Send email to buyer when bidder submits a bid

Hi All,
We are on SRM 5.0. The customer wants that an email should be sent to the Buyer/ Purch Group when a bidder submits a Bid on the Bid Invitation.
I have done following settings in customizing:
1) Assigned event schema QUOT to Transaction type - QUOT
2) Assigned Event SUBMITTED (with an Alert) to Event Schema - QUOT (This is standard SAP setting).
Now, with this setting, an email triggers when a Bid is submitted by the bidder. However, it is being sent to the 'Goods Recipient' on the Bid Invitation/ Bid.
This looks like very standard behaviour of SAP.
I need to know how & where can I tweak the logic in order to send email to the Buyer instead of the Goods Recipient?
Has anybody implemented such functionality before? If so, please share your valuable inputs.

Hi Jay,
The email should be sent to the Buyer/ P.Group on the Bid invitation, but it is not happening so in the standard system.
I tested in the test system and when I login as a bidder I observed that the information available to the bidder (on the bid invitation) at his side contains only Goods Recipient & Location info. It does not contain the buyer info.
I believe that may be the reason the email id found is of GRec only and the email is sent to GRec.
Am I missing any configuration in the standard system which enables email triggering to the buyer?

    This is the first time I encounter this kind of issue, whenever user connect from the internet they cannot send email from their Phone or Windows Mail App, but they can retrieve email

    I also check the Firewall and all the necessary ports already opened (we even open all ports) , the default TTL on the firewall 3600 second. 
    From what I read ActiveSync use some kind of HTTP POST or in MS terminology "PING" command, but still have no idea what kind of configuration that should be made to the Firewall so it can pass this "PING" command. Because from what I

  • How can i send email to team when opportunity is assigned

    Hi,
    I need to send email to opporunity team when team is assigned.
    Here is what I did.
    created new workflow on oporuntity team record type. when new record saved.
    problem is in Action send email option
    'TO' field have only 2 options
    specific user
    specific email
    I cannot user specific user as I have to select the specific user from the list.
    I think I have to user specific email, but when I see the columns avaiable I have first name, last name and team role.
    How can I get email address when I choose lastname.
    Whcih function to user and how.
    I saw Joinfieldvalue fuinciton , anyone has dea how can I add this.

    You must still be on R15. Once you get upgraded to R16 you will have additional options in the automated email task. The drop down list will include 'Relative User on Record'. Once you choose it you will be given the option to send the email to the various opty team members. You'll have to create multiple tasks as each will send only one email.

    Check the outgoing mail server setting. Make sure that your username and password are in there.
    Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Your email account>Account>Outgoing mail server - tap the server name next to SMTP and check in the primary server and make sure your username and password are entered and correct - even if it says that the password is optional.

  • Sending Email to vendor when PO is saved in ME22N

    i hv one problem. I want to send email to vendors whenever PO is saved in ME22N. In existing message type I have set tranmission medium as External send and added a new program and new form. The message button shows success when i save PO but the email doesnt go. Is there anything else to be done?

    Hi,
    If mail is to go to vendor after saving the PO then logic is to written separately in Exit or BADI.If any out put type is used to send mail after clicking the out put type the mail will be sent to vendor.If output type is used check the code, logic is writhen for mail generation or not .

    I have Tor button... 1.3.3. alpha. Everything worked great since this morning. It happen to me few times this month. I deleted Yahoo State Plugin. Still doesn't work.
    Yesterday I deleted Microsoft .NET Framework Assistant ...I heard it could possibly crash Firefox. But I think it wasn't about it... cause my browser still crashes. Also I have Java Console 6.0.26. and Java Quick Starter 1.0 but these plugins are always disabled when Tor in use.

    I believe I've solved this issue by carrying out the following action:-
    First cancel all “send and receive” operations in OutLook. Next remove all emails from your "Outbox" (by either deleting them or moving them to the “Draft” folder). Next shutdown OutLook and then click on the “Start” button on the lower left-hand side of the Window’s taskbar, then click on “Run” now type in “regsvr32.exe inetcomm.dll” without the quotation marks, so it looks like this:
    regsvr32.exe inetcomm.dll
    Note the space between .exe and inetcomm.dll and hit “Enter” on the keyboard.
    The computer will execute the command. If all goes well in a few moments a dialog box will appear and state “dll registered successful

    I am working with SAP CRM 7.0 EHP1. I have one field named Email on Complaint description page on Web client UI. I have made the field a hyperlink by using the setter getter methods of attribute in component workbench for the component -BT120H_CPL. Now I want to send one mail to customer who have raised the complaint when clicked on the hyperlink Email through SAP CRM if possible or by using Microsoft  outlook(Microsoft outlook is default mailing server on the system).

    I have set up a "submit" button on my form, but when I test it using Lotus Notes (6.5), the email address appears twice in the "TO" field. Does this occur in other email programs, or is this specific to Lotus Notes? Any fixes or tips on where I might be going wrong in my setup?     If you have the data submitted to a web server as a FDF or XML file, you can simply import that data into the PDF. Reader creates other problems as Aandi said, at least if you try to submit the whole PDF since it then has to be saved (an extra rights issue for Reader). The e-mail issue has to do with the client e-mail setup. For folks that use an out of the box client like Outlook, I don't think it is necessarily a problem since MicroSoft turns on everything out of the box (that is part of the reason there are almost always security problems). I believe it is MAPI that has to be active for Acrobat or Reader to be able to interact with a mail package. Similar problems exist for mailto in HTML forms. I gave up on that one 10 years ago because every browser did it differently and typically messed things up.
    That is the main reason for my comment. You may feel that e-mail is necessary, but it may also be a major problem that may make you look like a fool to others, even if you are not the issue. If you have a limited user base, then you may be able to deal with the issues, but it is a bad practice for a general form to be posted on the internet. It sounds like your use might be within an office and that may be fine.
    In terms of your original question, would it be possible to post a sample form with your e-mail (or generic) on it. Then we can look at it, possibly change the e-mail to our own and see what happens with our e-mail clients.

    Probably you did not enter your email and password for the outgoing mail server when setting up the account. It works on your WiFi because it is within your ISP's network. When you are using cellular data it's outside of your ISP's network, so you need to prove who you are to the server.

    Need help , actual requirement is to update email with some more information like plant address , qty , UoM ...etc  when return delivery confirms.
    I checked in the system WF 10001048 is not active for the event RETURN with BUS 2203 ... but user is getting email .
    How its being triggered ? I checked in event type linkage as well , I dont see its been linked ....
    Can you please help on this to find where it could be linked and triggered once return delivery initiated .
    Advise me is that possible to enhance WF 10001048 with additional task ..?

Right now I'm only able to get an email notification sent out to the requestor once the request has been approved. What I'm having trouble with is getting an email notification sent out when the request has been rejected. Does anyone know how to trigger an email notification to be sent out to the initiator of the request once the reject button is clicked in OIM?

    You would create a rule that runs an applescript to do the rest of what you want. Since you don't want to use an applescript, I can't help.
    You might want to search around for a third-party plugin that might do what you want.
