Send text via GPRS to MIDlet

I want to send message text via GPRS to my MIDlet
But I wonder how to 'push' it...
I've got the IP address of the MIDlet, but i dont think simply push the message to the IP address will do...coz IP is 'shared' by every application in the mobile phone right?
I wonder should i have an indicator to verify that message is for my MIDlet.
Or I should write a class to be a 'listener' in JAVA to read the data if any?
Any advice will be very very much appreciated!

U can do one think Write Servlet or JSP Application on server.And MIDLEt open one HTTP Connection which access the servlet of the server Then that servlet read the file from anywhere and write the data on outputstream of the httpconnection object

Popup upon Startup indicating I can send Texts via my iPhone

I'm sure this is somehow due to a new feature for those with iPhones, iOS 8.1 and Yosemite, but the thing I'm not getting is what is New about this. My MacBook Air showed the popup upon Yosemite Startup saying if I want to send Text Messages via my Cell Phone Number just click OK ...then a Code popup said to insert it into my iPhone. I decided not to continue setting this feature up because I have been sending Messages via my MacBook Air using my Send and Receive Cell Phone Number forever. The next time I picked up my iPhone a popup gave me an opportunity to insert the Code for this Text Send capability from my MBA.
Maybe I have only been sending iMessages and not following through with a Text from my MBA ...who knows?

I have now found this feature on each Device and enabled it. No problems although I don't actually know what now can happen that is New.

How to send texts via bluetooth linked PDA

I would like to be able to send text messages from my PDA via my bluetooth linked Nokia 6320i.
Please can anyone tell me how to do this or recommend any software for my WM5.0 PDA to be able to do it?

I was wondering if there was any third party software out there that anyone used for PDA - I can send messages from my PC using the Nokia PC Suite, connecting my phone by bluetooth. It would be really useful to do the same from my PDA.

Sending text via USB link from PC

I have a Nokia 6300 and PC Suite version 6.86.9.3. the PC Suite seems to work fine, it synchs to PC without problem, however when trying to send text from PC i get message saying it was sent successfully but the txt does not go neither does it appear in any draft or outbox files on either the PC or mobile! Help!

Send Text via email

Is it possible a text message to iPhone from a computer via email? Not talking about an email message, that obviously can be done, talking about having message show up as a text message using an email account? I tried [email protected] (xxx my cell phone number) and so far that seemed to go into the bit bucket.

Thanks for the answer. I checked out the APP but pretty much already knew it wasn't the solution to my issue. I want to be able to send email from a computer to my iPhone and have it show up as an SMS message. Is that possible?

I can no longer send texts via "Messages" from my Mac to non-Apple phones.

After the latest Mac OS upgrade, my "Messages" app stopped sending and receiving texts from non-Apple phone users. Has anyone else experienced this interruption?

It appears you are unable to use SMS relay, a Continuity feature in Yosemite. The following article provides basic troubleshooting steps you may want to explore:
Get help using Continuity with iOS 8 and OS X Yosemite - Apple Support
If a Continuity feature like Handoff, phone calls, Instant Hotspot, or SMS messages isn't working the way you'd expect, make sure your devices meet the requirements. Then check your settings.
Check System Requirements
Make sure your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac meet the system requirements for Continuity, and for the specific features you want to use.
Check your settings
Check the following settings on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch:
Go to Settings > Wi-Fi and turn on Wi-Fi if necessary.
Make sure your iOS devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network by going to Settings > Wi-Fi and comparing the name of the network each is on.
Go to Settings > Bluetooth and turn on Bluetooth if necessary.

i am in thailand right now with my iPhone 3G 16 GB (italian, no SIM-lock, 2.2). my problem: the iPhone does not send emails via GPRS/EDGE of local AIS mobile provider (there is no 3G in thailand right now). each time i try, i will get a prompt saying 'cannot send mail, the connection to the outgoing server "mail.gmx.net" failed'.
in germany, i use a contract SIM from o2, in thailand a prepaid SIM from AIS. i have configured 2 german pop mail accounts on my phone (gmx.de, o2online.de). receiving and sending email work fine on WLAN (everywhere, also here in thailand) and in germany on 3G/EDGE/GPRS. internet works everywhere, too. so, configuration seems to be okay. for each account, i use the same (smtp) sending server for all networks (ie i do not change configurations, using mail.gmx.net and pop.o2online.de). for a test, i changed smtp server to the AIS proprietary server mail.cscoms.com, but no change in behaviour.
so, any ideas how i can get my iPhone to not only receive but also send emails via GPRS of AIS?

ok. i found the solution.
The problem is not in the iphone, the problem was DNS resolution in the server side.

i'm trying to send texts via the iPhone to a friend on the verizon network and it's not working? any insights?

I notice the original poster hasn't reposted. So this may have been the case:
Many towers have trouble going from one network to another. On few cases the message never gets there. This is a serious problem that the providers are not rushing out to fix. why would they want to make cross network stuff work better? They want everyone on their own network.
In fact my friends and I were watching Heroes and we all had different networks. We noticed that if person A sent person V a text it would take 40 min. If person V sent person A a text it took only a moment.
I have often had the problem of being able to make out calls from my iPhone on V towers while people calling me would get a "not available" message.
Its a mess and will continue to be as long as the providers want to play games and delay fixing issues (or ignore them completely.)

RTP was designed for audio/video, not text. You might as well just use a normal socket...

My iPhone 3GS is no longer able to send pictures via text??

I've done a total phone reset, taken it to the ATT store (they checked all the MMS settings and they were correct), sync'd it to itunes and downloaded all updates...but still can't gte it to send pictures via text?
This all started last Monday when I traveled out to las Vegas...every picture I tried to send would get the status bar about 95% across on the send before popping up a red exclamation point next to the picture that gives me a "message failed to send" error. Here's a screen cap:

I had same problem. Check your Settings/General/Network/Cellular Data Network - make sure your MMSS has 2 // After http, ie, http//... If you have to change this, make sure you switch iPhone off and restart after 20 seconds, go back to your settings to make sure changes have stayed put. Then take a photo and MMS it to yourself, this will take a minute or 2 to go through.

The problem is with the new operating system and sending photo via email when used in my iPad. From photo I selected 3 photos to send via email. I choose the upload key and choose to send by email. Typing text on the email is very slow.

Can you amend he system to allow emails to be sent from photo as previously.

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after the iPad shuts down, then press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds). Ignore the "Slide to power off"

Check your settings> messages and see if iMessages is turned on and if so how many 'receive at' addresses you are using, it may well be that your email address is entered as one of these addresses.

No phone can send photos via SMS. You would need MMS (or iMessage or a 3rd party app such as WhatsApp). SMS messages are limited to 160 characters of text only.

Step 2 in this stupidity - the phone keeps trying to send the deleted text via SMS and wont stop notifying me of this. Totally ruining the functionallity of my phone, and more so totally annoying. All I want to do is stop the constant re-trying of sending the deleted SMS.

Hi, many thanks for your help - Pressing and holding sleep/reset hasn't worked, the msg is still continually reporting it is failing to send. I can restore to a previous version however I'll lose my paid apps. Is there any way to work around this. I'm only concerned about one app - Epocam HD which I purchased last month. My last backup on PC is 4 March 13 - before I bought the paid app - Itunes advises me I'll have to re-pay to get my apps (app) back. Even though it advises that icloud backed up this morning at 1:30 am (which although it is before the text, I cannot manually select this restore).
What a mess!
