Services in EHP5

Hi
I know that this has been discussed many a times. But still it will be really helpful if someone can share some information regarding which all ESS MSS services will be actually available in WDABAP in EHP5 that are there in WDJAVA. I know that Travel Management is available in EHP2 and Appraisal is available in EHP4. But what about other services like personal information, employee search, leave request, record working time that are in JAVA right now

Manager Self Service MSS EHP5 in Webdynpro ABAP?

Hi All, I have one question. According with the different documents and the OSS Note 1450179 - ESS Based on Web Dynpro ABAP Available as of EHP5 we know that now is possible to use another portal different than SAP portal in order to use the ESS. Right?
But .. what about the MSS? I can´t find info about if the MSS is WEBdynpro ABAP enabled or not. Is it possible to use the MSS with another portal (Websphere) ?
Or is the MSS only for WebDynpro JAVA so that means SAP portal?

According to Note 1588625 - Release information for Manager Self-Services Add-On 1.0, the MSS addon will be release for Portal and NWBC , so if you don´t want to use a porta you can use NWBC but,
How can we call it from a Websphere portal? Is there any integration option using NWBC and Websphere portal?
And in Note 1582553 - Release strategy for the ABAP add-on EA-HR_MSS you can see that now, the availability of EA-HR_MSS is only in controlled availability, and until end of 2011 will not be fully released!!

Issue with new abap webdynpro INBOX EHP5

Hello Experts,
I'm currently working on the configuration of ESS/MSS services in EHP5. We are using different services like Appraisal OSA, Learning solution,etc. I already configured the Launchpad ESS, it's working fine but now I have an issue with the new Abap webdynpro INBOX. The employee and manager see their workitem notifications correctly in their respective inbox.(I'm calling application: IBO_WDA_INBOX that I integrated in my launchpad).
My problem is that when clicking on a workitem in order that it opens me the appraisal document (in edit or display mode), I got an error saying: "There is no iView available for system "": object "SWF_WIOBN". For more information, contact your administrator."
I did some search on SAP help without any results. I'm wondering how should I register workflow tasks? I saw there is a table called IBO_C_WF_TAS (I added entries e.g:
IBO_WDA_INBOX TS99700031   EXECUTEAPPRAISALDOCUMENT).
I tried also to register all my custom tasks in transaction SWFVISU.
example:
TASK: TS99700013
Visualization Type: ABAP Webdynpro
APPLICATION:    HAP_MAIN_DOCUMENT
DYNPARAM   :    sap-wd-configId=HAP_AC_MAIN_DOC
NAMESPACE :    sap

Could you let me know what could be wrong, what I missed? Shall I create an iView, if yes which one? which properties?

Thanks for you reply. Still the same issue. Following are the config I did till now:
In the PCD I created a new business object (SWF_WIOBN), an operation linked to the object (NAVIGATE).
I did create an iView (powl) in the custom folder, I integrated the operation within iView. I created a page that contains the iView.
In the properties of the iView I gave:
Application Name: HAP_MAIN_DOCUMENT.
Launch in New Window: "Display in separate Headerless Portal Window".
System: SAP_ECC_HumanResources
I added the required entries in tables:
IBO_C_WF_TTAS
IBO_C_WF_ACS
IBO_V_WF_TAC
IBO_V_WF_TTAC
etc...
I saw in the code of linked feeder class: CL_IBO_INBOX_FEEDER_WI that it's checking something called "Launch_Editor".. Is it a property that we can set somewhere?
Following are the parameters retrieved by system:
BO_NAME       = SWF_WIOBN
BO_OP_NAME = NAVIGATE
LAUNCHER_PARAMETERS -> empty.??
BO_RESOLVE_MODE = USER_SET_OF_ROLES
LAUNCH_EDITOR empty where must be set?
At the end I still get the error:
There is no iView available for system "": object "SWF_WIOBN". For more information, contact your administrator.

Change Web Service User Language

Hi ,
I need to change my service providers(web service) user (EHP5). After creating endpoint with no authentication using soamanager (which only have username and password option ), system don't let me change default login language in SICF . Before EHP5 I can change username , password and login language using SICF. Do you have any idea where I can change it ?

What HR applications of WDJ can be moved to WDA ?

Dear Guru's,
I will be assigned to an HR project, where my role would be to convert existing Webdynpro Java applications to custom Webdynpro ABAP applications.
It will be helpful, if you can please tell me some specific WDJ application names, that you have experienced in converting to custom WDA applications.
Also, please tell me, what is need to convert WDJ applications to custom WDA applications ? Is it because of version differences ?
What should i concentrate, when i convert them from WDJ to WDA ? For example, when i explore an existing WDJ application, how can i identify a function module call within the WDJ applications ?

Looking after your explanation i beleive that you have a requirement for ESS/MSS.If yes, then It depends on the EHP level you are working. Till EHP 4 we have WDJ versions fully supporting for ESS/MSS. from EHP5 80-90% of applications are in ABAP. Most of the cases I've seen people still working on Java in EHP 5. In such case you will face problem in working with Travel Mgt services. SAP recommends to Migrate from JAVA to ABAP. Apart from these we are still using JAVA services for few more applications/services in EHP5&6 like

Change own data-WDJ
Sec 80 & 80C Deductions - WDJ

Benefits services (WD Java) in EhP5 using NWBC

Hi,
We are using NWBC to acces WDA portal application... They seems to work fine, however, the Benefits applications are still in WD for Java.
Is there a way we can access these Benefits applications using NWBC (for html)? We are using EhP5.
I am told that Benefits services will be available in WDA in EhP6 but thats too long of a wait...
Could anyone suggest how to get around this and what techniques you guys used to get around this problem.

We are thinking about
1) Custom WDA application (more like vanilla flavor) of what SAP is releasing in EhP6
2) Create Adobe Interactive Form to complete enrollment (But I hear you need Java for that and we do not have Javas stack yet)
3) offline form - manual process
But we are not sure what are the precautions for each options...
Are there other options?

Error in EHP5 services

Dear all,
I am facing the error which I think common, but I am facing this in a strange manner. We have deployed EHP 5 ESS package on both sandbox and dev portal. ABAP webdynpro services in EHP 5 are working fine in sandbox portal. But in development portal, they are working fine for Inactive(separated) employees but it throws following error for active employees.(Same services are working fine in EHP 4 ESS role.)
The URL call http://host name:8001/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/HRESS_A_PERSINFO was terminated because of an error.

I checked the system instance and it was down. When I try to start up it manually with startsap, I do not get any error:

I can't find any clue why the system processes are not starting. The phase is the next after kernel upgrade from 700 to 720, so I believe it is related to the switch and maybe my kernel is not correctly updated or something is missing.

I am a FI consulant and now i would like to know the functionalities avialable in SAP ERP 6.0 EHP4 and SAP ERP 6.0 EHP5. So i request you to pleasae check and provide me answers to the below points for my understanding
1. What are the new functionalities added in SAP ERP 6.0 EHP4 on SAP FI side.
2. What are the new functionalities added in SAP ERP 6.0 EHP5 on SAP FI side.Finally what is difference between EHP4 and EHP5, i mean in the point of SAP FI functioanliy.
In the meantime, please provide me the links where i can get complete information on the new functionalities added on FI side in these Enhancement Packages (ie 4/5).

Enhancements packages contains tens to hunderds of new or changed functionalites (called business functions). After installing an enhancement package you can activate the business functions which can be usefull to you.
To have an idea which business function can be usefull, you can use the business function prediction. Based on the (FI) transactions you use in the system, it gives an advice which business functions in an enhancement package should be activated.

Error during Upgrade of ECC 6.0 to EHP5

Hi,
I'm upgrading our ECC 6.0 system to EHP5 (on SLES 11) using SAPup.
The system check is blaming the os version (please see italic text):

So the ERROR message is wrong, the WARNING is correct. It seems the upgrade tool is expecting a version between 2.3 and 2.9. How can I handle this "wrong" error message?

Download the latest versions of the SAP enhancement package installer (SAPehpi) guide and the SAP enhancement package installer tool.
But in the download directory the tool SAPup is mentioned.
So I'm not sure, which tool to use. Sorry.

BAPI_PO_CREATE1 SAP Package EHP5 MM/FI DPC integration Dump CONVT_NO_NUMBER

Hi,
we are starting to use SAP Package EHP5 for MM/FI DPC integration and we have the following effect: BAPI BAPI_PO_CREATE1 (same as BAPI_PO_CREATE) creates 2 short dumps while running.
The program stops at the following point:
i = h-group - 1 in SAP-standard code, cause the variable h-group contains no number ("0EY"), so that it is not possible to add "-1" and the program stops with short dump "CONVT_NO_NUMBER".
If I change content of h-group by debugger to "1" at two points of code:
LMEXFU04 line 67 and
LMEXFF01 line 116
the program goes on running and creates the complete purchase order including services and DPC-chain-number.
Sourc Code at this point:
h-group(1) = '1'.
ENDIF.
i = h-group - 1.
Is this short dump caused by wrong SAP MM/FI DPC Customizing ?

Atul,
The first thing to check whether you already have them installed - ask your ABAP/Basis Team.
If not, you then need to determine whether they are include in any hot packs that you may be installing in the near future - again ask your ABAP/Basis Team..
Lastly - and probably most difficult - check whether you actually need them..
Also be aware that these notes may require that other notes be installed first (i.e. prerequisite notes).

Settings for Purchase Order output using services for MM-SUS scenario?

Dear Gurus,
I am configuring the service procurement classic and plan driven procurement for MM-SUS
environment. We are on SAP SRM 7.01/ECC 6 EHP5.
I need to maintain the below settings for PO output:
1. RUN transaction SWETYPV
2. IN the object types field, enter CL_SE_PUR_WF_OUT.
3. In the event field, enter CREATED.
4. In the receiver type field, enter WS53800008.
5. In the receiver function module field, enter SWW_WI_CREATE_VIA_EVENT_IBF.
6. Select the 'Linkage Activated' checkbox.
7. Save your entries.
Similarly, one more entry for the event CHANGED.
However, the system is not allowing me to save the settings.
If I choose BOR Object Type 'CL_SE_PUR_WF_OUT', it gives an error message 'Object type CL_SE_PUR_WF_OUT is not defined'.
If I choose object category 'Business class for object type CL_SE_PUR_WF_OUT, it gives an error message 'Class CL_SE_PUR_WF_OUT is not a business class.'
There are similar entries in the table SWETYPV for object type CL_SE_PUR_PO_WF_OUT' with object category CL.If we copy the entries and tries to replace the
object type 'CL_SE_PUR_PO_WF_OUT' with CL_SE_PUR_WF_OUT and save it, it gives an error message 'CL is not used for workflow event'.
Could you please help me on how to configure the settings for PO output from ECC system using services?

Error in Team Calendar View in new WD ABAP Lea Req. app in ECC 6.0 EhP5

Hi Gurus,
We have upgraded our ECC system from ECC 5.0 to ECC 6.0 EhP5 recently and deployed new Business Packages for ESS WDA 1.50 and MSS 1.51 which supports new WD Abap applications supplied in EhP 5.
We have configured Leave request application and it is working fine now. But only the issue with Team Calendar View in Leave request. If we click on "Team Calendar" tab it throwing error :

Thanks a lot for your immediate reply..
I have observed that default RFC destinations for IGS exists in SAP when I checked using tnx SM59. i.e IGS_RFC_DEST and
GFW_ITS_RFC_DEST .
When I executed tnx SIGS, IGS administration page is opening properly. Please let me know where else shall I need to check for IGS.
Mean while we will apply SAP notes which u have suggested.

E-REC EHP5 - Prerequisites for MSS user for Create Requisition request

We are implementing E-REC EHP5. As a MSS user when line manager tries to create requisition request on portal, although it takes on a new page called "Stat Processes" we are getting error "no data available" and hence can not proceed on that page. We have assigned R3 role "SAP_RCF_REQUISITION_REQUESTER" to the line manager and on portal we have assigned him MSS user role.
Is there any other prerequisite for the said functionality of Create Requisition request.

In the IMG, navigate to :
Personnel Management -> HR Administrative Services -> Configuration of Forms/Processes -> Process Configuration
-> IMG activity "Test Process"
Enter the process name "HR_MSSRCF_REQUISITION" and execute (F8). You should see the form scenario data in table view. Use the F4 help in the "Field Value" column for those entries where the "Value Help" column is checked. You should get a pop-up with the field values. If not you need to make sure that HR_MSSRCF_REQUISITION iis linked to form scenario S_HRMSSRCF_REQUISITION in table T5ASRPRSCFORM. Also make sure that you have the last SP for the ERP common parts BP 1.51 installed in your portal. Finally assign role SAP_RCF_RECRUITER_ERC_CI_2 and SAP_RCF_MANAGER to your recruiter.

EHP5 Stack File is invalid: component 'EA-HR' (stack release 600 source .

Hi all . . .
Attempting to install EHP5 on ERP ABAP stack. Currently on EHP4 SPS5.
During the configuration roadmap step, the Stack configuration overview told me that "for the following components, a Component Upgrade/Installation and/or Support Packages will be included according to the selected EhP stack configuration . . . " and it proceeded to list the various compoents and their intended releases. During that, I did take note that it wanted to move EA-HR to 600 SPLevel 0059 . . . I was surprised by this, yet I pressed on.
Now, during the Information Gathering phase (PREP_EXTENSION/SUBMOD_EXTENSION_NEW/EHP_INCLUSION) I received the error:
Last error code set: Stack file is invalid: component 'EA-HR' (stack release 600 < source release 604)
I understand that it is trying to tell me that the component is trying to install a release lower than what is already installed. The problem is, I do not know how to go about fixing it.
Any suggestions?

Hello Bryan,
I believe the best and fastest way to have EA-HR upgraded to 605 is to unselect this usage type in MOPZ, regenerate the XML without it, upgrade the rest of the system to EhP5 level and, afterwards, upgrade only EA-HR to 605 level using SAINT.
