Serial number on CS4

I deactivated CS4 (for the first time) this morning and this afternoon I installed it on a new PC. The installation went ok and during the installation I had to enter my serial number which worked fine (the green tick appeared). When I now open Photoshop it asks me again for my serial number but this time when I enter the serial number I get the message “serial number invalid”. I tried selecting trial mode and re-entered my serial number on CS4 launch but that didn’t work either.

uninstall everything cs4 on your computer.
clean (Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6)
then reinstall cs4. if your serial number is for a suite, make sure you're installing ps (and your other programs) from the suite installation file.

I tried with cs2 and I got an error message that some bit of information was incorrect. I currently have both downloaded on two other lap tops I own. One is operational and one is dead. I cannot access the dead one to remove the program. Thank you in advance for any assistance.

How can I find the serial number from CS4 for my mac? I remembered it being on the box, but now I can't find it, and they website I thought to have registered it to doesn't recognize the e-mail I would have used then I got it.

I don't know if this is the right place to ask this, but the website recommend I ask here. I bought the CS4 when I bought my macbook pro in when I was in college. I remember there being 2 serial numbers, so I could install to one other computer. That macbook pro finally died, and now I have a new mac which I am trying to re-install the creative suite on, only I can't find the serial number. The two stickers on the back of the CS4 box (which i thought were the serial numbers) don't look like that they're asking for, and the website listed on the inside of the box for me to register to doesn't recognize my e-mail (which hasn't changed since buying CS4). Any idea where I could find the serial number?

If you registered your CS4 software with Adobe then it is likely you can find it thru your Adobe account online.

Serial number of CS4 fails to work with Acrobat.

I bought CS4 from the University of Alberta some years ago. Now I wish to install on anew computer. No problems with AI, ID and PS. Acrobat Pro doesn't accept the serial number. How do I get a valid serial number. The version number is 9.0.0

1.CS3 & above
2. Retail product (purchased for personal usage,with only two installs permitted)
3.It can not be an Adobe product obtained as a bundle pack with purchase of any Electronic Item(e.g computer/printer/camera etc.)

How do you retrieve serial number for CS4? No product info available in my account.

So I own CS4 and I recently backed up my computer and wiped clean of all files and applications and restored it back to factory settings. I forgot to uninstall my software unfortunately but now I can't reinstall because I don't have my serial number. I went into my adobe account and looked up the my products section and there is nothing there. How can I retrieve a serial number so I can reinstall? thanks.

adobe will only have your serial number if you purchased and downloaded your software from them. also, you must use the same adobe id used to make the purchase and check your account.
they might also have it if you registered your software with them. otherwise, they won't have it.

I am trying to reinstall CS4 on my macbook pro and I cannot find my serial number. Can you please help me?
I have DVDs of CS4 in my hand but I cannot seem to find the serial numbers written anywhere.
I had to reinstall my backups to the hard disk and since then, the Acrobat gave be message saying that I should open other Adobe softwares, so I tried opening Photoshop, then it gave me the error 150:30 message. I followed all the steps written on the page instructing how to resolve error 150:30. In the end I uninstalled the whole CS4 and now I cannot reinstall because I cannot find the serial number written anywhere, neither in my DVD case.
I would greatly appreciate for your advise in how I can retrieve my serial number. Thank you.

How can I find the non-truncated serial number of CS4 masters collection installed on my Mac?

I got CS4 Masters Collection about 3 years ago when I was still using a PowerPC G5 Mac. Since then, I've upgraded my setup with Intel machines. I'd like to use Adobe Premiere Pro on my MacBook Pro, as I cannot run it on my G5. I found a download link on Adobe's servers for the old Adobe Premiere CS4 trial, and I downloaded it. Since it isn't installed on the G5, I should be able to use it on my intel machine, right? So I went into Help/System Info on one of the other CS4 apps installed on my G5, and found the serial code, but it was shortened to 20 characters, when the registration requires 24. How can I find the last 4 characters so I can activate Premiere? I found a guide, but it only works for PC's. Please help, I'm tired of using FCPX.

No, that is not rue, Adobe limits the supply of their software explicitly to Adobe themselfs and to their contract distributers. And the other problem is that the serial is stcked on the package of the DVDs. So, if someone passes his original DVDs to someone else he gives him also the serial. He has no possibility to hinder someone the use of these SN. So he has given away the proof of his licence.

Upgrade CS4 to CS5 with invalid serial number from pc to mac

I bought CS4 from a registered reseller a while ago, but now when I try to register the download, it says the serial number is invalid. I am now unable to reach the reseller. I have recently moved from pc to mac and would like to purchse CS5. Is it worth trying to register the CS4 so I can qualify for the reduced rate to upgrade to CS5? Or does the change from pc to mac mean I need to purchase new software entirely and pay the full rate?

You have to contact Adobe ....They will check the serial number of the CS4 is valid or not....and will register for you.
Once registered you can straight away place the order for the CS5 on the discounted price for MAC , there will be no problem weather you have the cs4 for mac or win
You should be bothered for your CS4 serial number because if you buy the upgrade of CS5 , when you will install the product it is gonna ask you the cs4 serial number .....hence get the serial number checked otherwise you have to buy the new software entirely.
Everything is dependent on CS4 serial numbr, buying CS5 is not the problem....you should have correct serial number of cs4 , get it checked.

Cs3 serial number not accepted when installing cs6 as upgrade

I downloaded photoshop cs6 after paying for it as an upgrade from photoshop cs3. During the installation it asked me for the serial number for cs4 or cs5 but not cs3. It would not accept the serial number of my cs3. A look at other forums suggests the only way round this is to hack in as if I was doing an illegal download. When I installed on this computer, the help Desk took over my computer and had a lot of trouble overriding the problem. I now have a new computer and am having the same problem in trasferring cs6 to the new computer. Unfortunately I have deactivated cs6 on this computer and at present cannot use it at all.

Serial Number Pain... Again

Before I rant about customer service and unhelpful replies, I wonder if anyone can suggest what might be going on,
I have a serial number for CS4 Design Premium. I've entered it and most applications are firing up fine (Photoshop, Illustrater etc). BUT InDesign asks for the serial number when I start it and then rejects the one I enter... which is the one I entered for CS4 and has allowed all the others to work.
Any suggestions?
