Set automatic time cycle in a event catch timer

I have a event catch timer on human task.
I must set a time cycle using an expression;
I have defined the variable "timeOut" where there is the value in day ( 2 day)
I have tried to use expression --> Xpath and I followed as described in the Oracle documentation
but the timer does not work
How can I do?
Thanks
Elena

Thanks.
I have tried :
1) I have defined in script task a variable expireTime (string type) = concat('PT','2','M') and in event catch time set "time cycle" -->"use expression" --> Xpath --> bpmn:getDataObject('expireString') , so is OK
2) I have defined define in script task a variable timeExpire = 2 (string type) and in event catch time set "time cycle" -->"use expression" --> Xpath --> bpmn:getDataObject(concat('PT', timeExpire,'M')) , but in this case the process hangs
In the second case, where do I wrong ?
Elena
P.S. :
The information on the blog are perfect for my next work. Thanks so much

• Why is it when you set a calender event in outlook 2010 (in UK) with a reminder alarm for 30mins prior) and have the iphone set to keep the appointment time relative to the local country time that you travelled to, the alarm time is still at uk time ?????

why is it when you set a calendar event in outlook 2010 (whilst i am in UK) with a reminder alarm for 30mins prior to the appointment time) and have the iPhone set to keep the appointment time relative to the new country time that i have travelled to (this works OK), the alarm time is still relative to the UK time and not in sync with the local country time like the main appointment is.
Does anyone know the answer please.

This has to do with the Time Zone Support selected in your phone. If you check in Settings>Mail, Contact, Calendars, there is a setting for Time Zone Support at the bottom of the page under Calendars. If that is turned to off, the calendar should support the local time. Because time is set to Automatic (since you say the time is correct on the iPhone), it is reflecting the local time. That information comes from the carrier, not the iPhone itself. You can check, however the iPhone says that if you turn off the Time Zone support, it should reflect in the local time. Do a test, if possible, and see if that will do what you are asking.

I would like to know how can I set songs in iTunes to play at different times automatically during the day. i.e. one song at 10am the other at 10:30am etc..

• In setting up my ICal calendar I have specific times (as new events) that I want to be included in the print out. This doesn't happen.

In setting up my ICAL calendar I have specific times (as new events) for each day. When it prints out the time does not show up (rather its a bar). I would like the time for each appointment to print out. How do I do this?

These are two possible approaches that will normally work to move an existing library to a new computer.
Method 1
Backup the library with this User Tip.
Deauthorize the old computer if you no longer want to access protected content on it.
Restore the backup to your new computer using the same tool used to back it up.
Keep your backup up-to-date in future.
Method 2
Connect the two computers to the same network. Share your <User's Music> folder from the old computer and copy the entire iTunes library folder into the <User's Music> folder on the new one. Again, deauthorize the old computer if no longer required.
Both methods should give the new computer a working clone of the library that was on the old one. As far as iTunes is concerned this is still the "home" library for your devices so you shouldn't have any issues with iTunes wanting to erase and reload.
I'd recommend method 1 since it establishes an ongoing backup for your library.
Note if you have failed to move contacts and calendar items across you should create one dummy entry of each in your new profile and iTunes should merge the existing data from the device.
If your media folder has been split out from the main iTunes folder you may need to do some preparatory work to make it easier to move. See make a split library portable.
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library or a backup then then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device for advice on how to set up your devices with a new library with the maximum preservation of data.

• Date & Time - Set Automatically Not Working

I'm experiencing some very quirky behviour with the time that appears on status bar on the home screen and the world clocks.
Ever since the DST change on the weekend my iPhone no longer acquires the correct time from the network when I have "set automatically" enabled for Date & Time. Prior to this I have traveled through various time zones and the correct time would always be displayed. Even on the World Clocks.
Now the iPhone acquires time that is -1hr. However, all the World Clocks appear correct (even for the local city that I'm in).
If I disable "set automatically" and select the city I'm in everything returns to normal and the World Clocks continue to function.
Since I travel a lot it really bothers me that the set automatically doesn't work and I would really like a long term solution so I can keep it enabled.
In the meantime, can anyone help explain the following:
1. How is time stored on the iPhone? Is it set to local time or GMT with a timezone offset?
2. How does it acquire time and timezone from the carrier?
3. How does it determine the time to display on the status bar and screen saver?
4. How does it determine the time to display for the World Clocks?
I am running firmware 1.1.4

I am currently in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Current timezone is UTC/GMT -5 (CDT - Central Daylight Time).
When date & time is set to automatic, the time in the status bar is incorrect for Winnipeg by -1 hr. All the times in the World Clock are correct (including the display for Winnipeg).
I recall an issue I had when using Bootcamp on my Macbook. The Macbook records system time (and all time stamps) in UTC/GMT but displays the correct time once you specify the timezone offset. This caused problems when booting back and forth with Windows because Windows assumed the system clock was set to the local time (I now use VMWare Fusion). This issue was well documented on the Apple site.
I'm assuming the iPhone behaves similar to my Macbook and Mac OS and expects the system time to be set as UTC/GMT. The behaviour I'm experiencing suggests the UTC/GMT time is actually being set correctly on the iPhone (otherwise, the world clocks wouldn't display the correct time) but the timezone offset is incorrect for Winnipeg (which determines how it's displayed in the status bar).
I did some significant troubleshooting last night and gathered some data to further explain the problem. However, I fear that if I post it publicly the thread may be deleted.

• The date and time on my iPhone 5s is incorrect when I select Set Automatically. How can I resolve this?

My iMessage and FaceTime, among other apps, are unable to activate for some reason. Other forums have suggested I make sure my date and time are correct and are Set Automatically. I noticed that the time zone, date, and time are all incorrect. Any suggestions??

I'm sorry this is happening, loucm. When did this start? Please try resetting Network Settings. You can go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
Please keep us posted.

• How do I set up calendar events that will be for another time zone? My events shift once I travel

How do I set up calendar events that will be for another time zone? My events shift once I travel. The same is true when I am traveling and in another time zone, how do I best set up my events so they are in the correct time slot upon my return?

Basically, if your client does not have a Mac then don't use iWeb to create the site. iWeb is Mac only and if a client wishes to make alterations, then they need the domain file.
If your client needs to update on a weekly basis, then why not consider using one of the online website creation packages where you can log in from any Mac or PC. This would be simpler and there are lots out there - Microsoft Office Live or Google or something like http://www.wix.com where you can create a site and use a domain name with it.
Look at the alternatives before using iWeb.

• Date & Time Set Automatically locate me in China!

I upgraded my iTouch 4G to iOs 5 the other day. A couple of days later, in the middle of the night, the time zone switched to Shanghai and I missed my doctor's appointment because the iPod thought I was in China. Now, I live in Reykjavík, Iceland, nowhere near China. What the heck has happened? I switched 'Set Automatically" off and set it to Reykjavík and it works fine. Still, when I use the Facebook app my location is Shenyang, Liaoning, China!
Is this an iOs 5 glitch or what the heck is going on? I've tried it over a different wifi and it's the same thing.

I am currently in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Current timezone is UTC/GMT -5 (CDT - Central Daylight Time).

• IPhone 5 won't hold Date & Time "set automatically."

Date & Time, when "set automatically," arbitrarily resets itself to a date and time in August.
Setting Date & Time manually works fine.
There is a thread on this glitch on the Apple Forums. It's happening in all time zones.
Apple says it's a Verizon issue.
Verizon claims it's an Apple software problem.
Anyone got a definitive answer for this?

This is the same info I posted in the Apple forum about my attempts to resolve this issue so far...
So this is what I have tried...
Turn off Auto Time and set time manually.... Fail
Reset All Settings (under General menu).... Fail
Leave disconnected from Wi-Fi.... Fail
Restore software and set up from back up.... Fail
Restore and set up as new phone... Fail
Replace phone at Apple Store... Fail
Replace sim card at Verizon store.... Fail
Restore firmware using a fresh downloaded file... Fail
Restore firmware and set up from scratch with a new iTunes account without downloading any apps, contacts or anything.... Fail
I have verified the date/time settings on my 2 month old MacBook Pro I use to sync phones
I have verified the date/time settings on my Linksys router (not that that matters because the time changes when its not connected to the router)
All of the above has been done on both a white and a black 16gig iPhone 5 on Verizon...
The date/time for both is always behind 14 days 18 hours 48 minutes and 19 seconds so that tells me it is keeping time with something... Lets collectively compile all this info so we can get to the bottom of this problem and get it worked out quickly

• Trigger Process chain at set time or when an event is raised.

Hi All,
I have a requirement where a process chain should get scheduled at fix time, say at 1:00 AM. Also, it should get scheduled when an event is raised by one BSP application. So, its like Set time OR Event should trigger the chain. Can you please guide, how can i implement this without using a special SM37 job?
Thanks and Regards,
Harpal

Hi Gohil,
The steps to create an event is as follows:
1. Create the event with SM62.
2. In the process chain, maintain your Start process. In the change selections screen, choose the button 'After event'. On the bottom, select your event. Click also on 'Periodic job'.
3. Activate and schedule your process chain. It will then be visible in SM37, waiting for the event.
4. Then you may raise this event from any ABAP program with function module BP_EVENT_RAISE. Each time you raise the event the process chain will start. You can raise the event also manually with SM64.
If you want to fix a time i.e., at 1:00 A.M, you need to got RSPC tcode --> click on the chain --> right click on Start variant --> Click on maintain variant --> Change selections --> Click on Date/Time --> Give the date and time.
If you want to ru7n your chain daily or weekly like periodically, check Periodic Job and click on "Period Values" and select accordingly. Now save everything and click on start variant and activate and schedule your chain.
Also check below thread for more info on Event:
Triggering a Process Chain From R/3 pgm

• My iphone time keeps messing up even though its on "set automatically" and i dont know how to fix it

my iphone 5cs' time keeps messing up even though its set to "set automatically" the time doesnt change and i have no idea how to fix it. any help please?

I'm having the EXACT same problem! I have a great wifi connection and it all started right after I updated it.
I took it to the AT&T store and all they said that they could do for it was a "soft restart" which is where you hold down the lock button and the home button UNTIL you see the apple logo. And I did this like 4 times and it still messes up. When I turn it off and turn it on its fine for a few minutes but it slowly starts messing up again.
And I'm also having several glitches. Like when I just received a text message when my phone was locked I slid it and put in my pass code then it like turned off and turned on my phone. And sometimes the messages that I send disappear from my side even though I sent them. If I turn it off then back on it's there. And also sometimes when I text a person and hit send it like backs me out of the messaging system(it still sends the message right then) and back to the home screen.
I called 1-800-myiphone and the lady did a "soft restart" which they call a "hard restart" and it worked for like 35 minutes and then it messed up again. And my iCloud isn't backing up my stuff so it's not like I can just completely reset my phone.

• Setting the time automatically, or manually yet still gives wrong time.

Ever since I've updated my 5c, the time keeps messing around. It's never the right time. I've tried manual and also set it automatically. It keeps delaying in time and gives wrong hour/minutes. I cannot set the alarm or do anything because the time is just wrong. I don't have a problem with my other apple devices regarding the new software update, it's just with this phone.

Hello Basilsami,
It sounds like your phone is not keeping the correct time and date, either when set to automatic, or manual. I recommend these troubleshooting steps from the article named:
iOS: Troubleshooting issues with date and time
http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3920
Follow these steps. Test after each step to see if the issue is resolved.
Ensure that the version of iOS on your device is up to date.
If the option to enable date and time automatically is available, turn it on. Tap Settings > General > Date & Time.
Ensure that your time zone is set up correctly. Tap Settings > General > Date & Time > Time Zone.
If the incorrect date, time, or time zone is being set up automatically on the device, please notify your cellular provider. In the meantime, tap General > Date & Time and turn off Set Automatically. Then set the appropriate time and time zone manually.
Note: The option to set automatically might not be available on all carriers in all countries.
Additional Information
Note: If you find that your device's time is incorrect after you sync with your computer, your computer's time may be incorrect. Verify the computer's time in System Preferences > Date & Time (you may want to select the checkbox to set the computer's date and time automatically).
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
All the very best,
Sterling

I can't get the iMessage or FaceTime to work on my iPod touch. I updated to the latest iOS. I have ensured restrictions are off and 'Set Automatically' is selected under date & time settings. I can enter my apple ID, but it bounces back to the first login screen.

• The time setting is gone, when arrange an event, only whole day events are possible...?

I have the problem since Maverick with my ICAL. When i start an event the time set "from" and "to" has gone...
Don't know what happened...
Thank you in advance...

Hi,
Try resetting the date and time format to the one for your locality. Open System Preferences > Language & Region > Advanced and set the 'Format Language' option to your local one.
Best wishes

• Date & time : no 'set automatically' anymore....

Hi,
I don't have the 'set automatically on/off' toggle in 'settings/General/Date and Time' anymore.Does anybody else noticed that too ?
Does that mean you will have to change manually the Timezone each time you travel to another country ? This setting was very handful.

Hi,
I believe, this has something to do with your carrier.
I have 2 SIM cards from the 2 official carriers in Denmark. If I use Telia -> I can use "automatic" mode
If I use Telenor -> The setting is missing.
I just tried this test: Use Telenor and change the time way off, turn off and change SIM card.
Turn back on, and check the setting - which is set to automatic
After some time (perhaps a turn off/on) I was looking at the battery page (Slide to unlock) and then the time changed.
I have compared the 2 .ipcc files and there is a setting which differs:
<key>SupportsNITZ</key>
<true/>
or <false/>
The "true" setting is from the SIM card which can auto update the time.
The "false" setting is from the SIM card which can't auto update the time.
