Sending Large size files through JMS adapter.

We want to receive files larger than 5MB via the JMS receiver adapter. The receiver side has WebSphere MQSeries version 5.3.12.
The channel we are using is SYSTEM.AUTO.SVRCONN.
I can see a MQJMS2007 error in RWB for the JMS adapter.
Does the XI JMS adapter have features to handle large files > 5MB?

Neogy
As far as my knowledge goes it supports MQSERVER. But I am not sure of AMQCLCHL.TAB. Also AMQCLCHL.TAB have some disadvantages when compared with MQSERVER.
http://www3.sympatico.ca/n.rieck/docs/mqseries_client_on_openvms.html
Also the primary inefficiency of this AMQCLCHL.TAB format is its size. When this file is managed by the queue manager (which is your only choice without using this perl module), it grows and never shrinks. When channels are deleted, the linked list pointers are modified so that the deleted entry is merely skipped, but it is not removed from the file.
http://aspn.activestate.com/ASPN/CodeDoc/MQSeries/MQSeries/Config/ChannelTable.html#Secrets%20of%20AMQCLCHL.TAB
When new entries are added, a deleted entry will be searched for and reused if found. If not, a new entry will be added to the end of the file. The size problem occurs if you ever create a very large channel table file, since that will effectively extend the file size permanently.
use of MQSERVER differs from AMQCLCHL.TAB only with respect to the exits. To learn more on this:

  • Is there a way to send a large video file through email, not using websites?

    Hey guys,
    Just wondering if there is an easy way to send a large video file through email, not using websites such as yousendit.com.
    If anyone knows please respond, would be greatly appreciated! Thank you

    No there isn't. Most all Email providers, whether your ISP or some other provider like Google, Yahoo, Microsoft with their Outlook.com or Office365 and Apple's own iCloud system, have a linit on the max size a email can be. Most are around 10MBs some slightly larger but if the vieo you want to send to someone it larger than that you will have to upload it to a website and then have the people you want to view it download it from that website.

  • Large XML File in JMS Message

    Hi Experts,
    I got to send larg XML files (+20MB) to the Message listener for processing. Would you please comment if it would be a good approach or suggest some tested and authentic solution for this purpose. Prompt response will be highly appreciated.
    Regards
    Shahzad mahmood

    You can use the following algo to send large messages
    - use BytesMessage to send the large message
    - break the message into chunks (chunk size can be configurable)
    - in the header of the first message add a header prioperty to notify that this is the first message
    - in the header add a property for the size of the each message
    - in the header of the last message add a property to notify that its the last message
    on the receiver side
    - see the header property of the message
    - if its first message, open a stream (may be file stream)
    - keep writing messages to this stream till you receive the last message (identified by the header property)
    - close the stream after processing the last message.
    BTW some JMS products like FioranoMQ (www.fiorano.com) provide built-in support for large messages.
    You might want to look into such products.

  • Sending Msg From HTTP client to XI through JMS Adapter using WebSphereMQ

    Hello
    I am trying to send some msg from Http client
    I configured JMS adapter as receiver
    Transport Protocol :WEBsphereMQ JMS provider
    Message  protocol :JMS1.x
    I have given the Ip  address  of my machine where I installed WEB Sphere MQ
    Server Port :1416
    Transport Protocol :WebSphere MQ
    JMS compliant: JMS-compliant
    In SXMB_MONI
    Http client sends message without any error.
    But while tracing I got message
    <Trace level="1" type="T">Async barrier reached. Bye-bye !</Trace>
    Can anybody tell me the solution..
    Thnaks

    Hi,
      I have not directly faced this but i may suggest ,
    1. What do you see in sxmb_moni, do you have a queue problem?
    2. see this File-to-File Scenario Stopped Working  the reply from Shravan and the last message.
    <i>The XBTO que was the problem. I deleted all LUWs in it and now new transactions are working again</i>

  • Restrict message volume through JMS adapter (not individual message size)

    Hi, does anyone know of a way to restrict the flow of messages through a JMS adapter? For example, If I wanted to only allow up to 1000 messages to be sent in an hour to a particular system. The rest should just be queued in the Adapter Engine until the next hour begins in order to smooth out the load on the recieving system.
    I know this is poor design but there is a system that is getting overwhelmed and cannot be easily changed right away. I'd like a way to control this from the middleware using standard PI (no ccBPM).
    Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance,
    Aaron

    Stefan, thank you for the idea, that is a good one.
    I'm going to assume there is nothing specific we can do in the SAP JMS adapter to control the flow, and look to a solution in the queueing software like you suggested or the 3rd party application.

  • Error publishing large payload in AQ JMS Adapter

    Hi,
    We are usign AQ JMS Adapter and we are publishing payload in AQ JMS Topic thorugh BPEL process.
    Issue is, i'm not able to publish large payload ( xml file of size 4KB) to AQ JMS Topic through asynchronous BPEL process.
    When i post the xml in the BPEL Control, i'm getting the follwoing message:
    "Cannot find the specified instance". I have tried 3-4 times but getting same message all the time
    However, i'm able to publish xml to JMS Topic with synchronous BPEL process.
    Please let me know if there is a way to overcome this issue.
    Thanks in advance

    If the StreamPayload property does not exist, then the default value false is assumed.
    <activation-spec className="oracle.tip.adapter.aq.inbound.AQDequeueActivationSpec">
    <property name="QueueName" value="RAW_IN_QUEUE"/>
    <property name="DatabaseSchema" value="SCOTT"/>
    <property name="StreamPayload" value="true"/>
    </activation-spec>
    you can add <property name="StreamPayload" value="true"/>
    to the .jca file but rememeber This property is applicable when processing Raw messages, XMLType messages, and ADT type messages for which a payload is specified though an ADT attribute.

  • Reading huge flat file through SOAP adapter

    Hi Everybody,
        In one of our interface we need to read big flat file using soap adapter at sender side into xi and we are using java map to convert into xml. but before that i need to split this flat file into multiple files  in the first message mapping. and in the second map we have to write a java map to do the flat file conversion to XMLBut i got struck up in reading this big flat file into XI as i need to declare some datatype to read this entire file. Can anybody tell me how i can do this. is it a possible to do first of all with SOAP adapter .
    Thanks
    raj

    hi vijay,
      Thanks for your prompt reply. Due to some reasons i am not allowed to use file adapter . i can use only JMS adapter or SOAP adapter. we tried few scenarios with JMS content conversion but what ever scenario i am asking here is complex at multilevel i can't even use JMS in this case. so we are thinking to read whole file using SOAP adapter and then we are planning to split the file into multiple files, as file can be huge size ,using java mapping and in next level we want to use another mapping to do content conversion. SO I have to do experiements whether this is a feasible solution or not. because when u declare at sender side
    <ffdata_MT>
    <Recordset>
        <ROW>    String type
    when u declare like this and when u sent the flat file using SOAP adapter at sender side we are getting whole file which we sent at part of "ROW" as string. but inside java mapping i need to see whenther i can split this in XI ,so that i can use these split files in next mapping for content conversion. Hope i am clear now. I want to know whether it is a feasible solution or not.
    I really appreciate if sombody give some idea on this
    Thanks

  • Trying to send large video file...

    I am trying to send a quicktime video file via my mac mail. When I try to send I get error that says my server only allows files 29.6mb and smaller. How do I send larger files (the one I want to send is 58.6mb)

    I did some digging, and if you aren't scared of Terminal.app, and the recipient on the other end is a Mac guy (or gal) and is not afraid of Terminal.app, there is a built-in unix utility that will do what you want.
    To learn all about it, type man split
    As an example of how to use it, suppose you have a big file called "Movie.mov" that is in your Movies folder. cd ~/Movies to change directories to your Movies folder. Then type split -b 4m Movie.mov movseg
    This will purportedly take the file "Movie.mov" that is in your home directory's Movies folder, and split it into multiple files movsegaa, movsegab, movsegac, ...., not one file segment exceeding 4 MB (the "-b" option is segment size in bytes and can be a plain number or append a k for kilobytes or m for megabytes, the latter as in this example).
    Now you can email each segment as an attachment in its own unique email message.
    The recipient should download all the attachments to the same place (to make it easy) and cd to that directory. Then type
    cat movsegaa movsegab movsegac {list of remaining movseg-- filenames separated by spaces} > Movie.mov and it rebuilds the original "Movie.mov" file.
    I didn't try this with a movie file, but I did try it with a 140MB ".tgz" file and with a small text file. The MD5 checksum of the original and the reconstructed files were identical and I was able to uncompress and unarchive the .tgz file with no problem, and could open and read the reconstructed text file with no problem. You'd probably want to "trial" the reassembly yourself before emailing all of the file segment attachments, though.
    The only problem -- if your recipient isn't a Mac user, I don't think Windoze command line supports these two commands.
    Also, if your file is really really big and the automatically generated file segment name suffixes aa-zz (26 x 26 possible files segments) isn't enough to handle the total number of file segments that you'll need to fit through the email servers, include a " -a 3 " option either just before or just after the "-b {segSize}" option to make filename suffixes aaa-zzz (26 x 26 x 26 possible file segments -- your recipient will love you!) One could put together a unix script pretty quickly to rebuild a gazillion file segments into a reconstructed copy of the original, though.
    PS - your .mac account may allow you to send a file attachment as large as 29.6MB, but many email providers only allow their customers to receive files up to 10MB in size, and some are even more draconian than that, imposing a 5MB limit (two local universities immediately come to mind). They will reject the attempted inbound delivery and you, the sender, may or may not get notification of that event from the recipient's server. So be sure to follow up with another email asking if the recipient received the "N" email attachments and did (s)he get the file reassembled okay.

  • Web Services Sending Large Size Attachments - INTEROPERABILITY

    Hi
    I am really interested with Streaming attachments in OC4J.
    But I assume it is not interoperable.
    When I try to use Streaming for my Web Service, i get an error message that my JAX-RPC handler cannot unmarhall the WS operation (I know weird error).
    So it seems that if I want to use Streaming - I have to forget about JAX-RPC handlers (for example logging handler)
    Additionally when you open WSDL (of WS + Streaming) file you will see that there is a xml part which is not a WS-I standard:
    <sa:stream-attachments xmlns:sa="http://oracle.com/schemas/webservices/streaming-attachments" name="attachments"/>
    - and using wsi-test-tools you will get a failure message that it is not
    a part of standard namespace: http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/soap/
    So i guess that client of a Web Service with Streaming must be a JAVA client - and additionally with a usage of oracle WS jar libraries.
    So there is a question now, how to enable in OC4J sending big attachments with Interoperability.
    I think using AXIS2 module is not an answer, as it also uses JAX-RPC approach based on DOM xml parsers, which means loading whole attachments into memory (no matter if its MTOM, SwA or Base64Encoding).
    My question is: IS THERE ANY WAY TO SEND LARGE ATTACHMENTS IN OC4J WITH FULL INTEROPERABILITY (maybe some chunk options)?
    Thanks a lot for any answer
    Jerzy

    I don't know of any way to do this from within Mail.app -- the Rules by default only are applied to incoming email & there is no way I know of to apply them to a new message you are composing.
    One (non-automatic) workaround you might find useful is to right or control click on any attachment not shown as an icon in your message & select "View as icon." This will at least show you the size of the attachment.

  • Nokia N8 - Sending large video files via email pro...

    Hello, When I try to send a pretty large video file via email on my N8 I get the following error "Memory low. Delete or move some data from C: Phone memory." However my videos are stored on my memory card which has plenty of space so I am confused and not sure what to do
    I hope someone can help me on this, any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thank You.

     My best guess would be that the N8 temporarily caches the video to C: memory when sending via Email and therefore the file size exceeds the available free memory on C:.
     I'm not sure the email server will allow the sending of files larger than a certain limit anyway, so you may be out of luck if you want to send any videos via email.

    Hi marmik,
    1. There is some trick involved
    in the binary files.
    2. I have made a program (and it works fantastic)
    ONLY 6 LINES FOR EMAILING
    BELIEVE ME
    ITS A FANTASTIC PROGRAM.
    IT WILL WORK LIKE OUTLOOK EXPRESS !
    3. The user is provided with
    a) file name
    b) email address to send mail
    and it sends ANY FILE (.xls,.pdf .xyz..)
    Instantaneously !
    4. Make two things first :
    1. Include with the name : ZAMI_INCLFOR_MAIL
    2. Report with the name : ZAM_TEMP147 (any name will do)
    3. Activate both and execute (2)
    4. After providing filename, email adress
