Dear Friend
First of all you understand whats the basic use of Standard Service Catelogue.
Basically these are standard master records of various services. You can define no of services under one SSC.
How to creat Service Catelogue
1. T-Code ML01
Enter your any service number
In Edition type you can subdivide various service types for example service for maintenance, Services for building construction etc.
Then select your service category e.g. general services.
2. In text module you can define how services you are mentioning under text module select if its charachter or numeric and its field length.
3. Then first select yout Text module no then click on editor it will take to next screen where you can mention list of services in the form of code and description which you can use later at the time of raising service PO.
4. Save it.
Now you can reference it.

Do I use Service Catalogue or Business Services for this?

I'm just looking at implementing System Centre Service Manager - I'm an ITIL expert but not a Microsoft techie so bear with me!
I need to represent 130ish Services within SCSM which are different products we sell and support for our clients. Incidents, changes, releases etc will then be logged against these services, not the individual chunks of hardware.
How and where do I set these up in SCSM?? I had assumed it was setting up Business services? Is that correct?
Do the business services initially have to be associated with hardware held in SCCM or can we have a POC with a standalone service?
A bit fat pointer would be usefu right now!

You only need to specify a Display Name for the new Business Service. No other information are mandatory or requiered to create a Business Service in SCSM.

As mentioned in the quoted text, this service catalogue goes beyond the standard infrastructure.
Let’s say, a user wants to deploy a new email services, or in your example, extends or create a new web-portal (i.e. for HR to view and manage holiday, staff absence and benefits).
Your solution will need to interact somehow with the 3rd party vendor application that is capable building such portal I believe.
Without disclosing to many information, I assume the portal is linked to backend VM,s that spin up requested resources (and more magic of course). Perhaps I am mixing this up with another cisco product where a user can go on the portal and spin up virtual Firewalls, virtual Routers can be provisioned in now time.
Out if interest; Is this product also known as Mozart? (project code within Cisco?)

Let me explain you about services briefly.
The process related to services is similar to material purchase
The procurement of external services is completely integrated in Purchasing. Purchasing documents can be used for the procurement of services. Services that have actually been performed are recorded using the service entry sheet. The entry of services performed is equivalent to a goods receipt of materials. It is then followed by Invoice Receipt and final payment.
<b>Master data to be maintained</b>
<i>Service Master (T.Code AC03)</i>
A service master record contains information on the service (work) description such as:
Descriptive texts
Units of measure.
Material group.
Valuation class for account determination
Prices can be assigned to each service master record using the conditions.
<i>Standard Service Catalogue (T.code ML01)</i>
The Standard Service Catalogue contains standardized descriptions of services in the form of individual text modules.
<i>Model Service Specifications (T.code ML10)</i>
Model Service Specifications can store sets of service specifications that you want to use
Frequently.They can be referenced in various purchasing documents. Model service specifications with variant configuration selects services from a model specification
and configures them automatically in the service specifications of any purchasing document.

JSP-BPM Process-Web Service interaction

I am new to Oracle bpm studio. I am having one very important question.
I want to understand the JSP-BPM-Webservice interaction in Oracle BPM studio BPM Process, as we have an enterprise application having servlets, ejbs, etc, for these servlets & ejbswe are creating web services to expose their functionality, through a BPM process. We have created jsps for showing the result fetched from the external web services imported in our BPM process.
So in brief, jsp and external webservices are imported in our BPM project, configured as interactive & global activity respectively.
Please guide us for the JSP-BPM-Webservice interaction.
How to make the webservice working in response of the jsp, getResult Button? So that on pressing the button on jsp the webservice can return the result and the result can be diplayed on another jsp?
How to bind the webservice with bpm object, and pass the values through the bpm flow?
Could you please guide me through this small demo application?

Yes we did the same, as given in some tutorials how to create the "Web service catalogue component", we did it, introspected the webservice.
Now we need to pass the inputs to the add method of the web service, so that it can return the result back to the jsp. So in order to achieve this we created one interactive activity component & object for jsp in the main BPM process and for the same jsp, one interactive activity component in the screenflow, and to interact with the webservice, we created the global activity in the main BPM process. We edited this global activity and dragged the add method definition there.
So now we are facing issues with jsp-web service interaction, they are not interacting, so we want somebody to guide us how to enable this with step by step instructions if somebody has done it already. We have already gone thru a lot of tutorials & forum but we want to resolve this asap.

I'm facing an strange problem within our SRM 7 Portal integration.
When I open the transaktion "shopping" to display all anabled web services/catalogues it's looks alll normal.
But when clicking on the link of an web service there happens nothing. There is no difference at the behavior when clicking the internal SRM MDM Catalog link or an external punch out catalog link.
When typing the URL of the catalog manually in the browser the page opens as intended.
I did a http trace so see what happens when i'm clicking one of the links. But now I have some data I can't read. So maybe you can help me to find out the defect.

I have a messageChoice item and an LOV item e.g
Type---messageChoiceBean(Goods,Services)
Catalogue--LOV(Moped,Computer,Healthcare,driving)
So if in TYPE =Goods then in CATALOGUE only Moped and Computer should come for selection
If i select TYPE=Services then in CATALOGUE only Healthcare,driving should come for selection.
Please help me in this regard ,i need the answer by the end of day.

Mail not received sent through SMTP Send Mail Task
Hi,
I have a SSIS package which will send mail notifications. This package is deployed on Integration Services Catalogues as Project deployment. This package having a list of notifications regarding the task status.The receiver end got few
notifications but missed of the notifications. This issue is not frequent. Sometimes we are getting all notifications. Sotimes missing some notification. All these using SMTP tasks with same SMTP connection.
I checked the task status in Standard Reports for all Executions. The task status for all these notification tasks are Success.
What are the possible reasons for this?

If the issue happens sometime only and all executions was run successfully, then the issue should be caused by the SMTP server. The SMTP server may refuse the connections.
To verify the cause, please:
Check SMTP server log
Enable logging for the SMTP task. Check the log after execution

How do I structure Information in three Levels in MDM 7.1?

I am creating a Service Catalogue for a customer. They require three levels in the catalogue: "Packed Services" that are built up by several "Services", that can have several "Supporting Services".
I am thinking of using two main tables, and tuples to create BOS for Packed Service and Service. But how should I take care of the lowest level? They wish to be able to order Supporting Services separatly, so I dont think i can put it in a Qualified field in the Service Main Table.
How about Relationships? Are they on the way out?
Any suggestions? Is there other ways to structure data in MDM 7.1?

Iu2019m trying to get the G/L expense account on the Purchase Order item for a Standard Service Catalog Item. Iu2019ve assigned a valuation class to valuation class field (ESLA-BKLAS) on the Catalog Header (General data sub-window) and also the same valuation class (RMSTLV-BKLAS) in all Standard Service Catalog Items texts (by choosing the Editor option).
Ex:
SSc item Val class
A Main Service A SE01 01 H Service A.01 SE02
02 Service A.02 SE03
A H Service A.02.A SE05
B H Service A.02.B SE04
03 Service A.03 SE06
B Secondary Service SE07
01 Service B.01 SE08
A H Service B.01.A SE09

Unfortunately, none seems to work (no G/L account is automatically determined by the system)

NunoI have the same issue where I have maintained the Valuation class values in the Standard Service Catalogue,
Referenced those SSC items into an outline agreement where I have assigned specific prices... but am required to maintain a Material Group at the Line item level.
Created a PO that references the Outline agreement.
Created a service entry that references the Contract services catalogue items...
... and regardless of the valuation classes maintained either at the Catalogue level (ESLA-BKLAS) or at the editor level (RMSTLV-BKLAS) the GL that comes into the Service entry document is the one from the Contract line level.
Any insight as to where I may gain control on this would be greatly appreciated. -

Is there any way to create Sub line Items Under each Line Items upto 7/8 Levels ???
