Sending mails based on hierarchy by using Oracle Alerts
Hi All,
From past five days i am facing problem in Oarcle Alerts that my requirement is i need to send mails based on hierarchy people by uisng oracle alert.
In this need to send the mail only the different Hierarchy head person only and i need to do this by using alert only
Can any one please suggest me for this.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

To send attachments using Oracle Alert, you can follow below mentioned steps:
1) While defining Oracle alert Action, Select 'Action Level' as 'Summary'
2) In Action Details, select 'Action Type' as 'Operating System Script'
3) Select 'Text' radio button
4) Write following code : uuencode <Name of the file along with the path> <Name of the attachment in the mail>|mailx -c &cc_mail_id,&to_mail_id -s "<Subject of the Mailer>" &to_mail_id.
5) You can use mail or sendmail command also instead of mailx command.
6) Save Alert details

I have IOS 7 5S and using mail. Receiving works great. Sending mail will not work. Using Centurylink. On my IOS 6 Iphone 4 it works great. Compared settings and they are identical. Now what?

I have a problem sending mail via smtp. I use a satellite system and the average return time for a ping is 675ms. Is this a problem with mail? If so can I change Mail to accept it. The problem also exists with Lion and on both my MacPro and my wife's Imac. I also see my mailboxes randomly disconnecting and reconnecting. Any other ideas of a possible cause?
I solved it myself, after the "note" which came back from FF/Mozilla just as I finished my message, commenting on what it was that my system had , I wnnt back to check my plug-ins etc. I downloaded the latest Java, BOTH 32bit AND 64 bit versions and latest Firefox.
Now all is working.

When I open my sleeping mac, it makes the noises that indicate mail is being sent. I am not sending mail. Is someone somehow using my mail?
go to https://appleid.apple.com/ and try to reset it there. when updating to ios 7 it does have activation lock so you have to know the apple id and password. contact apple and they make be able to assist you with apple id password.

Issue with sending mail through java stored procedure in Oracle

I am using Oracle 9i DB. I created a java stored procedure to send mail using the code given below. The java class works fine standalone. When its run from Java, mail is sent as desired. But when the java stored procedure is called from pl/sql "Must issue a STARTTLS command first" error is thrown. Please let me know if am missing something. Tried the same code in 11.2.0.2 DB and got the same error

Thanks for the reply. Actually I have seen that post before creating this thread. I thought that I could make use of java mail to work around this problem. I created a java class that succesfully sends mail to SSL host. I tried to call this java class from pl-sql through java stored procedure. That did not work
So, is this not supported in Oracle ? Please note that I have tested this in both 9i and 11g , in both the versions I got the error. You can refer to the code in the above post.

I was trying to send mail using fm SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1 but why problem is the internal table that needs to be passed has (contets bin ) has only 255 chars ...
but my data sets are huge and i need to send all of them in mail..so the remaining data is not getting reflected in the excel file....
whats the way out?

How to send mails to "CC" and "BCC" using receiver mail adapter dynamically

Due to business requirement PI need to send mails dynamically to u201CCCu201D and u201CBCCu201D using receiver mail adapter.
We have an option to send mails to u201CTou201D dynamically, but are there any option to send mails u201CCCu201D and u201CBCCu201D dynamically.

As mentioned by Lucas, you can use the UDF. Inn addition to that, you need to define the Variable Headers under Variable transport binding after enabling the Adapter Specific Message Attributes.
For the Enabling ASMA, follow the below steps and check for the variable attributes.
Select the Advanced tab page.
To save adapter-specific attributes in the message header of the XI message, select Use Adapter-Specific Message Attributes and Variable Transport Binding.
The following attributes in the message header are then available for processing:
○ User: (technical name: TServerLocation)
○ Authentication key: (technical name: TAuthKey)
The following mail header fields are available for processing:
○ From: (technical name: THeaderFROM)
○ To: (technical name: THeaderTO)
○ Cc: (technical name: THeaderCC)
○ Bcc: (technical name: THeaderBCC)
○ Subject: (technical name: THeaderSUBJECT)
○ Reference to the mail that is to be replied to: (technical name: THeaderIN-REPLY-TO)
○ Reply to: (technical name: THeaderREPLY-TO)
○ Mail client program: (technical name: THeaderX-MAILER)

To transfer further header fields, set the relevant indicator for Variable Header. The technical names for the fields are XHeaderName1, XHeaderName2, and XHeaderName3.
The parameters are included in the mail header under the names specified here.
The attribute namespace for the adapter is http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/Mail.

i am having problem in not able to send mail for a pop3 account ...
I have written an email gateway which listens to my pop3 account...on email arrival it listens nd extract the contents and send it as an sms msg...upon failure it needs to deliver the mail to sender id.I am using quartz to listen.
i am using jboss for server and java mail api.

i have i requirement like sending mails to user if the values in the report exceeds some threshold.
and user should be able to configure these mail settinigs. can any just tell me wether it is possible or not.

If you are on version 3.0 or greater then it would be possible to do something with dynamic recipients in a publication. You would write your main report to return the data with no conditions on it.
You would then write a report which returns a list of users who have past there threashold value. The publication would use this report to determine who should receive the report. To do this you would have to write a little app to get the users threashold into the reporting database.
Failing that you would have to write something using the SDK

When i try to send mail through iCloud.com, the sending email would be my iCloud email. However, when i send it through my iPhone, my Apple ID (@mac.com) is used. As such, the mail would not be successfully sent out. I cannot change the email used to send through iCloud.
Thus, i am able to receive Emails into my iCloud Email Inbox but cannot send any mail out through my iPhone.
I was wondering if anyone has similar issues or solutions to resolve this problem.I fooled around with the settings on the iPhone and was able to get it to send emails from @mac.com. I think what I did was to go into "Settings" --> "Mail, Contacts, Calendars," and delete the iCloud account. Then go back and re-add it. When you send an email you should be able to select your mac.com address from the pulldown.
My Apple ID was a mac.com address, so I don't know if that makes a difference. I could always select mac.com from webmail but not the phone and that seems to have reset it. Also, this was a couple of months back so my memory might not be completely accurate. -

I have header data and item data...in the below way..
header data
vbeln = 1000
item data
posnr recipient materail no quanity amount
10 1000 abc 100 10000
20 2000 pqr 100 5000
n n n n n
Now the for a particular recpient the data may go to next page ie: several pages.. if the item data for the same recipient is same then it should not display the header data in the 2nd page but it should only print the item data.
now based on the recipient changes i should print agian the header data and then the item data from the next page.
and also as the recipient is changing the mail should go to another person ie: all the related recipients mail will be send to one person and others to some other person
ie: recipient 1000 --- person1
recipient 2000 --- person2
like that.
how can i do..? can any one suggest me

I implemented similar one just a month back. But, I am not sure I can explain it completely or not... but there are few steps.
There are two solutions actually.. I am giving the simplest one...
Step 1 : Create just one page (Even header data will be within MAIN page)
Step 2 : Build an internal table combining header and item data.
Vbeln item material recipient
1000 10 mmm 10001
1000 20 nnn 10002
and so on
SORT itab by recipient.
Step 3 : Use loop Node to loop thru' itab
Use on change functionality (Copy current WA to Temp. WA to check the recipient change.. and all that code to be
implemented) For each New recipient, set flag 'X'. Also change the Page (Use command Node to start the new page) - Do not forget to tick 'Not on First Page' in conditions tab.
Display header Text/Block/Template with condition Flag = 'X'. And Item table without any condition.
The second solution is requirement specific... Let me know whether this works... If not, i'll give you the other

Installed SL, now Preview won't open my .PICT files
