Sending A Data Parameter

Question

Im putting together a record group from
Forms because everything has already been
queried there and I just want to "send" it to
Reports. All the documentation says to send
via DATA_PARAMETER...so I created one and
it seems to be working. I've found NO documentation on Reports side as to how to
use this DATA_PARAMETER in the query...so
here's what I did: I created a Query Model and named it the same as the DATA_PARAMETER sent from Forms. The query in my Query Model selects aliased columns of "dummy" from the DUAL table.
This is working sometimes but not always. I'm not even sure if I'm doing this right. I have open tars open with O. support on all the errors I'm getting. What I'm asking now is am I even using the DATA_PARAMETER correctly on the reports side? ANY advice/ideas are greatly appreciated!

No . Only text parameter is allowed.
Instead u can send the where clause or create a temp table and insert records to that
