Sendmail creating many mail.local process
I have configured sendmail 8.13.8 on Solaris 10. The issue is that after sendmail configuration, i found that many mail.local process are created & this hangs the server. Below is the config file sendmail.mc i used for configuration to relay messages to another server. I compiled this file & copied it to /etc/mail folder as sendmail.cf. After this i restarted sendmail. After couple of hours, many mail.local process are created

How to trigger a local process chain to run manually
Dear Experts,
In my company, I have a Daily process chain.
In this Daily process chain, it contains many other local process chains which are grouped by modules.
For example, I have created the following 3 process chains:
- Accounts Receivables Process Chain which contains all the required process for loading FIAR data.
- Accounts Payables Process Chain which contains all the required process for loading FIAP data.
- Inventory Process Chain which contains all the required process for loading Stocks data.
These 3 process chains are scheduled one after the other in the main process chain which is called Daily Process Chain.
FIAR needs to be successful before FIAP can run and Inventory chain will run only after FIAP is successful.
Normally it runs without any problems.
But recently, when the previous chain is successful, the next process chain does not get triggered to run.
In the end, I have to manually execute the remaining process chains to start running.
With this, all data are loaded, but the Daily Process Chain status for the day is yellow because it is not complete.
Is there a program or method which I can execute or use to trigger the process chain to continue to run in the Daily Process Chain? If there is, please let me know so that I can avoid having to run the process chains manually one by one.

How to create an identical local copy of a mail without attachments?
Hi,
I would like to save a copy of an IMAP-Message to my db without the attachments.
As I cannot modify the original message, I tried to create a new MimeMessage with the constructor MimeMessage(MimeMessage source) and then remove the attachments - this works fine so far, but using this constructor only the body seems to get copied without subject, recipients or from-address.
Can anybody give me a hint how to create an identical local copy of a Message-Object? I would rather like to do this without installing any local third party providers.

After my Thunderbird account mysteriously disappeared I had to re-open another mail account. After difficulty I restored address book. But only about 30 percent of email inbox restored. How can I restore the rest, many of which were important to me.

As you saw in the Profile folder mail accounts, 'folders' you see in the Thunderbird FolderPane are actually Files; mbox files.
Emails are downloaded to your Inbox and stored one after the other in the order they were downloaded. So, the emails are not stored as individual files, they are written into a text file which can get bigger and bigger if you do not manage the Inbox.
Any emails you delete, from your point of view they disappear from Inbox and reappear in 'Deleted' folder (Also called Trash).
In reality, those deleted emails are 'marked as deleted' and are still in the Inbox, but hidden. This means that if you had accidentally deleted an email, it would be easy to quickly get it back.
However, the deleted emails are still taking up space, so to clean up the file and remove those 'marked as deleted' emails, you have to 'compact' the folder. If you do not compact your folders then you increase the possibilty of getting a corrupted file and losing emails.
Using folders to organise emails into groups keeps the file size smaller and makes it easier to locate emails. It is also less risky. Smaller files also use less memory to open.

STRANGE PROBLEM with "Create New Mail Account.scpt" when creating POP acct.
I am using "Create New Mail Account.scpt" to create a POP account. It creates the account successfully. It fetches the mails successfully. Now the problem begins. After fetching all the mails once if u click "Get Mail" in mac mail, it fetches all the emails again and has now 1 original and 1 copy of the email set which is on the server. I just need 1 copy of the mail set not multiple. Please give me a solution or direct me to a help.

I can't quite tell what it's doing, but open Keychain Access in Applications>Utilities, click on your Keychain on the left, put .mac in the search bar, once you find it, double click on it and click show password.
If you have no mail in there try this with Mail quit.
Drag this file to the Desktop...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist
Start Mail & see if it steps you through it.

DBERROR. server won't deliver mail locally.
Our mail server here at the school (dual 1.33 G4 Xserve running 10.4.9) has stopped delivering mail locally. when i look at the logs it looks like it gets hung up transferring mail from the SMTP to the LMTP. Outgoing mail seems to still work fine. In the mail logs I'm getting these messages a lot:

I've read online about creating a DB_CONFIG file for the cyrus database to increase the cache size... It was at 60K before I started tinkering. It's now up to 120MB and I have set it many places in between and nothing seems to help. After I restart the service it will deliver about 10-20 messages and then start deferring them saying that a "connection was refused (connection to 127.0.0.1)"
Does anyone know how to fix this?I have not made any changes.
We are currently not using any SSL for mail. I've double-checked the Server Admin settings and it is turned off. -

A small quick question. If you have a local process chain, does it just create a dependency or does it execute the local process chain?
We have a Master data process chain and another chain that loads transaction data. These 2 chains are different chains. Now what we want is to create a dependency. If I include the Master data as a local process chain, does it load the master data again?, which we don't want or just create a dependency saying that the transaction data starts only after the local chain status is complete?

Thanks for the reply. We have the Master data chain running from a long time every day and the master data I need for my chain is part of it. We made another process chain for Transaction data that needs dependency on the master data thats part of the loading in the first chain. We don't want to control or change anything in the first chain as there are many other objects and other dependencies with other chains. Now if I include that whole Master data chain in my process chain and execute mine, does it execute the Master data chain also(the Master data chain is generally already executed by the time the second I mean transaction data chain start). So, in this case, is using the Master data chain as a local chain advisable?

How many mails i can send at a time per day using APEX mail system?

I am working on application, when i have written a process to send mail, i have a project where i have to send mail at a time for all the email id's
given list there are upto 5000 email id's where text body also include certain set of data from a report. thinking at a time 3000 its difficult i divided
it region wise, but still each region have 2000 odd email id's. during testing when i run the process just 950 mails i could send then i got a error
saying "ORA-20001: You have exceeded the maximum number of email messages per workspace. Please contact your administrator." so please
can any one help me to know How many mails i can send at a time per day using APEX mail system?

Actually this number denotes the Number of mails can be sent per 24 hour for the workspace,It may exceeded.
It may be the reason.

HI Guys,
I am in the process of designing the process chains for data loading. I have a situation where I am planning to use local process chains in the meta chain. Situation is like this:I have created Meta Chain for Master Data loading, which is having 2 local process chains, one is for Attributes and another is for loading texts. I placed them in the sequential order. First Attributes chain and on successful completion of Attribute chain it should run the Text process chain. But in the system it executes the Attribute chain successfully but the text process chain is always in the YELLOW( in progress ) state even though in that process chain I have only start process. In the SM50 it shows two background process with the user id ALEREMOTE, but process chain never finishes. In the Messages of the Text process chain I see the message"Communication buffer delted from the previous run ".
So I put the process chains in the parallel manner, meaning after start process of Meta chain I attached the two process chains so that they should execute simultaneously. But in this case too, Attribute local process chain gets executed but not the Text local process chain.
We tried debugging the process in SM50, it seems that there is some infinite loop.
If anybody has any clue then please reply back at your earliest. Your help is highly appreicated,

Santosh Tawarefirst point, i think you can have single process chian for both attributes and texts one after other.
second thing check in st22 if any dumps are occuring and check in the monitor in which step it is still running.

Messages to my mail in process chains

Can you help me in this reagard.
I would like to create messages in my process chain.
Saying that if the infopackage Load in PC fails ..
A message with "Load failed" has to come to my mail box...
This i tried on my PC -> select load infopack right click select messages...went to a screen with document and receipiants
created some document and saved created some receipiants and saved...
but when the load fails the message is not coming to my mail box.
So wat i have to do futhur...
Can any could suggest me...

Vishwa.Actually I would say the approach you have chosen is wrong. What I mean is that it is better to have successfully completed chains message you for successfull completion, than waiting message for a failed one.
The reason is simple: If your process chain did not start or if a process has "stuck" and has not timed out then you will not get a failed message back. On the other hand if you use the approach im suggesting, you will note that a successfull completion message is missing and that something went wrong.
Apart from that in the "send message" properties have you selected in the "recipient type" the sap logon name option? How do you check your inbox after that? Via the SO01 transaction?

lot of new features have been added in CE EHP1 version .for more information refer this [link|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwce711/helpdata/en/26/b7fa511a964597a5d8c1b778508936/content.htm] and search in SDN for new features in EHP1 version.
in CE EHP1, local web dynpro projects cannot be used as it is deprecated in this version.
i believe this calendar is a local standalone project created in CE 7.1 version and conert this local project to development component.
right click on ur local project --> Development component -->Convert Project to Development Component.
After this, go ur NWDI --> select ur component --> right click --> Create project (& Sync ysed Dcs) ..
finally deploy and run ur component .

How do you create a new local zone w/o all the global zone packages
I have serveral servers with hundreds of packages added w/o the pkgadd -G option. Everytime I create a new local zone, the local zone inherits all the global zone packages. Is there a way to modify maybe the packaging DB to stop the automatic inhertitance of packages to create new empty local zone ?

If we're talking about sparse zones, they share the root partition with the global zone anyway, so regardless of whether the packages were 'registered' with the zones, they would get the software anyway.
Of course, not registering the packages would speed up the patching process as it wouldnt have to futz around updating all the local package repositories.
So it would be an advantage in some respects.
If we're talking about a full root zone, then it ought to be possible in theory.
But I'm not aware of a way to do it in practice.
