Sending IPM attachments to BPM when the instance is being Invoked

Is it possible to send attched documents in IPM to Oracle business process workspace when the instance is being invoked ? (In 11.1.1.3.0 - PS2). Thanks.

I don't see any error handing in the Main.VI. Are you performing any error handling that might be able to provide information about communications or update failures?

  • [Forum FAQ] How do I send an email to users when the data in the report have been changed in Reporting Services?

    Introduction
There is a scenario that the data in the report changes infrequently, so the users want to be informed and get the most updated data once the data changes. By default, report server always run the report with the most recent data. Is there a way that we
can subscribe the report, so that we can send an email to users when the data in the report has been changed?
    Solution
To achieve this requirement, we can create a subscription for the report, then create a trigger in the table which including the report data. When this table has data insert, update or delete, it will be triggered and execute the subscription to send email
    to users.
In the Report Manager, create a subscription for the report and make it only execute one time.
When we create a subscription, a corresponding SQL Agent job will be created. Then we can use the query below to find out the job based on ScheduleId:
    -- List all SSRS subscriptions
USE [ReportServer];  -- You may change the database name.
    GO
    SELECT USR.UserName AS SubscriptionOwner
          ,SUB.ModifiedDate
          ,SUB.[Description]
          ,SUB.EventType
          ,SUB.DeliveryExtension
          ,SUB.LastStatus
          ,SUB.LastRunTime
          ,SCH.NextRunTime
          ,SCH.Name AS ScheduleName
              ,RS.ScheduleId
          ,CAT.[Path] AS ReportPath
          ,CAT.[Description] AS ReportDescription
    FROM dbo.Subscriptions AS SUB
         INNER JOIN dbo.Users AS USR
             ON SUB.OwnerID = USR.UserID
         INNER JOIN dbo.[Catalog] AS CAT
             ON SUB.Report_OID = CAT.ItemID
         INNER JOIN dbo.ReportSchedule AS RS
             ON SUB.Report_OID = RS.ReportID
                AND SUB.SubscriptionID = RS.SubscriptionID
         INNER JOIN dbo.Schedule AS SCH
             ON RS.ScheduleID = SCH.ScheduleID
    ORDER BY USR.UserName
             ,SUB.ModifiedDate ;
Create a trigger in the table which including the report data.
    CREATE TRIGGER reminder
    ON test.dbo.users
    AFTER INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE
    AS
    exec [ReportServer].dbo.AddEvent @EventType='TimedSubscription', @EventData='b64ce7ec-d598-45cd-bbc2-ea202e0c129d'
Please note that the command ‘exec [ReportServer].dbo.AddEvent @EventType='TimedSubscription', @EventData='b64ce7ec-d598-45cd-bbc2-ea202e0c129d'’ is coming from the job properties. We can go to SQL Server Agent Jobs, right-click the corresponding job to open
the Steps, copy the step command, and then paste it to the query.
Then when the user table has data insert, update or delete, the trigger will be triggered and execute the subscription to send email to users.

    Thanks,
Is this a supported scenario, or does it use unsupported features?
For example, can we call exec [ReportServer].dbo.AddEvent @EventType='TimedSubscription', @EventData='b64ce7ec-d598-45cd-bbc2-ea202e0c129d'
    in a supported way?
    Thanks! Josh

  • When the app is being downloaded it doesnt show the icon its like gray icon

When the app is being downloaded it doesnt show the icon, its like a gray icon that appears... does that happen to anyone?

Yes - did not used to happen this way, but started after one of the updates. Once the download completes, the 'regular' app icon should show up. Nothing to worry about.

  • How to find the Name of the BSP Application Being Invoked?

    Hi ,
Is there any FM or method that would return the name of the BSP Application being invoked?
Say i have a method A which is being invoked by 2 BSP Application B and C. How do we determine which BSP is invoking the method A?
Any input on this regard will be of great help.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Pavithra

    Hi,
this methods are not 100% efective but you may try it:
    On runtime:
set an external breakpoint in your method A and run your application. When it stops, the debugger has many folders, so press the one marked with "Standard" and in section ABAP stack you see the different call steps that have been executed, including the application that is calling the method.
For this you must activate the new debugger (Utilities --> settings --> ABAP editor --> Debugging)
    On development time:
Click on method A and press button Where-used list. In the incomming window press BSP applications.
    Hope it helps.

  • How to keep track of the sequence of the BSP Pages being invoked.

    Hi,
How to keep track of the sequence of the BSP Pages being invoked.
I have a BSP Page A.htm. There are two other pages B.HTM and C.HTM in the same BSP Application.
The page B.HTM has a link A.HTM. The page C.HTM also has a link A.HTM. On clicking  these links the Page A.HTM would be invoked. Is there any way to keep track which BSP Page  (i.e B.HTM or C.HTM) invoked the page A.HTM.
Any input on this Regard would be of great help.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Pavithra

    Hi Pavithra,
    Declare in page attributes:
    appl_url type string
In the onClick event of the link that calls the A.htm page , use:
    call method runtime->get_url
    receiving
    URL = appl_url.
Now appl_url contains the url (also name) of the page that invoked A.htm .
    Hope it helps.
    Anubhav.

  • Sending an email when the report is being refreshed

    Hi All,
Is it possible, in Answers, to send an email automatically when a report is being refreshed ?
    Thanks in advance,
    Lau

You can do this multiple ways, As you mentioned using conditional ibot also. You should have flag or indicator in your database saying that ETL load was done. Then based on conditional request run a ibot. But the trick is after completing this ibot you need to turn of the flag.
Other easiest way is Create a report which runs ibot, Make sure you checked Oracle BI Server Cache feed check box, save the ibot. At the end of ETL execute a command which runs the ibot job for you. There is a command mode application available in Oracle BI called SASchInvoke.exe. This application will run the ibot for you.
here is the blog which explains more about it.

  • Why would SMO WMI not return SQL 2012 Services in the ManagedComputer.Services collection when the instances are in ServerInstances

    The following code
    var comp = new Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.Smo.Wmi.ManagedComputer();
    var bob = comp.Services;
Only returns the 2008R2 instances on my machine not the sql 2012 instances.
Oddly the ServerInstances includes all the instances.
This means I can't get the StartupParameters for the instance.
I've checked and its definitely using the sql 2012 version of SMO. All services are using the same user account (Network Service)
Can anyone think why this would be.

    Hello Simon ,
For SMO assemblies : the version is 11 for SQL Server 2012 , and 10 for SQL Server 2008 R2 ( and not 10.5 , so when you have SQL Server 2008 and 2008 R2 , the SMO assemblies for 2008 are replaced by the SMO assemblies for 2008 R2 ). I faced this
problem when I installed SQL Server 2008 R2 aside a left 2008 install.
On my current computer , I have only 2012 and 2014 instances and I have no problem.
To check the version of the assemblies ( Microsoft.Smo.SqlWmiManagement mainly ) in your Visual Studio , click on the name of this assembly and look at the Version : it should be 11.0.0 ( for SQL Server 2012 ).
Yesterday , I have written a little application to view the instances and services on my computer.

CommonCls.AppWriteLog is only a method which has 2 parameters , the 2nd one is the string to write in a application log , the 1st if true , the current datetime is written before the content of the 1st parameter. It is useful to simulate a hardcopy of the screen
, especially when the application is a console one.
I have not tested to write the startup parameters but it was working in a previous application
As you can see , I have 3 instances , 1 SQL Server 2012 and 2 SQL Server 2014 ( but one is "ill" it's why the startup of the SQL Server service is disabled , it will be repaired when I will reinstall W7 or install W8 )
I don't see any reason why you are not seen the 2012 instances except if the version of your assembly is 10 instead 11 ( a little tip :when you are adding a reference , in the box after a browse , you are sorting the names of the
assemblies in the selection box , as the assemblies 2008/2008 R2 are appearing before the assemblies 2012 , it' minimizing the risk of confusion of assemblies and try to increase the visibility of the full path by double-clicking the title of the Path
column , if you don't do that , you should not see the version number included in the path name ).
Don't hesitate to post again for more help or explanations.
    Have a nice day

  • Will iMessage say delivered when the message is being sent to a dead device

My iPad was dead and someone messaged me and it said delivered, is it normal to say delivered even when the device it's sent to is dead?

This exact thing also happened to me.  Additionally when other iMessage users responded to me, they also got a Not Delivered message even though I did receive it.
I tried resetting Network settings, turning iMessage on and off, restarting, etc.
Finally this morning I went all out.  I made sure I was backed up to iCloud and then did a full reset and erased all data.  I restored from an iCloud backup and now things are working.
There was a little glitch at first, although it may have been user error.  I have two iPhones - personal and corporate and I sync my iMessages between them.  (Personal is the one with the problems that I reset.)   I found that in my iMessage settings (under Send & Receive Addresses), my personal phone wasn't selected after the restore, and it wasn't using it as the source for sending a new message.  I had to put a checkmark back in front of the personal phone number and select it as the new message number.  It's possible I messed up when setting up the phone, but I didn't think so.
Anyway, I have done multiple tests and my iMessages are now all sending correctly and seem to be working.
Hope that helps someone.  I've found a few reports of this since the 7.0.3 upgrade rolled out, but nothing with a fix.  May not work for everyone, but it may be worth a shot.

  • What happens when the Powerbook is being used as a laptop?

Sorry if you read this twice - I mistakenly posted it as a reply rather than a question. I am waiting for my new Powerbook along with an Airport Extreme Base Station. I plan to network the Powerbook with 2 PC desktops and a PC laptop.I know I will have to use the Powerbook to configure the network, but I want to know whether it will have to be present and connected whenever the network is in use - it is, after all, a laptop and therefore sometimes not in the house. There are only two of us living here, each of whom will own a desktop and laptop when the Powerbook gets here. Would it make a difference to accessibility when the Powerbook is travelling if we connect one of the desktops to the lan port on the Base Station instead of running everything wirelessly?

  • On my iPad2 the swoosh sound is checked in Settings but neither it nor the jingle when the battery is being recharged now work

On my iPad2 the swoosh sound is checked in Settings but neither it nor the jingle when the iPad is connected for recharging are working. Any ideas ?

Ensure that the mute switch is not activated. If it is not be sure the volume is at a level in which you can hear it. If your still having issues, test the sounds in other applications. If it is affecting multiple things, you may want to attempt a reset by holding the lock/power button and the home button until you see an Apple logo.

  • Can I stop SMS notification when the iPhone is being used as a phone?

I love my iPhone, but the one thing that is driving me mad is SMS notifications coming through when I'm talking on the phone - a startling loud alert when the phone is pressed hard against my ear makes me jump every time, and actually hurts a bit too! I don't want to have my SMS alerts as silent, I'd just like the phone to realise that shouting 'PING!' in my ear when I'm on the phone is not good for my hearing or nerves!

  • Hi, We have a problem opening email attachments, specifically word, when the mail is sent from an Entourage client.

It seems the mail is sent in plain text and when I try to open the attachment on my phone i just get a screen with the document name and type. If I send a plain text mail from my outlook client with the same attachment then this works fine.
Is there anything I can do to make these attachments open on my iPhone?
    Thanks in advance
    Phil

  • Role in bpm when the role is dynamic (manager of the user)

    Hi,
Regarding the bpm I face a case as below:
I have a bpm which in one of its step a human task would be generated for the Manager of the user that initiate this process.
Assume that I kept the username of the initiator on one of my variable how can I set the user's manager role?
as in the bpm I just can set the role and in the mapping of bpm role to LDAP role I can not use the xpath or dynamic thin I can just can select the LDAP user or group.
    Thanks

    Try this:
Go to the "XXX.task" file of your user screen, you can find it in the structure tree on the left panel inside the "SOA Content" directory of your main project.
You will see a serie of tabs in the left side of the new window. Go to "Assignment".
There you will see a default.DefaultPerformer inside a box. Click on it and the on the pencil icon to edit it.
In the new window you can add the participants using the "by name" or the "by expression" option. If you have the username stored in a variable, you can use it here to dynamically assign the task.
    Hope this helps.
Let me know if this doesnt work.

  • How do i prevent my open web pages from being deleted when the system is being restarted

    windows 7
    how

Do you mean pages that are reopened in tabs via session restore?
    * http://kb.mozillazine.org/Session_Restore
Make sure that you do not use [[Clear Recent History]] to clear the 'Browsing History' when you close Firefox.<br />
If you use [[Clear Recent History]] to clear the 'Browsing History' when you close Firefox then restoring tabs from the last session ("Save & Quit" or "Show my windows and tabs from last time") doesn't work.
