Selection screen within tree control model

Hello,
I am very new in ABAP OO, and have to make a module program for SD to handle the status of shipment.
I need to make a tree model of 3 parts that the first part has the selection screen.
There is a Sap standard model: program /DSD/SL_COCKPIT who has the same modle.
Is someone know how to do that ? which Class to use?
Any help would be appreciated...

Hello Fariba
The target you have choosen to start with ABAP OO is not really the easiest one.
The three-parted screen in program /DSD/SL_COCKPIT is created using class /DSD/SL_CL_FRAME_COCKPIT. Simply display the class in the class builder (SE24), push F8 (Test) and create an instance of the class.
Perhaps this may be useful in starting you analyzing the details of this rather complex program and class.

Urgent: Selection-screen within Form routines

Hi Experts,
Within Form routines can i declare selection-screen statements. If no how should i declare my objects on selection screen within form routines bcoz when i declared with selection screen statements within form routines iam getting the error as "Within FORM routines and function modules, the SELECTION-SCREEN statement is not allowed".

U cannot use the Selection-screen in Forms and Function Modules.
Try to use it in an include program and call it from ur program.

Save selected node in Tree control

I'm making this flex form for my school to add a new student
to the DB. When the admin clicks on a button it will open a Tree
control that displays the available courses and sections in the
following heirarchy:
Year>Semester>Course Name>Sections
Now I want that when he clicks on the button Select within
this new window showing the Tree, it will store the current
selected node and the full path to it, so that back in the original
form it will display the Year, Semester, Course name and section.
I've tried using the value and selecteditem methods from the tree
control but they are not working. Any ideas to figure out the full
path of the selected item?

You will need to climb back up the ancestor nodes to build
that path yourself.
"parent()" i believe returns the parent of the current node.

Selection-screen pushbutton & Table Control

Hi Everyone
In my program i have a pushbutton in my selection-screen; this button call a screen with a table control, the problem is when i run my report and return to the first screen, the data in the TC is cleared.
It's possible to save the information of my TC if i run my report and return to the first screen??

Hi,
Write the logic for putting data from an internal table into table control in the PBO of the called screen & not in the PAI of the calling screen. Also, when you exit that screen, retrieve data into the internal table.
For e.g. if Screen 9002 contains table control then
PBO of Screen 9002:
loop at it_itab into x_itab with control table_control_name.
module put_data.
endloop.
PAI of screen 9002:
loop at it_itab into x_itab.
module get_data.
endloop.

Tree control - How to get the full path of selected Item in tree control

I am Flex newbie. When the user clicks the particular item in
the tree control I just wanted to get it name along with it's full
parent.
Here is my XML

Identifying selected tabs within tab control

I'm looking for a way to determine which tab is selected within the CVI tab control. The index is available, but the index isn't that helpful if the tabs aren't always in the same order. The Constant Name is used to identify controls on the tab page, but it doesn't look like there is a function to find the actual tab ID.
I was thinking that a work-around is to programmatically add the panels to the tab control and track the IDs against the index in a table.
The header file that is generated from the UIR only refers to the Constant Name as part of the #define associated with the controls.
Any ideas ?

It's true that you can use the label text and discover the active panel by means of a series of comparisons between strings, but it seems to me not the best way to go and surely not the fastest. The same consideration applies to ATTR_CONSTANT_NAME (the panel attributes which returns the text of the constant name, e.g. "MyPanel"). Moreover, this last solution leads to these additional critical points
1. If you load a panel more than once, this approach doesn't give you a unique solution
2. On the other side, supposing you can retrieve the value associated to the constant name, this value is unique only if all tab panel are defined in the same UIR file, otherwise their IDs could overlap
In my opinion your solution of programmatically load panels and save panel handles in a array is the only possible way to go, since only panel handles are unique throughout the whole application.
BTW, in the header file associated with the UIR panel constant names are listed too: in every group of #defines that refer to a panel and its controls, the very first is the panel constant name with its associated value (used in LoadPanel).

Checkbox Within Table Control At Selection Screen

Hello, there.
In my selection screen (dialog) I'm using a table control which is based on an internal table.
In that internal table I have a simple Yes/No field (declared as type XNULL for example).
The problem is that I want it to be displayed as checkbox on the selection screen's table control and not as a simple string with size = 1 like it is..
I hope it's clear and understood ...

Its very simple,
In that field of table control just drag & drop the checkbox.
In Screen modules ,
loop at itab.
If Field = 'YES'.
Checkbox = 'X'.
else .
clear checkbox.
endif.
endloop.

Exending SAME ALV tree control to different screens

Hi Experts,
I have to extend same ALV tree control to other different screens:
For exmaple:
I have screen 100 in that I have splitter control on Left ( say TREE_LEFT) which has ALV tree (ref to CL_GUI_ALV_TREE).
The same Tree I want to show it in Screen 200 with the same reference(TREE_LEFT) ..I do not want to create another rererence to for the same tree control, as I have to show the same tree display in screen 200 also.
Please suggest.

Hi Sathish,
You are passing the Data to the Screen 100,200,..... by using ALV_GRID OO concept.so the screen is not a constant one.
It is possible to pass the Data (Based on the ALV_TREE user selection) and Modify the Screen dynamically by designing the Fieldcat.
So use only one screen may it 100 or 200 and then Pass data based on the user selection from the Tree control.
For Example Go to TCODE WE02 Execute it will appear one ALV Tree, Based on the Idocs in the Left side tree then screen will display the dynamic Data.

understand your problem, it shouldn't be hard to change it to a tree
control.

Print Selection Screen Parameters in ALV report only once

Does anyone know how to print the selection screen within a ALV report.
I've tried everything. I have the code to capture the selection parameters into a internal table. I can use top_of_page but I only want it printed once.

If you have captured the selection screen entries in an internal table, then you could display it once by using the BLOCK LIST ALV.
Check the function module.
REUSE_ALV_BLOCK_LIST_DISPLAY
Using this function module more than 1 alv could be display in the report.
In our case ..there will be two alvs ...one for the selection screen n other for the main report output.
Check the following example on the block List ALV....
BALVBT01.

Hiding and Unhiding Fields On The Selection Screen

Hi Guys/Dolls
I've managed to grey out and hide some fields on a selection screen within the AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT section but don't know how to re-instate them.
basically on initial entry of the screen some fields are hidden but once I enter some pre-requisite data I need to display them but in a greyed out manner.
I've done the first bit but don't know how to do the 2nd bit i.e re-display the fields.
Any help would be appreciated.

Facing problem in having CANCEL functionlaity to a selection screen.

Hello there,
I have a selection screen. There i am calling another selection screen as selection screen within selection screen. I am calling this second selection screen as a pop-up screen, to that small pop-up i am setting a pf-status. Here the 'CLOSE' i.e. ( X ) thing on the right corner of the pop-up is not working. I have been trying a lot to get the functionality.
This pop-up screen is similar to the FIELDS FOR SELECTION option in the SE16 for any table.
can anyone help me with that.

Is the pop up screen a dialogbox container , if yes then call method free.
and after that free container .
If its an simple screen then Give fast patha s 'E" in PF status .

Function Keys on Selection-Screen

Hi,
I used function keys in one of my report program.
Now, if some check box is checked in the customization that function should be displayed, otherwise shouldnot be displayed.
I made use of "loop at screen" to make that application button invisible but i don't know the name of the button. I have given the name as same given while creating the button using "SSCRFIELDS".
Is there anyy other way to disable the button??

Your requirement can be solved with two approaches:
1) simpler one is to use different GUI statuses depending on checkbox state
AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT.
refresh it_exclude.

append 'BUTTON_FCODE'.

CALL FUNCTION 'RS_SET_SELSCREEN_STATUS'

2) as SELECTION-SCREEN FUNCTION KEY n statement cannot be processed within PAI/PBO block you cannot set it dynamically like
AT SELECTION-SCREEN.

Moreover you cannot change standard application toolbar of selection screen within Loop at screen statement (this will only affect selection screen parameters not toolbar).
The only way here is dynamically generate report's code. When checkbox is check what you do is
data: it_code type table of char72 with header line.
READ REPORT sy-repid INTO it_code.
Then looping through the code table you either remove entry having SELECTION-SCREEN FUNCTION KEY n. or add it to the table.
Finally you switch reports code with
INSERT REPORT sy-repid FROM it_code.
And execute new one with
SUBMIT (sy-repid).
This will ensure that new SELECTION-SCREEN parameters (or function keys in your case can be switched and report will be executed with new screen look).
Nevetherless be carefull! You need to ensure that submit will not create and endless loop. ABAP Memory will help you here (exchange flags within program indicating whether program is executed for the first time or another one).
