Sequence of users in one form?

Given that the EULA states we can have up to 500 unique users submitting a populated form - what happens if a user completes it partially, then sends it to another user who finishes it and submits - does that count as two users when the form is submitted?
The context: we have a work request form, whose first page is filled out by a requestor, then the form is forwarded to a manager who submits it.

Thanks for the helpful tips. However, I tried to apply the same technique to LC ES version and it does not seem to like the part of concatenate the email and the process keep stalling with the below error.

My problem is when any user use one form same time other user can not use that form

User Create/Manage Form - how to set tab sequence

hi all,
I'm trying to set the tab seq of the oim user create/manage form such that after 'Last Name' it goes to the UDF 'Date of Birth'. So far I have tried setting the order and as well as the setting it in the formmetadata.xml with not luck.

How can different people work on different tabs of one form

Dear OTN Users,
We are developing Client-Server application using D2K tools.
We are using the new feature TAB of Forms 5.0 in our current
development.
We are currently have 10 or 12 tabs per form in our application
and we need different people to work on it during development.
How to over come the error of one's work overwriting other's work.
All of them will be working on different tabs.

It's a really bad idea to have more than one person working on a
single Form at one time. However, if you must...
Try getting everything in the Form, except for your tabs,
working first. Then take 12 copies of your Form (one for each
tab) and give a copy to each of the 12 developers. Make sure
that they name any objects that they create uniquely: this
includes any blocks, procedures, tab canvases etc - nominate one
person as 'design master' and make sure that anyone clears any
new object names with the design master before creating them.
When they have finished developing and testing their code
individual for each of the single tab Forms, get someone to
create a thirteenth Form, and then merge in all the objects
created for the first tab. You can do this relatively easily by
opening two Forms at the same time, and dragging the items from
one Form to another.
If you're feeling really clever, and you will have lot of
maintenance to do on the Form, then you could reference the
objects rather than copy them: in this case you would need to
keep your 13 forms in perpetuity, but you could have parallel
maintenance going on. However you decide to do it, be sure that
you have a comprehensive test plan!
You will find that you may save some time in this way, but it
will take more man-hours (though less elapsed time) to develop
the Form in this way, than by having a single person develop the
whole Form.

I've tried both. First, I tried on my pc, where iTunes had installed iCloud when it last updated. I have iTunes installed on this computer (and on my iPad and iPhone), but that wasn't the issue.
So I went online, thinking I needed a separate iCloud Apple ID, but it prompted me for my current Apple ID and gave me the message about my ID being "valid" but not an iCloud account," which, lol, was what it had asked me to do in order to create one. How can others open more than one form? [Was: Sandra]

How do you use Forms Central? I am the only account that can open more than one form. I have added all the people in contacts. When they login, they have the upgrade option for more than one form. We have an order number and end user id. Thanks for the help.

It sounds like you have a paid account and the other users have free accounts.
You will have to share the form with the other users, please see this link for more detailed on how to share a form with others:

All the free account users should be able to open all the forms that you have shared with them. Free users can only create one form on their own.

How do you create a form that has user permissions per form field for different user?

I need to create a form that is used by multi people but each user needs to fill out different fields within the form. I need the first user to make selections from a list and save it to send to another (the selection fields then need to be locked). Then the other user checks one of the selections made by the first user and saves the document to send back to the first user. Not sure if this is possible. I would like the first form field selections not to even show as a highlighted field to the other user (like just be more like a text field). I want the document to be able to be used more than once. The list selections will change and need to be sent to the other user at least once a month or more. Has anyone done this?

There's no built-in way to do that, but it's probably doable using a custom-made script to hide and/or lock the fields.

We are using it for our department and it would be great to see who created what form instead of it being all one name.

Each person should have their own account. You can easily share the forms with other people in your department. You will be able to see who the author of the form is.

I have a user-password screen in one form. And every module has separate form. I need to pass user-name and user-level to all the form.

Multiple Select boxes in one form

Does anyone know if it is possible to have multiple select
boxes inside one form? I have six different select boxes that are
generated by six separate queries. The action page for all six
select boxes is the same so I just want one submit button so users
don't get confuse. I don't want to cluster up the page with submit
buttons but I may resort to that option.
My problem is the select boxes generate a number and when
that number is submitted I want to pass two other variables with it
to the action page. I tried putting a "Form" tag around the 6
select boxes. Inside each select box I tried to add an "Input
type="hidden"" and give thte name and values that I needed. That
worked for the first select box but when I tried the second select
box it used the hidden values for the first select box.
If anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it. Or if you
have any other suggestions I am open to any.

On the action page I need the below IF statement to work so

Sequence Number Generation in XML Form Buider??????

Hi All,
I want to generate some Sequence Number for each XML Form Generated by the XML Form Builder Application?
Ex: my XML Form Builder Application is "MYAPP". Using this I filled data and Save, then an XML will be created, then it should have some unique Number(say 1234), then if I fill the differennt Data and Save, then another XML will be created. For this the Number should be 1235, next 1236, ........
I can use the XML Form ID, but that is not User friendly format. Becaz I need to display this Number to the End User.
(Example: 10b2ae7b-e269-2b10-d88e-ddade2e62015.xml)
If anybody have idea on this, Please guide me...

Ok I tried it in a button-trigger and it worked.
one more I learened:
DDL (Data Definition Language) commands like CREATE, DROP and ALTER are not directly supported from Forms because your Forms are not suppose to manipulate the database structure.
A statement like CREATE TABLE X (A DATE); will result in error:
Encountered the symbol "CREATE" which is a reserved word.
However, you can use the FORMS_DDL built-in to execute DDL statements. Eg:
FORMS_DDL('CREATE TABLE X (A DATE)');
FORMS_DDL can also be used to create dynamic SQL statements at runtime. The FORMS_SUCCESS built-in can be used to determine if the last executed built-in was successful.

Based on your descritpion, you create a SQL database with WEB edition and try to connect to the MASTER database from Windows Azure Management portal. But it is failed with "Sequence contains more than one matching element" occasionally.

As for drop login, it may caused by the premssion. In SQL databae, only server-level principal login (created by the provisioning process) or the credentials of an existing member of the "loginmanager" database role can manage logins. If you are not use
a server-level principal login, please ask the adminstrator add the login to loginmanager databaserole:

I am creating a sign-up form for users of a website - i need
them to select from a number of categories that they want to be
listed in. i am using a series of check boxes for them to select
the categories. What i want to do is create a separate record in my
MySQL DB for each check box that is ticked that contains the user
ID and the category ID. is there a way to do this from just one
form?

You can save them in a SET column. A SET column type allows
you to store
up to 64 predefined values in a single column.
Create the checkbox group as an array by adding square
brackets to the
end of the name value like this:
<input type="checkbox" name="category[]" value="catA"

<input type="checkbox" name="category[]" value="catC"
/>
To insert the values in a SET column, use implode() to create
a
comma-separated string:
