (19459,10). But if I look on the scale on the left the numbers are not good, we see 25,00000 instead of 25000,00.
The application use the navigator information the first language use is french. If I use english the numbers are ok.
What I need to do to use french and have the right decimal ?

If I logon as Admin user (or I grant user Admin rights), it looks like this:
So the prompt is visible but is empty. I changed privileges in CMC / Applications / Web Intelligence, so normal user has same right as Admin, but it still doesn't work. I also tried change user security in Connections and Universes, but none of them work.
Please, do you have any idea what i miss?

How can i use the highlight row to select the row on a report
The row is highlighted as I move the mouse how can I select this row without having to make a column a text link.

Try this out.
Create or alter a report template. In the 'Before Each Row' section paste:

In the report page definition click on the page attributes and navigate to the HTML Header section. Paste the following script into this section:

In the report region navigate to the 'Layout and Pagination' section and select the report template you altered above.
Now the report row will get highlighted when you mouse over. If you want to change colors, edit the color attributes in the javascript.

Showing current Date (Date Column) in the the filter of Interactive Reports
Hi,
I created a filter for the date column in my report (table column name is Process_Date). I have created a filter in the Interactive reports which populates the data from , a particular time perieod. (From_date - To_Date). How can I change the SQL query or the Report settings, so that when the user open a report it should poulate the data for the previous_day or sysdate-1 by default.

"Time" in Numbers is always "Time of Day", and is always part of a Date and Time value. "Amount of Time" is a Duration value, which may be displayed in a similar format to "Time of Day," but is a different type of value.

The Duration value in B2 was entered as 3:15 (as displayed). Note that in the entry bar the duration is displayed as 3h 15m, probably to distinguish it from a similarly formatted (Date and) Time value.
