Sent email not recieved on othere end

A week ago I sent an e-mail that was never recieved by the reciepient.
It is still in my outbox, and is no showing up (asa it normally wouldn't becuase it would be deleted after sending) in my verizon.net account online.
Is there any way to track what happened to it and where (verizon - the receipients provider  - proof that it got transfered to their inbox...)?

Sorry to hear about your email not being received. This email did not get to their  inbox. Emails in the outbox are pending to be sent. Once it has been sent, its moved to the sent box. Please check the recipients email address and make sure there are no typos or any extra characters in the TO: field that shouldn't be there. If additional help is still required, please reply back.

Why are sent emails not stored in the Sent Items folder?

    Thanks, Matt.
I'm now starting to notice the emails that don't come in order are all posted from sites that use multiple platforms to send the same message; email, Facebook, Twitter, etc. so maybe that has something to do with it. I'm thinking the hold up is possibly at their end.

  • GoDaddy exchange account sent emails not appearing in sent folder in Mac Mail

The problem: I set up my business email address (GoDaddy exchange account) as a new email account in Mac Mail. A few days later I noticed that sent emails were no longer appearing in my sent folder for this account.
The solution: there was a conflict with the Gmail account that I also set up in Mac Mail a few days after I set up my business email. I have deleted my gmail account from Mac Mail and so far so good - sent emails are appearing again in the Sent folder in Mac Mail.
    Note:
    - Emails sent from webmail (Office 365 Outlook) did appear in the Sent folder.
    - GoDaddy thought there was a conflict in the name of the Sent folders (called Sent Items in webmail interface), but said it was a problem Apple should solve.

Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.

  • RTF format emails not consistent on recipient end

I send out stock order confirmation emails to lots of customers. I frequently get replies back, with the content of my email looking very inconsistent.
I have done some testing, by making an rtf email, and sending it to a number of friends, and then look at what they are receiving on their computer. It is just dismal to see how different they come out.
I am using times or arial font, something that everyone should have. Just bolding and coloring some text, nothing super fancy or complex.
Often, the bold text comes out much smaller, the colored text is larger. The emails I am sending are very inconsistent. I cannot imagine that this is acceptable to any business or professional person.
I realize that I can use plain text, but this does not allow me to highlight the important points in the email, or insert the links that I need.
How does everyone else handle this? Is Mail just a loser program, and everyone really uses Entourage?
    mark

To have your font and color choices seen at the other end, you must normally set them for each outgoing individually in the New Message pane (not in Mail > Preferences). Also they may need to be different than what is set in Mail > Preferences.
If you are already doing that and things are not working as you would like, or if you don't want to do that, then your conclusion is correct, Mail is not suitable for the purpose, and everyone else uses Thunderbird or Entourage instead. Office for Mac 2011, due out this fall I think, is supposed to have a new Outlook for Mac included.
In general, of course, the recipient often has control of how your email appears. If he turns off html mail, nothing you do regarding fonts and colors will ever appear on his screen.

  • Sent emails not being delivered from Outlook via S...

Hi, is anyone else having issues with sent items via Outlook?
My settings have been working fine for years and the Outlook account check does not show any issues, yet when I send emails they are not delivered. They're not in my Outbox and they go to sent items.
I've tried reconfiguring for SSL, disabling all firewalls/HIPS/protection all to no avail.
It's really annoying especially at this time of year - but tech support say they do not support Outlook and emails sent from the web client work OK.
It can connect to mail.btinternet.com over port 25 and if i couldn't would get an error message in outlook so can only assume they are knocking around somewhere in the BT infrastructure.
Would be useful if a track on emails was available...
Any feedback on similar issues or advice would be gratefully received!
    Thanks

sorry gg30340 , Yes webmail works fine and I can receive from Outlook fine, just sent emails seems to disappear into a black hole from Outlook
    Hi. Welcome to the forums.
For info, CP (Critical Path) has been in use for a few months now for the conversion from using Yahoo! mail servers.
What version of Outlook are you using ?
In the smtp setting, try removing @btinternet.com or @btopenworld.com from the username - despite what the online help might say.
You might like to try port 25, with No security or SSL/TLS setting.
Is it all emails that are failing to send ?
If emails have been fine for years, do you know what the previous settings were ?
As for disabling firewalls - this doesn't always help - as they can still block emails! What security package are you using, and have you checked the settings within that package ?
    Sorry for the extra questions.

  • Sent Emails not Showing

How can I see my sent emails?  I could not see the sent emails on both outlook and iphone.  I already changed the IMAP settings to have my sent emails available in the server. Help please.

    Hi Seventy One
It is nowhere to be found, it happens with very small emails also, they generally get to the sender then sometimes materialise in my sent box after a few days.
I'm on fibre and unlimited allowances, I forwarded an email I had received this morning and it hung with the progress bar for like 30/40 seconds then indicated with sound it had sent, it's nowhere in my drafts or sent, i sent it again and it performed instantly with the second copy in my sent folder. No sign at all of first mail? its just an irritation I'm always worried it didn't send.
    thanks

  • Sent emails not synchronizing over iCloud

I have lost I don't know how many sent emails suddenly two weeks ago. It appears that messages sent from my iPhone or iPad don't always appear in my sent mailbox in Mail on my mac.
I have tried rebuilding the sent mailbox, but it doesn't change a thing. It goes pretty fast and doesn't seem to interrogate iCloud at all. I do have a some sent mail that I don't have on my mac anymore on iCloud.
Please share any hint at a solution.
    Thanks,
    Z

Sorry, yes, I'm using iCloud mail.
Sync between devices works except for sent mail on my mac.
A message sent from my iPhone will go in its "sent" mailbox and also appear in the "sent" mailbox of my iPad, but not in the "sent" mailbox of my iMac and not in the "sent" mailbox of iCloud Mail on the web either.
A message sent from my iMac will go in its "sent" mailbox but won't show up in any of the "sent" mailboxes of my iPhone, iPad, or in iCloud on the web.
So, this means that I have all inboxes synchronized, but not the "sent" mailboxes.

  • Sent email not received

Running 10.5.2 on new intel iMac. Can receive email and send email, however, the sent email is never received. I put and airport extreme base station between the isp and computer and all works well. The direct ethenet connection the receipient never gets the message. All mail setting have been check and rechecked, mail & preferences have been deleted and reset up. Have tried adjusting the mtu to smaller packets to no avail. Connecting to the isp via a Cisco Workgroup Bridge. Anyone have any thoughts for solution besides putting in the airport?

This is extremely unlikely to be a network issue that will be solved by using airport vs. ethernet.
If that were the case you would probably get an error message in the mail client saying it could not send the message to the server.
The place you need to focus on is the mail server you are sending your message to. Its logs will tell you whether it received the message and what it did with it.

  • Sent email not stored (on IMAP server)

    Hi,
I browsed through a lot of discussions and found that a lot of other people are having the same problem.  I still couldn't find a solution to my problem in these discussions though.
My Mail app (6.0) is set to 'store sent message on server' and never delete it.  I selected the correct folder (left pane) to 'use this mailbox for' sent emails in the 'Mailbox' menu.
Still, when sending an email, it is not saved in the 'sent' mailbox and I can't find it on the webmail either.  It is delivered to its receiver though.
I called my ISP and they are telling me it is my Mail application (can be right, as it works perfectly with Thunderbird).  Apple is telling me it is my ISP...
Meanwhile, I still have this issue and I realy would like to use Mail instead of Thunderbird.  Please help.

ok, problem solved.  It seems this was a problem with my ESP not granting full acces or writing privileges to Apples Mail application.  I was tired of this provider anyway for multiple reasons; so I switched.  Now it works fine.

  • Sent email not getting through

Problem: No access to smtp server when sending email via Comcast (receive is OK). I have an old PC (Win XP Pro, Outlook Express) being replaced by a new PC (Win 7 Pro, Outlook 2010). When sending email from either machine I get a "socket error: 10013" and the emails don't go out. The new Linksys E2000 seems to be the common point (which replaced a WRT54GS). I have checked the config on this device and it's all fairly vanilla - DHCP (currently using out-of-the-box IP address), wireless with WPA2, no port filtering or special games/apps setups. Everything works includng wireless laptop access to the I-net through the E2000 and wireless printing. Except sent email. No other changes to security software (Norton 360) were (knowingly) made.
    Any ideas?

Connect the modem directly to the computer and then check if you can send emails.

  • Sent Emails Not Saved

    Please see this screenshot: http://geoffmyers.net/images/mail_screenshot.png
Since August 20, none of my sent emails have been saved by Mail (the account is IMAP). If you see the screenshot, you can see that, for some strange reason, Mail shows several subfolders under Sent instead of just a single folder (like my other 2 email accounts on the bottom). This only began recently. I can access all my Sent emails sent before August 20 within the "Sent Messages" folder. But now I think Mail is confused as to where sent emails go, so it doesn't save them. Please advise. Thank you.

I figured it out. I just clicked on "Sent Messages" then went to Mailbox > Use This Mailbox For > Sent.

It is a 1 week old macbook air and I'm assuming it has the latest iOS installed but don't know how to check as this is my first Macbook.
MacBook Air does not run iOS.  It runs OS X (pronounced as in OS - ten).  You can check which version you have by clicking the Apple logo in the upper left of the menu bar, then "About This Mac".  The current version is OS X 10.8.4.  If you do not have that version, you can click "Software Update" just below the "About This Mac" entry under the Apple logo.
Anyway, typically, the reason for the FaceTime behavior you're describing is a less-than-robust internet WiFi connection.
