Selective display in Rowrepeater

The RowRepeater dataSource is bound to MyNode
Name and Marks are displayed as labels under it
Context
   -MyNode (node) Cardinality is 0....n
      -Name (attribute)
      -Marks (attribute)
Consider the following values of "MyNode":
Name     Marks
ABC     70
PQR     35
XYZ     55
if(wdContext.currentMyNodeElement().getMarks < 40)
     then I want to display only Name in Label and Marks should not be displayed.
else
     both Name label and Marks label should be displayed.
I tried setting the visibility of Marks to NONE when Marks is less than 40, when I do that none of the Marks label are getting displayed.
How to handle this.

Implement the getMyNodeMarksVisibility() method like this:

Bind property "visible" of the label that displays the marks to the new attribute.

Selectively display link based upon userID

I know how to add security to tabs, etc. in Portal, but I have a jsp portlet that contains various links and images. I want to selectively display some of these items based upon the user currently viewing the page. Is it possible to add security at this level?

The links and images on the jsp portlet are not Portal items, I do not think you can use portal security to
secure them. But for links and images on portal pages, each of them can be secured.
Why not create a page, put your links and items to it, and set the item level security. Then expose the page
as a portlet, this page portlet can be include on other pages.

Selecting "Display PDF in browser" option launches 8.1.2 Installer

I have seen many auto-update and installer problems in this forum, but not this one. I have Acrobat 3D 8.1.2 on Windows XP, and today the automatic check for updates box appeared. (This system was set up by someone other than me and I didn't realize auto-updates was on.)
The only update showing was Acrobat 8.0.4 (?), so I deleted all updates, then changed the update preferences to turn off auto-updates.
Next, I needed to check something re: PDFs opening in browser vs. Acrobat window, so I went to Preferences and turned off the Display in browser option. No problem. Once I checked out my issue, I went back to re-select the Display in browser option. As soon as I clicked OK, an Acrobat 8.1.2 installer started. I canceled it. Restarted my system.
I cannot get the behavior to stop. Things I have done to try to correct problem: Checked for additional updates and discovered the 8.1.2 security update, so I installed that (manually). Ran the Repair Acrobat Installation from the Help menu. Tried letting the installer run. (Sometimes it says it can't find a server or similar message). Restarted system again.
Is there any other solution other than re-installing Acrobat? Something in the registry, or... ?

I manually added the registry setting but it made no difference.
I uninstalled 10.1.4 and reinstalled 10.1.3 and with 10.1.3 I am able to view a PDF in IE when launched from the command line.
I re-downloaded and reinstalled 10.1.4 and retried and now I can view a PDF in IE when launched from the command line.
Strange.

IMac force select "Display Audio" when headphone jack is in use

I have a new 2012 iMac and Thunderbolt Display. I use the Display Audio from time to time, but also use a set of high quality speakers plugged in to the headphone jack.
Some applications, like Chrome (Google Hangout, Gmail phone calls) will default to using the Display Audio as the speaker. If I have the headphone jack in use (using the desk speakers), then the Audio System Preferences will NOT let me select the "Display Audio" device. It will immediately highlight "Headphone" again. The problem is if I want to change the "Display Audio" volume, I have to remove the cable from the headphone port, then change the audio, then plug it back in the headphone port.
It's quite annoying.
Is there any way to change this?
As a second request, is there an app that allows you to select which audio device applications will use? Like, if I wanted to change Chrome from using the Display Audio (not sure why thats the default anyway), or another application to only use the headphone port...

The problem with the selection of the headphone port is something I reported to Apple back in October 2012. After some time, the reply came back that this was intended behaviour, and my bug report was subsequently marked as, "behaves correctly"! I agree with you that this is a pain in the backside and certainly appears to be bug-like behaviour. If you can take the time, I'd ask you to file your own bug report on this matter here. Perhaps it'll help cause a re-think. You should be able to log in with your Apple ID.
As for your second question: many people are asking this now. Rogue Amoeba made such a thing years ago, but it doesn't work on modern, Intel-based Macs. Maybe they'd consider updating it if enough people asked?
For Chrome, you can use ChromeLauncherWithExtraAudio - I've tried it and it works fine, though once you've changed the audio output on launch you have to quit and re-launch to change it again. If you want to choose where to send audio from movies, radio and so forth you could start using VLC, which completely ignores the system audio settings, and lets you choose from any connected audio outputs.

Not able to select/display dependents data in IT0167

Hi,
We would like to use the dependents tab in IT0167 to display the dependents data from IT0021. I have configured the max/min number of dependents in IMG as well as the below. However, there is still no dependents displayed for selection in the IT0167. There are valid dependent records in IT0021 for Spouse and Child.

After configuring the above, when I go to IT0167 dependents tab, there is information message pop up "At least 1 person of type Spouse are required for dependent coverage 1-Empl & 1 Depend". However, there is no dependent records in the screen for selection. There is a new "Person" button to create new IT0021 records, but after trying to create there it is also not bringing up any data in the dependents tab in IT0167. Please advise. Thanks.

9 buttons to select display in a meter

I have a panel with 9 buttons next to LED's. There is also a Meter and a String indicator.
The idea is tha only 1 button can be active at any given time. The
corresponding label should appear displayed and the value assigned in
the meter. The LED's goes red when value climbs over threshold. I
have done the selction using a Case structure but so far
the button selection does not work.
Any ideas on how to display the different values for each button will be appreciated.

program gets the signal from the COM port and saves it to a table. The
bit not working is the selection of what to display in the meter. It
just sticks with the default parameter...

Packaging Acrobat DC - Incorrect language selection displayed

I'm using Adobe CC Packager (WIN) to try to package Acrobat DC.
I've gotten to the point in the packager wizard process where you are prompted to select your preferred language for the install package.
I've chosen "English (International)" as the preferred language, as I don't want North American spelling, because I'm in Australia and we use U.K. spelling.
However, when the list of program appears with the check boxes next to them, Acrobat CC displays as "Acrobat DC - English (United Arab Emirates)"
Oddly enough, If I go back to the initial language choice prompt and change it to "English (United Arab Emirates)", it then just the language for the Acrobat DC app changes to just show "English" !?!?
Why does the Acrobat DC program change to "English (United Arab Emirates)" when I chose "English (International) as my preferred language??

Sorry for the misunderstanding. This English (UAE) has me puzzled. I have never seen an English pack with that name. Are you deploying for a company in that location? In other words, does the CC Packager ask for a location code or is the installer getting the region information from the OS?
Maybe you are deploying in International English, but it is appending your UAE location to the International English pack.
So my question is: Despite the location, is that English the UK type?

Color selection display in adjustment brush

I notice that the color palette as displayed in the adjustment brush has changed. Below is the display for 5.0
and below this is display for 5.2RC
Wonder if this is signicant. I know it dosent change any thing regarding color selection.
Just wondering. I suppose it is more logical geometrically.

The Color Band can be moved and set where ever you like it.
If you hold down your Alt/Opt key while hovering over the color picker, you can click and drag the band whereever you like it. Note, this does not change the Value (number) of the Hue, only where it appears on the screen.
You can set your Hue to 0 and then drag it back to the left side using the Alt-Click-Drag if it bothers you.

Empty Select display element bug?

I have added some code to a userform that uses a Select element in the form, i.e. the user is supposed to select from a list of options
My problem is that the generated html doesn't include the options in the final output.
saving the form will however set the variable to whatever default I set it to.
Now, this worked fine on our test system, but not on our acc and prod.
The allowedValues and valueMap are calculated (i.e. selected from an internal structure) and are set to the right lists and maps before it goes into the final html render phase :P
If I enable block tracing, I can see that the references are filled with data before the final render...
Anyone seen this behaviour before?

So, I found out this much...
in my "newer" system, same WAS and same IdM deploy, if I have valueMap set to null, it will use that to map with, making it a nulled map :P
in my "old" test/development server, this worked fine
in my newer acc and prod it did not :P
easy to work around ofc, but more xpress code to do it...

CS5 Selection Display Differences - any tricks?

So, now that I've been working with CS5 for a while, I'm finding that the selection lines display differently from previous CS versions, and in not such a good way. I need to know if there's an option somewhere for resetting these:
1. The bounding box, for example, never grays out--it always looks like it needs to be double clicked to apply your maneuver. I can't quite remember what it looked like before in CS4, but the lines as they are now really stand out, and detract from seeing how the object fits with the overall canvas. And, I can't tell whether the operation has completed because there's no visible change in the bounding box lines.
2. When performing a selection with the lasso, the lines are no longer the complementary color of the object you're selecting--it always stays a light gray. So I'm losing my place because I can't distinguish the marching ants from the background.
Any way to fix this? Has anybody come up with a trick to help? Thanks for any observations you might have!

I've just been looking through Photoshop CS3, CS4, and CS5 to try to see what you're talking about.
I was going to ask what "Show Bounding Box" setting you mean, but I figured it out. You're talking about the Show Transform Controls checkbox when the Move tool is active.
I think it's a bit more complicated than what's being described, based on what I see when the layer on top does not occupy the full canvas... In Photoshop CS4, there was a difference whether OpenGL was enabled or not, while in Photoshop CS5 it's consistent both ways.

Here's what I see in Photoshop CS3 before and after grabbing a handle and transforming the layer. Note the dotted outline, as described in this thread.

I am building a web report which uses Hierarchical Filter Selection on Brand to filter data as per brands. When I select a hierarchy node the data in the table gets filtered but the chosen filter value is not displayed in the Hierarchical Filter Selection control textbox.

I am unable to figure out why this is being displayed twice.
