Sequence in configurations

can any body tell me what will the ideal sequence of configuration in SD module for any organization.

Hello,
<b>**Please do reward if this helps**</b>
SD Configuration:
<b>Enterprise Structure:</b>
1. Maintaining Sales Organization
Sales Organization is an organizational unit responsible for the sale of certain products or services.
IMG -> Enterprise Structure -> Definition -> Sales and Distribution -> Define, copy, delete, check Sales organization
2. Assigning Sales Organization to Company Code
This assignment ensures all the sales made through this Sales Organization are accounted for in the assigned Company Code (Company Code is created by FI Consultant).
IMG -> Enterprise Structure -> Assignment -> Sales and Distribution -> Assign Sales Organziation to Company Code
3. Maintaining Distribution Channel
Distribution Channel is the way, in which Products or Services reach Customers.
IMG -> Enterprise Structure -> Definition -> Sales and Distribution -> Define, copy, delete, check distribution channel
4. Assigning Distribution Channel to Sales Organization
This assignment ensures, a Sales Organization can supply Materials to Customers through this Distribution Channel.
IMG -> Enterprise Structure -> Assignment -> Sales and Distribution > Assign distribution channel to sales organization
5. Maintaining Division
Division is a way of grouping materials, products, or services.
IMG -> Enterprise Structure -> Definition -> Logistics - General -> Define, copy, delete, check division
6. Assigning Division to Sales Organization
IMG -> Enterprise Structure -> Assignment -> Sales and Distribution -> Assign division to sales organization
7. Setting up Sales Area
All the sales are made from a particular sales Area. For creating a Sales Order Sales Area is compulsory.
IMG ->Enterprise Structure -> Assignment -> Sales and Distribution -> Set up sales area
8. Assigning Sales Organization- Distribution Channel- Plant
Plant is created ny MM Consultant.
IMG -> Enterprise Structure -> Assignment -> Sales and Distribution -> Assign sales organization - distribution channel - plant
9. Define Shipping Points
Shipping Point is the Organizational element, which is responsible for shipping the Materials to the Customers.
IMG -> Enterprise Structure -> Definition -> Logistics Execution -> Define, copy, delete, check shipping point
10 Assigning Shipping Point to Plant
This assignment ensures that goods from different Plant can be dispatched from different Shipping Points.
IMG -> Enterprise Structure -> Assignment -> Logistics Execution -> Assign shipping point to plant
Note: Ensure to do the undermentioned configuration also though it is not in Customizing node of Enterprise Structure.
11. Defining Common Distribution Channels for Master Data
Use
The purpose of this activity is to define distribution channels which have common master data..
Procedure
Access the activity using one of the following navigation options:
IMG Menu -> Sales and Distribution -> Master Data -> Define Common Distribution Channels
Transaction Code: VOR1
12. Defining Common Divisions for Master DataUse
The purpose of this activity is to define distribution channels which have common master data..
Procedure
Access the activity using one of the following navigation options:
IMG Menu -> Sales and Distribution -> Master Data -> Define Common Division
Transaction Code: VOR2
Pricing Procedure
In SD, Pricing Procedure is determined based on Sales Area (Sales Organization + Distribution Centre + Division) + Customer Pricing Procedure + Document Pricing Procedure. Sales Area is determined in Sales Order Header Level. Customer Pricing Procedure is determined from Customer Master. Document Pricing Procedure is determined from Sales Document Type / Billing Type (if configured). Once the pricing procedure is determined, Condition records are fetched. If appropriate condition records are found, the price is determined. If Mandatory pricing condition is missing, system will through an error message.
In SD, the steps to configure Pricing procedure are as under:
Step 1:
Condition table: If existing condition table meets the requirement, we need not create a new condition table. Considering the requirement for new condition table, the configuration will be done in spro as follows: IMG --> Sales & Distribution --> Basic Function --> Pricing Control --> Condition Table (select the required fields combination, which will store condition record).
Step 2:
Access Sequence: If existing access sequence meets the requirement, we need not create a new access sequence. Considering the requirement for new sequence, the configuration will be done in spro as follows: IMG --> Sales & Distribution --> Basic Function --> Pricing Control --> Access Sequence (Access sequence is made up of Accesses (Tables) & the order of priority in which it is to be accessed. Here we assign the condition table to access sequence.
Step 3:
Condition Type: If existing condition type meets the requirement, we need not create a new condition type. Considering the requirement for new condition type, the configuration will be done in spro as follows: IMG --> Sales & Distribution --> Basic Function --> Pricing Control --> Condition Type. It is always recommended to copy an existing similar condition type & make the neccessary changes. Here we assign Access sequence to Condition type.
Step 4:
a. Pricing Procedure: It is recommended to copy a similar pricing procedure & make the neccesary changes in new pricing procedure. Pricing Procedure is a set of condition type & arranged in the sequence in which it has to perform the calculation. Considering the requirement for new Pricing Procedure, the configuration will be done in spro as follows: IMG --> Sales & Distribution --> Basic Function --> Pricing Control --> Pricing Procedure --> Maintain Pricing Procedure.
b. Pricing Procedure: After maintaining the pricing procedure the next step will be determination of pricing procedure. Configuration for determining pricing procedure in SPRO is as follows: IMG --> Sales & Distribution --> Basic Function --> Pricing Control --> Pricing Procedure --> Determine Pricing Procedure.
5. Condition record: Condition record is a master data, which is required to be maintained by Core team / person responsible from the client. During new implementation, the condition records can be uploaded using tools like SCAT, LSMW, etc.
Normal Sales Order Cycle:-
Step 1: Sales Document Type
IMG > Sales and Distribution > Sales > Sales Documents >
Sales Document Header:
1. Sales Document Type:The sales document types represent the different business transactions, such as Inquiry, Quotation, Sales Order, etc. To create new sales order type, always copy as with reference to similar sales order. If possible use standard sales order.
2. Define Number Ranges For Sales Documents: Maintain number range with discussion with core team.
3. Assign Sales Area To Sales Document Types:
A. Combine sales organizations / Combine distribution channels / Combine divisions: Ensure to maintain these, else Sales Order creation will give error.
B. Assign sales order types permitted for sales areas: Assign only required Sales Order Types to required Sales Area. This will minimize selection of Sales Order Type as per sales area.
Sales Document Item:
1. Define Item Categories: If possible use Standard Item Category. Incase if required to create new, copy as from standard & maintain New.
2. Assign Item Categories: If possible, use standard. Formula for deriving item category: Sales Document Type + Item Category Group + Usage + Higher Level Item Category = Item Category
Schedule Line:
1. Define Schedule Line Categories: If possible use Standard Schedule Lines. Incase if required to create new, copy as from standard & maintain New.
2. Assign Schedule Line Categories: If possible, use standard. Formula for deriving Schedule Line: Item Category + MRP Type / No MRP Type.
Step 2:
IMG > Logistic Execution > Shipping > Deliveries >
1. Define Delivery Types: If possible use Standard Delivery Type. Incase if required to create new, copy as from standard & maintain New.
2. Define Item Categories for Deliveries: If possible use Standard Item Categories for Delivery Type. Incase if required to create new, copy as from standard & maintain New.
3. Define Number Ranges for Deliveries: Ensure to maintain number range.
Step 3:
IMG > Sales and Distribution > Billing >
1. Define Billing Types: If possible use Standard Billing Type. Incase if required to create new, copy as from standard & maintain New.
2. Define Number Range For Billing Documents: Ensure to maintain number range.
3. Maintain Copying Control For Billing Documents: Maintain relevant copy controls such as Sales Order to Billing, Deliver to Billing, etc.

  • Why PS_TXN transaction sequence is configured as 50 by defult

Please can you help me understand why PS_TXN_SEQ is configured as 50 by default ...
generally it should be set it as 1
    Thanks for your inputs
    Sreeni

looks like the sequence "increment by" param configured as "1 increment by 50".
Database Objects Used For Application Module State Management
    The PS_TXN Table
The PS_TXN table stores snapshots of pending changes made to BC4J application module instances. The table manages the B-Tree storage of rows. The snapshot information is stored as an XML document that encodes the unposted changes in an application module instance. Only pending data changes are stored in the snapshot, along with information about the current state of active iterators (i.e. "current row" pointers information). The value of the COLLID column corresponds to the value returned by the ApplicationModule.passivateState() method.
    The PS_TXN_SEQ Sequence
This sequence is used to assign the next persistent snapshot Id for Application Module pending state management. If the PS_TXN table contains any rows at the time this sequence is created, the sequence is created so that is STARTS WITH the integer that is one greater than the MAX(COLLID) value from the rows in PS_TXN.

  • ISE 1.2 Patch 2 External RADIUS Server Sequence Broken?

    Hi community,
We have upgraded our proof of concept ISE 1.2 lab to Patch level 2.
Our lab design includes the use of external RADIUS servers which we off-load certain authentication rules to.
To ensure resiliency of the external RADIUS service, we have two of these which we add to a RADIUS Server Sequence, the idea being that if the first in the list is unavailable, ISE will try the second and all will be well.
Now this worked for us in testing ISE 1.2, but I have noticed that after the upgrade to Patch 2 ISE is sending the majority RADIUS traffic to the first (failed) external RADIUS server, with only the odd RADIUS Access-Request to thte next in the list.
    Anybody else come across this??
    All helpful comments rated!
    Many thanks, Ash.

I couldn't find any known issues with this feature. Could you please paste the screen shot of external radius sequence and configuration. Also, how are we determing that the first server in the sequence is DEAD?

  • SCCM's OSD (not MDT): Task sequence can be tweaked into imaging Windows+VHD Native Boot, but can it go all the way and deploy?

    Hello All,
What I am trying to do is use SCCM's own OSD Task Sequence / Windows PE to deploy an operating system that boots using VHD Native Boot. (C:\ = VHD File  with Windows, D:\ Data drive with BCDBoot).
MDT 2013 Can do it I've been told, but I am putting off MDT until Windows 10 if I can get away with it.
TechNet VHD Native Boot on Windows 8.1:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh825689.aspx
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh825691.aspx
The good news is it is working up to the "Apply Operating System" phase, but that apply operating system phase is reported as an error even though it completes successfully. It can't clean up the SMSTS folder it's looking for on the C:\ because
it's been moved over to the D:\ by a diskpart script. We are left with the deployment working but requiring IT staff to deal with the OOBE Personalization wizard and adding each PC to the domain manually. From that point on the SCCM client can do the rest,
which works for US before we upgrade to Windows 10 with utilizing MDT.
I am not talking about deploying an OS to a VHD file and putting that file on a network share i.e.
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/configurationmgr/archive/2013/10/31/new-in-system-center-2012-r2-configuration-manager-deploying-an-operating-system-to-a-virtual-hard-drive-vhd.aspx
I reported getting the diskpart script working first here:
    https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/ff124f09-1d2e-4fc4-a5b6-63b683f3d208/native-vhd-boot-deployments-from-sccm-2012-r2?forum=configmanagerosd
    Here it is:
rem work around any USB disk left in or any CDROM detected by PE as drive D
    select volume D
    assign letter=F noerr
rem select the formatted volume and reassign it's drive letter
    select volume C
    assign letter=D
rem create and setup VHD file
    create vdisk file=D:\DEV_WIN81.VHD maximum=250000 type=expandable
    select vdisk file=D:\DEV_WIN81.VHD
    attach vdisk
    create partition primary
    active
    format FS=NTFS quick label="Developer Win81 VHD"
    assign letter=C
    rescan
    exit
(type=fixed is better for performance - we'll surely activate when we have dual boot 8.1 / Windows 10 later for the Win10 VHD's)
The Task Sequence looks like this:
I'd like to add a few more steps after apply operating system if I can, but I have to resolve this error with "Apply Operating system before I can go further."
    Question:
Can an OSD guru tell me if there are any Task Sequence Variables we could throw at this to make the Apply Operating System sequence complete without error so we can do all SCCM OSD Deployment steps?
If we can, then someone (not me) gets to add a new TechNet blog post about this being possible. It's my understanding presently that only MDT can support deploying WIM files into VHDs on Workstations, that boot them.
The install image was created using dism to convert a VHD from a Hyper-V host into a wim. I know I'm meant to use SCCM to capture it, but I don't think that's causing this problem because when we are deploying from that image to a HDD without VHD we don't
    get any issues.
I'm only allowed enough characters to paste the tail end of the apply operating system phase only:

    MCSE,MCNE,SCO,Sair Linux/GNU, Open source-enthusiast.

I have already set it to FALSE. The solution to this will be some different OSD Task Sequence variables or a statement that it can't be made to work.
I believe that setting defines what volume will be the BOOT / OS Drive Letter. Some people were getting D:\WINDOWS as their boot volume drive letter. Setting to true means whatever was the System Drive letter (usually C) in the image will remain as such
after it was was applied, setting it to false will make the system have the same drive letter arrangement as what Windows PE detects. In my case I set it to false so that no matter what the new VHD file setup as drive C will be the system drive. I'll set it
to true on the next deployment but I expect there to be no difference, because in both PE and the WIM the installation volume is the C:.
We are talking about the DRIVE LETTERS Windows PE SCCM OSD is using for it's temporary files - and how we can manipulate these locations using OSD Task Sequence Variables, so the Apply OS doesn't try and clean up files that are not there
    - and fail with an error if you have added a VHD Native Boot volume.
This OSDPreserveDriveLetter setting isn't having any effect on the problem here.
I believe that Format step is setting some task variables used by the OSD Deployment process - telling it where to store it's temporary files. However between the Format Disks and Apply operating system steps the OSD Task Sequence isn't picking up on the
fact what was the C:\ after Format HDD step is now the D:\ .
A developer who has an understanding of how the OSD boot process executes in order would be able to see what's going on here.

  • Failed to run task sequence. Error occurred while starting the task sequence (0x8007000E)

    Hi there
Patch Tuesday yesterday (10th June2014). As always we deploy new patches first to a test collection where Windows 7 updates automatically apply.
Upon trying to rebuild any of the machines in this test collection, we were presented with the following error message:
Failed to run task sequence.  Error occurred while starting the task sequence (0x8007000E)
After searching about this, I found this page from Niall Brady, which explained the problem:
    http://www.niallbrady.com/2013/05/17/after-selecting-a-task-sequence-in-configuration-manager-2012-sp1-you-receive-threadtoresolveandexecutetasksequence-failed-code0x8007000e-in-smsts-log/
So I removed some of the machines from the test Windows update collection, and as per the advice in the above link, the error was gone and those machines could be built successfully.
So the problem is there were too many many policies downloaded (apps, packages and most of all updates) for the task sequence ram to store, hence the error.
    Now...
    ...I have a question.
The next logical step to my mind is to patch our OS image with all missing patches, so these do not have to be downloaded at build time. Niall mentions this as one of the resolutions to this issue.
However there seems to be some confusion over whether this would actually make a difference.
    I read through this link:
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/7e597b44-2586-4063-b6d0-cec48a7c11c7/sccm-2012-task-sequence-failure-0x8007000e?forum=configmanagerosd
There's seems to be no consensus on this.
Is SCCM 2012 clever enough to - when the task sequence is first started - to download ONLY the updates (policies) it detects as NOT present in the OS image...
    or
Will it simply try to download policies for ALL items deployed to it, whether the updates are present in the OS image or not?
I will be disappointed if SCCM 2012 SP1 CU2 isn't clever enough to only download policies at build time for the apps, packages and updates it detects as needed.
I'd be grateful for some clarity on this.
    Regards,
    John, Glasgow.

    Hi Jason
Thank you for replying, I appreciate it.
    1) We currently have 15 or 16 software update groups for Office updates, dating back a month or two. The latest software update group contains all the patches in the previous software update groups plus the patches released on 10th June. Do you recommend
deleting all but the latest software update group?
    2) I'm almost reluctant to ask this, but based on what you have advised, is it the case that when the task sequence executes, it will download policies for each update in each software update group regardless of whether it has already downloaded a policy
for an update in a previous software update group? So in effect it's downloading policies (for updates) it has already downloaded?
    3) I'm not clear on why there would be no policy for an image; in Niall Brady's informative page on the 8007000E error, he writes the following:
"The reason it has run of space could be due to four possibilites: too many applications, too many Windows updates, too many Task Sequence steps, too many referenced packages'.
Can you shed some light on why there isn't a policy for an image?
    Thanks again for replying,
    John.

  • OSD - Failed to run Task Sequence. An error occurred while starting the task sequence (0x8007000E).

    Failed to run Task Sequence.
An error occurred while starting the task sequence (0x8007000E)."
While OSD, picks up task sequence but fails in resolving task sequence dependencies. SMSPXE identifies device is not in database (unknown).
    SMSTS.log shows
ThreadToResolveAndExecuteTaskSequence failed. Code(0x8007000E)" in SMSTS.LOG, have seen other articles suggesting failure due to lack of storage (RAM) but this task sequence has worked in past.
By the way, if I create a stand alone media, we are able to image the workstation. What has changed in the task sequence such that the workstation is unable to download policies due to lack of storage (RAM) on workstation. Workstation has 2 GB of RAM.

I have found a work around for the issue, even though the computer is unknown, there were software updates targeted to the ALL SYSTEMS collection which applies to All Unknown Computers and therefore to x64 Unknown Computer and x86 Unknown Computer.
We had a SCEP ADR applying definition updates to All Systems, we applied the ADR to a different collection, removed all the SCEP updates to All Systems and successfully re-imaged the workstation. Following article was of great help in identifying the problem

Hi wondering if some kind soul can put an end to my torture. Iv been fighting with this issue for about a week now.  As far as i know sccm has been setup correctly. (sorry i was not the person who installed it) iv been following the instructions from
the internets but i just cant get the task sequence to fire off i keep getting failed.
here is my log file > (sorry its long) but i would be eternally gratful for any assistance in finding out the root cause of my misery.

    Hi,
Yes, the client need to be able to ping MP server using FQDN(servername.domainname.com).

  • How to call a sequence in a new thread from C++ dll

Here is what I am trying to do:
I implemented a dll that monitors network traffic, and it also supports message handlers that can be triggered when a specific message has been received. Essentially the receipt of a message is like an event causing additional code to be executed. What I need to do is have the message handler in the dll call/execute a sequence (either is the same sequence file that originally called the dll, or in a different sequence file). Also I want the sequence to be executed within the same execution object for the purpose of result collection and report generation. I am expecting the dll to have to launch a new thread to call a sequence because of the asynchronous nature of the message received event.
There are easier ways to achieve the same result, but one of my goals is to make it easy for a test developer to configure a message handler, by having only one step in their sequence to configure the message handler. I want the rest to be transparent to the user.
I am unsure about how to implement this feature, so I am asking for any examples, ideas, comments before I start trying things out.

Assuming that I understand your question correctly, it would seem to be the best way to do this would be to pass the Execution object to the DLL (either through a direct pass of the Execution object or passing the sequence context, from which you can get the Execution).  Then simply call Execution.NewThread, specifying the SequenceFile object (accessible from Engine.GetSequenceFileEx) and then passing the Thread object out as an output.  Your sequence file in which your DLL is called could then simply have a Wait step which is configured to wait on that Thread object.  What happens in this case is that the results are collected for that thread (which is being executed asynchronously) and returned as the results for the Wait step.
Although you are probably not using LabVIEW, I have attached an example of this in LabVIEW that might be helpful just for seeing the flow.

  • File Adpater Module Configuration

I have a scenario where i need to send the file to webservices, the file is in xsd:base64 binary format, the file is getting splitting up in the moni inbound message payload,I think this can be rectified by using module conifguration in file adapter by using tranform beam & converting to base64 binary,Can any one please tell me how to use processing sequence & module configuration for base 64 binary.....
    Advance thanks for your help

  • Sequencing Adobe Reader

discovered that v-Adobe Reader fails to open a particular report from a web page.
    Locally installed Reader works well.
I sequenced AR 6 month ago following the instructions on APPV recipes site (one of well known).
Before starting a new sequencing I would like to ask a suggestion/s.
I found instructions on Adobe site (updated Dec 2014). Can somebody review if all this should be done because they refer to appv 4.6 and I am running 5 sp2 HF5.
The most important for me points are 2, 19 and 26. Sure that we don't have Q: but PVD that I place on C:\Folder
The original link to official Adobe APPV deployment is here:
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/AdminGuide/appv.html
My goal is to make fully enabled READER. Probably, before clicking I finished I will double check all preferences.
    Thanks.
    Creating an App-V package¶
Administrators can create their own App-V Reader package from scratch. Alternatively, use the Pkg Accelerator as described in
    Using the Pkg Accelerator.
    Sequencing Adobe Reader XI¶
Prepare the sequencing machine following the guidelines provided in Microsoft’s
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd351420.aspx.
    Note
Failure to adhere to the best practices and following guidelines can cause errors in functionality. You may find it worthwhile to follow the MS example in Microsoft’s
    http://download.microsoft.com/download/F/7/8/F784A197-73BE-48FF-83DA-4102C05A6D44/App-V/App-V%204.6%20Service%20Pack%201%20Sequencing%20Guide.docx.
To prepare a reference machine for sequencing:
    Install the App-V Sequencer.
    Configure the registry:
    Go to HKLM\Software\Microsoft\SoftGrid\4.5\SystemGuard\Overrides.
    Create a DWORD EnableVFSPassthrough.
    Set the value to 1.
    Start the Microsoft Sequencer.
Select  Create a new Virtual Application Package > Create Package.
    Choose  Next.
If there are any warnings on the  Prepare Computer screen, take the needed actions to correct them.
    Choose  Next.
On the  Type of Application screen, select
Standard Application as the default type.
    Choose  Next.
On the  Select Installer screen, enter the path to your product installation files.
    Choose  Next.
In the  Package Name screen, enter an application name (such as Adobe Reader XI) in the
    Virtual Application field.
In the Installation screen, change  INSTALLDIR to Q:\<Package
Name> (such as Adobe Reader XI), and follow the installation steps.
After the installation completes, check  I am finished installing.
    Choose  Next.
After the application collects the system changes, choose  Next.
In the Configure screen, run Adobe Reader XI to complete first run tasks such as accepting the EULA.
Review the Installation Report which detects common sequencing issues during sequencing.
On the Customize screen choose  Customize:
    Choose  Edit Shortcuts.
On the Edit Shortcuts screen, choose  Add.
Browse to each the following (change the path as needed) and choose
    Save:
    Q:\<Package Name>\Reader\Reader\AdobeCollabSync.exe
    Q:\<Package Name>\Reader\Reader
    \AcroRd32Info.exe
    Q:\<Package Name>\Reader\Reader\PDFPrevHndlrShim.exe
Edit the versions of all the four exes from 11.0.0.379 to 11.0.0.
    Choose  Next without further customizations.
In the Prepare for Streaming screen, run the application to create the primary feature block. Feature block 1 and Feature block 2 are required:
Feature Block 1: The minimum necessary block of data required for successful launch
Feature Block 2: Streamed to the client PC as the user starts using the application
As each application shuts down, choose  Next.
On Restrict Operating Systems for this package screen, select the operating systems on which this package should work.
    Choose  Next.
Save the package by clicking on Create button.
    Close the package.
Open all of the OSD files in a text editor and do the following:
For each OSD, change the value of LOCAL_INTERACTION_ALLOWED tag from FALSE to TRUE under the <POLICIES> tag.
Add the following policies in all of the OSD files under the <POLICIES> tag:
    <VIRTUAL_FILE_SYSTEM_PASS_THROUGH>TRUE</VIRTUAL_FILE_SYSTEM_PASS_THROUGH>
    <VIRTUAL_REGISTRY_PASS_THROUGH>TRUE</VIRTUAL_REGISTRY_PASS_THROUGH>
    <ENFORCE_ACLS_ON_VREG_MODIFY>TRUE</ENFORCE_ACLS_ON_VREG_MODIFY>
Optional (This step is only needed when there will be both a local Acrobat and App-V Reader on the system): Remove the following lines from the Reader XI OSD:
    <FILEEXTENSION EXT="pdf" PROGID="AcroExch.Document.11" PERCEIVEDTYPE="" CONTENTTYPE="application/pdf" OVERRIDDEN="FALSE">
    <SHELLNEW ENABLED="FALSE"/>
    </FILEEXTENSION>
    Save the OSD files.
Launch the Sequencer and Reopen the package in Edit Mode.
    Choose the OSD tab.
From all the OSDs except Adobe Reader XI, remove all the shortcuts under MGMT_SHORTCUTLIST element.
    Disable updates:
Go to the Virtual Registry System.
    Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Adobe\Adobe
    Acrobat\11.0\FeatureLockDown.
Create a new DWORD called bUpdater.
    Set the value to 0.
Save the package so that the changes are saved in the manifest file.
--- When you hit a wrong note its the next note that makes it good or bad. --- Miles Davis

I'd recommend that you don't follow that recipe as there's a lot there that's App-V 4.6 specific BUT, having said that, point # 32 is still relevant (setting bUpdater to 0)
    Also, see this - https://support.microsoft.com/kb/2900929
Aaron Parker has delved very deeply into the deployment of Acrobat Reader in an enterprise environment so you will find a lot of good info on settings etc here: http://stealthpuppy.com/adobe-reader-xi-deployment/
So you didn't have any luck troubleshooting the web page / report problem?

  • How to fail the task sequence if an MDT variable is not populated?

We are deploying Windows 7 using ConfigMgr 2012 SP1 CU3 integrated with MDT 2012 Update 1 using the MDT database locations table to populate the MachineObjectOU MDT variable.
Currently the "Apply Network Settings" task will read the MachineObjectOU variable and add the computer account to the OU returned by the MDT database query.  If no value is returned it will not domain join the computer, instead it continues
the task sequence and configures the machine as a workgroup machine.
I would like the task sequence to fail if the MachineObjectOU variable is not populated by the MDT database query instead of continuing as a workgroup build.  What is the easiest way to do this?
    Thanks!
    FP

    I agree.
I would write a script that reads the Variable and checks that it has a valid content.
If it doesnt i would return an exitcode from my script and have the TS fail on that

  • SCCM 2012 Task Sequence Failure 0x8007000e

I have an SCCM 2012 RTM setup that was previously working fine. Now it will not Deploy any task sequences at all giving me the error 0x800700e. I have read up on this error and it seems to be that there is not enough disk space.
1 TB is not enough? We all got issues then. I know this isnt the problem. I read on technet that it may be because of the updates being too large. I have disabled the updates. Same problems. This happens with any deployment or capture using TS. Even the
ones that have worked fine for ages.
The only change I have made is installing MDT and uninstalling it makes no difference at all.

This issue is not solely related to windows updates.  I am getting the same thing while trying to deploy a package via OSD Task sequence.  The app installs but will report a 7000e error.  It is a small test ts that id made so I can mimic the
actual osd steps and I disable successful steps so I can then troubleshoot the broken steps.  Now I am down to the last one.  My next step will be to create it as an application and test that way.  Was hoping to simply hammer out some quick
OSD only based items as packages instead of Applications.
    Any help would be appreciated.

  • How i create a simple sequence in OWB (Example)

    Hi,
i want create an simple sequence in OWB. But how i make a simple sequence in the oracle data Warehouse Builder.
Until now i goes into expression Builder of the sequence.
    where already written is:
    *"SEQ_ACCOUNT".NEXTVAL*
so my idea was to write behind this start with 1 increment by 1
    also looks it practically so
    *"SEQ_ACCOUNT".NEXTVAL start with 1 increment by 1*
but this doesn´t work. But was is wrong?
Can me give anyone an concrete example for a simple sequence or show how it must write that it will be correct.
I look forward for your replies :)

I have found the solution for this problem :) To create a seqeunce goes to sequences in project explorer ---> new sequences ---> give name and bla bla bla --> right click on to created sequence and choose confiugre. Here you can under sequence parameter configure things as Increment By and Start with But how goes it into expression builder of a sequence?
