Server0 getting restarted when i access UME configuration

Hai experts,
i have changed UME configuration for ABAP , and for testing the sap system I.e ( through system configuration )when i click on UME configuration tab my server0 is getting restarted , before restart it ends with exit code 666 and starts again. i logged in through sap* to access this.
kindly help me where to modify or any changes has to be done.

Hello,
When a server restarts, its usually an outofmemory error or in some cases a jdk crash leading to server crash. Please check in your <j2ee engine>/work directory dev_server0 and std_server0.out files if you see errors like OutOfMemory!
Please ensure the JVM settings are configured as per the note 723909 and the OS Specific note within.
Please also ensure that you have heapdump settings configured as per following notes based on which OS you have:
1004255 Sun jdk
1267126   IBM i: How to get a heapdump which can by analyzed with MAT
1265455   How can you generate a system dump for analysis using MAT?        (LNX)
1263258 LXN / 64
1259465 How to get a heapdump which can by analyzed with MAT          (AIX)
(1053495 heapdump settings on AIX)
Thye heapdump which is .hprof file on sun jdk and on ibm its .phd/.dmp file is necessary for the analysis of the outofmemory crash if the crash is not occuring due to JVM misconfiguration but due to some memory leak.
The heapdumps can be analyzed by MAT Tool which can be downloaded from www.ecllipse.org/mat

Error while connecting to Visual administrator - Server0 getting Restarted

Hi Experts,
Kindly help me to Tune the JVM Parameters For AS Java ( Enterprise Portal 7)
We are Having our Development Portal on a 32-bit Machine and recently we have migrated the same to a 64-Bit with SAP OS/DB. We are Using IBM DB2 9.1 Fix pack 2.
Now I have to Configure the Java Virtual machine (JVM) Parameters for the EP instance in the 64-bit Hardware. The Hardware details are as Follows :
Ram - 10 GB
Paging Memory - 25 GB
OS - Win 2k3 - SP2
HDD - 500 GB
Current JVM Parameters : For (Server0)
-XX:MaxPermSize=256M
-XX:PermSize=256M
-Xms2048M
-Xmx2048M
-XX:NewSize=171M
-XX:MaxNewSize=171M
Now when iam connecting to Visual Administrator (VA) with administrator it is connecting upto 20 % - 25 % and giving a error - (Ping Timeout - connection to server Lost) and the Server0 is Restarting.
i have modified Xmx and Xmx to 3072 and restarted the J2ee Engine. And now for some time it is ok and again giving the same error.
And modifying the Server0 JVM parameters is sufficient or we have to modify Instance --> Servers General JVM Parameters Too ?**
i Believe this is the problem with JVM Parameters. Correct me if iam wrong

Comp gets restart when connected to i touch

I have i touch ios 4.1...since last week when i connect my i touch to comp,the comp gets restart.
It happens everytime when I connect my i touch to comp.
This happens not only with my comp but when I tried to connect it to several other computers also.

I've seen this a lot recently. It use to show no warn you but now a messages tells you it is doing this and that it should take less than a minute. Definitely was seeing this before I switched to VMS, and now see the VMS startup screen sometimes.
I believe that on some conditions it does the update even in Standby, but for some reason not always.

Getting Error when given access to a particular dictionary using group Newscale request Center service development.

Please help me to resolve this issue.
I have created Service in NewScale request Center ,In this service I have a requirement to give access to a third party vendor to check closed (service completed) services on a particular dictionary.
I have done it by creating a group IFD (group name) and a particular person with site Administrator, Organization designer permissions, he don't have any role . And then in Active form components ,in access control tab , In service completed event I have added that group for that particular dictionary. But when I have created a request and email to him then request_id link from email , he open that link then he is getting this error "You do not have sufficient permissions to view this page" for it have attached a file also.

If so there are a few things you can check, first of all, what URL is the link taking the user to, is it Service Manager (perhaps you could provide the link for some insight)? If so the user might need additional capabilities to access Service Manager.
Secondly, at what point in the delivery phase is this mail being sent, is this upon completion of the service request or during service delivery? If it is during service delivery then you would have to configure access control during the service delivery moment and not during service completion for the user to access it.

SmartConnect fails when GPRS access point configur...

I am trying to configure SmartConnect to cycle between a Wi-Fi and a GPRS access point.
The GPRS access point allows only HTTP/HTTPS traffic through a proxy server (this is a limitation of my service package through the mobile operator; direct Internet connectivity is much more expensive).
When using an HTTP application (e.g. Opera, Gmail) directly with the GPRS access point, everything works fine.
However, if I use the application with the SmartConnect access point, the connection fails.
Just for testing, I replaced the GPRS access point with one that allows direct internet connectivity without a proxy server (at a much higher cost) - everything worked fine.
So, I concluded that this is a bug in SmartConnect - they didn't take into account the fact that the access point may work only through a proxy server, and maybe they do some kind of connectivity check that is not HTTP and that fails. I tried to look everywhere support contact information for Birdstep but couldn't find any.
Has anybody encountered this? Or does anyone have contact information for Birdstep's support? I am guessing the fix probably super-simple.

Does SmartConnect perform some connectivity check prior to "releasing" the connection to the applications?

Just got this from Birdstep's support:
"SmartConnect is not using the proxy setting of the connection. This is known problem with SmartConnect. Currently there is no fix or workaround for it".
So that seems to be the end of it, for now at least.

Session is not getting invalidated when i access more then 1 war applications

          I am experiencing the following problem and i do not understand

          I asked a similar question some time ago and the answer that I got was that each
          application (war file) has its own session object. You cannot transfer information
          from one application to another via the session id.

[SOLVED] Nautilus restarting when I access places such as computer

Alright, so all of a sudden (it MAY have been an update, I didn't keep track) nautilus has been acting u). Whenever I access special folders, such as FTP fileshares, Computer, Trash, etc. Nautilus closes and restarts. I have tried to debug this from a terminal, but nautilus just forks into the background. I have checked the man page and found no debug switch or the like. I have tried compiling nautilus from source along with the essentials (rebooting and such) but nothing has worked so far. I have also tried deleting ~/.nautilus.
Anyone know how to fix this?

Something similar happened to me (well, using Nautilus-elementary) after messing around with themes and other stuff like source code modding. Someone from the IRC channel suggested I run pacman -Rns nautilus (using sudo, obviously) to uninstall it completely and delete these folders:
~/.nautilus (empty for me)
~/.config/nautilus (empty for me)
~/.gconf/apps/nautilus
Then I reinstalled Nautilus and everything was back to normal again. I did, however, had to go to Preferences - Tweaks and check the breadcrumbs back and a few other settings. So next time you could go to the IRC channel and ask if there are other configuration files for the package if reinstalling it doesn't do the trick.

Phone only gets emails when i access the internet using opera mini or google maps

at first, i thought the problem was related to gmail and pop, so i forwarded all emails to my bb address, but the problem still remains. if i start google maps and let it load for a second, all of my emails and facebook notifications will come through at the same time, but they wont show up on their own. any suggestions? i am using sprint

Workprocess getting restarted after DB Roll back

I have an error reported by end user saying Workprocess are getting restarted when he is running a Transaction when i checked the system log and therafter the Workprocess Log I have observed the following , I have also found the heap memory is getting full and at the same time the DB is doing a rollback, can somebody explain if this is only cause of the heap memory or its Db problem over here , attached below is the Log

We hit the exact same problem when activating an APO integration model in ECC last week. It looks like an SQL statement that returns a very large result set is executed. While the result set is fetched the ABAP heap is exhausted. Since no more memory is available the ABAP engine abruptly cancels the execution and begins error handling. The database interface rejects to execute a ROLLBACK statement while the SQL statement is still active. As the rollback fails the task handler restarts the SAP work process and no ABAP short dump or job log entries can be written. We first attempting to resolve this problem by changing
+abap/heap_area_dia + to 4GB->8GB->12GB. However, finally, the solution that worked for us was to cleanup the change pointers and reactivating the integration model with 4GB heap.

I have done same thing I also visited nokia care they have also done same thing but still I am having same problem.
When I reset/format device software/os, it works fine for few days. But it again having same problem.
I am software engineer I understand software/os may have not been tested very well. It may have bugs. But there should be patch or upgrade of this software that has fixed this issue.
Let me know if there will be any release of this software.

I made my main account a parental control account and when I accessed the account created as admin, at the Parental Control options I deleted my main account and now I can't get back in it. I need help with this problem.

I made my administrator account a parental control account, at the time of creating it, the system asked for my administrator password, to restart the computer, and the new account was created. When I accessed that account at the parental control menu I could see my main account on the list and i deleted the account from that list, and now i'm trying to get back to it but I'm not able to because every time i restart the computer brings me back to the account I created. I searched for help on the web and it says to go to users and select the account I want to restore but I can't do it. Please help.

CMS gets hang when configure TACACS

I have stack of 2950 switches. I have configure tacacs for login security purpose. but i am facing problem when i open CMS web interface. I am succussfully get authenticated. but its get hang when Discovering network information dialog box comes. If you close that session and reopen again then CMS working fine. Problem is that when I configure Network Access restriction group device for specific user. Then it halt at Discovering Network information. I am using Cisco ACS 3.0. Following my switch config.

aaa authentication enable default group tacacs+ enable
aaa authorization exec default group tacacs+ if-authenticated
aaa authorization commands 1 default group tacacs+ if-authenticated
aaa authorization commands 15 default group tacacs+ if-authenticated.
The only problem is CMS application getting hang with tacacs configuration . My IOS ver is 12.1(14)EA1A. Please help its very urgent.

I could not find any bugs related to the issue you are describing. There was one problem where the username/password prompt was appearing again and again which had to do with misconfigurations. Do let me know if you find a solution.
