Serial number control

I want to have a control on not receiving a return on a serial number which I have not sold before. How can I do this? Is there a user exit? Also I don't want to be able to sell a serial number from the consignment stock which I have not sent to the customer'sconsignment stock. How can I have those controls?

Select serial number profile which you speciefied in material master i.g. 0002, then click on serialization pricedure(at left side),
Now in pront of procedure SDRE (MAINTAIN RETURN DELIVERY) maintain as 01 (None).
it means when u create return delivery system never generates serial number.
For second one explore serial number in inventory management.

Using Shipping API, how can I update the serial number in the order lines for a particular item where the quantity is more than 1?
The serial numbers are present in a random order in mtl_serial_number table.

Mover Order API Serial Number

Hi All,
We have managed to create a sales order and pick release, the status of the line is "Released To Warehouse" with the next stage "Transact Move Order". Some of the items on the sales order are serial number controlled (serial numbers are generated upon receipt from purchase order), hence why the move order has not completed as it requires the serial numbers to be enetered to complete. I can manually do this via the move orders form and can see when I do this that the serial numbers are updated into mrl_serial_numbers_temp, query below for reference.

I guess, its not the same transaction_temp_id from MTL_MATERIAL_TRANSACTIONS_TEMP

Table containing link between material document and serial number.

Hello.
In connection with a goods receipt for purchase order in transaction MIGO a material that is serial number controlled is being recevied. The transaction allows the user to seach and use a serial number. The user then posts the goods receipt for the purchase order and a material document is created (entry in table MSEG).
With this entry in MSEG as a starting point, I have to find the serial number that the user selected when posting the goods receipt. I have been looking in thse tables EKPO, RESB, RSDBS, AFPO, EBAN, RKPF, MSEG and MKPF, but none of them has the serial number used. Would anyone be of assistance.

MSEG-MBLNR = SER03-MBLNR + MSEG-MJAHR = SER03-MJAHR + MSEG-ZEILE = SER03-ZEILE
- SER03 & OBJK to read the serial number
Read OBKNR from SER03 with the above link & pass the same to OBJK table here you can get the serial number (OBJK-SERNR)

Where did you buy the machine? An Apple store, an authorized reseller, or ??
Also, what is the model/identifier? Is it the latest or was it purchased used?

sometimes the "opm.db file" is the culprit. In this case you should delete it.
But as much as I regret it and as strange as it may seem I fear it's a challenge for Adobe's Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool.
Sometimes - for whatever reasons - CC doesn't "want" to work. In this case you should CC completely delete and reinstall by help of Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool. (A try to uninstall by own resources is not enough!)

It asks for the serial number and says that my trial has expired. It rejects the serial number from the Adobe case saying "This Serial Number is not valid for this product". It thinks that I still have the expired Trial Version installed. How do I convince it (the program) that the Trial Version is long gone and the currently installed product was installed with a valid and accepted serial number????

I have some concern about set article as the requirement for sale set my company would like to control inventory at component level and at the component level we required to control batch and serial number.
So, when posting GR of sale set article system will auto split material to control inventory at component level with MVT 319 and in this step should possible to manual define serial number for component.
Example
Header Sale Set A (Activate valuation type)
Comp1 : B (Activate serial number and control serial number during GR ref PO , control Batch)
Comp2 : C (Control Batch)
GR : Header Sale Set A
Expected Solution : System should automatic to split to comp1 and comp2 , for Comp1 B will require to input serial number.
Fact : During testing, system auto split to comp1 and comp2 for comp1 I can input serial number but after save the serial number that I input are gone.

Batch control without serial number

Hello,
I am just a beginner and i need some professionals' help
I want to ask you about batch control. For our system, we need 3 batch types for some materials. In fact its about PM scenario.
This material are repairable fixed assets. We dont need to follow their serial number but we want to know how many "NEW" or "DEFECTIVE" or "REPAIRED" material i've got in my storage locations or on plant.
IS a BOM structure is suitable for me, or what can i use for this situation?

You can use batch management for this. A couple of ideas:
1. Use the batch name to designate the status - i.e. simply create three batches:
NEW
DEFECTIVE
REPAIRED
This is OK unless you need tio really track batches - i.e. real batch numbers
This is a simple solution - and provides easy reporting on how much is in each batch.
2. Assign a characteritic (i.e. in batch classification) to the material for class (022 or 023 dependeing on batch level).
The characteristic would have the allowed values:
NEW
DEFECTIVE
REPAIRED
You may need a custom report in this case.
You don't need a BOM - this is unrelated.

Unable to update the serial number through bdc in Sales Order

Hi experts,
I written the inboud FM for to update the 3rd party items serial number to the sales orders through BDC Call transaction Method.
Here i am facing a problem when i have the 19 item Quan ,it is updating correct through idoc , when ever there is moe than 19 and at that if any serial number repeated for that if i am changing at that time it is loosing the control of the BDC and giving the control to the salesorder screen.
how can i handle that control again has to come to BDC prgrm......

In Design CS2 won't accept serial number during "Personalization" In Design

Re: InDesignCS2 rejects the serial number provided for CS2 special "no-activation" versions.
I am having an identical set of issues as outlined in the above discussion but I am using Windows 7.
My hard disk died and I am simply trying to get back up to speed with the new one. I have Creative Suite 2 Premium. Following the special instructions for moving certain files so that I wouldn't have the Insert Disk 2 problems I managed to get PhotoShop actuvated and running. However, I am unable to "personalize" InDesign because the system does not like the serial number. I have tried the one that came on the original box and the one that was on the link I used to download the programs. Both with and without the hyphens.
I have also been unable to uninstall InDesign and start over as the wizard was interrupted just as it was described above.
I have followed the instructions on the link you provided to manually remove CS2: Manually remove Adobe Creative Suite 2.x | Windows Including attempting to uninstall Creative Suite. However, Adobe InDesign CS2, Adobe Illustrator CS2, and Adobe SVG Viewer 3 still appear in the list of programs and for some reason cannot be uninstalled using the control panel.
In looking at the files that are still on the computer I see a folder C:\Creative Suite CS2. It has folders in it for PhotoShop, Illustrator, and Version Cue plus some other stuff. I was able to delete each of the files individually. but when I attempt to delete Illustrator, I get an error message saying that it can't be deleted because a folder or file is open in another application. When I attempt to uninstall that one using the control panel I get a message saying the remover was interrupted before it could finish.
I haven't even gotten to the part of the instructions where you remove things from the registry!
Any thoughts on where to go from here?

CS4 suite serial number does not work for Adobe Acrobat Pro

I am looking for a solution for the serial number issue I am having with Adobe Acrobat Pro. All of other programs within the suite open fine, but when I open Adobe Acrobat Pro it asks for a serial number. When I type in the serial number, I am given a red "X".
I have called customer support, but they haven't been able to give me any information that will resolve my issue (uninstalled 4 times now). I have Vista and have looked online and on the Adobe website to find a solution. It looks like others are having the same issue from what I can tell while searching. I have run the script too and then reinstalled, but still nothing.

After some stupid upgrade in my computer (who knows as Microsoft is always doing something), my Acrobat 9 in CS4 stopped working. The error message said to uninstall and reinstall Acrobat. So I went through the control panel and uninstalled it. I then loaded the CD and reinstalled. However the reinstall would NOT accept the orginal serial number. I called Adobe and they gave me a different serial number. Before I let the guy nof the line I tried the number and it did NOT work! So then he gave me another number which asked for the previous verison- apparently it was an upgrade number. Luckily I had my old CS3 software and I gave it that number and then it accepted the install. The program now works BUT there is no longer any ADD/REMOVE choice in the CS4 suite in the control panel. There is no way to automatically remove this program anymore! What a mess.
After reading some of the installation problems others have had and no solutions, I count myself lucky! At least I was able to get the program running.
Therefore my advise on the serial number problem is to get Adobe on the phonen and get them to give you a number that will work, and don't hang up until you know the program is working!
If anyone knows how to add the Acrobat to the the add/remove functions in the control panel, please let me know!

How do you uninstall Photoshop from one computer and retain the serial number?

I purchased Photoshop CS4 a few years ago which allowed me to use the serial number on two computers, however the initial laptop I installed it on suffered fatal injuries and couldn't be recovered. The problem is that Photoshop is still technically installed on it, therefore the serial number can only be used once more.
I've since bought a new laptop, and PS is installed, but I'm wanting to install it (and use the serial number) on my work computer which the program will not let me do. Is it possible to cancel out the serial number used on that first broken laptop so that I can install it on my newest one?

Usually that kind of thing is possible, but since you no longer have access to the crashed system, it's not something you can do yourself... Only Adobe customer service can help since they control what's activated for your license in their database...
So your best bet is to contact them and see what they can do - for example resetting all activations of your serial number, so you then start over from scratch (and can reactivate as you desire).

How can I enter my serial number to an already installed trial version of photoshop cc?

hi guys, I'm NEW to mac, I'm putting my old serial number from my previous version of photoshop to see if it works on this trial version I have for the iMac. also a few other questions...
WHY is it so hard to just export a psd (photoshop file) as a jpeg? pretty simple on pc, it just doesn't seem to work on this mac version, unless I open the saved jpeg in "preview" duplicate it then save that as a jpeg. then it will work. do I have the settings funky on that or something? it seems like it should be easier.
next question, how do I SLOW DOWN the scroll wheel on the mouse JUST for photoshop? if I slow it down in system preferences it's fine for photoshop, but sucks for the rest of the stuff I do on the mac.

If your version is current you can contact Adobe, give up your old license and get a platform transfer. Apparently free, just not automatic. Not available for older versions; status of CS6 uncertain.
I don't know why your Photoshop JPEGs would be unopenable unless it's a naming thing. Make sure you don't take the .jpg off the name or put anything AFTER, the Mac is very unforgiving of that.
But, while saving as JPEG saves a high quality file for pro use, it isn't best for putting on the web as it's too big. Use Save For Web instead, also gives more control and previews showing the final image quality. But be sure to reduce image size FIRST.
