  • Difference between Service order and service contract

    Hi
Can any one plz differenciate the service contract and service order??
why only service contract products can carry object list entries and why not service products??
    Thanks in advance.Appriciated with points.
    Regards,
    Nagi Reddy

    Service Order:
A service order is a short-term agreement between service provider and service recipient, in which one-time services are ordered by the service recipient and resource-related billing performed upon completion. Such an order could be, for example, to maintain or repair some equipment, making it necessary to send a technician along with spare parts. These services are usually billed.
    Service Contracts:
Service contracts are outline agreements with business partners which define services offered for a particular period. You support service contracts by processing contract-based and planned services.
Service contracts represent long-term service agreements with customers in relation to the content and scope of services guaranteed within specific tolerance limits for certain parameters, for example, within a predefined timeframe.

  • Follow-up Action in Service Contract

    Hi All,
I am looking for a solution on below scenario to be handled in ECC6.0
I have a service contract for providing services to a customer for an year (Jan 2009 to Dec 2009.)
In Dec 2009 i have created a service notification and Service order with reference to this contract .
Currently as of today Jan 2010 , this contract has expired but my service order / notification is still open.
I would like to know what will happen to Service notification & service order refering to this contract.
Will contract expiration drive the changes required on service notification/order or will it block for further processing.
What standard solution is available to handle such cases in SAP.
    Thanking You,
    sudhi

    Have you tried it??
From memory it gives you a warning message stating that the contract/item are not valid, but it doesn't stop you processing the order/notification

  • Creation of Sales Order and Service Contract from Inbound IDOC

    Hi Experts,
My requirement is to create a Sales Order as well as a Service Contract from one Inbound IDOC. I am getting the Inbound IDOC from a third Party. The message type is ORDERS and Basic Type is ORDERS02. How ever i am using an extension type IDOC which carries all the required data for Sales Order and Service Contract. My requirement is like, to create a Sales Order first.
I have created a Z FM which is attached to the Process Code and subsequently to the message type. Inside the FM i an calling FM 'IDOC_INPUT_ORDERS' for creation of Sales Order. After that i am changing the IDOC data for the Document Type. I am changing the document type which is responsible for Contract Creation.
Then I am again calling the FM 'IDOC_INPUT_ORDERS' for creation of Contract with the help of IDOC data. But here the Contract is not getting created. It's getting failed during the Batch input session.
I need to solve this problem as soon as possible. Please help me. If there are any other options also please share.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Regards,
    Priyabrata

Actually there is problem with BDCDATA. Inside the FM it's calling transaction with help of BDCDATA. If i am creating a Sales order or contract alone its creating successfully. But when i am trying to create both, it's retuning sy-subrc '1001' after calling the transaction on the second attempt. Is there any problem with BDCDATA like we can't handle with less time gap? Please help and give your inputs.

  • Accept Button in Service Contract Quotations

    Hi Experts
The requirement is to create any of the 2 different types of contracts as a follow up from service contract quotation.
I have maintained both the contract types as follow up transactions of service contract quotation through copy control. When I click on Accept button in the quotation, it doesnt show me both the contracts creation option. I know SAP doesnt recommend creating a follow up directly and even if I do it, the pop shows up both the contract types but when i create any of them, the items dont carry over.
In short, I am expecting to get two options when I click on accept but i m not getting it. Is there anything to do in Change process?

  • Error while creating Service Contract

    Folks,
While I create a service contract, I am getting the error:
"An error occurred in system PEC510 during account assignment"
Could someone help me out with this?
    Thanks,
    Divya.

    Hi Divya,
Please check the following in IMG:
CRM -> Transactions -> Settings for Service Processes -> Integration -> Set up time sheet and controlling integration
After that you should enter the corresponding R/3 System. In R/3 customizing use the following path: Settings for Service Processing -> Controlling Integration -> Establish Controlling type, controlling level and controlling scenarios.
Here you should check if a controlling scenario for single object controlling (usually) has been maintained. See also paragraph 3.1.1.10.3 in BP guide C26 at the following location: http://help.sap.com/bp_crmv250/CRM_DE/BBLibrary/Documentation/C26_BB_ConfigGuide_EN_US.doc

  • Error during Replication of Service Contracts from CRM to ECC

    Hi,
I'm encountering a problem when replicating a Service Contract from CRM (I'm using SAP CRM 2007) to ECC.
I insert a first Item which is not relevant for pricing (let say, product 123)
I Insert a second Item relevant for pricing, with reference to the previous one (let say, product 456)
I release the Items and I save the contract
When I try to go in edit mode in the Contract, an error appears:
An error has occured in the system DE1CLNT200 while copying the document
    Message no. CRM_ORDER_MISC 020
    Diagnosis
Errors have occured while transferring the document into another system. Remove the error messages from the enclosed log.
    Transmission log
    u2022     SALES_HEADER_IN has been processed successfully (Notification S V4 233)
    u2022     Material 0 does not exist in plant ZX01 / country CH (Notification E V1 391)
    u2022     Error in SALES_ITEM_IN 000101 (Notification E V4 248)
u2022     Sales document  was not changed (Notification E V4 219)
It seems that the program does not recognize the product (the error message says "Material 0", not "Material 456") ...
    Any idea?
    Thanks in advance,
    Andrea

Should it be a problem related to the leading zeros?

  • Error message when copying a service contract

    Hi Experts,
I'm copying the service contract using TRX CRMD_ORDER. When I save the new contract, a message is displayed "Administration header could not be found 47EABD1F5ADC5B38E1000000C8B91C2F" .
We are using CRM 5.0 SP 09.
Can you help me to understand why this message happens?
    Best regards,

Edited by: Caíque Escaler on Mar 27, 2008 3:18 PM

    Hi Arun,
I wouldn't recommend to deactivate the order_save badi - this may impact the replication process to ECC. This is not what I mentioned. I asked you to check your badi implementations, maybe you are trying to read some GUID that doesn't exist and this is probably a custom code issue.
    Please check the Z implementations.
I would also check where the message error is being raised and check the stack. You may find a Z in the middle of stack.
Let me know if you have any comments.
    Regards,

  • Proforma invoice for Service Contracts

    Hello,
I know the invoice types F5 for order related proforma and F8 for delivery related invoice. Now I'm looking for possibilities to create a proforma invoice based on a Service contract (Order Type WV) as a periodical invoiced sales order.
I tried to use proforma invoice (type F5) with Service contract but the billing plan will be set on status C (completely processed) so that the same period can not be invoiced again with the real commercial invoice. The billing status in the sales order has been changed as well with the proforma, which should not be the case as the proforma should just generate a printout.
Does SAP offer anything or how can I setup customizing to be able to create proforma for periodical sales orders?
    Kind regards
    Rafael

    Hello,
    Thank's for the information.
Finally I tried to copy our existing invoice type and set it up like F5 but the problem is still that the billing plan periods are set to status C - completely processed. The accounting side is OK as no accounting document is being created.
But with this billing plan situation it would not be possible to create first the proforma invoice for one Period and then later create the real commercial invoice for the same period.
Any ideas what I can setup to avoid this problem? I thought of chancelling the proforma after creation so that the billing period will be opened again, but this is no user friendly or professional solution.
Thank's in advance for your ideas.
    Kind regards
    Rafael

  • Service Contract and Repair procedure

    Hi,
I am struggling with a Service mgmt issue.
There is a service contract in which we maintain the terms and conditions of service (bill plan) and also give the rates for service.
Now when i run a repair at plant scenario wherein i bring back the defective matr. for repairs, the service notification is connecting to that contract and takes the contract number.
What is fail to understand is that how do the contract terms and conditions affect the repair process.
The process i am following is as follows:
1)Created a contract for the C/s and material to give service for one year and the customer paid one time for that through billing the Contract type WV.
    2) For the repairs, i did the following
Service notification - repair Order - return delivery of defective matr to service center - Service order creation - carrying the repair (added a spare part also) and technically completed the order - Delivery of repaired matr to customer - Resource related billing request creation (DP90) - Billing the repair order - Settlimg the Service order - Settling the Repair order.
In all this process, i do not find any link between the Contract and repair cycle. Ideally since the customer has paid for the service one time, we should only charge for whatever spare parts are used.
Hope I have been able to explain it. looking forward to any help on this issue
    Thanks
    Arijeet

    HI Arijeet,
conditions and the price agreements for the service material and materials will be picked from the service contract into the repair order.
    regards
    Ravi.

  • Not able to create Service Contract from another svc.contract as followup

    Hi,
I am trying to create a service contract from another service contract as folllow up document as a part of contract renewal process. However, when I click on follow up button, in the popup, not able to the option Service Contract. Hence I am unable to create.
Could you please let me know, what needs to be done such that Service Contract also will be shown in the popup.
    Thanks for all the replies.
    Thanks,
    Sandeep

    Hello Sandeep,
It is not possible to create a follow up service contract (BUS2000112) for another service contract (BUS2000112).
I do not know your business scenario, you can debug method GET_FOLLOWUP_CUST of class CL_CRM_UIU_BT_GET_PROCTYPES and see where the follow-up transaction types are filtered out.
I met similar case before, the solution provided at that time was
    - modify FM CRM_UBB_FILTER_SUC_PROC_TYPE in line 49. You can comment out the following line:
    delete ct_suc_proc_type where process_type = ls_suc_proc_type-process_type.
    Hope this could be helpful.
    Best regards,
    Maggie

  • Not able to edit Service Contract from WEBUI beacause of error

    Hi,
I am trying to edit Service Contract from WEB UI. But, when ever I say edit, it is giving error saying
"Document is being distributed. Changes are not possible".
Can you please let me know, why such error comes..and how to rectify that.
    Thanks,
    Sandeep

    Hi Sandeep,
This happens when the document is distributed to ERP Systems. There are certain Item Categories that are sent to ERP System and only once the confirmations comes from those system you can further process those document.
You won't find any errors there.
You can check the BDOC Entries and then can find the target system where the document was distributed. And then logon onto that system and release that document.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,
    Samantak.

  • Unable to create a service contract from IDoc BLAORD FM IDOC_INPUT_BLAORD

I've been testing creating service contracts using BLAORD and it appears that SAP does not have any way of creating a service contract using IDOC_INPUT_BLAORD. Inside this function a BDC is built and either ME31K or ME32K is called. There is processing that checks the service line package numbers, but it doesn't appear to be creating them (Maybe I'm overlooking something). When the BDC is being built the services screen is ignored. There is a user exit that could be used to populate the BDC for these screens.
I recently had to develop a custom BDC to create service contracts becuase, to the knowledge of our best ABAP-ers, there is no SAP standard functionality to create service contracts programmatically besides using a BDC. My custom BDC will fail when run in background because of a GUI control on the services screen. It runs fine in the foreground. The short dump is 'RAISE_EXCEPTION'. Short text: Exception condition "CNTL_ERROR" raised. Termination is occurring in CL_GUI_DOCKING_CONTAINER->CONSTRUCTOR. We're on ECC 6.0.
I checked the SAP Notes system and I was unable to find anything related specifically to contracts for this issues. I did see that SAP has released OSS notes for other BDC processes so that they would be able to run in background.
I am wondering if there is anyone who currently is able to create service contracts using IDOC_INPUT_BLAORD. My plan is to set up an RFC between SAP systems. The customer wants to be able to receive contracts on demand. Has anyone done this before for service contracts? What has your approach been? Is there anyway of having the function run in foreground when it receives a IDoc?
    Thanks for your input,
    Steve

    Hello Steve,
Did you get a solution to Service Contract (Purchase) creation through BLAORD or through any other FM please?
    BAPI_CONTRAT_CREATE does not handle services.
Have a similar requirement and trying to avoid BDC.
    Thanks & Regards

  • How to link Sales Order with Service Contract and then with Install Base?

    Hi Friends,
    1) I would like to know the integeration process from sales order to Service Contract and then with Install Base.
    2) I couldn't see anything enabled in Service Tab in Order Lines, its grayed out. Is there any set up/profile option to get it enabled?
    3) How can we create AR invoice from Service Contract?
Please let me know if anyone has idea on this.
    Thanks in Adavance,
    Vara

    Dear Sid,
    Thanks for your promt response.
Let me explain you what I did.
    1) I have booked a Bill Only sales order which has one order line, mentioned it as Service Item and provided the same details in Service Tab in Order lines. Now Line status is "Fulfilled"
    2) Then Submitted Workflow Back Ground Process for OM Order Lines and it has created an AR Invoice and closed the line
    3) And then submitted "Service Contracts Order Capture Integration Program" from SErvice Contracts Responsibility and it completed normal.
    4) Now I went in to Launch Contracts Window and queried with the sales order but couldn't see any contract created
    5) Then I went in to Reprocess Order Window and found this order shows an error message as "Referenced Product not present in the Installed Base", then I tried to reprocessed it, but the same error message again.
    Here I have few doubts:
    1) Are the AR invoice and Service Contract Billing Invoices same?
    2) In above scenario AR Invoice has been created, I would like to do the billing from SErvice Contracts and need to create an Invoice in AR? how can I do that?
because as you explained in one of my questions earlier, A Single Invoice can be created for the whole duration of the contract. I want to do that and trying for the same.
    3) Regarding the above error message, how can I resolve it and create the service contract against that Order?
Thank you so much for your helpful answers.
    Regards,
    Vara
