Serve Cache Issue

Hi buddies,
I have been made up a download code and I'm using the serve cache functions.
So, After got my path to the file as you can see below:
Oninputprocessing:
cl_http_server=>server_cache_upload( url      = display_url
                                          response    = cached_response ).
I left in my current screen two ways to get the file, one of them is through the link directly to the file using the code below:
<htmlb:link id      = "ID_DOWNLOAD01"
                    text          = "Click Here!"
                    reference     = "<%=display_url%>"
                    target        = "_BLANK"/>
The other way is through the onLoad event, I'm calling a javascript function that contain the window.open statament.
Well, If i click to the link "Click here" a auto popup screen shows me up to accept the file. But when I use the window.open at the onLoad event, the screen open and close without let me get the file. Both way lead me to the display_url path that I got from the serve cache. By the way I've trying absolute and relative path.
I've trying to using window.location.href to get the file in the same screen, but this one mess with my application.
Any idea how can I make this file available?
Thanks in advance,
Alex

do not call the js function in onload instead call like below
<% IF not display_url IS INITIAL.
      %>
      <sc ript lang uage="Jav ascript">
        wi ndow .op en("<%= display_url%>");
      < / scrip t>
      <%
  ENDIF.
      %>

  • Acrobat Connect Pro LMS 7.5 server cache issue - displaying old content

    Our Adobe Acrobat Connect Pro server is showing old Captivate-created content from about 4-6 weeks ago.
    I loaded 35+ sets of Captivate 3 (SCORM 1.2, HTML, zipped) content onto our Acrobat Connect Pro LMS about 6 weeks ago.
    I converted all training content from Captivate 3.0.1 to 4.0.1, 4 weeks ago by opening each file in Captivate 4 and following prompts to "Save As" new files with different file names.
    I reloaded all content 4 weeks ago, and again 2 weeks ago.
    I reloaded about half of all content again last week.
    End User Acceptance testing performed this week showed that most of the courses are showing old content, ranging from 2-6 weeks old
    Attempted fixes and workarounds:
    Deleting content entirely and reloaded from scratch - this will not work long term, as we lose usage data each time we reload completely new files.
    Contacted Adobe, provided times to track incidents of the issue.  We reached Tier 2 - who told us it was our problem and that everything appeared to be working fine from their side.
    New workaround - load new content and reattach course to new content.  This presents the same long term issue as the first workaround, but enables us to retain older versions of content in the system, should we need to revert or report on it.
    Gaining server side access is a bit challenging due to the hosting situation we have, so I am looking (ideally) for a solution that can be performed from the Administrator/Author Frontend.  However, I want to learn the real cause of the problem, wherever it might reside, so that it can be properly corrected and avoided in the future.  I am calling this a server cache issue, as it seems the server has somewhere retained unwanted old versions of content, preventing current content from being displayed to end users.  Viewing content as an end user = see old content.  Viewing content from the Content area (Author view) shows the current files, so I know they are on the server and are loading correctly, up to a point.
    I am preparing all content for another round of loading/reloading due to other issues and updates, so republishing and reloading all 35+ files into the LMS is unavoidable at this point.
    This issue is keeping our LMS from launching to several thousand users across the country, so any suggestions or helpful tips are much appreciated.

    I think I have isolated the source of this problem. It's the Pitstop Professional 9 plug in. I un-installed this, and everything opens quicker than greased lightning. I re-installed it and it's back to slowsville.
    Unfortunately Pitstop is essential to my workflow.
    Until recently I did my pre-press on a Mac G5 with Acrobat Pro 7 and Pitstop 6.5. I never had this problem with slow file opening. But it seems that the delays would occur when I used the plug-in with large complex files.. So it would open files as fast as you'd expect from an elderly machine. But starting to use Pitstop would result in a prolonged period of staring at a spinning beachball.
    I wonder is there any way to stop the Pitstop plug-in from initializing until it is used? So the plug-in stays inert until you select the tool from from the menus.

  • Bad server cache issue

    Hi all: Our remaining XP computers are running the Novell Client 4.91 SP5 IR1. I recently moved the locations of directories we use for folder redirection to another server. When my users log into some of these XP computers, they receive a message that the folder is not available (\\server_path_to_folder) yet they can browse to a mapped drive on that same server (I:\something). I was advised by Novell to turn off the bad server cache and set the associated timeouts to 0. However, this problem persists.
    Has anyone seen similar behavior? And how did you fix it?

    Thanks for the reply. I should have mentioned we use group policies via ZCM 11.2.4. I have also check the registry and all is fine. If I wait for 5 minutes, the default timeout period which I had set to 0, then everything begins to work.
    If I knew how to clear this cache maybe I could work around the problem.

    Hi,
    I'm not sure of the method you have specifically used for folder
    redirection, but, was that mechanism ever updated and pushed down to the
    workstation correctly? That's where I would look.

  • 404, published site won't connect to server, cache issue too

    Using DW5...testing site ran perfect. Went live today and getting 404 and I can only sometimes connect to the server to upload. I also can't view the live version. Already cleared cache, already did a command ipconfig/flushdns...not sure what to do next. I think it has something to do with the cache.

    Are you certain that the files are loading to the right location on the remote server? The path on your testing server and the path on the remote server won't necessarily be the same. When you go into your hosting account and look at the directory structure, do you have an index.html file at the root level?
    Can you upload files using a different FTP software, like filezilla?

  • WEB u2013 I cache issue.

    We have BO XI 3.1 PF 1.7 and SAP BW 7.0 SP 18
    We are facing strong caching issue  with WEB- I XI 3.1 , what we observed is it cache previously fetched data and does not recognize data been updated in BW Infoprovider ( in our case we have BEx query on Direct update DSO )
    I have tried u2013
    1.     I made caching inactive for that BEx query in BW side.
    2.     I have check caching setting in BO , they are not helping me much to in active cache in BO
    On executing BEx query in BW, I have checked RSRT cash monitor; the query result is not getting cached, and get up-to-date data. Query works perfectly file.
    Also observed Events in RSDDSTAT_OLAP table, I could find very well Event 9000. This shows me that BEx query hits database and bring data back.
    When I execute BO report on the top of same BEx query, I do not get up to date data , it shows me previously fetched data and does not recognize data been updated in BW.
    Now question is where this data being getting cashed , and how to make that inactive to make sure I do get up to date data in WEB-I .
    Many thanks for your kind response.
    Regards
    Ashutosh D

    HI Ashutosh,
    This would be stored in the C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\Data\servername_6400\storage folder.  Try renaming this folder and then testing again.  If this allows for updated records, then that proves that the Webi Processing Server is getting the cached data from this directory.
    There are also a few settings you can try to disable in the Webi Processing Server settings within the CMC:
    Disable cache Sharing (Checked)
    Enable Real-Time Caching (Unchecked)
    Enable Document Cache (Unchecked)
    Cache Timeout (1 min) - sets the cache to expire after 1 min.
    Try playing with these settings and see if that resolves the issue.
    Thanks

  • Caching issue in jsp or servlet

    I am not sure where I should post the issue that I have. I have a j2ee web app (struts) running on Apache Web Server + Glassfish + MySQL. My server has multi core.
    The problem is that whenever I insert a new data or delete it from a table, I don't see the change right away. Sometimes, I see the change. Sometimes I don't. It's very inconsistent.
    If the old data is cached in JSP, I shouldn't see the change in log file, but I do see it even in the log file.
    For example, I have a page managing user's folders. when I delete a certain folder name from jsp page, this folder is deleted from a db table. but when I refresh the page, I still see the folder name that is not supposed to show up. or when I go to a different page and come back to this page, I don't see it. The behavior is very inconsistent.
    If it's a browser caching issue, I don't think that I should see it in the log file, but I still see the folder name(which is supposed to be deleted) in the log file.
    I am including these lines in all included jsp pages.
    response.setHeader("Cache-Control","no-cache");
    response.setHeader("Pragma","no-cache");
    response.setDateHeader ("Expires", -1);
    does anybody have any opinion about this?
    It's hard to debug it and describe the behavior.
    But it would be very helpful if someone who had a same experience about this explains about this and tells me how to fix it.
    Thanks.

  • Possible session caching issue in SSRS2014

    Using custom FormsAuth, User A can sign into our own main asp.net mvc app (WIF cookie), then SSRS (FormsAuth cookie) and all is well.  Here is where things go bad.  User A signs out of our main application (WIF cookie deleted) then back in into
    our main application as User B then back into SSRS.  SSRS report that displays User!UserID show UserA instead of current User B.  Its like there is either a session or cookie caching issue going on but not for sure.
    1. What is the proper way to sign out of SSRS and prevent session caching?
    2. Do I need to worry about making my SSRS logon page non-cacheable?  If so, what is the recommended way of doing this?
    thanks
    scott

    Hi scott_m,
    According to your description, you used custom FormsAuthentication in Reporting Services, after user A sign out the application an sign in as user B, SSRS built-in user is shows user A instead of user B.
    Based on my search, once we configured SSRS to use Custom (Forms) authentication by deploying a custom security extension, we can logon to MS Report Manager (MSRM) using credentials of our custom security framework via a logon web page. But there is no way
    to logout or to expire the authentication cookie, so we need to close the browser manually. As a workaround, we can add a logout button to the Report Manager which is using Forms Authentication, then use code to clear the cookie and redirect to home page.
    In addition, if you extend Reporting Services to use Forms Authentication, it’s better to use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) for all communications with the report server to prevent malicious users from gaining access to another user's cookie. SSL enables clients
    and a report server to authenticate each other and to ensure that no other computers can read the contents of communications between the two computers. All data sent from a client through an SSL connection is encrypted so that malicious users cannot intercept
    passwords or data sent to a report server.

  • Sql server cache file

    I dont understand what is this cache file and its size goes on increasing.Could somebody tell me in detail what is this cache file and what is use of this

    Hi sunj15,
    Are you referring to the cache files located in the TEMP directory such as machine-name_instance.SQL-Server-name_{49268954-4FD4-4EB6-AA04-CD59D9BB5714}_#.cache?
    If that is the case, these cache files are created by data collection functionality of SQL server. SQL Server Management Data Warehouse (MDW) provides two ways of collecting data: Cached mode and Non-cached mode. Cached mode stores the Collection Set data
    in a .cache file in the cache file directory which is uploaded to the MDW database based on the schedule that you defined for your Collection Set.
    When the .cache files become very large, we can perform the following steps to solve the issue.
    1. Change the Server Activity collection to non-cached.
    2. Increase the collection frequency.
    3. Modify the sp_purge_data stored procedure for the purge job to run faster.
    Besides, for other type of SQL Server cache, please review this
    blog.

  • The cache issue about indexcol function

    Hi Experts,
    We have one requirement as below,
    Firstly, we have some columns prompt created by JAVA in external portal page, not OBIEE internal prompts,such as Year, Month,Day.
    Secondly, we have one report contains one dynamic column which showes the lowest selected level value.
    For example,
    When users muti-select value in Year, and not select Month,Day, so this report will display as below:
    Dynamic--------Sales
    2010-------------1000
    2011-------------2000
    When users muti-select value in Year and Month, and not select Day, so this report will display as below:
    Dynamic--------Sales
    201001-----------100
    201002-----------300
    201101-----------500
    When users muti-select value in Year , Month, and Day , so this report will display as below:
    Dynamic--------Sales
    20100101--------50
    20100202--------80
    20110101--------100
    So we have one method to solve this requirement, but faced new cache or update issue immediately. More detail information as below:
    We create one temp table which has one flag column ,
    when users select Year level, it will record 0,
    when users select Month level, it will record 1,
    when users select Day level, it will record 2
    Then import this temp table into physical layer, and create session init block like below:
    select flag from temp
    Finially, we create new indexcol column in BMM :
    INDEXCOL(VALUEOF(NQ_SESSION.FLAG),Year,Month,Day) and drag it into presentation layer.
    When users select value in Year or Month or Day, and the flag will be record into database.However, the dynamic column in report will not be changed.
    I must click "Reload Server Metedata" firstly, it will show correctly.(Users do not click this )
    Is there any better method to solve cache issue? Or any other better methods for solving this requirement?
    Thanks very much.
    Note: I have disabled the cache in temp table in physical layer.

    Sorry to bother you again, I found I was wrong in describing my problem. I found out that I sent the CiscoIPhoneExecute xml to the phone last time, not the CiscoIPhoneImageFile xml.
    The CiscoIPPhoneExecute xml is like:
    http://192.168.1.2:8080/test/push2phone.jsp?action=get"/>
    And "http://192.168.1.2:8080/test/push2phone.jsp?action=get" returns the CiscoIPPhoneImageFile xml, like this:
    Image Title goes here
    Prompt text goes here
    0
    0
    http://192.168.1.2:8080/test/pngs/attention.png
    so when I send the CiscoIPPhoneExecute xml to a phone, the phone will display the file attention.png on the screen with the sound chime.raw, then I press the "exit" button, the attention.png on the screen disappears. But if I then send the CiscoIPPhoneExecute xml with the "http://192.168.1.2:8080/test/push2phone.jsp?action=get" that returns the CiscoIPPhoneImageFile that contains a different png file, for example "warning.png", the "attention.png" will appear for a short time during the time when "warning.png" is downloading, then "warning.png" appears. I have no idea why that happens. I don't want to see "attention.png" when I'm sending "warning.png". What can I do?
    I've tried to directly sent the CiscoIPPhoneImageFile xml to a phone, everything goes well, no "cache" problems. but I have no idea how to add the sound "chime.raw". I want the png files to be sent like short messages with sounds. Please help!
    Thanks a lot.

  • Application Server performance  issues

    I am a DBA consultant at a county government site that recently went live on FSCM 9.1 using Tools 8.53.04 Running Windows Server with MS-SQL Server 2012
    A problem has started with our two Prod App Servers. There are a few hundred Accounting users on the system and they have been reporting extreme slowness going page to page, and many times getting kicked out of the system. I have launched Process Explorer, Resource Monitor, Task Manager on both App Serves and found individual PSAPPSRV processes peaking as high as 39% CPU and then bouncing down to 2%, back up to 17%, and all over the map
    In PSADMIN I ran TMAdmin and shut down and then rebooted the individual processes that had the high cpu usage, but they spiked back up.
    So we sent out a message for users to log off and bounced both app servers and cleared app server cache, however that didn't fix it either. This is the first time this has happened, so we ar soliciting feedback from other PS/MS-SQL DBA's to see if they have experienced this and how they handled it.
    We looked at resources and each App Server (they are virtual) have only 16 GB of ram and each has two Opteron 2.79 Ghz processors. So we are thinking it is a resource problem, however this situation has not happened before
    Thanks in advance
    2944096

    The problem is there is no service timeout for the PSAPPSRV process:
    [PSAPPSRV]
    ;=========================================================================
    ; Settings for PSAPPSRV
    ;=========================================================================
    ; UBBGEN settings
    Min Instances=5
    Max Instances=5
    Service Timeout=0
    Please review the following Km Doc E-AS: PSAPPSRV process Service Timeout=0 Causing Severe Slow Down of Application (Doc ID 1992038.1)
    This can happen if the psdbgsrv process gets started:  E-AS: Service Timeout for PSAPPSRV reverts to = 0 after Domain Configuration (Doc ID 664081.1)
    Please set the psappsrv process back to the servicetimeout of =300 after reviewing the above km docs and this should fix the issue.

  • Tomcat Cache Issue

    Hi,
    Not sure if this is the right place to post this, so please advise if not.
    I am developing a JSF based site using Tomcat 6.0.16. The problem is that when I am editing pages coded in JSF, the updates to the pages are not immediately apparant. The problem is that I am getting errors when I am calling pages. These errors are in fact "historical" meaning that I have fixed the code but I still get the errors. The pages update to the correct after some time but only if I amend something in page, forcing the servlet files to be regenerated. I hae tried deleting the cache under CATALINA/work/Catalina/mywebapp but this doesn't always seem to work.
    Is there anything I can do to ensure that the latest page is being called?
    Thanks,
    Tim

    restarting tomcat doesn't seem to work weirdly - and redeploying? well the pages are being edited directly in the web directory so am not deploying/redeploying. Is it a server config issue perhaps?

  • Pdf caching issue

    Hi,
    I have a serlvet which calls a series of classes which generate a pdf on the fly. Once created on the server, the servlet then calls response.sendRedirect("path to .pdf");. This all works fine. My problem is when I change the data which appears in the pdf and generate it again through the same servlet (with the same filename). The second time the pdf is opened in the clients browser, it contains the first/original pdf data, until I refresh the browser and it generates it again with the updated data. This, I'm guessing, is because of a caching issue. However, in the calling servlet, I set both Cache-Control and Pragma to "no-cache". Is there something I'm missing? Thanks
       public void doGet (HttpServletRequest req, HttpServletResponse resp)
       throws ServletException, IOException
          resp.setHeader("Cache-Control", "no-cache");
          resp.setHeader("Pragma", "no-cache");
          ...//generate pdf on server
          resp.sendRedirect("path to file");
       }

    I don't know if this applies to pdf's but for HTML I have scrounged the Internet and come up with this:
        public static void disableCaching(HttpServletResponse response)
            response.addDateHeader("Expires", 791589600000L); // Wed Feb 01 00:00:00 EET 1995
            response.addHeader("Cache-Control", "no-store,no-cache,must-revalidate,post-check=0,pre-check=0");
            response.addHeader("Pragma", "no-cache");
        }Most of the horror in that is due to Internet Exploder. Different versions of IE require different magic spells. Googling for "no-store no-cache" etc finds more on the subject.

  • OAM - Identity Server Cache Flush to Access Server

    In OAM, a feature is that any user profile change in identity server could be updated to access server cache. Currently, we run into problem. the cache flush is a water fall process, from one identity server to an access server then to all other access servers. If one server hangs and does not respond, all servers may hang (that happens to us).
    I would like to know if you are using this feature and if you run into the same problem. You can also comment if this is a necessary feature and/or a troublesome feature. I would appreciate your any contribution. Thank you!
    Richard

    I am facing issue while setting up the automatic cache flush for access server.It looks like you were able to set up this. Can you please provide bit more details?. I have tried by setting -
    a. Parameter doAccessServerFlush in basedbparams as <NameValPair ParamName="doAccessServerFlush"
    Value="true"/>
    b. An Access Gate has been configured under /identity/AccessServerSDK
    My requirement is to flush the changes to the Group membership in a group. Are there any specific restrictions on what is included in user cache?.
    Thanks

  • Server busy issue since i joined Creative Cloud

    I had Lightroom 5 and then joined creative cloud and have been having issues ever since i signed up.  Every time i start lightroom i get a server busy error for hours on end.

    A fix to Lightroom's “Server Busy Error” on a Windows 7 64 bit computer:
    I see in the discussion threads there are a LOT of frustrated people over this Server Busy issue, so I hope this helps someone. This is what Adobe tech support had me do, which fixed my problem. I got through on the phone right away, and the fix took no longer than 20 minutes to determine, with the support person remoting into my computer.
    I already had Lightroom 5.6 installed through my Creative Cloud subscription, and it had worked for a few weeks for me, although with increasing problems with the Server Busy box popping up. I was able to get rid of it by switching to Switch and Retry, but eventually it locked me out entirely.
    Tech Support told me the problem was a permissions issue.
    Try the following and see if it solves your problem:
    In C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe, find the SL Cache folder and move it to your Desktop.
    In C:\ProgramData\Adobe, find the SL Store folder and move it to your Desktop.
    R Click on your Lightroom icon and “Run as Administrator”.
    If it opens correctly, that shows it is working now.
