Send Multiple field values to Single Target field in Message Mapping

Hi,
My Requirement is to Map Multiple fields to Single field in Target side.I have to send all the values concatenated and pass the same to target Field in Message Mapping.
We can use Concat function,but more that 15 fields are there.If using concat,the mapping will be complex.
Is there any way to simplify this requirement or we can use any UDF for this,kindly suggest.

I don't think it's complex but just that it occupies more mapping area
Just write a simple UDF - a one line code and pass all your input variables.
return var1+var2+var3+var4+...+var15;

For the above source and target you have to create 2 value mapping groups.
In more detail I want to say is,
1. Just create your value mapping by using Source & target Agency & Schema.
2. Create your first value mapping group which will return the traget value as '111'.
3. Create your second value mapping group within the same Agency & Schema which will return you '222'.
While creating it If get any warning just ignore it..
Note: You can add multiple value mapping groups if you have different outputs for different sources.

The above three fields passed to the Details Field. Here i am using Concat function
But i have one query on that on,Every field having "line Break" required.
Can you please help me out above this requirement.

If you want a line break between the three fields, then try
passing a,b,c to the udf and in the udf you would have
return a+"\n"+b+"\n"+c;

Constant values to the target field

Hi friends,
how to assign three constant values to the target field in XI..?
like :
constant--->Trget field.
There is one target field but 3 constant values have to be assigned....
is it thr FixValue fuction..?

So from Source structure A comes it gets R1 in target

Set the default field value to transaction code field, when calling from WD

Hi all,
Can we pass the value in a input field of a standard transaction calling from WD application. Suppose we are calling a transaction VA03 in an external window, then how will be pass the value in the VBAK_VBELN screen field.
Is there any way to pass the value to this transaction field. I have also tried out to set the parameter ID 'AUN' for VA03 transaction VBELN field. But it did not work for me.
Is there any way to set the default field value to transaction code field, when calling from WD?
Please suggest, if anyone have any idea.

I am using the below code to open a standard transaction. It will help you to explain my point more easily.

call the url which we created above

Mapping multiple source value to one target value in value mapping

Hello experts,
In my scenario, i need to map more than one source value to one target value in value mapping. Like:
1        TenderPickup
2        TenderLoan
7        TenderPickup
101     TenderPickup
102     TenderLoan
107     TenderPickup
But when I enter the same target value for the second time and try to save it, it gives me an error saying value mapping already exists.
But this should logically be allowed. How can this be done. Please provide a solution.

Hi Prabhu,
When i right click on the target field, it gives me only 3 options:
1) Insert Row
2) Delete Value Mapping
3) Value Mapping in all agencies
I dont see nay option for duplicating rows.
What I hae done is in ID i clicked on TOOLS and then VALUE MAPPING. I checked the option "Value Mapping Agencies" and gave my source and target agencies detials. Then i clicked on DISPLY and in the next page I have 3 columns - Value for <source agency>, Value for <target agency> and Group name.
When I give duplicate values in the column Vlaue for <target agency>, it doesnt allow me to and if i right click in this column, i get the above mentioend options.
Please point out where i m going wrong.

Issue-Mapping Multiple Source Occurence to Single Target Occurence

Hi Gurus,
I have a requirement where the source has occurence 0 to 4 where as the target has occurence 1 to 1 .
Let the source segment be S where the child elements for S are S1 and S2 .
S1 takes the values 1 , 2 & 3 .
S2 takes the values X , Y & Z .
I need to map S2 to target field T1 if and only if S1 has the value "2" .
How can we achieve this ? I tried using the node functions but couldn't achive as i want the 2nd value of S2 from the given set of values ( X , Y & Z ) .
Please help me out in this issue.

S1 --> removeContext --> equalsS --> ifWithoutElse --> removeContext (used to remove suppressed values) --> T1

Can anyone please refresh my memory on how to concatenate multiple row values into a single column value.
In the following query, I will get multiple denial reasons per application and I would rather return all denial reasons on one line.

SharePoint 2013 - SPD Custom Workflow keeps sending multiple emails for a single Task

I have a workflow triggering on List item created only. There are multiple stages in the work flow and in each stage a single task is assigned to a group of people. Currently group is only having one user i.e. my own test user with a valid email address.
Workflow was running fine for first 5 runs but now it keeps sending multiple emails for each task multiple times and runs very slow. I have only single workflow in development server with 24GB RAM.
Enabling the Workflow log in Event viewer does not show any error or warnings. The only clue I see is WorkFlowManager Database table "DebugTrace" having multiple entries showing that WF is trying to send same email multiple times with failed attempts,
but in reality emails are being delivered as well.

Adding field values together using Advanced Field Management

Hi All
I have 5 currency fields on the Revenue page, that I need to add together into one field, Total Amount (currency field also). I have made Total Amount field read only, and using adv field mgt set the following default and ticked post default:
[<Revenue>]=[<cCorporate_Income_ITAG>]+[<cDonation_Income_ITAG>]+[<cFlower_Income_ITAG>]+[<cHost_ITAG>]+[<cMerchandise_Income_ITAG>]
It does not seem to work, is this possible at all or am I not doing something right.

I'm having a very similar issue. I'm trying to do the calculation as a default field value and receive the following error:
[1] An error occurred calculating the default value for field 'ZCur_5' in business component 'Revenue'.(SBL-DAT-00412) [2] Could not evaluate expression 'Expr: '=[<cMetal_Rate_ITAG>]*[<nQuoted_Weight_ITAG>]*[<nDross_Factor_ITAG>]'' for field 'ZCur_5' in business component 'Revenue'.(SBL-DAT-00394) [3] Generic SSA NOTOK error message.(SBL-DAT-00472)
I can make the update work via workflow, but this does not help during the initial creation of the record.
Any ideas?

Caching values between different executions of a message mapping

Like global container object is used for caching values between different user defined functions
within the same message mapping.
Can v have some sort of cachingvalues
between simultaneos exceutions of same message mapping?

Hi Bhasker raj,
This facility is there if you are using seeburger adapters.
YOu can use something called seeburger variables which can hold the data beyong the mapping in some permanent memory.
Alternatively, you can think of creating a ZTABLE in the ABAP stack of XI and storing the data you want in it, using a UDF and get it back in another UDF.
YOu can use the first UDF at last node/field in the message mapping and the
secomd UDF in the first node/field in the mapping.

GlobalContainer object values acessed among UDF's in message mapping ?

i have scenario where i am using globalContainer variable functionality in my message mapping.
in edit java section
String usr;
Container container ;
GlobalContainer globalContainer ;
intialize usr = "";
in First UDF
String inlogin_sess = " ashutosh test value" ;
globalContainer.setParameter(usr,inlogin_sess);
return any value :
now if i create another 2nd UDF and use :
String out =globalContainer.getParameter(usr);
return out ;
now 2nd UDF is giving null pointer exception...
for testing the code functionality..
IF i use the SET and GET in 1st UDF :
globalContainer.getParameter(usr);   in 1st UDF than it is working sucessfully...
globalContainer.setParameter(usr,inlogin_sess);
String out = globalContainer.getParameter(usr);
return out ;
in help.sap it is mentioned that Globalcontainer objects values can be fetched   among UDF's in one message mapping....

GET and SET are used in SAME UDF...

return any value :
and in UDF2
String out = globalContainer.getParameter(usr);
return out ;
mainting the sequence
My concern is object globalContainer is local in UDF1, so it will through nullpointer ,if we try to access in UDF2.
if we declare globalContainer   in edit jave -GlobalVariables also, still it is having the error..
