Sending And Receiving IDOC (Inbound or Outbound) from Oracle To R/3

Hi everyone,
I am still new in XI development and i'm still confused even I have collect many information from SDN. Sometimes, when you got a lot information, instead of helping it's confused you _
My specification like this :
- There is XI between Oracle System and R/3
- In my functional design, i have given information about message type and basic type from IDOC
- I have given information about what BAPI that must be used to process IDOC
Anyone know how me to handle inbound and outbound for this specification (step by step) from setting XI,IDOC and Processing Code ? Thank you
Best Regards,
Satria

  • Sender and Receiver Idoc

    Hi All,
what are the settings need to be done on  both XI system and SAP R/3 system while XI system is communicating to any SAP R/3 system through an IDOC on any side sender or receiver.
Will there be any difference in the settings for sender and receiver SAP R/3 systems.
Could any body please suggest me some blogs or documents.
    Thanks in advance..

    Data Creation in Idoc
IDocs are text encoded documents with a rigid structure that are used to exchange data between R/3 and a foreign system. Instead of calling a program in the destination system directly, the data is first packed into an IDoc and then sent to the receiving system, where it is analyzed and properly processed. Therefore an IDoc data exchange is always an
asynchronous process. The significant difference between simple RFC-calls and IDoc data exchange is the fact, that every action performed on IDocs are protocolled by R/3 and IDocs can be reprocessed if an error occurred in one of the message steps.
While IDocs have to be understood as a data exchange protocol, EDI and ALE are typical use cases for IDocs. R/3 uses IDocs for both EDI and ALE to deliver data to the receiving system. ALE is basically the scheduling mechanism that defines when and between which partners and what kind of data will be exchanged on a regular or event triggered basis. Such a set-up is called an ALE-scenario.
IDoc is a intermediate document to exchange data between two SAP Systems.
*IDocs are structured ASCII files (or a virtual equivalent).
    *Electronic Interchange Document
*They are the file format used by SAP R/3 to exchange data with foreign systems.
*Data Is transmitted in ASCII format, i.e. human readable form
    *IDocs exchange messages
*IDocs are used like classical interface files
IDOC types are templates for specific message types depending on what is the business document, you want to exchange.
WE30 - you can create a IDOC type.
An IDOC with data, will have to be triggered by the application that is trying to send out the data.

An IDoc is simply a data container that is used to exchange information between any two processes that can understand the syntax and semantics of the data...
1.IDOCs are stored in the database. In the SAP system, IDOCs are stored in database tables.
2.IDOCs are independent of the sending and receiving systems.
3.IDOCs are independent of the direction of data exchange.
The two available process for IDOCs are
    Outbound Process
    Inbound Process
AND There are basically two types of IDOCs.
    Basic IDOCs
Basic IDOC type defines the structure and format of the business document that is to be exchanged between two systems.
    Extended IDOCs
Extending the functionality by adding more segments to existing Basic IDOCs.
To Create Idoc we need to follow these steps:
    Create Segment ( WE31)
    Create Idoc Type ( WE30)
    Create Message Type ( WE81)
Assign Idoc Type to Message Type ( WE82)

  • Sender and Receiver IDOC config Settings

Guys I have just come up with this document as a quick reference guide to enable me to be able to configure IDOC scenarios quickly and efficiently. Couls you please let me know if this looks ok and all is in the correct order.
    <u>Quick Guide to Scenarios</u>
Note A Ports only purpose is to allow either the SAP R/3 Backend system to establish an RFC connection with XI or allow the XI to establish an RFC Connection with the Receiver SAP R/3 system.
Note An RFC Destinations purpose is to: A) Communicate with the SAP system
    B) Pull metadata from either the Sender/Receiver SAP R/3 System or another reference system that contains the same IDOC.
    <u>Sender IDOC Scenario</u>
When configuring an IDOC Sender adapter there are a few things that you need to configure before you even start with the Config Directory itself.
Because IDOC Adapter resides on the ABAP stack no sender agreement or sender Comm Channel is necessary
Your main configuration is in R/3. You configure R/3 to send the IDOC to XI so hence you don’t need an IDOC Adapter or Comm Channel.
    1.     You need to define an RFC destination to XI in the R/3 Backend system. (SM59).  This RFC destination is used to retrieve the IDOC metadata from the sender system. The IDOC adapter needs these metadata to create the corresponding IDOC-XML message from the RFC stream.
    2.     Assign the destination to a Port in the R/3 Backend system (WE21)
    3.     Define your Partner Profiles for the IDOC you are trying to send and Reference that Port there as well (WE20)
Based on the above conditions, you do not need a Sender Comm Channel for IDOC or a Sender Agreement for the business scenario. Your only configuration in the Config Directory is to define R/3 as a Business System (no Comm Channel) and define the Receiver Business System along with the Receiver Determination, Interface Determination and Receiver agreement.
<b><u>I'm not sure if this step is necessary in the sender IDOC scenario</u></b> -
In XI box you must also define the ports in IDX1 which allows you to establish an RFC connection to pull the metadata in from the backend system, by specifying the RFC destination from where you want to get the info from. This system is defined by the sender port and the client in the IDOC control record. It is either the sender SAP system or an SAP reference system.
There are certain cases which you also need to use IDX2 (Cache). XI itself does need the IDOC metadata to execute the interface but it can usually use IDX1 to pull this data either from the SAP R/3 system or an equivalent reference system. However if there is already cached metadata and the IDOC has changed then IDX1 will not execute. In this instance you can pull this metadata manually using IDX2 (XI Box).
    <u>Receiver IDOC</u>
When you receive an IDOC things are a little more complex. You do need a Sender agreement and Comm Channel defined. Again there is much to be done in XI and the R/3 Receiver system before you get to the configuration of the Config Directory.
    1.     In XI you must configure the RFC destination which enables XI to communicate with the Target System (SM59)
    2.     In XI you must then create the port which allows you to establish an RFC Connection. In this port you define the RFC destination you previously defined. (IDX1)
    3.     You then must also ensure that a Partner Profile has been established in the Target system which allows XI to send IDOC’s to the Target system. (WE20)
Once the above is completed you can then continue to configure your IDOC scenario in the Config directory. In your Receiver Adapter you reference both the Port and RFC destination that you just established along with the Release which is to be the Target systems release. You must also specify an Interface version which again is the Target systems version.
Apart from the above the rest of the steps in the Config Directory are as normal.<b></b><u></u>

    Hi,
As per my knowledge you need to configure port in IDXI in XI to pull the metadata.
Its a mandatory step to pull the metadata whatever be scenario like whether you  are sending an IDoc or receiving an IDoc.
So please configure RFC destination, IDX1 and IDX2 in XI side.
Only after pulling the IDoc metadata you can proceed with any of the IDoc scenario.
Whenever there a IDoc is changed you need to delete the previous metadata and pull it again. In such situations you can use the already existing port in IDX1.
    Hope this helps you out.
    Thanks and Regards,

  • How can i send and receive a 2us digital pulse from Labview

i want to communicate with a system using 2us pulse
like if i want to send 11010100 then i will send
    |----2US----|----2US----|.............
    I      I___I       I_____________I         I______________I         I_______________________
    |----1-----|-------1-------|------0-------|--------1--------|------0-------|---------1---------|------0-------|------0-------|
when i will send 11010100 to system the system will repond me by sending 10111001 usinf same 2us pulse as i have shown above.
I have pci-6025E+CB 50LP connector block+Cable and LABVIEW 10 installed in my PC.
Can this be done using NI's labview and PCI card ?
    if yes then how ?
i m new to NI and this is my first Project using NI's hardware.

The fastest I would trust software timing is in the tens of milliseconds.  And even then, don't count on exactness.  The software timed DIO are best used for static applications (only change every once in awhile, usually controlling a relay or the like).  From my quick search, you will want something like the PCI-6220.

When I click the blackberry button and got to attach, the only options I get are Picture and Contact. How do I attach doc or xls files that are saved on my media card? I have checked the file sizes and it's less that 10 k so file size is definitely not an issue.

Before you do that, try doing a factory reset.
This will remove any IT Policy and resturn the BlackBerry to original settings.

  • Problems sending and receiving emails using exchange when on wifi - OK when using Sim Card

I've an iphone 4S using Exchange to link up with company server, this works fine when using 3G - phone's Sim Card. But when I join a wifi network I can no longer send and receive emails until I disconnect from the wifi network.
    Has anybody any ideas?

    Hi Derick,
you need to make sure the following is met:
1- router is correclt setup and antennas are plugged
2- users are withint good range from the router
3- use a good channel for the router, one of either 1, 6 or 11. try to figure out which is the best channel to choose using a freeware site survey tool.
4- ssid configuration doesn´t involve eap and session timeouts.
if you have doubts, let me know
    cheers

  • I need to receive IDoc to XI as from Party, I still have as sender only BS

    Hi Guys!
I'm sending IDoc from my R/3 system to XI and want to forward it further. I want to use parties to cimmunicate, however, receiver IDoc is always received only from business system w/o party, so no receiver is found (because of my receiver determination). How to achieve it, that sending system (my internal R/3) would have Sender Party?
    Thanxx!
    Olian

    Hi Olian !
    Check what SAP doc says:
    <i>Header mapping
In the header mapping you can map the values of the following key fields of the receiver agreement to other values: sender and receiver party, sender and receiver service. The address fields (sender, receiver) in the message header are then transformed correspondingly during outbound processing.
<b>The header mapping is important when configuring cross-company processes in which the business partners want to replace the names of their internal business systems with neutral representatives (<u>party</u>, business service)</b>.</i>
Please specify your scenario in more detail...who is the receiver? is it another R/3? why does this solution won't work?
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Matias.

Not sure about yahoo, but for gmail, I done the following:
Set up using Exchange on iPhone, it'll keep prompting for password.  On PC use captcha option, log in to gmail account from PC after completingg captcha option, enter password on iPhone.
See how that goes for gmail, let us know.
Hopefully someone will have fix for yahoo.

  • Not receiving texts from iPhone contacts when I'm not connected to wifi or cell data. I can't send and receive regular SMS texts with non iMessage users but iMessage users message are not being converted to text when I don't have internet connect

I can send and receive to any non iPhone user. I can send a message as a text to an iPhone user but if I'm not connected to cellular data or wifi I do not receive messages from iPhone contacts. From what I understand these message should automatically send to me as texts instead of iMessages but since the update it's not functioning properly. Please help. I've tried turning iMessage off and I still don't receive the messages until after I reconnect to wifi.

I have the same problem! Before the upgrade, if I wasn't connected to the internet, any messages sent to me from an iphone would convert automatically to a text message. I have payg tarriff, so I turn cell data off, as it costs too much to use it. I have wifi at home and work, but if I'm out and about, I don't receive texts from iphone users until I'm on wifi. I get them ok from non iphone users. There was never any problem until ios7

  • TS2755 I have 3 phones on one Icloud account. It has been this way for over a year with no issues. After and update on of the lines started getting text messages from all 3 phones. We fixed the send and receive and it was fixed. It is doing it again.

I have 3 phones on one Icloud account. They have been this way for over a year. After an update last week one of the phones started getting messages for all of the other lines. We fixed this under the send and receive under settings. It was fine for a few days. Suddenly it started happening again. Yesterday after two hours on the phone I changed my apple id and it is still happening. Before that Verizon had told me to turn off my imessage when that happened I could not get any texts at all from other Iphone users.

Make 3 different iCloud accounts and use ONLY for iMessage.   That will permanently fix your issue.

  • Can 2 people in different locations at the same time import, access, send, and receive the same messages from the same email account

I import messages into Thunderbird. I send and receive emails. One of the things I like about Thunderbird is that I can insert (image, link, etc) right where I want to, and I can Attach. But not just a simple attach file. No, I can also click Attach and choose Webpage. A lot of web-based emails are plain, simple, no frills - Attach file and that's it.
So I need to have my client be able to do the same thing I do when sending out emails, Namely sending out emails with an Electronic Press Kit (EPK) attached - which is to say, a webpage (not a pdf in our case). So, I need her to download, install, and use Thunderbird.
Here's the problem and my question. She needs to access, send, and receive from my email account. That would be easy if it was simple attach files - she could just login on the web, go to squirrel mail and bang it out.. Here it is: She needs to be able to import the messages to be able to reply to some messages - she needs access to what I have access to. She needs to use Thunderbird so she can take advantage of the features like insert image with link or attaching a webpage. My question is how will this affect my use? Can 2 people simultaneously and from different locations access and use the same email account or is it a case where her importing the emails would cut me off..Is it an either or thing? Basically, can her and I both import the emails or can they only be imported to one location at a time. Because every time someone sends me an email i get it right there on my Thunderbird application..it's imported to my Thunderbird..I want her and I to be able to do that without affecting each other. I don't want her to start importing to her desktop and then I can no longer import. If she says "point those messages to my computer what will happen to my ability to access them on my computer in the same manner I am currently?

I think there is a contradiction in your requirements. You want two people to share an account and you don't want either to interfere with the other.
The short and simple answer is to use IMAP to connect to the mail server. If your current email provider doesn't offer IMAP, find another that does. This is old technology already and it's disgraceful that some email providers haven't yet put it in place.
IMAP means that your messages are stored on the server and both of you will see exactly the same set of messages. And therein lies the contradiction; you will both see changes made by the other so you are inherently interfering with one another.
Caveats: some providers may not permit you both to access the account concurrently, and even if they do, things may become interesting if you both choose to work on the same message simultaneously.
Note that all of this is about email servers and protocols; your choice of Thunderbird as your email client has little bearing on the situation.

Ever since I updated my iPhone 4S and my iPad 2 to IOS 6 all my iMessages are coming to both my iPhone and my IPad. How do I stop the iMessages I send and receive on my phone from receiving on my iPad as well? I have tried going into my settings and making sure I'm only set up to receive iMessages to my cell number and not my email....but that didn't fix the problem.

Here the way to do it, for both, or for only one Go into your settings, Messages and turn on iMessage. It will then send messages that are iMessages to both your iPad and iPhone. You can also turn off this feature on the iPad if you do not want to receive messages on the iPad.

  • BizTalkServer 2010 SFTP Adapter from CodePlex - Configuring send and receive locations with SSH public and private keys

    Hi there,
I am looking for step by step instrcutions on how to configure SFTP Codeplex adapter for both receive and send ports.
Out business partner with whom we push/poll the files from wants us to use SSH encryption/decryption etc.
Just wondering if the following functionality is supported in Codeplex SFTP adatper without having to write any code.
Appreciate if there is manaul to do this for SFTP. BTW I do have all the our public and private keys and business partners Public key for configuring.
For Send port: 1. we would need to encrypt the file with our business partners public key
                          2. sign the file with our private key.
                          3. Send the file through to SSH client which eventually transfers to Remote server.
Receive port:   1. Connect to SSH Server with SSH-2 key and receive the file
                          2. Verify the file's digital signature agaisnt the Business partners PGP public key
                          3. Decrypt the file using our PGP Public key
    Thanks in advance

    Yes it is supported.
You can find its documentation in this link
You can find section X.509 Certificate Identity Keys
You can set public and private key in property SSH Identity thumbprint  of send and receive port
I prefer to test it using client tool like
FileZilla or WinSCP then test it using sftp adapter

  • I am getting a "not delivered" when I try to send a photo from my Ipad or iPhone via iMessage. I can receive photos in iMessage and I can send and receive photos other than with iMessage. I have tried restoring factory settings etc but no luck.

I am getting a "not delivered" when I try to send a photo from my Ipad or iPhone via iMessage. I can receive photos in iMessage and I can send and receive photos other than with iMessage. I have tried restoring factory settings etc but no luck. Is anyone else having this problem please?

I've been having this problem too, but here's the catch: originally it was only with my dad, and only sometimes.  Now it's dad and husband, every time!  Pix go through, via imessage, to everyone else, and they go through to dad/husband if I "send as text" after it fails.
And the other annoying thing- the blue bar will run all the way, and it will say "delivered".  So I close out of imessage. When I reopen it again, the "delivered" has changed to "not delivered" with the red exclamation point.  I just googled "imessage not sending photos" and founds TONS of people with the same problem, but no solutions.  (I have rebooted phone, reset network settings, with no luck.  I even had to backup/delete/restore my whole phone the other day for a different reason, and hoped that would fix it, but now it won't send to my dad OR my husband (who is on not just the same carrier, but the same family plan as me)
