Sender filename in receiver payload without using mapping.

hi Experts,
I have a File to RFC scenario. wherein i need to pass source filename and filepath as parameter to RFC whenever file arrives at source directory.
I am not using IR contents. What could be the simplest way to achieve this.
One way ofcourse is to write an adapter module to generate Receiver payload with the required information.
Can we have even more easier way to achieve this. Can something be done in Content conversion to get the receiver xml payload with filename and filepath?
Regards,
Girish

Hi Girish
You can use  IR mapping for a binary source data, but it must be a Java class, not an abap or graphical mapping.
Regards,
Carme.

  • How to Hold Sender Filename for Receiver Filename

    Hello,
I have a File (xml) -> PI -> File (flat) scenario where I need to maintain a part of the sender filename and use it in the receiver filename.  This value can be one of three values (if that matters).
I envision having to get the filename value into my payload and then using receiver filename substitution.  But how would I get the filename into my payload?  Is there another way to "carry" part of the filename over to my output?
    example:
    sender files:  A.123.X, A.456.X, A.789.X
    - need to do mapping into new format and create...
    receiver files: B.123, B.456, B.789
(the 123, 456 and 789 are not in the original payload data)
    Thanks,
    Keith

    Problem 2:
if add o.. unbound for the rfc occurance, <messages>,<message1> tags are getting added in message mapping, and no single customer record sent to rfc..

  • Creating context-sensitive HTML Help without using Map #s

I am uisng RH 8 and am producing a compiled HTML Help file.
I am wondering if there is another way to call a topic from our application without using the MAP numbers in RH.
The developer would like to use the MAP ID (string) instead.
Is there a way to do this?
    Please let me know.
    Thanks.

Your points are valid but there are also situations when urls are an excellent method.
For some projects our developers name fields and we have a method of identifying the name applied. We use that as our filename. By that means they know what the help file will be and can create the call before the topic exists and we don't have to maintain map ids for those projects. If we should fail to create the topic, the call has the logic to go to a higher level.
I wouldn't advise using map ids or urls, I would say understand how both work, their pros and cons, and then decide what works for the project.

If anyone have any idea about this than please enlight me with your valuable solutions and  advices...
    Thanx
    Regards
    Ajral

    Hi SamGoe,
According to your description, my understanding is that you want to update the PoerPoint slide from SharePoint 2010 slide library automatically.
It seems to be not necessary to use Macros. SharePoint provides an OOB way to notify you to check for update to the slide library slides when you open the presentation. PowerPoint does this because you selected the option
Tell me when this slide changes when you copied the slides from the library.
More information, please refer to the link below:
    http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/powerpoint-help/sharepoint-slide-libraries-ii-use-slides-in-the-library-RZ010254089.aspx?section=6
    I hope this helps.

  • How to send messages in Facebook app without using Messenger once deleted from iphone?

With all the rumors that the Facebook messenger app can check all your contacts, use your camera etc. Ive decided to remove the messenger app from my iphone. But now when I go into the Facebook App and tap on messages, it is requiring me to download the messenger app again and I no longer want this?
    Can this be fixed?
    Please help
    Thank you
    J

Facebook has moved messages to their own messages app, we are no longer able to send/receive messages without it. You can, however, use the mobile Facebook website in Safari: http://m.facebook.com You'll need to click the "Not now" button when you're prompted to install Facebook Messenger.

  • How to Send Emails for failed messages without using Alert

    Hi Experts,
In our project, we need to trigger Emails for the failed messages in SXMB_MONI / Adapter Engine without using Alert Framewrok.
Please let me know the below :
    1. Is this really possible to avoid Alert?
    2. If possible, then can we accomplish this by creating any PI Scenario? Please provide me some knowledge.
    3. Can we do it by writing any ABAP Code? If ABAP report can make it, then please provide me the code/ tables which will be needed. If any Blog/ Wiki is there, then please let me know the URLs.
    Thanks,
    Nabendu.

    Hi Nabendu,
If your customer asks for mails with specific text for message failure, tell that it is not possible. Because Message will go through several engines like Adapter Engine, Integration Engine, BPE. You can not generate mails for the message failures in all these areas with out standard alert mechanism. These are pure technical alerts which only PI people can understand, not business alerts.
Example: assume your sender channel is unable to connect FTP Server, in this case you can not generate even though you will develop adapter module to generate alerts.
So for message validation only you can send mails not for message failures.
    thanks,
    madhu

  • Can i send a email from application without using exchange server?

    Hello
I am developing a 3 tier application using EJB, JSP....and i want to incorporate the mail sending facility.
Can i send a email from the application without using exchange server?
    plzz help!!!!
    Pavan

You will require some kind of SMTP server to be able to send mail from your app (not necessarily M$ exchange.) Just look for mail servers for the platform of your choice.

  • How to Send One file to different Receiver Systems without using ESR Object

    Hi Gurus
I have developed two interafces in my current project and they are both By pass scenarios. My requirement was to Send Data from MDM system to BW system. This development does not involve any ESR objects, By Pass sceanrio.
Now there is the requirement to Send one file or files from MDM system to different BW( two BW systems for different regions)
    How can i accomplish this.
here we are not using any ESR Objects, so to maintain any condition in Receiver Determination is not possible.
Please let me know how to do this.
    Tahnx in advance.

    Hi Arjun,
If i understand your situation correctly, You need to define two separate Business Systems/Components in SLD for each BW system.
if you intend to send the file from MDM to both the BW systems, then you need to configure the following:
    1. If you want to follow the classical approach (for this by-pass scenario):
    a) Two receiver channels - One for each BW system
    b) Two receiver agreements for each channel
    c) One Receiver determination - with both the receiver systems added as receivers (w/o condition)
    d) Two interface determination - Dummy mappings as it is a by-pass scenario
    2. If yo want to go ahead with the Integrated Configuration (most preferred in this case):
    a)  Two receiver channels - One for each BW system
    b) One Integrated Configuration Scenario (ICO) with both the receivers configured in Outbound Processing tab
Let us know if you were looking for something else (as your problem statement is not very clear)
    Hope this helps.

  • Can send but not receive from .mac using Mail

I've a problem that pre-dates the mobile me change where the Mail application won't download mail from my .mac account. The most recent email downloaded was from three months ago and since then I have had the tilde character showing next to my .mac account indicating there is a problem.
I have no problem sending mail from my .mac account, and emails from other non .mac accounts are downloaded without any problem. Webmail is ok - previously in .mac and now in mobile me and until now I've been logging in that way hoping it will resolve itself, but obviously it hasn't done.
Any help or pointers will be gratefully received.
    Thanks
    Andrew

    Hello,
All dot.Mac and Dot.Me account have migrated to iCloud.
You should have been given details of expiry for the .Mac account to iCloud. Apple have now shut .Me and .Mac account for web access.

  • Sending external emaiil from worklflow without using automatic forward

    Dear all,
I implemented an emaiil sending when a purchase requisition needs to be released.
I first assign an emaiil adress in this step using type U and my emaiil adress, that's works fine.
Then, I created an organizational structure in order to send the emaiil notification to several recipient.
The 3 users receive the notification in their SAP inbox and I would want to send directly to their Lotus maiilbox.
I set-up an automatic forward toward my hotmaiil adress and that works fine.
But I would want to avoid doing that to all the users.
Do you know how to proceed to send emaiils avoiding the automatic forward to their Lotus mailbox please ?
What it's strange is that when I receive the emaiil in hotmaiil I can see the 3 maiil adresses (retrieved from user data) in the distribution list. But only the adress coming from the automatic forward triggered an external emaiil.
Thanks a lot for your answers.
