Serching for a package in Repositories

Ok don't beat me, I've read the man page but I can't manage how to search for a package giving a string to pacman. For example, if I want to search all packages in db that contains *xfce*, what should I do?

10.8.2 update: can't install "error occurred while evaluating Javascript for the package"

Greetings All-
I'm trying to update from 10.8.1 to 10.8.2 on my Macbook Air. When I downloaded the .dmg from Apple and ran it, I got the following error:
"OS X Update Can't be installed on this disk. An error occurred while evaluating JavaScript for the package."
So far, I've done the following, all to no avail:
(1) Updated Java to v7 per Java's website, no change
(2) Downloaded the 10.8.2 combo update, no change
(3) Found Apple's OS X Java update (which is still at v6)- get an error at install that "the contents of the disk can't be changed"
(4) Restarted at each step
Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas?

Pkgman - a bash script for local package and PKGBUILD management

hi all,
here is a script which manages a local repository and lets you edit
PKGBUILDs and other related files, automatically generates checksums,
build packages, add them to your local repo and so on.
it also has AUR support for submitting tarballs, leaving comments, etc.

you need abs, curl and pacman and optionally namcap and desktop-file-utils.

first of all copy the pkgman.conf and AUR.conf files from /usr/share/pkgman to ~/.config/pkgman/ or ${XDG_CONFIG_HOME}/pkgman - if ${XDG_CONFIG_HOME} is set,
edit these two files and then run
pkgman --runmefirst
pkgman doesn´t install anything. if you want it just builds the package and moves it to your local repository. install it then with pacman.
it also has no dependency handling. there are many other tools which provide this.
the main intention was to keep track of package versions, different PKGBUILD versions and own AUR submitted tarballs; also to keep a clean local repository and clean build directories.
pkgman is stable now. i´m using it for months without any issues.
however, if there are problems or feedback please post them here.

Trying to install Support for DTS packages in SQL server 2008

Hi all
I am trying to follow the instructions in the following link...

...to install support for DTS packages - when it says on the Feature Selection page, select Integration Services - none of the installs I have tried show this as an option - what should I be installing in order to see this and get this feature installed?
I just need to be able to view some DTS packages - help!

Acrobat Pro XI crashes when 'Save As' is used for a package that had been edited?

We have a package that is opened, edited and then we try to use 'Save As' to save it and Acrobat Pro XI crashes. No error codes are displayed and nothing is logged in any event log.
Our work around - First save the package in the final distination folder then open it, edit it and save it.
Is there a known issue with using the 'Save As' option for a package?

No. The last version to include Rh for Word was Rh10. Is there a specific reason for wanting to stick with Rh for Word? There is a learning curve with Rh HTML but it shouldn't be too difficult.

Portal Run time error when created a seperate role for Transport package.

Hi Experts,
I have created a seperate role for Transport Package(import/export iviews).
Normally we have transport package functionality in system admin.
Below steps i followed for creating the new role(trans admin)
1.Copied SAP provided system admin role to a seperate folder.
2.Deleted reamining portal objects(like UWL, portal display etc ..) except transport packege workset.
3.Renamed the role to trans admin.
I have assigned that role to my self, it is working fine to me when i clcik on export and import.I have super admin role.
when i assign this role to some portal users, Export is not working.
when user clicks on Export role they are getting below error.

Hi,
When the load is not getiing processed due to huge volume of data, or more number of records per data packet, Please try the below option.
1) Reduce the IDOC size to 8000 and number of data packets per IDOC as 10. This can be done in info package settings.
2) Run the load only to PSA.
3) Once the load is succesfull , then push the data to targets.
In this way you can overcome this issue.
You can also try RSCUSTV* where * is an integer to change data load settings.
Change Datapackage size for extraction, use Transaction RSCUSTV6.
Change Datapackage size when upload from an R/3 system, set this value in R/3 Customizing (SBIW -> General settings -> Control parameters for data transfer).
IN R/3, T-Code SBIW --> Genaral settings --> Maintain Control Parameters for Data Transfer (source system specific)

We are getting the below error.
"Maximum package size for data packages was exceded".
In our scenario we are loading the data product key wise (which is a semantic key as well) to the DSO thro’ a start routine.
The logic in the start routine is such a way that it calculates the unique product counts , product key wise. Hence we are trying to
group the product key thro’ semantic groups.
Ex: In this example the product counts should be A = 1,B=2 ,C = 1

For some product keys the data is so huge that we could not load the data & we are getting the error.
Please suggest any alternate way to handle this thro’ code or introducing any other flow.

Modify roidocprms from table z_roidocprms .
2 close program
data: z_roidocprms like table of roidocprms.
data: wa like line of z_roidocprms.
wa-slogsys = 'syetm_client' . wa-maxsize = '50000'. wa-statfrqu = '10'.
wa-maxprocs = '6'. wa-maxlines = '50000'.
insert wa into table z_roidocprms.
modify roidocprms from table z_roidocprms .

I am facing this problem "Maximum package size for data packages was exceeded". When I am trying to laod. I even tried to reduce data packet and change DTP settings in EXtraction to Get All New Data Request by Request but still same error is occuring. Can u Plz focus light on this.

Global Defined Table - Existing for single package only or for all package

Hi Folks,
I got a question around global fields in start routines of transformations.
Lets say I have defined in the global section a table that should hold some lookup values retrieved in the start routine (e.g. material attributes for all material number entries in the data package). Later this table is used in the transformation to "fill fields" for the target cube.
Will this table be "initiated" for every package so it will hold only the data the start routine put there.
Or is it "existing" throughout the whole update process and every new package will "add" records there so overtime it will grow from package to package?

Use a simple trick to get around.
IF sy-uzeit < 060000.
load_date = sy-datum - 1.
ELSE.
load_date = sy-datum.
ENDIF.

I want to send Net Weight for all packages to Requisite

Currently the Each is the only package that has the true net weight. The net weight for the other package levels contains the gross weight. So Users are manually setting the correct net weight.
Here I want to Change the interface program to send the net weight for all packages not just the sales unit (Each).
So can any body tell me, what i need to do here..
