Server connection query

I would like to pull a report out of the ZCM inventory that would show which ZCM servers the workstations are connected to as we have more than one server in our zone.
How is this done? Our db is MS SQL 2005.
Chris

  • IIS Webgate losing connection to OAM server with query string in URI

    Hi,
    We have a Windows 2008 server with IIS 7/7.5 and the OAM 10.1.4.3 webgate installed on it, and are having a problem where it appears that during the processing of a request, the webgate is getting an ErrEngineDown (i.e., the webgate thinks that it's lost connection to the OAM server).
    We have a number of similarly configured IIS servers + webgates that work fine, but this problem is only occurring on one of the IIS servers, AND it appears that this only happens when the URI being requested includes a query string.
    When this happens, we see the following in the webgate oblog.log file:
    2012/10/08@16:45:10.244000     3148     2928     CONN_MGMT     DEBUG1     0x00000201     ..\src\aaa_service_client.cpp:935     "Simulating engine down reply"
    and:
    2012/10/08@16:45:10.244000     3148     3220     WEB     TRACE     0x00000203     ..\src\iis_filt_info.cpp:554     "Function entered"     _TraceName^ObIISFiltPreprocHdrs::RedirectTo     redirectUrl^/access/oblix/apps/webgate/bin/webgate.dll?status%253D500%2520errmsg%253DErrEngineDown
    and:
    2012/10/08@16:45:10.244000     3148     3220     ACCESS_CLIENT     DEBUG3     0x00000201     ..\src\aaa_service_client.cpp:3359     "ObAAAServiceClient::DecNumActiveReferences"     _numActiveReferences^0     AAA Client Address^0x02139730
    2012/10/08@16:45:10.244000     3148     3220     ACCESS_SDK     ERROR     0x00000501     ..\src\obuser_session.cpp:1564     "ObError exception caught"     raw_code^124
    We've confirmed that the IIS server connectivity to the OAM server is fine.
    When they test, they get the OAM FORM login page, then then enter the username and password, and then the browser shows an "Oracle Access Manager Operation Error" webpage (which probably corresponds to that "ErrEnginedown".
    The puzzling thing is why this would happen but only if the URI includes a query string. Also, as I mentioned, we are only seeing this problem with one IIS server (+webgate).
    We have an SR with Oracle, but that hasn't made much progress, so I was wondering if anyone has encountered something like this?
    Thanks,
    Jim

    Hi,
    It turned out that there were some application errors that were occurring and when those were fixed, this problem disappeared. We don't control the IIS application, so we're not 100% what the problems were.

  • Error [hyt00] [microsoft][odbc sql server driver] query timeout expired

    I have the below network setup:-
    1. Its a simple network at my father's office at a small town called Ichalkaranji (District - Kolhapur, Maharashtra).
    2. We are using private network range 192.168.1.xxx with two Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition with SP2 licensed copies and 15 local Windows 7 clients who are only using Server A.
    3. The network is having a TP-Link Braodband Router Connected to internet with the IP 192.168.1.1.
    4. Both there Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition with SP2 are running separate SQL Server 2005 Express with Advanced Services, you can treat them as Server A (Problematic Server with IP of 192.168.1.2)
    and Server B (this is not having any issue with IP of 192.168.1.3).
    5. Server A is also being used by 6 Remote users from our Kolkata office using DDNS facility through the NO IP client software which installed separately on both the servers. Kolkata remote users
    do not use OR access the Server B.
    6. Server B is being used by only 2 Remote users from our Erode office (Under Salem District, Tamilnadu) using DDNS facility through the NO IP client software which installed separately on both
    the servers. Erode remote users do not use OR access the Server A.
    7. The front end application which running separately on both the servers have been developed in VB by a local vendor at Ichalkaranji (District - Kolhapur, Maharashtra).
    8. Both Servers are having the same database structure in terms of design and tables format. Only difference is that both the servers are being used separately.
    9. This error OR problem is only related to Server A, where on the clients we get the message "error [hyt00] [microsoft][odbc sql server driver] query timeout expired" every now and then.
    10. We have to frequently reboot the server whenever we get this message on the client machines. May be after rebooting every thing works perfectly for 2 hours / 5 Hours / may be one full day but
    the the error will come back for sure.
    11. Current Database back up size on Server A is around 35 GB and take around 1 hour 15 minutes daily to take the back up.
    12. Current Database back up size on Server B is around 3 GB and take around 5 to 10 minutes daily to take the back up.
    13. One thing I have noticed is that when ever we reboot Server A, for some time sqlsrvr.exe file will show memory usage of 200 to 300 MBs but it will start using slowly, what i understand is that
    this is the way SQL Server works.
    14. Both the Servers are also running Quick heal Antivirus Server Edition separate licensed copies also.
    15. Server B is also running Tally ERP 9 Licenses copy which is being used locally by 15 users of Ichalkaranji (District - Kolhapur, Maharashtra) same users
    Can any one help to resolve this issue. Any help will be highly appreciated.

    The error message "query timeout expired" occurs, because by default many APIs, including ODBC only waits for 30 seconds for SQL Server to send any output. If no data has been seen for this period of time, they tell SQL Server to cancel execution
    and return this error to the caller.
    This timeout could be seen as a token that the query is taking too long time to execute and this needs to be fixed. But it can also be a pain in the rear parts, if you are content with a report taking five minutes, because you only run it once a day.
    The simplest way to get rid of the error is to set the timeout to zero, which means "wait forever". This is something your vendor would have to do. This may, however, not resolve the problem, as the users may just find that the application is hanging.
    To wit, there are two reasons why the query takes more than 30 seconds to complete. One is that there is simply that much work to do. This can be reduced by adding indexes or by doing other tuning, if the execution time is not acceptable. The other possibility
    is blocking. That is, there is a process blocking this query from completing. This is much more likely to require attention.
    It is not clear to me, whether the vendor has developed the database part as well. In this case, you should probably call the vendor's support desk to have them to sort this out.
    Finally, I am little puzzled. You say that you are using Express Edition, but one of the databases is 35 GB in size. 35 GB is far above the limit for Express Edition.

  • WSUS Server Reporting: Query TargetComputers for LastReportingStatus

    Hi,
    I'm having quite a difficult time in finding a way how to query multiple WSUS servers for the last report time of all TargetComputers.  I would like to query all targetcomputers on our Upstreamserver (master, the others are in replica mode) by FullDomainName.
    That way I could check every client for it's site, next connect to the connect to the correct wsus server and query for the lastreport time for that client.(we have a site code in the computer names, so starting with 0 = site A, starting with 2 = site B,..)
    In short, I want to query every targetcomputer there is to find for each WSUS server (3 servers) and if there is a lastreport time longer than 30 days, I want to query the other WSUS servers to check if maybe a last report date over their is more recent.
     Also, I should make my query so that when I loop through the array, I first do a check of the FullDomainName because based on it, I can connect to the correct "local wsus server" to do the check for last report time.
    I have this code already, can anyone please point me in the right direction for this?
    Any help is very much appreciated!
    $attachments = "xxxxxxxxxxxxx","xxxxxxxxxxxxx","xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"

    This is closer to how to do it and is easier to manage.
    function Get-LateReporting{
    Param(
    [Parameter(
    Mandatory=$true,
    ValueFromPipeline=$true
    )]$server
    Begin{
    [void][reflection.assembly]::LoadWithPartialName('Microsoft.UpdateServices.Administration')
    Process{
    $wsus=[Microsoft.UpdateServices.Administration.AdminProxy]::GetUpdateServer($server,$false,80)
    $wsus.GetComputerTargets() |
    Where-Object{
    $_.LastReportedStatusTime -lt ([datetime]::Today.AddDays(-30))
    -and $_.RequestedTargetGroupName -ne "Servers"
    -and $_.RequestedTargetGroupName -ne "Labo"
    'servera','serverb','serverc'|
    Get-LateReporting |
    Select-Object FullDomainName, LastReportedStatusTime |
    Export-Csv latereports.csv -NoTypeInformation
    Send-MailMessage -Attachments latereports.csv -From zzzzz -To yyyyyyy -SmtpServer exchange -Priority High -Subject "WSUS Client Reportings"
    You can group the results to select the newest one.

  • Dedicated Server Connection Vs Shared Server Connection

    Hi Gurus,
    I have few doubts regarding Dedicated Server Connection Vs Shared Server Connection -
    1) How do I know which connection mechanism is configured in my system.
    2) Which connection faster and reliable.
    3) Is there any risk to using shared server connection?
    4) Which concept is new comparatively?
    5) It is possible to restrict specific user for Dedicated Server Connection and other for Shared Server Connection in a same database.

    Thanks for your post.... but still i have doubt on below points -
    1) How do I know which connection mechanism is configured in my system.Search for dispatcher parameter (both words in the search box) in the docs.
    2) It is possible to restrict specific user for Dedicated Server Connection and other for Shared Server Connection in a same database.You might be able to do something like this by using the RULE parameter with cman, limiting specific users (via local security setups) to specific client IP's and forcing them to particular service names. This is a net services issue, so does not conflict with what Billy said. It assumes you control whether your users will query the db appropriately, too. Many apps don't do that right.

  • Data Server Connection Problem in MII 12.1 Version.

    Hello Experts,
    I am using two instances of MII 12.1.8 Build (20), at which am recently facing problems in the Data Server Connections.
    Am not able to connect to the Data Servers using connectors [IDBC, Virtual IDBC].
    When I checked the status of the servers, it is showing the status as running but there is no available connections.
    When trying to create the query templates I dont get the available tables list populated too.
    The driver details for jdbc used are the default ones,
    For IDBC,
    JDBC Driver : com.inet.tds.TdsDriver
    ServerURL : jdbc:inetdae:<ip_addr>:1433?database=<db_name>&sql7=true
    For virtual IDBC,

  • Integration Server connection throws ESB Server: FAILED error

    I've installed BPM 10.1.3.1 on my m/c and while creating an integration server connection, I get an error as:
    Application Server: OK
    BPEL Process Manager Server: OK
    ESB Server: FAILED
    I've verified the ports in the ant-orabpel.properties file and there is no deviation in that. Am I missing anything? Any pointers to this would be of help.

    Yes, I gathered that from the ESB-only distribution media.
    I'm still confused.
    The SOA Suite download says that it contains the ESB. It also contains an Oracle Lite instance to run against for development.
    1) Are you saying that the ESB that comes with SOA Suite for Windows/Oracle Lite development purposes isn't actually ESB, and shouldn't work even though the Quick Start Guide shows an "ESB Server: Success" message, not an "ESB Server:Failed" message?
    2) What about the error messages in the previous posting -- is the WSIF for ESB supposed to be broken in the Developer installation?
    3) Do I have to install the full OracleAS, Oracle DB, etc... to run the examples as documented?
    4) Should I just not care and do my proof-of-concept work without the use of ESB at all?

  • SQL Server Connection Issue

    I've tried going through the steps to resolve the issue, but I am still coming up blank. The part that I am not understanding is the, "A non-recoverable error occurred during a database lookup." part.
    Is this a security problem? I can establish an ODBC connection to the server as well as connect and query through visual studio, however when trying to run it through one of our custom programs, it throws this error message.
    A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider:
    TCP Provider, error: 0 - A non-recoverable error occurred during a database lookup.)

    There are many reasons of SQL server connectivity issue. Refer checklist to find out the real cause of connectivity issue.
    1. Check SQL services are running
    2. Check SQL Browser service is running
    3. Check remote connections are enabled
    4. Network connectivity between database & application servers by TRACERT command
    5. Check TCP/IP protocol enabled at SQL server
    6. Check talent connectivity – telnet <IP address> <port no on SQL server running>
    7. Check UDP port 1434 is open or not on SQL Server
    8. Check firewall is running or not Check
    9. If firewall running, SQL Server & UDP port must be added in exception in firewall
    10. Run SQL Discovery report on machine SQL server installed, to check you are using correct instance name to connect( default \named) -http://mssqlfun.com/2013/02/26/sql-server-discovery-report/

    Hello Sue,
    I have an iPad 3, iPad Mini and iPhone 5S and they are all sluggish on capitalisation using shift keys. I hope that Apple will solve the problem because it is driving me crazy.
    I find using a Microsoft Surface and Windows 8 phone, which I also have, work as well as all the ios devices before the ios 7 upgrade.
    It has something to do with the length of time that you need to hold the shift key down. The shift key needs to be held longer than the letter key for the capitalisation to work. For some reason, this is a major change in the way we have learnt to touch type on computers. I am having to relearn how to type!

    Hi, My connection to the AOL IMAP server has suddenly failed - Says "Not Connected" on Accounts page
    I haven't changed anything and this just started failing this morning.
    I've saw same issue on my Blackberry PlayBook 64GB.
    Is anyone else recently experiencing AOL IMAP Errors?

    Yes! Same thing happened suddenly to my Z10 this morning. No AOL.

  • Difference between using app server connection pooling and using the driver

    Hi all,
    How to get connection pooling with out application server and tomcat also?
    What is the difference between using app server connection pooling and using the driver supported connection pooling?
    Regards,
    Murali

    maybe the performance of App server pool is better than the JDBC pool,
    for you don't know wether the implementation of the JDBC interface is good or bad.

    I removed the SSL patch and the IE security update to see if that was an issue.

    Has someone left the company or has an account of some nature been dropped/replaced?
    Please click "Mark As Answer" if my post helped. Tony C.
    Hi Tony,
    Srry but No.  We just installed the monthly updates.
    I went back and found I had missed removing a patch.  I missed the rollup for Windows Server 2003:
    Event Type: Information
    Event Source: NtServicePack
    Event Category: None
    Event ID: 4382
    Date:  3/12/2015
    Time:  12:26:04 PM
    User:  NETTEST\admin
    Computer: DATA1
    Description:
    Windows Server 2003 KB954920 was removed from your computer, and the previous Windows Server 2003 configuration was restored.
    After I removed that is still didn't work but after about five minutes it started working.
    I guess I ned to report that to MS after I research what might be changed to make the patch work.
    Every time I get stuck and ask for help it seems to be just before I stumble on the solution.
    Thanks for replying.
    Well - maybe this will help someone else.
    Thanks again for replying Tony
