Hi
I am doing XML Report in Oracle Apps.
For that i need sequence with in sequence.
I am able to do sequence using the below code.

but my problem is for every department the sequence must start with 1..
Ex.

Sequence pass/fail variable for csv report

I need to write a small CSV file with my sequence test results. The way I am considering doing this is to
save the information I need as the test progresses in local, file, or station global variables
make a report string using the values stored in these variables, and
write the string to a file via a LabVIEW VI.
Is this a reasonable way to do it? In which variable does the overall UUT pass/fail result get stored?

I recommend against doing it this way. What you want to do defeats the entire purpose of using TestStand in the first place.
If you are using a newer version of TestStand (2012 or newer) I would create a custom plugin to do exactly what you are doing.
There is a ton of information out there on plugins.

The advantage of using a plugin is that now all tests can utilize it as opposed to the report generation being specific to a single test.

No Audio in Master Sequence with nested sequences

I have tried searching for a solution but cant find anything the same as this.
I have several sequences with multi track edits in them (not multi camera but on diffeent video and audio tracks)
I have dropped these sequences into a master sequence, they line up perfectly, but when I play them, the video is fin, but there is no audio. the individual sequences have audio without any probelm.
I have not done any audio editing in the sequences yet, just assembled the visual edit with the orignial audio tracks attached.
I klnow I must be missing a step or doing something wrong, but can't figure it out!

Not muted. All plays well in Source Monitor but dragging from Source to Timeline only brings video. Same for dragging from Project to Timeline.
This morning I tried "New sequence From Clip" on a sequence from the Project Window. This works but then requires an extra step of copying from the newly generated Sequence to my "Master" sequence. Intuitively it seems like the other methods should work. I should be able to Import project files containing all the required sequences and then from the Project window drag each of those sequences to a master timeline. Am I incorrect in my assumption on this workflow?

How can i use FNDLOAD for XML reports and data defnitions

I registerd concurrent program and linked xml reports and data defnitions in staging instance, and successfully moved to DEV.. after that stage is refreshed and when i download the details from DEV and uploaded to Stage only concurrent program i can upload...Wheteher we can use FNDLOAD Command for the Data definitions or Data template for the XML Report,used FNDLOAD for the concurrent program, it uploaded only concurrent program details.

For xml reports in ebs, if default font is not found, what does OPP do?

If the OPP is unable to locate a font file while merging an XML report in EBS R12.1.3 running on AIX (BI Version 5.6.3), what does it do? Is there a default set somewhere, and if so, can it be changed? Can it be changed only at the site level, or at the indvidual template level? Is there just one default or can you specify a different default for each font? Is there anyway to force the merge to error if the requested font is not found?

Defining a query with characteristic 0BCS_TASK for Status Reporting

Hello,
there is a new characteristic available for Status Reporting called 0BCS_TASK. In the master data of that info object we defined all possible tasks. Now i want to recreate a query but showing just the tasks from the Consmonitor and sorted like they are arranged in the Consmonitor. Is there a way how to do it as i want? Can use 0BCS_TASK within a structure and the entries i want to show as a selection?
I tried it with a Structure and and had the values of that charcteristic as a Selction but it did not work.

Anyway, some feedback from our project - we decided not to use this status report funcitonality for the following reasons:
1. The interested parties have access to the monitor (UCMON) and understand it well enough to gauge progress from there without needing a separate report
2. If required they could use Print (Ctrl+P) then System---> List --> Save --> Local File --> to export to .txt or .xls
(NB it really isn't required here so make sure this method would meet your requirements first)
Then we saved the effort and maintenance of building the new infoprovider and queries.

720 480 sequence with square pixels for web delivery only

i'm on fcp 5.0.4. i've done some text qt exports and all seems to be fine, just want to double-check here. i am editing a sequence of stills. i want my seq settings to be 720x480 square pixels (you can choose 'custom' for this but it will change back to ntsc dv 3:2) because i like the 1.5 (720x480) pixel aspect ratio.
usually when i do 720x480 projects i'm working with dv/non-square footage and when i export for web use i'll choose the 640x480 setting so that it displays correctly on computers.
so the question is: any foreseeable trouble with my using 720x480 with square pixels seq settings if i want to export a qt at those same specs, and it's NOT going to broadcast, just web delivery?
i'm also using compressor - jpeg as part of seq settings unless someone can tell me there's a better compressor to use. (yes i know tiffs would be better but am using jpegs here.)

Yes, there are foreseeable problems of applications assuming that your 720x480 video should have D1-sized pixels, as you've already experienced.
But once you finally end up with a 720x480 square pixel QuickTime movie that you are going to embed into a web page it should play properly.
Just make sure you host the video yourself so you can control its presentation. I bet if you upload it to Vimeo or YouTube those services would also reasonably assume that your video had non-square pixels.

AE crash after importing premiere sequence with trimmed r3ds. (Bug report)

(all tested in premiere and AE cs6, up to date from creative cloud) Hello, I have RED footage raw as r3ds, that I have edited in premiere. If I try to send that to after effects in premiere, or if I try to import the sequence directly through AE, The machine continually locks up over and over again until I close out the application. I have figured out potentially what is wrong and I have figured out an annoying work around.
I believe what the problem is, is that after effects is having a hard time reading the renamed and trimmed r3d clip. Point being, if I hit caps lock disabling preview, I can right click on the RED footage that was imported from premiere, and reveal in explorer (or finder for Mac, and yes, I have tested this on both OS) Then drag the original footage back into after effects, and then alt drag and replace the footage that is trimmed in the AE sequence, and lastly delete the premiere versions of the RED clips, then I can use it just fine. No more lagging, all is well.
This is a huge pain in the butt...Can this bug PLEASE be looked into for AE CC or Premiere CC whichever is causing the problem. It is very useful to cut in premiere and keylight/ special effects in AE. But this workaround is quite a time saver.
Can anyone else confirm this issue? I hgave confirmed it on a mac and a PC of cs6.
And if anyone has an easier workaround, that would also be appreciated, although, this was the quickest work around I could come up with.

I have found another fix, which is much easier! But yes this is still broken and must be fixed. After you import the RED footage from the preiere file, with caps lock on, right click on the red footage and go to interpret footage> Main. At the bottome of the window that pops up, click more options, which should bring up the RED R3D Source settings. This is blank, with no video attatched...all you do is click reload from RMD, and the problem is solved.
This is still a massive pain, Can anyone from adobe confirm this problem, and confirm this work around?

Timed sequence with individuality for case structures

Hello All
The attached vi is one that I found by trolling on the forum, and made some slight modifications to it.
If you look at the BD, you can see that the timing between the action of each case structure is the same.
I would like to modify it even further and have each case structure have its' own individual time control.
I can do this by using a sequence and place a wait in each frame.
Would this method be both suitable and the simplest ( I have been giving some thought to using one case structure, but this solution eludes me at the moment)

How to specify page encoding for XML reports.

Environment: Apps:11.5.10, Oracle Reports: 10g
I'm trying to generate XML tags by using a "rdf" report (10g).
Initially I generated the XML tags before moving the report to server. In the output file I got
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="WINDOWS-1252"?>
Then I moved the report to server and made the concurrent program output to XML.
In the concurrent program output the tag is
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="&Encoding"?>
The output shows error

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="&Encoding"?>
Its clear that there is something wrong with page encoding format which has to get assigned while run time. But its not happening so.
How to specify the page encoding format?
Any help would be appreciated.

Remove the encoding so it says:
<?xml version="1.0"?>
Also, you will get a similar error if your xml tags for fields contain any special characters like & or #.

PDF Template for XML Report

We are trying to create a PDF Template for an XML Publisher Report using Adobe Acrobat Profession Version. The PDF Template works fine for one employee but when the start and end body tags are inserted in the template, the concurrent process to submit this reports completes in warning.

Unable to see EXCEL output for xml report--browser issues?

hi i have created and registered an xml publisher report.
i want to see the out put in Excel format.When i run the report i get junk data as output.
is there any profile setting or viewer profiles that i need to change to view the output in excel.
i can see excel output on standalone version when i load the data into template and look for the excel output.
i cant see the same when i run the program through apps.
Can any one help me regarding this.

"disk full" message? when exporting 60fps sequences with "match sequence settings"?

Hi, I have searched the forums for this subject and found many discussions that went in different directions but no solutions or input from Adobe.
Summarizing,
everything exports well, both directly from PremPro CS6 and from AME (all input files (like 720p or 1080 p .mts AVCHD or .mp4 H264), all sequence settings, all export settings (like H264, 30 fps, 60 fps)
EXCEPT "match sequence settings" for 60 fps 1080p or 720p AVCHD footage, THEN you get the message "Disk full" after 10-20 seconds.
Of course, the disc is not full, there are no applied effects, and it worked well in CS5.5!!
So, Adobe, what can be done about this, no update yet??

Thanks for the reply.
My cache files are stored on a secondary (7200rpm) 1 TB disc
So are the preview files, render files and the source files, but there are no render or preview files, I just put the footage on the timeline in a "new sequence from clip" (which was AVCHD 1080p 60fps .mts file) and tried to export without editing.
I tried to export to this disc and also to the C: disc but got the same message:"Error compiling movie. Disc Full".
If I made the sequence 30 fps the "match sequence settings" export worked well.
I can export n H264.mp4 format at 60fps but I would like to just trim the clips in the timeline and save them without much loss for later editing.

Issue in PDF output for xml report

Hi,
I developed one template in RTF and output in pdf is looks fine.
I have issue in the output, For some invoices i have more lines,when the line details comes to next page for the same invoice i can able to view only the lines information in the next pages for the same invoice without any header details.
I need header information too if the lines comes to the next page.
i given <G_Headers> in the top of the page and <End for each> in the end of the page.
please how to resolve this issue.

There are lot of ways of doing this,
Simple one is given here.
If you are using table to display the rows, there is option in word table properties, to repeat the header in each page,
Repeating table headers
If your data is displayed in a table, and you expect the table to extend across
multiple pages, you can define the header rows that you want to repeat at the start
of each page.
1. Select the row(s) you wish to repeat on each page.
2. From the Table menu, select Heading Rows Repeat
