Selectively deactivate hierachies in worksheet

i have a worksheet that reports Sales Amt by Products. The Product Name will appear as rows. The product name field comes from a dimension with fields like Product ID, Product Name, Brand. Because i have a hierarchy by Brand by Product, i will automatically have a drill down option on the Product Name field when the worksheet is displayed.
can i choose to deactivate this drill down feature on this particular sheet only ?
thanks for any replies.

Select the query you want to run. Execute it via F5. Then highlight the next query and repeat.
The output will append to the Script Output panel.
There's no way to get 2 queries to share a grid, unless you were to run them as a single query a la UNION.

  • SEARCH item in MULTI-SELECT LOV (Hierachical Tree)

I have created a multi-select LOV using a hierarchical tree; providing the query for the tree in the Functional/Data Query property.
The Multi-Select LOV works fine. As you would suspect some LOV's have long lists that one must scroll through.
I would like to implement a SEARCH field (as seen in Forms standard LOV functionality) that will search through my Tree Node values and highlight the item searched (again as the standard LOV functionality works). Thus, allowing the user to quickly find the values in the list.
How do I go about referencing the Tree Node values to the value in the search (field) item?

    Hello,
Search, through the FTree package's functions, those that allows to navigate through the leaves.

  • How do I deactivate online (needed when computer fails)?

Problem: When a computer fails with Adobe products installed, it is always a problem to do deactivation of license keys.
When I login to my account at adobe.com, I can see my licenses.  I would have expected that I could manage my activations there.  How can we get Adobe to provide license key activation management online?  When computers fail, right now, there is no way to re-install Adobe software on the replacement computers because Adobe think I've used up my total activations.
Without an solution within my adobe.com account, I always wind up spending HOURS talking with Adobe people.  It is a very frustrating process.  Please see below the 1 hour communication I had today that got me nowhere.
    Steve Amerige
Mohammed: Hello! Welcome to Adobe Customer Service.
Steve: The serial number in my account is xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx
    Mohammed: Hi Steve
Steve: Began my day with a hard-disk failure.
Mohammed: May I please have your email address registered with Adobe while I review your request?
    Steve: [email protected]
    Steve: It's also my AdobeID
Mohammed: thank you for your emailaddress.
Steve: I had both CS 5 Master Collection as well as Acrobat Professional (xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx) installed on the computer whose hard drive failed.
Mohammed: Than you for the information.
Steve: It is possible that I installed Acrobat Pro Extended on that computer instead... I have license for that: xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx.
Steve: Since the computer has crashed, I'm not sure which version of Acrobat I installed on it.
Steve: Anyway, I don't want to have any problems once I start reinstalling the Acrobat and CS 5 Master Collection software.
Mohammed: According to the End User License Agreement (EULA) law, it is recommended to install the Adobe Software on only two computers and that is mentioned on the End User License Agreement when installing the Software provided the Software is not used simultaneously.
Mohammed: However, you can install the Software on the third Computer by de-activating the Software from one of the older one and then install it on the new one so that you can avoid any error message while activating the Software.
Steve: I cannot de-activate the software... the hard drive has failed.
Mohammed: Thank you for the information. Please allow me 1-2 minutes while I check with the information.
Mohammed: I check the information. Still you have the activations left. You can activate the software.
Steve: I had the software already installed on 2 computers: my home computer and my work computer.
Mohammed: May I know what kind of errors your getting?
Steve: My work computer is the one that had the hard-disk failure.  Did you verify license availability for both of the serial numbers: xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx (CS5 Master Collection) and Acrobat Pro (xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx) and Acrobat Pro Extended (xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx)?
Steve: I have not yet begun the installation... I have to finish loading the operating system first.  I just remembered the last time this happened that I had problems with activation.  I don't want problems this time.
Steve: Adobe should provide a website to manage activations.  When computers fail, it is not possible to deactivate.
Mohammed: This seems to be more of technical issue and Since I from Customer Support, In this case I will suggest you to contact our Specialized technical support team so that they would be able to resolve the issue better. I will provide you with the contact details for technical support team, Is that okay with you?
    Steve: Sure
Mohammed: You can directly contact our technical team at 800-833-6687.
Mohammed: Is there anything else I can help you with?
Steve: You can put in a suggestion that customers can manage their activations by logging into their online account.  When computers fail, this would be the only way they can manage activations.
Mohammed: Thank you for waiting. One moment please.
    Mohammed: Thank you.
Mohammed: Is there anything else I can help you with?
Steve: Yes, how do I submit a feature request to have online activation management?
Mohammed: In this case you can contact us back.
Steve: ???  Okay... why not now?
Mohammed: Okay in this case please contact technical  team.
Steve: And, how do I do that?  I just want to put in a feature request that activations should be managed online in my adobe.com account.
Mohammed: I'll be right with you.
Mohammed: Please follow the below steps to de-activate the product:
Mohammed: *Ensure that the computer on which you have the software installed is connected to the Internet.
Mohammed: *Select Deactivate from the Help menu in the product you want to deactivate.
    Mohammed: *Select Deactivate Permanently.
Mohammed: Once you de-activate the product from the old system, you will not have any issue while activating the product on the new system.
Steve: You've got to be kidding me!  Did you forget that my hard-drive failed?  Are you a real person or some software that is trying to answer my questions?
Mohammed: I am sorry that is for future reference.
Steve: As I said before, my hard-drive failed.  I cannot deactivate the license.  I called the phone number you gave me.  Adobe is not yet open, so at the moment I have no solution.
Steve: I will call them and see if they are able to help me.  But, I want to know how I make an official request that Adobe allow for online license key management from within my adobe.com account.
Mohammed: I am sorry, please stay online while I check with the activation seat for the serial number you have provided above.
Mohammed: Steve, in case of hard drive crash or any unavoidable situations, you can contact us while activating the product so that we can make necessary changes to the license and allow you to activate the product again with out any issues.
Steve: Okay... I'll proceed.  But, you still haven't answered my last question: how can I make an official request that Adobe allow for online license key management from within my adobe.com account?
Mohammed: Steve, you can leave your feedback here on chat so that I can escalate the same to higher level of support to check with this.
    Mohammed: Is that fine?
Steve: Yes... please do escalate this so that the feedback can be used.
    Mohammed: Thank you.
Mohammed: Is there anything else I can help you with?
Steve: No.  I will call the number you gave me when they open.  Until then, there is nothing for me to do except to begin the installation again, wait for the problem, and then re-start a new support session.  I wish Adobe could manage activations online, but I do understand that you can't at this moment do anything about it.  Have a nice day.
Mohammed: Sorry for the wait. Please do stay online.
    Mohammed: Thank you.
Mohammed: May I please have your email address registered with Adobe while I review your request?
Mohammed: Thank you for contacting Adobe.  We are available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Goodbye!

You simply call support by phone and have them reset activations. At this point there is no way to manage that yourself.

  • How to deactivate?

    Hard drive died.
I am trying to renistall Acrobat Pro 9 to another computer.  Adobe will not accept the serial number, I'm guessing this is because the number has not been deactivated.  How do I deactive?
I have the triall installation on the other computer, but I can't register it as Adobe will not accept the serial number.

It's notpossible to deactivate the license from a dead computer.
Please contact Customer Care at 8008336687 to validate the serial number and increase the activation count for you.
It's always recommended to deactivate the software first by going to the 'Help' menu and select 'Deactivate' before uninstalling and installing on a new computer, else it would increase the license activation count.

  • Deactivate Portal server node from Web dispatcher, but still keep online

We want to deactivate a Portal server node from the Web dispatcher. We also need to connect directly to the specific node.
We configured the Server Node using  Config Tool --> Server_ID####### --> Debug --> Debuggable --> Restricted Load Balancing. The node is not available to the Web dispatcher, However we are unable to explicitly connect to that node. We get the error message in the browser:
    503 Service Unavailable
    SAP WebAS engine is starting...
If this state does not change within a few minutes,
    please contact your system administrator.
Check the recommendations in SAP Notes: 943498, 764417
Message: Dispatcher running but no server connected!
I have also read through the Web dispatcher online Help. They mention creating groups but they all seem to pertain to ABAP groups using SMLG. Our Web dispatcher is used in a strictly J2EE environment.
There must be a Profile setting or some config to restrict specified nodes... Let me know if you have found out?
    Thank You,
    Jon Sells

    Hi PR,
Yes I understand that the Web Dispatchers Job ends at that point. That's why I want to stop the requests at the Web dispatcher by not allowing those nodes to be available.
Here is the situation. We have 3 Windows Servers with 10 Server Nodes spread accros them.
Host A - 2 Server Nodes, Central instance (Message Server) and SQL Server DB.
    Host B - 4 Server Nodes.
    Host C - 4 Server Nodes.
The Going Live Analysis suggested we move the DB off of the CI. We cannot do that at this time. What we can do is shut down the 2 nodes on Host A. Instead of shutting them down, we would rather remove them from the WD group. that way, our users never connect to the 2 nodes on the CI but Basis can still use them for Administration and those 2 nodes on the CI are never used for production purposes. Those nodes will just be used for monitoring and maintenance or even emergency purposes.
Right now our process to remove the 2 nodes from the Web dispatcher is to connect to the Admin page for Web Dispatcher --> Monitor Server Groups --> Right Click on the Host and select Deactivate. We have to do this whenever the Message Server is retarted. The million dollar question: How can that be set via a startup parameter?
    Thanks
    Jon Sells
Here is an example of how you can connect to a specific node:

  • Invoking worksheet based on parameters..?

i have a report with 10 worksheets and now i want to automate the selection criteria for the worksheets based on the parameters(note these parameters are basically used to select the worksheet) ...i mean when i run the report it should pop me the parameter list and w.r.t the flags associated with parameters it should run the appropriate worksheet automatically...is it possible in discoverer..?

    Hello Eric, All
Thanks for the suggestion. I tried this but still not met my requirement.
Here is the step by step description of my requirement.
    1) I have an 'Async process A' which has two operations 'initiate' and 'continue'.
    2) When 'initiate' is invoked it invokes an MQAdapter and publishes a message to MQ.
    3) Then 'Async process A' waits for a message on 'Continue' from another MQ (This is an MQ message and it doesn't come with soapAction).
As suggested I created a correlation set and used that on invoke (to MQ) and 'continue'. Now again I am stuck with the same problem, if the incoming message contains http 'soapAction' operation 'continue' is invoked successfully. If the incoming message doesn't come with soapAction, I get the error 'Cannot figure out operation name. Bad SOAPAction or wsa:Action'.
To recap - whether I use 'CorrelationSets' or 'WS-addressing soap header' the target operation is not invoked if the incoming payload doesn't contain http soapAction header with the operation name.
I am wondering is there a way to invoke a target operation without http soapAction attribute? Any help will be appreciated.
    With Regards,
    Ranjith

  • Deactivate after uninstall

I installed Premiere Elements 8 on a laptop and a PC.  Uninstalled on laptop to install on another PC.  Unable to deactivate license on the laptop and cannot reinstall without
30 day free trial.  Followed directions to reinstall, select Help, select deactivate but it is grayed out.

Click on the link above. I have pre-set it for Serial Number Issues or Activating my Product.
Look to 2. Tell us what you need help...
You should see under that "Select a topic from list". At the end of that is an arrow which should be pointed downward to see the selection of choices. Serial Number Issues or Activating my Product should be on the list of choices that you see. So, one way or another assure that the choice for "2" is Serial Number Issues or Activating my Product.
Next click on the statement "I still need help" to bring up Adobe Chat.
But before you contact Adobe consider...
    a. Given you have Premiere Elements 8 and the purchased serial number on computer 1 and computer 2 and you want to use that serial number on a 3rd computer.
    b. BEFORE you do anything else, you need to go to the opened project on computer 2, Help Menu/Deactivate and click on Deactivate. You do not have to uninstall the program.
    c. Then go to computer 3 and install Premiere Elements 8 on that computer, using your purchased serial number for that project.
Have you done all that in that sequence?
Please let us know the outcome.
    Thanks.

  • Deactivate flash cs3

I am trying to deactivate Flash CS3 on my laptop so that I
can install and use it it on my desktop machine. All I can find on
this subject is the instruction to select "deactivate" from the
"help" menu - but the help menu in my version of Flash CS3 doesn't
    contain this option.
Is there another way to deactivate Flash?
The options in my menu are as follows:
    - Flash Help
    - Help Resources Online
    - Whats new in Flash CS3
    - Flash exchange
    - Manage Extensions...
    - Flash support Center
    - Flash Developer Center
    - Adobe online forums
    - Adobe Training
    - Registration...
    - Download elicense...
    - Return elicense...
    - Updates...
    - About Adobe Flash CS3 Professional

I am putting this here because I had a lot of trouble finding help with this issue also.
    1) You may be working with a Volume License (did you get it from you school/business or did you buy it retail?).
If this is the case, you DO NOT need to deactivate/reactivate anything with your version of CS3, all you need to do is uninstall/reinstall.
    2) If you are unsure, I found that the Help Chat was relatively pain-free: http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/, just choose your topic and select "Chat with an agent". They will need the serial number (hopefully there is a slip of paper in the back of your CD case with the number or else you recorded it somewhere) and they will be able to tell you what kind of license you have.
Note: This only applies to when the Deactivate option is absent, and not when it is greyed out, which seems to be a different issue.

  • N85: 'Unable to Deactivate Power Saving Mode'

    Hi,
My N85 currently shows power saving mode (the battery icon has a moon symbol overlaid), and when I plug in any charger, i get the message 'Charging' followed by a message 'Unable to Deactivate Power Saving Mode'.
The same message appears if I press the power button and select 'Deactivate power saving'. The message remains even though the battery is 100% charged.
The phone appears to be working normally with full 3G connection, Wireless, Bluetooth etc all able to be controlled manually or via the profile.
    So...
Did I do something to force the phone to stay in power saving mode? How do I remove this message? What effect does Power Saving mode have?
    Thanks for any clues!
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

deep power saving mode is basically the mode when you battery runs low in order to preserve power, the phone shuts down all possible applications, reduces power to the screen in power saving mode you can still use the basic functions, but it should only go into the power saving mode when the battery is actually near empty its an awesome feature, but must be a bug in this case since you state that the battery is full, glad you found a solution

  • Missing Item or Condition Error When opening up the Worksheet

I Removed four columns from the Business Area and also removed the selected items from the Worksheet
When I try opening up my discoverer report it gives error that
" Missing Item or condition" - " Do you want to substitute another item, ignore this message or cancel opening this workbook"
    Am i missing something?

If one of the removed columns is used in a condition or calculation, this can occur. It might also happen if there are parameters based on the removed column. Removing columns from a worksheet will not remove them from conditions and calculations.
Ignore the message, then look a bit deeper to see where the deleted item has been used.

  • Deactivate Final Cut Studio

    Hello,
I've recently purchased a new MBP. I plan to run FCS, and other apps on this new computer, restore the previous one to it's original state, and hand it down to my niece.
The question I have is how do you deactivate FCS on the previous computer so I can transfer the license to the new one? There's nothing in the help menu, or any menu for that matter, that will allow me to deactivate the software. For example, in Adobe's software, under the "Help" menu, you can select "Deactivate..." and then activate the software on the new computer. The same goes for Autodesk's software.
    Am I missing/overlooking something?
    Gary

    Thanks Jon,
Activating (some) software on your computer is a relatively simple process when you are connected to the internet. Most of my Windows software, however, requires a call to the software company, a pain sometimes, but I will gladly take that over the use of a dongle!!!
Apparently, Apple has a lot of faith in it's users, which is why I'll always use Apple products.

  • Deactivate photoshop elements from old computer.

I am wanting to deactivate adobe photoshop elements from my old computer, how do I do this?

If you can access your old laptop & the application over it, you can deactivate your app by lauching it and then selecting "Deactivate" from Help menu. Please make sure you're connected to net for a successful deactivation from the server, which is related to the activation count.
Wait for a successful deactivation msg to come for a few seconds & you're done then
For more details, pease do folow the link Nikhil Bise has shared in his post above.

  • How to link  discoverer report to E-Business  Suite

    Good day
I followed instructions as stipulated in document number doc 278095.1 and doc 433397.1.
However i dont understand the link between the two.Actual im still new in oracle.
If i understand correctly doc 433397.1 is used to register the discoverer workbook to OracleOasis.RunDiscoverer
package and i created the function using this parameter
'workbook=XX_LEAVE_LIABILITY&PARAMFORM=HTML' ....I do not know if is necessary to put the inverted commas.
and assign it to a certain menu .
I have created another function following 278095.1 instructions but i do not know how does the two functions link.
Because for doc 433397.1. the Properties tab TYPE is 'SSWA plsql function opens in new window (Kiosk Mode)
whereas for doc 278095.1 is ''SSWA plsql function'
and the form parameter for doc 278095.1 is ''workbook=XX_LEAVE_LIABILITY&PARAMETERS=sheet~1*' .
The function name is there assigned to a responsibility but i can not access the discoverer report it retuns message "Unable to authenticate session'

    Hi,
The ICX parameters can be updated by going to the System Profile form on the System Administor menu.
Basically, the way the OracleOasis.RunDiscoverer function works is that it checks the ICX profiles from the user and builds a URL to start up Discoverer. It then adds to the end of the URL the workbook details from the form function so that the URL opens the workbook and supplies the parameters to the workbook.
So if the ICX: Discoverer Use Viewer profile is set to Yes then the function takes the URL in ICX: Discoverer Viewer Launcher. Hence you need to check that this URL (which should look like http://<HTTP Server>:<Port>/discoverer/viewer) actually launches Discoverer. The ?Connect=[APPS_SECURE] needs to be added to this URL so that Discoverer is launched without the need to reenter username/password.
It then concatenates the values in the ICX: Discoverer End User Layer and ICX: Discoverer End User Layer Language Override e.g. EUL_US to create the Discoverer EUL owner. The EUL parameter is then added to the URL so that Discoverer is started using this EUL.
Finally, the value in the parameter field in the form function is used to add the worksheet selection and if necessary worksheet parameter selection parameters onto the URL.

  • VBA  After_Expand is not working in EVDRE Report

    Hello Everyone,
I am working on a report that started redisplaying rows that are grouped and hidden after clicking on expand. I created a sub routine in VBA code that will hide the rows. I then created the After_Expand function to call the subroutine where it should automatically hide the rows once the expand button is selected. The After_Expand code is not working for some reason. When I click on the expand button the rows still re-display. However, If I click on the code in the VBA editor the rows are hidden after the expand. What can I do to make this happen automatically. The code is below.
    Option Explicit
    Sub HideRows()
    ' Called by AFTER_EXPAND
' Hides Rows 35,97,98,104,105 after an expansion re-displays it
       Application.EnableEvents = True
       Application.ScreenUpdating = True
    'Sheets("Napco").Select
      'Rows("35").Select
    ' Rows("97:98").Select
      'Rows("104:105").Select
      Selection.EntireRow.Hidden = True
       Worksheets("Napco").Rows("35").EntireRow.Hidden = True
       Worksheets("Napco").Rows("97:98").EntireRow.Hidden = True
       Worksheets("Napco").Rows("104:105").EntireRow.Hidden = True
    End Sub
    Function After_Expand(Argument As String)
' This function is automatically called after OutlookSoft expands hidden rows
            Application.EnableEvents = True
            Application.ScreenUpdating = True
            Call HideRows
            Application.ScreenUpdating = True
             After_Expand = True
    End Function
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
    Thanks,
    Eleasha

    Dear Eleasha Counts,
As I know and usually use the VBA in Input schedule. I have 2 opinion like as :
    1. You  can change "Sub HideRows()....End Sub" to be "Function HideRows()..End Function"
    2. You should put your VBA function (HideRows and After_Expand) in Modules.
The step to add the modules in Ms.Excel:
         a. Open the VBAProject through Ms.Excel
         b. Right-click "Microsoft Excel Objects" and choose "Insert-Module".
    Thanks,

  • ? Photoshop Elements 8 Organizer won't open on Windows Vista ?

I installed Photoshop Elements 8 onto a Windows Vista computer and registered. The Organizer opened with broken thumbnails throughout and I could not update the thumbnails. Therefore, I closed the Organizer and opened it again, hoping it would clear up. Instead, the Organizer would not open at all, and I've not been able to open the Organizer since.
Despite several Support cases, Tech Support could not help. They said to uninstall Elements and reinstall it, but when I uninstalled, the disc software screen said I must first deactivate my serial # by launching Elements 8 and going to Help > Deactivate.
However, when I launched Elements 8, a screen appeared with a choice of either a free trial or to enter my serial #. I entered my serial # and got a red "X", and it would not accept the serial #. Tech Support said there is nothing wrong with my serial #.
Tech Support then said to download the Trial Version. I did that, but could not open the trial version either!
    Message:
"Files in use. Some files that needed to be updated are currently in use."
"The following applications are using files that need tro be updated by this setup.
Close these applications and click Retry to continue.
    Organizer - Photoshop Elements"
So it thinks my Organizer is open and using files, and it's not open. I can't get it to open!
I clicked RETRY and got the same message.
I clicked IGNORE and it was installing files, got almost to the end, said "registering product", then said "rolling back action" and started going backwards.
I had uninstalled my Elements 7 software because I intended to now use Elements 8. I decided to reinstall Elements 7 to use that while I was dinking around with version 8, and now it gave me the same message:
the serial # is in error, or is already in use by someone else!
    Now I can't use either 7 or 8.
HELP! Does anyone know how to deactivate a serial # when the software has already been uninstalled? Can it be done?

    Hi Ankush
    Thank you for your reply!
Unfortunately, I can't try out your suggestion until next summer, because in early November I moved to my winter home in Florida. I left my Vista computer in Colorado Springs in its sorry state of nonworking Adobe Elements versions 7 and 8. I took the software discs with me.
When I arrived in Florida I bought a new computer.  I had left Colorado without being able to deactivate the Elements 8 serial number, so would not be able to use that software disc in Florida. Therefore, I asked Adobe for a refund. (Some of the tech support cases regarding the problem were still open and unanswered.)  Adobe replied that the month warrranty had run out so they wouldn't give me a refund. I argued a little, then gave up.
Therefore, I bought a new Elements 8 software program. And the old XP Florida computer contains Elements 7 and I have the disc.
The new problem: I must know how to DEACTIVATE a serial number before I dare install the new Elements 8 softtware, in case anything goes wrong, or in case I have to reinstall Windows 7 for some reason, which would wipe out any 3rd-party software. I also must know how to DEACTIVATE the Elements 7 serial number on my old XP computer so that I can install it on my new computer.
I opened a CHAT session with Adobe and asked how exactly to do this, because their FAQs and other information aren't at all clear. Here's what the tech said to do. Launch Adobe. You will see "Help" on the "toolbar". Click "help" and select "deactivate". Well, all I get when I launch is a Welcome Screen and there is no toolbar with help there. So I thought, maybe he means, open the Organizer or Editor and look for the Help menu. I opened the Organizer, clicked on Help, and there was no deactivate option listed. So I opened the Editor and clicked on Help and there was no deactivate option listed.
I just opened a case with Adobe asking what I have to do to deactivate a serial number. I don't see why they can't explain this.
Have you any idea how this is done?
