Sennheiser PC350 Headset; Microphone issues

No section for headphones here, but I really need some help. If it's in the wrong place, please move it. Thanks.
I have no idea what the heck happened.
My PC350's have worked fine for the few days I had them. Recently though, I enabled 2/2.1 in them, a few days ago. It gave better sound quality & bass.
I didn't use my Mic for about two days or so, just playing Singleplayer games & watching movies.
I enabled Dolby Digital Live, it's not digitally connected, but I noticed the Audio became a lot better for some reason, maybe even a placebo effect.
I enabled the Mic finally..and noticed it was distored. Sounded really iffy and breaking up alot. So I moved the Mic up and down and noticed depending on it's angle, it sounded a little worse or better. I noticed that if I talked really quietly it almost didn't break up, but if I talked at normal level, it broke up near the middle or end, usually not the start.
So I reset the drivers, did the whole thing, used the original settings the Mic worked with. It's still scratchy and breaking up.
What do you guys think happened? I noticed that when the 2.1 audio was on, if I turned the mic on, I heard a large amount of noise.
Thanks, this is rather urgent. I might have to send them back for a replacement and that'll probably take two weeks, Amazon is slow.
I plugged the Mic into my Onboard sound and - it works perfectly. So after two days, my Mic jack is busted? It's only a YEAR OLD! WHAT THE HELL!
PCI Express X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Professional. Any word on how I return it to get a replacement? I don't wanna go to BestBuy where I bought it and see if they'll honor it, a year later. I did register the product on the website, but I can't find any place to go for RMA'ing it or anything, you guys have really bad account management.

Now the rest of the Audio jacks have gone! Junk!

Sound Blaster Arena Gaming Headset Microphone Issue

I have a problem with my SB Arena Gaming Headset, but for the life of me have been unable to contact Creative Support about it. I tried to create an RMA on Creative's support site, but the site told me that the product serial # was unrecognized or active. I had previously registered the headset on Creative's website. When I try to send Creative Support an e-mail via the website, the connection times out, stating that the server at 203.2.42.97 is taking too long to respond. Very frustrating. The boom microphone on the headset isn't working properly. In order for anyone to actually hear me, I need to hold the microphone so close to my mouth that it is brushing my lips. If I leave it at its default location, then nobody can hear a word that I'm saying. If I put it where they can hear me, it is so muffled that I'm unintelligible. Has anyone else experienced this (either the mic issue or the support issue)? I would love to get in touch with Creative, as the warranty ends in less than a month.

WoW Headset/Microphone Issue

I have a Wired, not Wireless. The earcup glows work fine for me.
For some reason, any program I want to use the headset with I need to wait to open until the headset is plugged in and registered. This is irritating, at best, because some sounds will transmit through the headset and others won't.
Besides this, it was working relatively fine earlier but when I logged into Ventrilo everything was distorted both coming in and going out. I sound like a Deconstructor to them and they sound like ones to me. I've tried unplugging and replugging, restarting, I will now be working with the drivers if possible.
It seems that every now and then it will also make my sound gritty, like a radio getting interference. Being that this is a Wired set, I find that odd, and I don't have my music blasting - ever.
Is anyone else having these glaring problems? I've only had them for two days and it looks like I'll be more than happy to return them for a refund.

My brother and I both bought the WOW headset. Both of us are having the problem discribed here. It seems very random and intermitent. I will be listening to him and all of a sudden his voice sounds mechanical and very distorted. Its hard to understand what he says. When the headphones work the sound quality is good, but when that happens, it just makes me want to return them. Its SOOOOO frustrating. I can't seem to find a solution to this. PLEASE HELP CREATIVE. I used to have the fatality headset I never had a problem with them. Almost wish i had just bought another pair of them.

Using third party headset with Retina Macbook Pro (microphone issue)

I have very strange issue with my Retina Macbook Pro (Late 2013) OS X 10.9.3
When I plug in my Steel Series Headset, its microphone not recognised by system and only "Internal microphone" available in Settings - Sound - Input.
Headset itself works perfectly fine, because when I plug it to my iPhone, its microphone works without any problems.
Macbook's headphone port also works fine — when I plug in my iPhone original headset to Macbook, its mic works good and I can see "External microphone" in Settings - Sound - Input.
So headset is ok and headphone port is ok. What is the problem?
How to force macbook to use headset microphone instead of built-in one?

Windows 7 RC1 not recognising my fatal1ty headset microphone

I have got a problem, I recently switched to windows 7 RC1 and now I cannot get the mic to work.
My soundhardware:
x-fi titanium soundcard
fatal1ty gaming headset (not the USB one)
sound output works normal, windows even recognises that my line-in is active BUT I am getting no input from my microphone at all.
Anyone know what this could be? (I am running the newest beta drivers for my soundcard btw)

I used to have Vista 64bit installed on my Desktop with a Vista that is supposed to be onl;y used for my Dell Laptop......Windows has noticed this and will not let me do updates anymore to my Desktop
So I reinstalled Windows 7 64bit that I had installed a while ago and now I have no mic to use on Teamspeak. My headset (Sennheiser PC350) worked with Vista 64bit. I am just doimng the Auto update from Creative and have also downloaded the beta drivers from Creative for Windows 7. If I have any luck getting my Mic working I will let you know. I would appreciate if you could do the same to me if you get yours working.

Can not pick up sound through the Bluetooth headset microphone.

I use a Plantronics Bluetooth headset M55 connect new IPAD (IOS6.0), long press the voice dialing, SIRI from Bluetooth headset microphone can not pick up sound, still or IPAD comes with a microphone to pick up sound, SIRI does not recognize, but canfrom the earpiece of the Bluetooth headset to hear the SIRI feedback sound.Want to be able to solve this bug.

Same issue on my wife's iPhone 4S. I suspect it is related to the recent 6.1.2 iOS update (Note: I have a 3S and the update did not cause any issues).
I've tested both bottom and top mics on the 4S using video recorder and both mics work fine. Speakerphone and headset during calls also work fine. The issue is only related to the bottom mic while making calls. I can hear the caller but the caller cannot hear me. If I hold the mic very close to my mouth, the caller can hear a very low level signal.
The problem appears to be software related, not hardware.

Lenovo Y50 Microphone Issue

I started using my Lenovo Y50 about a month ago and have been having an ongoing problem with external microphones/headsets.The issue is that when I plug in a headset, the sound defaults to the headset's speakers, but the default microphone remains the one in my laptop. I have not been using a USB or the S/PDIF plug; just the normal audio jack. So far I have tried three pairs of headphones: A TekNmotion Yapster Blaster headset, a pair of apple earbuds with the mic attached, and finally a Razer Kraken Pro headset. Based on that, I don't think it is the fault of the headsets.Additionally, my brother got the same exact laptop at the same time, and he is experiencing this issue as well.We figured out a temporary fix:Open the sound menu, go to the "Recording" tab. For us, there are three items present: "Line In" for the Razer pro headset, "Microphone," which I assume refers to the laptop's mic, and "Stereo Mix." By setting the default device to "Microphone," then unplugging and plugging the headset back in. It will now work, but only when the "Sound" window is open. As soon as the window closes it stops working. I have tried splitting the speakers and mic, plugging in just the mic by itself, but it will only work with a combined jack. I have limited knowledge of the S/PDIF input, but from my troubleshooting experience I found that it does not work with the split mic or speakers, or combined audio jack. It is possible to transmit voice from a Headset Microphone to Iphone5?

I am planning to run Yoga classes in the near future and will need a headset microphone so my class can hear me clearly. I would like to use my Iphone5 in a speaker dock and was wondering if I could transmit sound from a (preferably) wireless headset with built in microphone through to my iphone and out of the speaker dock?

Copy the movie to your computer, Then you can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.

Microphone Issue's

I'm testing out adobe audition 3 and im having microphone issue's. Im tryin to record with a Blue Snowball USB Microphone, but after i go to Audio Hardware setup and set everthing to ASIO4ALL apply and press ok, i press record and it gives me a message that states, " The currently selected audio driver is not availible. Another application may be using the same driver or the device may not be properly connected or powerd. You can select a new driver using the Audio Hardware Set Up option." I was thinkin it was because i also have mixcraft 4 armed with the ASIO4ALL driver but than i disabled it and still no luck with adobe. Any suggestions?
P.S. : Does anyone have a link to get Adobe Audition 3 for free?

Hello, I plugged in my headset/microphone into my speakers system gigaworks T20.Problem is that my microphone doesn't work. When I'm calling someone over the internet they can't hear me. I already dit several checks en tests but I can't find what the problem is.
I think dat the speakers doens't have the possibility to use a microphone.

If you want to use a microphone with your computer software, you need to connect it to your computer sound card instead. The Aux In on the speaker isn't meant for connecting microphone.

Fatal!ty HS-1000 headset microphone

Just recently my Fatal!ty HS-1000 headset microphone stopped working. The red light on the headset is lit up but as soon as i start a game that uses a mic or connect to a ventrilo server or use any program that uses a mic, the red light just goes out and I cannot use the mic. As soon as i close the program the light turns back on. Any info that could help me get my mic working would be great....
Winxp 64 is my os and the mic worked just fine for a year or so just until yesterday. I can provide more system info if needed.

Audio/Microphone Issue - Lumia 920

I suddenly have an audio and microphone issue with my Lumia 920 which I've had for two months.
Regarding the microphone, people are suddenly having a tough time hearing me speak into the phone in conversation.
Regarding the audio, the noise from playing video is working, but I can not hear any music. The music is running, but no sound.
Very frustrating problems.

I think Nokia is taking this issue way too lightly. It is now a rampant problem with the 920. People just cannot hear me when I make or receive a call. I do not have any protective case that would interfere with the microphone function etc.
I have searched the issue - and it is becoming a common problem that people have a hard time hearing you on a call - unless, that is, if you use speaker phone function.
Is Nokia going to address this issue - or keep treating it as a non-issue? I have requested a replacement from AT&T - but I anticipate the same issue coming up with it. I would rather not have my phone replaced - especially if Nokia/MS could issue an update that solves this issue.

Internal microphone issue NB300

Have recently been using Skype and MSN and everything worked fine.
Then tried to download audio files from dctaphone using microphone socket again seems to work ok.
However now microphone on NB300 barely audible on receiving machines.
Screen surround ultra sensitive and high pitched feedback occasionally.
Have downloaded video downlaods but no significant improvement.
Concerned it may be hardware not software.
Toshiba machine diagnostics dont identify a problem.
Any help appreciated as not too technically minded.

Sorry for the delay in responding. Did as you suggested and ensured the settings were as shown on the website address you supplied. I have also restored system to a previous restore point which seems to have fixed the microphone issue but now they cannot receive video stream and video images not seen on my machine. Probably need to do some more tinkering. It is a shame that there is no way to record the system settings at a particular time so that in order to regularise the position you can reset manually.

6300 Bluetooth a2dp headset reconnection issue

I have a Nokia 6300 with latest firmware/software. I am using a SE MW600 Bluetooth stereo headset for listening music, everything ok but when I try to reconnect it always loose connection. It says Disconnecting... .
I had the same issue before with a non-original (No brand) A2DP headset. It seems this is not the headset's issue, I think this is the Nokia 6300 phone's issue.
It is 2010 now, but Bluetooth is not compatible with its devices.
What is the solution? Why do I have to pay for something for Bluetooth, for Symbian, for Nokia phone they can not make a compatible device / accessory / software ? Is Bluetooth a standard? Why do we have to pay for those ?engineers who can not make a compatible device?

Well, I decided I didn't want to put up with this anymore, so my Pre went back to the store yesterday. I'm just sick of having a phone that's missing one crucial feature or another--I've been a loyal Palm customer for many years now, but it seems like they have turned into a second-class company. Lack of support and updates, shoddy products, etc.--it just seems like they never quite get it right.
So, I'm somewhat sorry to say it, but I'm going to get an iphone. While I'd prefer to have a device that had a physical QWERTY keyboard, I'm willing to put up with a virtual one as long as the phone operates correctly.
