Senario maping for sending goods for replacement

Hi All,
We have a senario to be mapped in SAP MM. We are into aircraft maintenence business.
All our air craft are insured from tip to tail. If any of the part the aircraft shows any problem then it will be send to the OEM and shall be replaced by them free of cost.
Only we have to pay the customs duty and the freight amount. How to map the complete tracking of sending the material to vendor and getting the replaced material and booking the custom value for that material.

You can create purchase order(161 movement) with returns tick to return defective part.
Do goods receipt(MIGO,161 movement).
Create import & freight condition types(M/06) & link it in pricing procedure (M/08).
Configure for purchasing & vendor schema settings.
Add another line item in same p.o for material replaced in same p.o with negligible price to enable
maintaining customs & freight values in respective condition type.
When BOE arrives maintain customs rate in condition types of purchase order.
Do custom invoice by capturing customs rates.
Do goods receipt based on custom MIRO.

My scenario is as below:
1) Equipment is created without Material / Serial no.
2) Equipment has to be sent for repair to the same vendor from whom it has been procured.
Please let me know the standard process followed in this case. Need process for both indegeneous material and Imported material.

follow the below step
Refurbishment order (standard order type PM04) and process it as an external service using Operations control key PM02. Here is the process
1. Create Refurbishment order for the material
2. Create operations (PM02) for external processing. PReq will be generated once the order is released
3. Send out the material to vendor for repair
4. GR/IR upon receipt of the material from vendor
5. Receive material back to storeroom (IW8W)
6. Order settlement to material

Mapping lookups need to be done for sender or for reciever?

Lookups are used to identify / request the data from mapping , i mean interupting the process and looking for data which was stored in some where and get that data and comback to process and continue with that data.
2.why we can use for lookups.
We will use these type of lookups in Message mapping for refering DB Lookup for data base which is not SAP, RFC lookups for SAP data
How we have to create the lookups?

Eem applet or script for sending email for syslog denies

I am wanting to have my isr's send an email when a certain number of deny's occur on an ace. So if i have a particular ace set up to log when tcp 3389 denied. Then the eem applet or script would track when that deny entry happens. When the deny hits on that entry reach three times, it will send an email alert. The thing i am wondering about is how to set a variable within an event syslog pattern statement. For instance, how do i say express a variable for the source ip/port in the below
config-applet)# event syslog pattern "SEC-6-IPACCESSLOGP: list 198 denied tcp 201.198.71.51(38531) -> 212.184.81.52(3389)" occurs 3
The source ip and port could rotate or change so i'd need to express that with some kind of variable. How could that be done?(or is there a better approach altogether).

I put the below script in and it takes fine but does not send email alert. Is there something more to do for configuring email sending?

1300 AP times 2? one for send one for receive?

Hello,
i was hoping to increase the speed of the network.
im using a simple setup to bridge two buildiings (see config below).
is it possible to config two AP's on each side to be dedicated - one to send and one to receive?
(with similar setup on the other end).
currently when i send a 100MB file it takes 60 seconds which is poretty crappy for a 54mbps hardware.
the distance is only 600ft between.
using 1310G with build in antennas - would the model with the external antennas give better reception?

Your transfer time doesn't look crappy to me at all.
54Mbps data rate gives 20Mbps real throughput at the very best. 20Mbps means you will transfer 2 to 3 MB in a second, so 100MB will take 50 seconds ... Expected
If you are thinking about buying a second bridge, you're maybe better using 11n bridges. A 1260 could do the job. Put your bridge on the 5ghz and bond channels to 40Mhz, you then have double the throughput and no interference from 802.11b/g. You'll see speeds of over 100 (real) Mbps.
Some people already did 2 bridges side by side on different channels and configuring them in etherchannel but that's a bit funky.
One bridge that would receive and one that would transmit is a concept against the standard itself, you have to receive the ACK to the frame you just sent, you can't rely on another device receiving that.

if your test data base file is TestDB.mdb you need to give the absolute path of the file to get access to JDBC adapter set so you can replace the file path with the corresponding path on your test system .
Please place the data base file in a directory where the XI system has share access.

Excise capture for capital goods

Recently we have purchase capital goods for our organization it is a machine with higher cost, in J1ID We have maintain chapter ID for that capital goods with material and chapter ID combination, also in J1ID tax % BED, ECES SECESS is maintain and also the material type in J1ID is selected as ASSETT. till now we have not taken excise for capital goods for this machine we want to capture the excise, now I want to know the further process is the process is same as we done for othere excise materials,
1: Capture excise invoice in J1IEX ,
2: Make the GR with MB01 or MIGO ref. to J1IEX excise invoice number
3: Post Part2 J1IEX, is the same procedure we have to follow or there si some different method for this, as for capital in first year 50% duty to be avlied and remaning in next 2 years with J2I8, so what should be the process and what settings to be checked for this.

This is what it worked for me, to create an INBOUND IDOC to transaction IW31:
I converted BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN to an IDOC
1) In transaction SWO1 copy model BUS2007A to ZBUS2007A (make sure set the status to implemented Edit->Change Release Status->Object type -> to implemented.
2)In transaction BDBG, check Object type, Object ZBUS2007A, Method ORDERMAINTAIN

the function name will be: ZIDOC_INPUT_ZORDERMAIN

In my case it worked, still I modified function ZIDOC_INPUT_ZORDERMAIN, and in the call function to BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN I commented the releationship tables.(They were giving me some errors)

That's a server property. You would set that in your server configuration. JavaMail is for sending and receiving mail, not for controlling mail servers.

I am sure, for giving free of cost, you should be having different document types like sale order for free goods, billing with no value. So thru VF05, by selecting the billing document type, you can generate a report.

If you used the Apple Professional Training Series 'Aperture 3' book, then this was in lesson #1 which had you set the 'Image Export' preset for the 'Email Medium - JPEG' to 25% of Original Size and to add a watermark (which happens to be the PSD file that overlays the image with 'For Review Only').
You can fix this by going to 'Aperture menu > Presets > Image Export...' and selecting the 'Email Medium - JPEG' preset and then deselecting the 'Show Watermark' option.
Note - you can also reset the 'Percentage of Original' field to %100 to get back to the defaults.
If you did not use the APTS - Aperture 3 book mentioned above, then I am not sure where you got the watermark.
