File Sender Adapter: Content Conversion :Mandatory parameter 'xml.keyfieldN

i have a scenario where i had to pick a flat file and post it to RFC.
on the basis of keyfields i had to pick the values
but i am getting mandatort field xml.keyfieldnamec: no value
my flat file is of type :

U have specified the keyfield two times....
either u can remove >>E2ED20.keyFieldName KEY01 from fcc and change ut DT to have a field KG to hold the keyvalue or
u can remove >>Keyfield Name: KG so that the field specified by the field.keyFieldName is used to identify the keyfield...

Attachment of original message in file sender adapter content conversion

Hi,
does anybody know how I can configure a file sender communication channel (with content conversion) so that the original file is added to the XI SOAP message as attachment? Maybe this is just a parameter in "Advanced" tab. (The content conversion itself is not an issue.)
The result should be the "Main Document" (XML-message) and the "original document" as two attachments in the SOAP payload.
The reason for this is that the original file should be archived with the XML message as it was before the XML content conversion of the file sender adapter took place.

The "Advanced" tab -> additional files added in file adapter should act as the attachment to soap receiver adapter if u select the "Keep Attachments" option in soap receiver communication channel.
What do u want to do in FCC is a bit unclear?

File sender with content conversion and ignoreRecordsetName

I have an scenario with a compressed file sender with content conversion.
In my sender cc i have:
1     AF_Modules/PayloadZipBean     Local Enterprise Bean     unzip
2     AF_Modules/MessageTransformBean     Local Enterprise Bean     transform
3     CallSapAdapter     Local Enterprise Bean     2
In module configuration, I have also added:
xml.ignoreRecordsetName --> true
But RecordsetName is not removed from XML
Why?

Hi,
No need to enter anything in module configuration. Just specify following Name-Value pair in the table provided on the Content Conversion tab of your file adapter.
Add a row with Name = ignoreRecordsetName and Value = true (Both case-sensitive)

Sender Adapter Content Conversion in Bytes.

This might sound crazy, but I was wondering if for the parameter:
Transform.ContentType
(I'm assuming this is the one that converts the file by using a charset)
There is an option to use bytes, or send bytes of data to the message mapping.
Or if there is any other way to send the data in bytes to the message mapping with the sender adapter.

In SP9, there is a standard module MessageTransformBean for specific conversion
routines, particularly in the JMS adapter. You can use this module in sender and receiver communication channels.

Data is picked up from the DB and our payload before getting in to File adapter is given below.

ASDAS,18978,10000.0
What change we need to do in our File Receiver Adapter configuration.

Test without these 2 options :
 AssoInfoNode.addHeaderLine = 0
 AssoInfoNode.endSeparator = 'nl'
I think your problem is with the "endSeparator", it is not necessary.
A new line is created for each new AssoInfoNode automaticaly.

Sender Adapter - Content Conversion Key Field Query

Hi,
I have a flat file of the following structure I am attempting to convert to XML using a file sender adatper:
H1,H2,H3,H4
D1,D2,D3,D4,D5,D6
D1,D2,D3,D4,D5,D6
D1,D2,D3,D4,D5,D6
T1,T2,T3,T4
Within the Content Conversion tab I have a Recordset Structure of:
Header,1,Detail,*,Trailer,1
i.e one header record, multiple detail records and one trailer as per the above example.
It would seem that according to errors generated via Communication Channel Monitoring that this sort of Recordset Structure requires the Key Field Name to be set. I have searched around the forum and looked at the help.sap.com site and I'm struggling to understand what is required here.
Anyone help ?

Yes you need to set key field value for your Header, Detail and Trailer
Example:
Header.keyFieldValue    H1
Detail.keyFieldValue     D1
Trailer.keyFieldValue   T1

File Sender adapter with File content conversion

I'm having problems picking up a flat file that has some junk characters in the file.
I'm usign a file sender adapter with file content conversion. The adapters shows the following error-
Conversion of complete file content of to XML format failed around position 0: sun.io.MalformedInputException
this is the sample data with junk char's -

There is not much in the file content conversion. This is a fixed length file, I'm just pickign it up & passing it to an inbound proxy. All my processing is in the proxy.

Do you use a specific "encoding" like UTF-8 or ISO-8859-1 in your Sender CC?
To be simple, Encoding is linked to country, you can find all "iso-nnnn" via google or some of them in sap help.

Moreover, with your source file opened thanks to Notepad (for instance), use option "save UNDER", you will the encoding use by your file

We are loading a csv file with PI 7.0 file sender adapter using "content conversion" - all fields go through EXCEPT a special character hex '208C' (space in front) looks like "Æ" is converted to hex 'C28C'.

Hope you have set the following for your file sender adapter :
1. Transfer Mode is set to Binary,
2. File Type Text,
3. Encoding ISO-8859-1( for Western European Latin ).
Inorder to recognize Polish Character, try as follows :
Your sender file after coming into Pi has XML encoding declaration 'UTF-8'.
Write a simple XSLT mapping to change the value of the attribute "encoding" to "ISO-8859-1" in the output XML of message mapping . Include this XSLT map as the second mapping step in your interface mapping.
First step in your interface mapping will be your already existing message mapping.
An example of the XSL code :

<xsl:stylesheet xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform">
<xsl:output method='xml' encoding='ISO-8859-1' />
<xsl:template match="/">

Sender Mail Adapter Content Conversion

 I just want to know if we can send a flat file(Rather Than the XML) with content conversion using Mail Adapter. If yes then what are all the possible ways for this.
I have tried but i am sucessful in sending the complete payload as a XML file, but i want the file with the content conversion, so that this should be able to picked by the third party systems.
Will be oblidge if any supported blog or pdf is provided for the same.

Now for the negative items, i want to send them back to business as flat file format
using the mail adapter as attachment. This will help them to process the file as for there
requirement.
Since you need to send an email message you have to use the format mentioned here: (S-UserID required)

Save this file as an XSD in you local system and upload it as an External Definition in your XI server.
Develop MI based on this External Definition (IN, ASYNC)
Create an Interface Mapping with Source as the file containing Negative items and target as the above developed MI
Now you need to develop an XSLT mapping (can use StylusStudio to do it) between the source and target Message Types
This XSLT mapping has to be designed in such a way that it extracts the payload out of the Negative Items message and maps it to the target (Content) field....you need to use CDATA element of XSLT here.
In this mapping itself you can define to what email-id you want to send the message.....
Everything happens on the XI --> Business service side...so it is not the sender channel but is the receiver channel:)
Your XSLT mapping will look something like:
<Mail>
 <Content>
 XSLT CODE
 </Content>
</Mail>
where Mail and Content are the tags in the email message format...the External definition one.....

The URL of the Integration Server is wrong or you cannot access the server from the host, where the J2SE adapter is running:
XI.TargetURL=http://host:50200/sap/xi/engine?type=entry
If the Client of the Integration Server is not 000, then you have also to add that line:
XI.Client=XXX

File Sender Adapter with FTP protocol

Hi,
I implementet a file sender adapter with FTP protocol. There is a problem: the sender processes the files even if they're in use by another application.
I.E. If another application put files (via ftp) in the sender work directory (that is on ftp), the sender processes those files before their transfer is completed.
I don't want that this sender in a communication channel in PI 7.1, imports files in the system when they aren't completed yet.
There are some ways to block sender before it processes incompleted files (in an ftp)?

File sender adapter provides a check for NFS mode

To specify additional parameters in the adapter configuration, set the Advanced Modeindicator.
● Msecs to Wait Before Modification Check
Enter the number of milliseconds that the adapter must wait before it checks whether the files have been changed.
This parameter is not available if you have selected File Content Conversion as the Message Protocoland then made an entry under Recordsets per Message that splits an input file into several messages.
This parameter is applicable only for the File adapter. If you enter a value in this field when configuring the sender FTP adapter, it will have no effect.+
Other approach can be to apply OS level checks

Receiver JMS Adapter Content Conversion issue

Scenario :
R/3 -->XI -->MQ(XML2Plain)
Hi
We are using Receiver JMS Adapter to send the Message from XI to MQ.
The XML has to be converted to plain file. And Content conversion is
being done.
With the new development, the message type defined consist of 8 fields
with fixed length. The XML message goes successfully from XI to MQ
without any content conversion. But once simple content conversion is
being done for Receiver JMS adapter, even though the message is
received but its empty (without any data records). The adapter
monitoring everything seems fine and it gives the status that message
converted to binary and the message is delivered to MQ. Though on
checking the messages there is no data records.
Below is my content conversion configuration done in Module tab. Kindly
revert back what can be the problem as have done exactly the same way
as described in Content Conversion How to Guide for receiver JMS.

check localejbs/SAP XI JMS Adapter/ConvertMessageToBinary Local Enterprise Bean convert_XI2Bin
this is not CallJMSService.
And also check the receiver Structure, if it is falt structure its ok, else

File sender adapter:FILE to IDOC without BPM, can't see in SXMB_MONI.

Hi all
I have a FILE - XI - IDOC Async scenario without BPM.
I configured FILE sender adapter and IDOC receiver adapter. I made a mapping to transfer file data to the structure of IDOC.
Now when i am trying to load the file using command prompt, i cud see nothing in the monitoring. Whereas if i go to the communication channel monitoring of runtime workbench, i saw that CC is polling correctly and was reading the file also.
And also wen i saw in the processed folder which i mentioned in the CC configuration for the ARCHIVE DIRECTORY, i saw that file got transferred to the folder also.
I don't understand why i cant see anything in the monitoring.
Could anybody help me to rectify the problem. Is there anything i m missing ?

TCode:: SXMB_ADM->Integration engine configuration->specific configuration->runtime
Trace_Level = 3 then you can get all MONI PIPELINE Steps also
I did this change but cudn't see anything in SXMB_MONI.
This is how i have configured my process:

But instead of IDOC splitting i have simple FILE - XI -IDOC scenario.
I have configured everything exaclty the same way it is mentioned here. But for me the process is not visible at all.
I can't even see the first request message in the monitoring.
This is the message i can see in the communication channel monitoring:
2010-05-24 09:07:41 Success Channel CC_*: Entire file content converted to XML format
2010-05-24 09:07:41 Warning Channel CC_*: Empty document found. Proceed without sending message
2010-05-24 09:07:41 Success File "/xyz/ABC.txt" archived after processing
Is there any problem with the file and that could be the reason it cant convert the file to the request message MT_REQUEST and thus am not able to see anything in monitoring.
help me guys....this is a simple process and i m stuck...its frustrating
