Services panel Refresh command fails

I'm unable to make the Refresh command work. I'm attempting to ue it withj BlazeDS, and is currently using version 4 of Blaze. I've used it both with Blaze direclty, as well as running Blaze under Spring. Same problem. I am able to establish the server from scratch, but the Refresh command always fails updating the service. I want to use Refresh after making server side changes (eg, changed the types of some DAOs being passed back from the server, or added some new server methods).
Here's what I get in the error log:
Description Resource Path Location Type
The destination "fooService" used by service "FooService" was not found in the services configuration file. Update the config file and refresh the service in the Data/Services view.
But clearly there's nothing wrong with the "services configuration file", since it works perfectly if I remove the service and then immediately add it back in. So it seems to be something in he FB end that's getting confused.
Any suggestions are most welcome. Re-creating the service (and re-establishing all data management and paging stuff) for every server side change is getting a bit tedious.

Good point here.
Please try to send a small sample. and the series of stes to reproduce the problem because on my sample all seems to work fine. And if possible file a defect with the sample and steps. You can file the defect @ http://bugs.adobe.com/jira
Do mention the following:
1. Versions of Webserver, BlazeDS
2. Attach a sample app which shows the current problem
3. Steps to be followed

Itunes wont open and when re-installed received this msg: Service Apple mob device failed to start.  You have insufficent privileges to start system svc.  Help?

Download Itunes from Apple.com, not from within Itunes.
Redo the install, following the below procedure.   However, when you re-install Itunes,  right click and run the install as administrator.   For Win 7, you have to hold down the cntrl and shift keys when you right click and then "run as administrator" will be an option.
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (Vista, Win 7 & later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order and then restart your computer:

Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)

During Itunes installation on my Windows 7 64 bit computer.. I get the following message which won't allow installation:

Solving the iTunes Installation Problems in Windows
    1. Apple has posted their solution here: iTunes 11.1.4 for Windows- Unable to install or open - MSVCR80 issue.

My computer comes up with Service Apple Mobile Device failed to start verify you have sufficient access privileges dont know to resolve it

These are the instructions I posted to another topic with this same issue.
I had this same thing happen on 2 different laptops. I finally called Apple support and they walked me through the repair. Apparently there are compatability issues with Apple software update and Internet Explorer, so if that is your default browser, you will want to download Google Chrome, Firefox or some other web browser and set it as your default. You will still be able to use IE, if you don't uninstall it, but links from e-mail will open in your new default browser, unless you copy and paste the URL into the web address line.
These are the step-by-step instructions that the tech support person walked me through. She said that it is important that you do these steps in this order.
    1. Go to your Control Panel and open Programs and Features.
    2. Find and uninstall iTunes from the list.
    3. Find and uninstall Apple Software Update.
    4. Find Apple Mobile Device Support and REPAIR this file. This is the problem child, so you must repair it first.
    5. After you have repaired it, uninstall it.
    6. If Apple Mobile Device Support is not removed from your program list, restart your computer and go back into the Control Panel and Programs an Features. If the file is still there, repeat Repair and then uninstall. It should now be removed from the list.
    7. Restart your computer.
    8. Go back into your Control Panel and Programs and Features and then find BONJOUR. Uninstall Bonjour.
    9. Find Apple Application Support and uninstall it.
    10. Restart your computer.
    11. Upon restart, you may receive an "AppleSyncNotifier.exe - System Error" if you have iCloud attached to your account. This is normal and will be fixed when you reinstall iTunes.
    12. Using Google Chrome (or Firefox or Safari) go to www.apple.com and click on iTunes and then find the button to download iTunes. It will now install properly and be usable.
    13. If for some reason you are not able/allowed to change your default browser to something other than IE, then you should uncheck the box to automatically update iTunes during the install process or you may end up having to redo this fix.
Hope this helps everyone with this problem. I have now gone through this process with two of my laptops, both of them with successful results. If this does not work, I strongly urge you to contact Apple for additional assistance.

  • Error Message "Service 'Apple Mobile Device' failed to start"

Tonight I tried to install the latest update for iTunes, only to get the error message "Service 'Apple Mobile Device' failed to start". I tried the installation again with my iPod connected (the only Apple device I own) and it made no difference. So I tried uninstalling and re-installing, and the same error message came up.

Can you give me an idea of what's going on? I'm not super computer savvy, so baby steps, please.  And thanks in advance.
Seems some sort of clash between the installed components and the new installer causes the install to go haywire for some people. I don't have a detailed expanation of why, but I do know that attempting to repair or reinstall iTunes alone in the usual way won't work. You need to work through the steps outlined below. I've updated them a little since yesterday....
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)

    Hey Michael13504,
First, I would try the steps in here:
How to restart the Apple Mobile Device Service (AMDS) on Windows

If you end up having to remove and reinstall iTunes, make sure you follow all of the steps in this link:
Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923
This section contains information that might help your situation, as the order and manner which you uninstall has an effect on the outcome:
Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order and then restart your computer:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
    Apple Mobile Device Support
    Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
