Sending form details to a jdbc method
Hi, I'm a uni student struggling with JSP.
I'm trying to finish off the final bit of a development project. I've been trying to work through the 'jsptut' tutorial but it's confusing me!
I have a htm web page with 6 fields containing user details (firstname, lastname etc). The user fills in each field and presses submit.
I also have a class with a method that takes the input (in the form of 6 strings) and puts it into the database. I don't know how to get the values from the htm form into my method. I've been told to use jsp but the online tutorial is not clear on how I do this.
I'm pretty sure that I have to create a jsp file from which the form details are sent? Do I need to create a 'UserData' class as they do in the tutorial? Is there an easy way of passing the form details to my method?

suggest you look into using froms with jsp
but its pretty simple
first ur html page you would have your form including your text field.. e.g
<input name="input1" type="text" size="50">
in your jsp then u would have something like
String input1 = request.getParameter("input1");you would get all the data from the form like this... if ur using radio buttons then i suggest u search it
then the method using ur bean
myBean.addData(input1)
calls the method in ur java class....
but its pretty basic stuf try a google search

Pass the order number to VBPA table and take the ADRNR field based on the
PARVW field and check his address details by passing into ADRC table and other ADR* tables

Acrobat Pro 9 forms tracker not keeping distributed form details
Help needed with an issue we are experiencing with acrobat not retaining the distributed forms details (or review documents that have been distributed). We are not able to retain the details of the distributed forms once we exit the application and close off for the day we loss the details anyone experienced this?
Can you distribute a form and check if the file "AdhocWorkflow" is present at C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Acrobat\9.0\Forms (if on Vista/Win 7) or C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\Adobe\Acrobat\9.0\Forms (if on win XP)? Render html form & send forms's input values as params via HTTP POST
Hello,
I'm using appache commons http client to send HTTP post queries to a given url and receive HTTP response then process it.
one of the requirements of my Application is the following: one of these HTTP Post requests is supposed to return an HTML form with different html types (text filed, text area etc..) that i will need to display in my swing application. one important requirement is that i can't know in advance what the html form field types will be.. it depends on a given parameters that my application send as part of HTTP Post method (using apache http client).
I Longly searched for a simple solution to this problem . There are many solutions but each one has it's limitations :
1-i can render the html form inside a JEditorPane .but how can I collect the user entered data inside JEditorPane ? i'm not sure this swing component offers the capability to detect its html contents and more it will be difficult to know what are the values entered by user inside html form rendered by JEditorPane.
2-are there any Java Embedded browsers that offer some API to enable me detect the html form fields ,capture the data entered by user inside the html form ?
3-the solution i currently opted for is : parse html & convert html form to swing dialog. currently this solution i use works well but the cost of implementing it is high : it involves difficult parsing logic. this makes me worried .I'm not sure if i'm now using the right & easiest solution.

We have to create our data structure based on the existing database table structure. While reading or writing , JDBC adapter convert our data type structure in to SQL Query Statements that matches Table structure. -
Problem sending form with fmt:message key=" " / tag system and jsp code
I have developt my new web page using jsp. I have done a booking form, please se below here. There are two pages, bookings.jsp and booking_sent.jsp. The page has 6 different languages so i have also used the <fmt:message key=" " /> tag system for each language.
The problem i have is when i send the form it opens a page where you only see all the tags, no text at all. For more information follow this link and try out the form;

When you fill out the form and click send you should come to booking_sent and you do but the page is only full of tags, no text. Booking_sent looks exactly the same as bookings, except the header so why should not this work. I have tried everything but i cannot solve this problem. So i wonder if there is anybody out there who can help me with this?

Nope, can't delete posts on this forum,
I have developed my new web page using jsp. I have done a booking form,
There are two pages, bookings.jsp and booking_sent.jsp.
The page has 6 different languages so i have also used the <fmt:message key=" " /> tag system for each language.
The problem i have is when i send the form it opens a page where you only see all the tags, no text at all.

When you fill out the form and click send you should come to booking_sent and you do but the page is only full of tags, no text. Booking_sent looks exactly the same as bookings, except the header so why should not this work. I have tried everything but i cannot solve this problem. So i wonder if there is anybody out there who can help me with this?
Tried going to that URL and got an error page served by Apache Webserver
Maybe you haven't got the correct connector going between the webserver and the application server? -
Accessing Sender Agreement details in Module
Hi,
How can we access(read and then modify) the sender agreement details from SOAP header in from ModuleData in the Module interface?
One way I can think of is to read the SOAP message and parse it. The problem lies with accessing the SOAP message in the process method.

I have developt my new web page using jsp. I have done a booking form, please se below here. There are two pages, bookings.jsp and booking_sent.jsp. The page has 6 different languages so i have also used the <fmt:message key=" " /> tag system for each language.
The problem i have is when i send the form it opens a page where you only see all the tags, no text at all. So i wonder if there is anybody out there who can help me with this?

Send form is different email to address than specified in submit button
I'm using Adobe Acrobat 9 PRO (CS5) and have a problem where the "wrong" mailto: address is displayed to the responder after a PDF form has been completed by the responder... it appears in the final "Send Form" pop up which details the email address the PDF is being submitted to (as well as 2 x fields for the responder to add their "From" info into: 1."email address" and 2."Full Name")
THE PROBLEM IS THIS: The "Send Form"email address shown at the top is not the same as the email address specified in the PDF Forms submit button (I've used "[email protected]" option) and though the submit button DOES send it to the correct specified email address it is showing my standard email address in the "Send Form" pop up box, which I don't want as I am sending a survey form so I would like my "[email protected]" email address to appear here and not my usual/main email address (I need it to display the same info as I've set my submit button to).
What can I do to change the info that seems to automatically appear here...? (Also to change the reply "Subject Header" while I'm at it?)

Many thanks for your reply; it was really helpful - now my "Send Form" reply pop-up window shows the same email address as the email address I specified in my forms submit button: excellent! (it has caused a new problem now though, with my email server now barring the replies from reaching me for some reason, but I'll have to sort that out with our IP!)

I am manually distributing a "saved" form and will collate the data from my email inbox at a later date; did you have a solution to change the "Subject Header" in the reply email if use this manual send process? -

You want to copy a single BW System of a system group using a database copy. After the copy, you want to have a functional BW source system connection.
Refer to Note 325525. This helps you to select the correct procedure for your scenario. Also note that there are several ways to carry out the actual copy procedure. This is not covered in this note. Refer instead to the URL http://service.sap.com/solutionmanagerbp.

Reason and Prerequisites
There are three scenarios:
1. You want to install a new BW (referred to below as "target BW") by copying an existing BW (referred to below as "original BW"). That is, you import the copy onto an empty computer.
2. You want to replace an existing BW (henceforth "old BW"), by copying a different BW (henceforth "original BW"). That is, a BW was already installed on the target host (the old BW). We will call the copy of the original BW "target BW". There are two different scenarios here:
a) You are still in the planning phase of this step, that is, you have not yet made the copy.
b) You have already overwritten the old BW with the copy of the other BW.
Solution
You must perform ONLY THE STEPS required for YOUR SCENARIO.
Scenario 1): In 1.2B, create a transport request in the original BW that contains all source system-dependent objects for all R/3 and DataMart source systems. The object types are ISMT, ISTT and ISTS. Note that the ISTS object (the transfer structure) may contain routines that must be transported as separate objects (Object Type ROUT).
As of BW 2. 0A, you are supported by the BW transport link, grouping "Backup for system copy". Select the R/3 and DataMart source systems in the source system filter and collect the source systems using the Drag and Drop function.
If you use type PSADELETE processes, also add these to the transport request.
Scenario 2)a): Create the described transport request in the old BW.
Scenario 2)a): In the old BW, delete all R/3 and DataMart source systems in the Administrator Workbench source system tree.
Scenario 1), 2)a) and 2)b): Import the copy.
Scenario 1), 2)a) and 2)b): In the target BW, change the contents of the "target host" field in all RFC connections (destinations) for R/3 and DataMart source systems (Transaction SM59) to a nonsensical, nonexistent address (such as 'nowhere'). Then, delete ALL R/3 and DataMart source systems in the Administrator Workbench source system tree. Caution: This step deletes all PSA tables of these source systems - the data is lost. A message is generated stating that the source system cannot be accessed (since you deleted the host of the RFC connection). Select "Ignore".
Scenario 2)b): Change to the source systems connected to the old BW and THERE delete the connection (in the source system) to BW. To do this, change to Transaction SE37 - RSAP_BIW_DISCONNECT function module Sngl. test. Parameter I_BIW_LOGSYS = <name of BW>, I_OLTP_LOGSYS = <name of the source system>, I_FORCE_DELETE = 'X'.
Scenario 1): If you want to connect the target BW to one or more source systems that are also connected to the original BW, assign a new logical system name (Table T000) to the target BW. However, we recommend that you follow Note 184447 when designing the system environment.
Scenario 2)a) and 2)b): Assign the same name to the target BW system that was assigned to the old BW system (logical system name, Table T000).
Scenario 1), 2)a) and 2)b): If you have just renamed the BW, execute Transaction BDLS to convert all relevant tables to the new logical system name. To do this, refer to Notes 121163 and 369758.
Scenario 1): Connect the required source systems. (Administrator Workbench - Source systems)
Scenario 2)a) and 2)b): Connect the source systems, that were connected to the old BW. (Administrator Workbench - Source systems)
Scenario 1) and 2)a): Import the request created above. Bear in mind the special CTS features for the source system-dependent objects (system changeability in connected systems; View V_RSLOGSYSMAP).
Scenario 2)b): Recreate the transfer structures/transfer rules and activate them.

Summary
Symptom
You are transporting BW objects that are heavily linked with each other so that several requests are necessary.Objects of a request are using objects which are locked on other requests.
In the target system, errors arise during the method execution of requests with BW objects (return code 8).The messages indicate that objects are required which do not exist in the target system and are also not contained on the request.
For example, you transport an object with attributes, but the attributes are not transported nor are they available in the system.In the log, message R7322 appears: 'Attribute &1 from characteristic &2 not (actively) available'. As a result, an InfoCube cannot be activated if InfoObjects are missing and so forth.

Cause and prerequisites
You collect objects with the transport link of the Administrator Workbench and then write these to a transport request.In the process, all objects which have not yet been transported are marked (development class $TMP). Or you install Business Content and write the installed objects directly to a request.
Objects with a different development class (not $TMP) are also gathered but they are not marked because the system assumes that these have already been transported and are then subject to automatic recording.If you are not sure whether these objects already exist in the target system, you can mark the objects.The system then writes them to the request and transports them (once again).
It could happen that objects that are locked on another request have been collected.You can recognize this by the column "Transport request" in the window with the collected objects (you may have to expand the tree with the collected objects completely). You should always release the requests beforehand, that means prior to the request that is being compiled.
This is because these objects are needed by objects that the system is now collecting, but do not yet reside in the target system or do not yet reside there in their most current version. If you import the request which the system is collecting prior to the other request, then the errors described in the symptom section of this note.
Solution
Proceed as follows if you are using the object collector:
Collect the objects
expand the tree with the collected objects completely
Release all requests that are displayed in the 'transport request' column.
Only then release the request with the objects that are being currently collected.
As of Support Package 16 this approach is simplified even further.In this case, a log with the following messages is displayed after writing the collected objects:
'Objects which are locked on a different transport request' (Message RS0305).If you expand this message, you receive a list of all objects which are locked on other requests.
'Transport requests which must be released first' (Message RS0306).If you expand this message, you receive a clear summary of the requests which must be released before the request currently being compiled.Here the system simply summarizes the requests from the previous list that still contain dependent objects.
Thus, as of Support Package 16 you no longer have to expand the tree completely and search for linked requests.

How can I view form details in a popup window?
Recently, something called Babylon assist took control of Firefox and I was forced to reset Firefox to get rid of this. As a consequence, I lost the ability to right click on a page and select from a list that allowed me to view form details in a pop-up window. I used this feature frequently in developing database driven applications that have lots of forms. Can anyone please tell me how to restore this lovely feature? I found something that opens a new tab with the form information in a large format that is rather ugly - I really want to get back to the nice little pop-up that displayed the basic form information.
THANK YOU - your clues led me to the correct add-on. It's called 'Links and Forms' and says that it adds back the links and forms tabs that were in the Page Info window of Firefox 2. I have found it to be very handy in debugging forms that I've created.
