Selectively blocking certain users urls / Bloqueo selectivo de urls a ciertos usuarios

I have a cisco SA520 and I want to block urls to some users but not others. I do not know how I do it, because if I saw as I can block web pages but do not know how some users if they can access, though I blocked the url

Hola Enrique,
If you use the standard Content Filtering of your SA520, then you cannot segregate client access.  Either all clients are blocked or all are allowed.
If you buy a license for ProtectLink Gateway, then you are able to block a group of users from viewing certain sites, while predefining a list of clients that will have access to the sites in question.  However, they will have access to all sites.  Clients will either be blocked or allowed to visit sites that are to be filtered.

You can very well control this with the basis help.Pls inform to basis the role of a user which you want to restrict the access to transaction code.We can control this through the authorisation object concept with activities create/change/display/release etc.
Please don't use any exits for this, this is possible in standard SAP.

  • Possible to create a Message Box in response to end-user selecting "cancel" or "block" after clicking a link to a URL?

    Hi all:
When an end-user clicks a link/button to connect to a URL, the security dialog automatically appears giving them the options of "Allow," "Block" or "Cancel".  Should they select "Block" or "Cancel," can we trigger a message box informing them they blocked or cancelled the connection?
With traditional message boxes, we're causing them, ie
    var rtnFromBox = xfa.host.messageBox("Information is missing.\n\n Are you sure you want to continue?", "Missing Information",1,2);
    if (rtnFromBox == 4){
        xfa.host.messageBox("Okay, we'll keep going.","",1,0);
But with the URL security dialog, we're not calling it from a variable - it just happens.
I guess a similar question could be applied to a "Save" button.  Where if the end-user selects "cancel" on the "Save As" dialog, a warning could pop-up reminding them to save soon.
    Thoughts?  Thanks!
    Brian

    Radz,
I didn't think so but figured I'd ask.  Thanks for the response though!
    Best,

  •  Why would certain users not be able to open a mail to url from a Flash swf on my website?

Why would certain users not be able to open a mail to url from a Flash swf on my website?

    1. Because they're using Android or iOS and can't see the Flash container.
    2. Because they have Flash Player, but NOT Shockwave, which works for Interactive content like games and links in Flash containers.
    3. ActiveX controls are blocking Flash content in IE.
    4. Any of about a dozen other things.
As a web desginer since 2003, I can tell you that these days, it's a terrible idea to have Flash content in a website (outside of games that require it). Video should be HTML5. Navigation, content and other links should be HTML, CSS and/or Javascript ONLY, because placing them in a Flash container makes them invisible to literally half of your viewers or more, since SmartPhones can't and don't see Flash, and tablets don't either without special browsers, which may or may not work with embedded links.

  • Webdispathcer redirection for HTTPS/ Block certain URL in HTTPS

    Hi All,
I've a Webdispatcher connected to EP7.0. I've implemented End to End SSL for the portal.
The portal URL works with both http and https.
I've redirected certain links like /index.html to /irj/portal/anonymous
I also have permissions.txt file in webdispatcher which blocks certain links like /sld and /nwa etc.
But these redirection and wdisp/permission_table parameter works only for HTTP.
For HTTPS these redirection and blocking doesnt work.
How to block these sensitive links /sld, /nwa for HTTPS also?
    Regards,
    Karthik Vembu
Edited by: Michael Nicholls on Apr 7, 2009 9:39 AM

Now I understand. I don't believe this can be done by the web dispatcher with E2E SSL as the web dispatcher doesn't look at the URL . I think you will need a real reverse proxy to hide these URLs.
I suppose the question is why you are worried about people starting those applications through the web dispatcher. The user's Java permissions are a more reliable way of stopping them running them, not hiding the URL. You need to be aware that apps like /nwa can also be started with a longer URL that starts the web dynpro app directly...

  • Regex expression to block certain URL's.

    Hi,
I am trying to block certain URL paths within a website. For example I would want to block any request to www.asdf.com/test/input.asp, other request like www.asdf.com should be accepted.
I tried building a regex to match test/input.asp and the regex test says match succeeded, however after applying it via service policy the URL still works. The following regex has been applied to match test/input.asp
    .+\/test\/input\.asp
    Where could I be wrong?
    Regards

    Hi Karsten,
The filtering config reads like the following:
    regex Block-test ".+\/test\/input\.asp"
access-list outside_mpc extended permit ip any host 2.2.2.2
    class-map outside-class
    match access-list outside_mpc
    policy-map type inspect http Block-test
    parameters
    match request uri regex Block-test
      drop-connection log
    policy-map outside-policy
    class outside-class
      inspect http Block-test
    service-policy outside-policy interface outside
Its not an https connection and the configuration is on the ASA.

  • How to block certain external users?

We've just deployed Lync 2013 with an Edge server. I have federation working with Skype and with our internal Video Conferencing equipment. I'm able to setup Skype users so they can call our Video equipment directly. Is there a way to block certain
email addresses or domains (like @outlook.com), from making a call to a Lync user?

At an administrative level, under Federation and External Access - > SIP Federated Domains, you can add a new Blocked Domain, however if it's Skype it may not work as these addresses will come in a bit differently than a normal federated domain.
At a user level, you could add them to the user's contact list and right click to change the privacy relationship to blocked.
For a single contact, you can't really apply this at an administrative level for all users.
At a user level you can't really do this to block an entire domain.

  • How to Block certain websites on my Mac.

How to I go about Blocking certain web sites (adult) on my mac.
I have Panther right now, considering Tiger. As for now.Is their a setting I can go to to block these web sites or do I have to buy a program to do this?
    Apple   Mac OS X (10.3.9)
    Apple   Mac OS X (10.3.9)
    Apple   Mac OS X (10.3.9)

I use the free "privoxy" program as a proxy...it sits between my browser and the internet and can be configured to block various URLs. OTOH, it's easy to circumvent: a user could tell the browser to connect directly instead of via proxy or use a different browser. A stricter filter would be to use the built-in "ipfw" firewall (for which one can use the shareware BrickHouse as a GUI) to disallow contacting certain servers...this occurs at a more fundamental level of the network connection and can only be changed by an admin user, so the user or browser configs can't avoid it.

  • Forward mail to MS Exchange for certain users

    Hello.
We have a "master" Oracle Messaging Exchange Server and we have recently installed a Microsoft Messaging Server. We need certain users to use MS Exchange. The idea is changing mailHost LDAP attribute for those users (let's take [email protected] as an example), setting the MS Exchange HUB server, let's say hub.domain.com (mailHost: hub.domain.com). Doing so, mails sent to [email protected] are sent to hub.domain.com using lmtp channel. Everything works fine except for an issue: MS Exchange sees the from address like "user@lmtpcs-daemon", so we have to configure MS Exchange to use "lmtpcs-daemon" as secondary domain of domain.com, otherwise it doesn't know what to do with those mails.
Is there a way to not do that rewrite for certain users? Or maybe can we create a new channel to forward mails to Exchange? Could we define a channel depending on mailHost value or something like that?
    Any thoughts?
    Thank you very much.

Thank you very much for your inputs.
It's being quite difficult for me to understand this whole mail routing thing. According to the documentation:
"The handling of a missing mailhost attribute is different depending on whether the entry is a user or a group. In the case of a user, a mailhost is essential, so if no mailhost attribute is present a new address of the form
    @smarthost:user@domain
is constructed using the smart host for the domain determined by the LDAP_DOMAIN_ATTR_SMARTHOST MTA option"
Sounds good, it seems that I just need to delete mailHost attribute for the users who need to use Exchange and set LDAP_DOMAIN_ATTR_SMARTHOST in option.dat. I've tried that but I get a "4.0.0 temporary error returned by alias expansion" when I send a mail to the test user.
I've deleted the LDAP_DOMAIN_ATTR_SMARTHOST line and I've set mailRoutingSmartHost LDAP attribute for the user but I get the same result.
I'm not even sure about the mailRoutingSmartHost format. This is what I have:
    mailRoutingSmartHost: correoweb.saludcastillayleon.es

I use ESET NOD32 antivirus and it blocks certain URL's causing MFF to crash. If I disable ESET web access protection all web sites load ok. This only started in the last few months. Below is one of many crash ID'd

    Hello Kirk.
It's possible that you are having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not caused by one (or more than one) of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do that easily and cleanly, run Firefox in [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode safe mode] (don't forget to select ''Disable all add-ons'' when you start safe mode). If the problem disappears, you know it's from an add-on. Disable them all in normal mode, and enable them one at a time until you find the source of the problem. See [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes this article] for information about troubleshooting extensions and themes and [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting+plugins this one] for plugins.
If you need support for one of your add-ons, you'll have to contact its author.
If the problem is not disappears when all add-ons are disabled, please tell me, so we can work from there.
If it doesn't help, you may want to consider asking ESET about what they're doing with Firefox...

  • How to only allow certain users to use internet?

Hello, I've recently taken over the job of overseeing the internet connection here in my building. We have a shared internet connection and I was told to just give out the same WEP key to everyone. The problem now is that many people have canceled, but the WEP key still works. I want to make sure that only people paying for the service are using it. What is the best way of doing this?
    1. Generate new WEP keys? I think I can only generate 4. Is there a way of generating more?
    2. Block certain "Device Numbers" or "mac addresses?"
I really know very little, so any help would be really appreciated.

change the wep key first and then go to the go to the wireless and then on wireless network access (on the set-up page of your router) and click on the button select MAC address of networked computers and it will display the mac address of the client's that was able to connect using the new key and so you can just easily copy it on the permit only MAC address box to flter the connectoin.  So it's much easier than askign each 1 of the client's for the mac address.
Do this right after dissemnating the new wep key to the clients,

  • How To Block a User From Changing Total Field In AR Invoice

    Hi all,
I would like to find out how to block a user from being able to change the total field at the bottom right hand side of the AR Invoice.  Currently if a user creates an invoice and is still busy in that invoice they can adjust the total field which in turn will update the discount field as well.
Is this simply an authorization issue or am I going to have to do it in the transaction notification?
We are using SAP Business One PL 30 currently.

    Hi
Please review by note again -This is by system design .
I don't know why you are so worried abt this because by setting up discount max ,if user cannot post the document ,that means it is not in the system ,no matter they change multiple times in the fields .
But I think your scenario is different ,
You are copying with certain discount from Delivery to AR invoice and i think you don't want user to change the discount field , then you can solve your issue by using approval or sp_notification
If you really want it to be greyed out ,I think you might have to go through by SDK or Boyum addon.
    Thank you
    Bishal
