Sender Adapter - Content Conversion Key Field Query

Hi,
I have a flat file of the following structure I am attempting to convert to XML using a file sender adatper:
H1,H2,H3,H4
D1,D2,D3,D4,D5,D6
D1,D2,D3,D4,D5,D6
D1,D2,D3,D4,D5,D6
T1,T2,T3,T4
Within the Content Conversion tab I have a Recordset Structure of:
Header,1,Detail,*,Trailer,1
i.e one header record, multiple detail records and one trailer as per the above example.
It would seem that according to errors generated via Communication Channel Monitoring that this sort of Recordset Structure requires the Key Field Name to be set. I have searched around the forum and looked at the help.sap.com site and I'm struggling to understand what is required here.
Anyone help ?

Yes you need to set key field value for your Header, Detail and Trailer
Example:
Header.keyFieldValue    H1
Detail.keyFieldValue     D1
Trailer.keyFieldValue   T1

Now i'm facing another problem .. I m gettin only header record but i don see me items...

Attachment of original message in file sender adapter content conversion

Hi,
does anybody know how I can configure a file sender communication channel (with content conversion) so that the original file is added to the XI SOAP message as attachment? Maybe this is just a parameter in "Advanced" tab. (The content conversion itself is not an issue.)
The result should be the "Main Document" (XML-message) and the "original document" as two attachments in the SOAP payload.
The reason for this is that the original file should be archived with the XML message as it was before the XML content conversion of the file sender adapter took place.

original file is added to the XI SOAP message as attachment?
The "Advanced" tab -> additional files added in file adapter should act as the attachment to soap receiver adapter if u select the "Keep Attachments" option in soap receiver communication channel.
What do u want to do in FCC is a bit unclear?

File Content Conversion - Key Field Value

Hi Experts,
I am using File to Idoc scenario for my mapping. In the receiver Communication channel, I am using File Content Conversion. My scenario is as follows :
I have a recordset with Header and Line items with Key Field Indicator as 'H' and 'L'. In some cases, the value for this Key Field is coming in as something other than 'H' and 'L'. I need to throw an exception when this Key Field is not 'H' or 'L'.
In the 'Content Conversion' tab, my attributes are as:
Header_Structure.keyFieldValue = 'H' and Line_Structure.keyFieldValue = 'L'. Is there any more attributes that I need to add ?

Sender Adapter Content Conversion in Bytes.

This might sound crazy, but I was wondering if for the parameter:
Transform.ContentType
(I'm assuming this is the one that converts the file by using a charset)
There is an option to use bytes, or send bytes of data to the message mapping.
Or if there is any other way to send the data in bytes to the message mapping with the sender adapter.

routines, particularly in the JMS adapter. You can use this module in sender and receiver communication channels.

on the basis of keyfields i had to pick the values

U have specified the keyfield two times....
either u can remove <b>>>E2ED20.keyFieldName KEY01</b> from fcc and change ut DT to have a field KG to hold the keyvalue or
u can remove <b>>>Keyfield Name: KG</b> so that the field specified by the <b>field.keyFieldName</b> is used to identify the keyfield...

Key field from content - Sender file adapter content conversion

I am reading a source CSV file that has this structure. All rows in the source file are the same structure: line items of a PO. But there will be multiple POs in a single file, identified by the PO number as one column in the file.
PONum,LineItemNum,Qty,Description
001,1,34,Carrots
001,2,17,Apples
001,3,22,Bananas
002,1,4,Mangos
002,2,9,Coconuts
003,1,44,Grapes
Goal is to generate 3 messages, one for each PO:
<po>
     <num>001</num>
     <line_items>
          ... 3 line items for PO # 001 ...
     </line_items>
</po>
<po>
     <num>002</num>
     <line_items>
          ... 2 line items for PO # 002 ...
     </line_items>
</po>
<po>
     <num>003</num>
     <line_items>
          ... 1 line item for PO # 003 ...
     </line_items>
</po>
Is there any way to use the Content Conversion Key Field Name to group the line items into the correct 3 messages? "Key Field Name" expects a static identifier for each type of row; but mine varies by the PO number in the content.
Or do I need to do this in the mapping? If so, what is the easiest way to split 1 large message of all line items into multiple target messages based on the PO number? (I assume this is better than sending individual line item messages and aggregating them later, as long as the file size is OK.)

Hi Robert,
If ur goal is to split into 3 messages one for each PO, you can go for message split and using graphical mapping you can achieve that.
Within the message mapping go to the tab Messages.
Change the occurrence of the target message to 0..unbounded.

Need Help in Sender File Content Conversion

Hi All,
I request your expert advice on Sender File content Conversion. I need to process the below pasted file. I was able to achieve this by keeping a offset of 6 in Sender PI File Adapter (PI 7.1) to ignore first 6 lines and used a Unix script to remove last line"END OF REPORT".
Now my new requirement is I need to capture the date "DECEMBER 2009" from line 3. How can I do this. I have set offset as 6 so Adapter will start processing from line 7. If I don't set offset Interface fails. Please suggest. Thank you.

Sender File Content Conversion. Pls suggest

Hi All,
I have to do the Sender File content conversion for the below file.
First Line is for Sender. Second Line is for Receiver. Third ,Fourth and Fifth lines are Invoice Numbers which can be more also.
The issue is coming that there is no Key Field defined for third ,fourth and Fifth line .

Hi Rachit,
              In that case you can use temporary source structure to hold contents from the source flat file and using FCC you split the content by 'nl' and store it in one node (For rg:-<SDATA>) then using mapping you can map that to original source structure and then to target structure, here you need to use intermediate mapping (i.e two mappings) to archive the target structure.

File sender with content conversion and ignoreRecordsetName

Him,
I have an scenario with a compressed file sender with content conversion.
In my sender cc i have:
1     AF_Modules/PayloadZipBean     Local Enterprise Bean     unzip
2     AF_Modules/MessageTransformBean     Local Enterprise Bean     transform
3     CallSapAdapter     Local Enterprise Bean     2
In module configuration, I have also added:
xml.ignoreRecordsetName --> true
But RecordsetName is not removed from XML
Why?

Hi,
No need to enter anything in module configuration. Just specify following Name-Value pair in the table provided on the Content Conversion tab of your file adapter.

Sender File Content Conversion Complexity

It is again time to dip into the well of knowledge that is SDN.
I have a question about sender file content conversion.
It appears that I can only create simple XML structures with it, but I'm hoping someone here can help.
Lets says I have a file where each record layout is the same.   There are not header records, trailer records, etc.   Basically only one structure within the recordset.
However the record itself may have a complicated structure.   For example, the layout of each record may be:
String1, String2, String3, Array(0:3) consisting of String4, String5, String6.
Can I convert that to a structure of
<Node>
    <string1>
    <string2>
    <string3>
    <array>
        <string4>
        <string5>
        <string6>
    <array>
        <string4>
        <string5>
        <string6>
</Node>
Or must I create a DT containing one node giving string4,5 and 6 a unique name for each occurance?

Hi,
You can go with generic structure and then either in the adapter module or Mapping, you can format the structure. Because content conversion has a limitation to upto one level.

Sender File Content Conversion with headerline

Hi,
Is it possible to do via the sender file content conversion in the file adaptor for the following flat file?
Inbound flatfile format:-
FILEHEADER
HEADER1
DETAILS1
DETAILS2
DETAILS3
HEADER2
DETAILS1
DETAILS2
DETAILS3
Target XML file format:-
<XML>
<FILEHEADER></FILEHEADER>     occurrence 1
<RECORDSET>                occurence *
   <HEADER></HEADER>     occurence 1
   <DETAILS></DETAILS>    occurence *
</RECORDSET>
</XML>

I've read through all the blogs, and have no leads on how to get this done?
I tried putting the following into the recordset. FileHeader, 1, Header, 1, Details, *
But it does'nt seem to work, the above is expecting the Fileheader and header to be repeated in the file to be sent.
My file is in the following format.
Fileheader
Header1
Details1
Details2
Details3
Header2
Details1
Details2
Details3
I need the following XML format
<XML>
<Fileheader>
<invoice>
   <header1>
      <details1>
      <details2>
      <details3>
</header1>
</invoice>
<invoice>
   <header2>
      <details1>
      <details2>
      <details3>
     </header2>
</invoice>
</XML>

XML file conversion after sender file content conversion

Hi,
I have issue refarding file content conversion.
My input structure is
<MT_RCICrecords>
<TRNH>
<RCIC>
<RECH>
<RECL>
<RCIC>
<TRNH>
Afetr sender File content conversion (csv to xml) it produces xml file as below (since file conversion does not support 3rd level of hierarchy)
<TRNH>
<RECH>
</RECH>
<RECL>
</RECL>
</TRNH>
It does not recognize RCIC.
Now i am trying to map this to IDOC and getting error as
'MT_RCICRecords tag found instead of IDOC BEGIN ='.
CAn anyone suggest me how to chaage this xml output after File content conversion to add RCIC tag in xml file?
I am new to XI so please give me some sample code to.

and i want it to be

which is not happening
