Set/change dynamic header configuration from ABAP Proxies

This question is with reference to Async ABAP Proxies.
Is it possible to set or change dynamic configuration header of an outbound (client) proxy, from within an inbound (server) proxy ? If it is, how do I do it?
Can someone please advise?
Thanks,
Badari

I am sorry to have to say, that this is not possible.

  • Was there a change in method names for ABAP Proxies ???

    Hi all,
    i am wondering if there was a change in the method names when using ABAP proxies.
    In my projects there were always the methods execute_synchronous and execute_asynchronous when generating proxies.
    In a current project i created some ABAP proxies and the method names are not the same any longer. Now the method takes the name of the Message interface. I observed this in Backendsystems NW2004s (Basis 7.0) with SP14 and 15. It seems that it has changed since the sproxy was integrated in SE80.
    Can anybody tell me, how i can use the "old" method names again when generating proxies ?
    Best regards,
    martin

    Actually i guess they did in more SOA way. If u see it says connecting to ESR rather than integration repository.
    Yes. In order to allow several operations for a message interface, the methods of the ABAP proxies get the operation name as method instead of a constant (the Java proxies alwas had this behaviour).
    could u pl highlight what other operations are allowed on message interface rather than sending a message to the XI either in synchronous or asynchronous manner?

  • Need feasible one from Abap Proxies or RFC Adapters

    Hi Experts,
    I have two ways to do my scenario, either I can go for RFC adapter or ABAP server proxies. Out of these two I can't judge which one is good at performance.But I have a favour on ABAP proxies. Please comment on this and it would be more helpful if u provide related document on this.
    Thanks

    Hi.
    As far as i have read and known, ABAP Proxies are best for performance.. Lets see what the other gurus say too .

  • How to set variant for ALV grid from ABAP

    Hello,
    I have a program which displays some data with ALV grid. Then after some operation I would like to set different layout for the grid, but not by choosing it manually but by the program. I thought that it would be enough to use the method SET_VARIANT, so I'm setting DISVARIANT structure properly, using SET_VARIANT method and after that I'm calling REFRESH_TABLE_DISPLAY but layout is not changed. What else should I do? Is that possible?

  • Dynamic Header Configuration

    Hi,
    I am having a requirement in which, based on the value of a source node I need to decide what the destination address should be.
    E.g.: If source node, Name = sap01, then my message should reach the target with url as http://sap01/Storage/Upload.asmx
    In this manner there would be two more conditions. This logic has to be implemented using a DynamicHeaderConfiguration in a mapping.
    This is to be used on a SOAP receiver side in SAP-PI.
    Please provide pointers on how to solve this.
    Thanks,
    Abhishek.

    Hi,
    In this scenario it is expected that I achieve the logic in the mapping itself and that there is no need of implementation of any adapter module in the CC (confused with this part).
    I have written an UDF to extract the Server name:
    DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration) map.get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
    DynamicConfigurationKey key = DynamicConfigurationKey.create("http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/SOAP", "TServerLocation");
    serverName = (String) conf.get(key);
    return serverName;
    Now my question is how to implement the part:
    1) If Server name = sap01 then message should be sent to url = http://sap01/sdn/forum/exchange.asmx
    2) If Server name = sap02 then message should be sent to url = http://sap02/sdn/forum/exchange.asmx
    3) If Server name = sap02 then message should be sent to url = http://sap03/sdn/forum/exchange.asmx
    I am using a SOAP receiver adapter; SAP PI 7.1
    Thanks,
    Abhishek

  • Dynamic Configuration from Client ABAP Proxy

    Hello Experts,
    Is it possible somehow to set Dynamic Configuration values to Message Header when calling Client ABAP Proxy from SAP system?
    Best Regards

    I managed to get the dynamic header configuration at least with inbound proxies:
        DATA:
            server_context TYPE REF TO if_ws_server_context,
            proxy_framework TYPE REF TO if_proxy_framework,
            internal_protocol TYPE REF TO if_wsprotocol_internal,
            lo_inb_pxy TYPE REF TO cl_xms_inbound_proxy_plsrv,
            lo_dyn_header TYPE REF TO if_xms_msghdr30_dynamic.
          server_context = cl_proxy_access=>get_server_context( ).
          internal_protocol ?= server_context->get_protocol( 'INTERNAL' ).
          lo_inb_pxy ?= internal_protocol->get_framework( ).
          lo_dyn_header ?= lo_inb_pxy->xmb_message->get_dynamic_header( ).

  • Merging of 2 Cells in WD ABAP ALV Header & Dynamically change the header

    Hello Experts,
    I have two main requirements with respect to WD ABAP - ALV report creation
    1) Two feilds in the  header of ALV GRID created in the WD ABAP screen must be merged as shown below(Month Column) ,
    |     January         |     February         |
    |   Col 1 | Col2      |   Col 1 | Col2        |
    2) The header value(Month) should dynamically change based on the current date.
    For Eg: If June 2011 is the current month , the ALV table should start from June 2011 and displayed till May 2012.

  • Possible to set Dynamic Config from ABAP Proxy

    Hi,
    I know how to get and set Dynamic Config from Java/XSLT mappings and adapter modules. But I want to do this from an outbound ABAP Proxy Call (in the same way I can set the serialization context for EOIO), is that possible?
    The scenario is: I have an interface; Proxy -> Xi -> ftp, with no mapping. It seems unnecessary to introduce a mapping just to set some dynamic config values for the receiving adapter which are already known at the outbound proxy call...
    rgds Johan

    Hi Bhavesh,
    In the thread you mention it is shown that you can set Dynamic Config properties during an ABAP mapping. My question was if I can set these properties already in the proxy call? Or did I miss something?
    Of-course I can introduce a dummy mapping in Java/XSLT/ABAP which copies the source message to the result message and sets the dynamic config properties, but I would rather not introduce a mapping if not neccessary...

  • How to configure drop-down that change dynamically in Call Scripts

    Hi,
    Would like to know as how to configure drop-down choices that change dynamically based on customer response in Call Scripts / Assessment Scripts of type "Service Request - Survey".
    I've read the following from CRM OnDemand pdf but was not able to figure out how to do that.
    Call Scripting:
    • Reduces agent training time
    • Provides drop-down choices that change dynamically based on customer response
    • Supports personalized interactions based on existing record data
    • Facilitates up-selling and cross-selling
    • Does not require third-party software
    I don't have a concrete requirement as of now, but was trying to check as how it works. Please guide me if any one has implemented the same.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Cheers!!!
    Deepak Veeravalli.

    Arun,
    If you plan to implement the "Querying the Active Directory" based on my code snippet,
    and if you do not have permission [your account must be the part of domain admin] to do so,
    Then still you can do it in least effort through code,
    string usersInXml = SPContext.Current.Web.AllUsers.Xml;your xml string look like this.
    <Users><User ID="2" Sid="" Name="Administrator"
    LoginName="i:0#.w|murugesan\administrator" Email="" Notes="" IsSiteAdmin="True" IsDomainGroup="False" Flags="0" /><User ID="1" Sid="" Name="Murugesa Pandian" LoginName="i:0#.w|murugesan\murugesan" Email="" Notes="" IsSiteAdmin="True" IsDomainGroup="False" Flags="0" /><User ID="1073741823" Sid="S-1-0-0" Name="System Account" LoginName="SHAREPOINT\system" Email="" Notes="" IsSiteAdmin="False" IsDomainGroup="False" Flags="0" /></Users>
    You can user Linq to XML to filter the "LoginName,Name and Email and then populate your drop down list.
    * User must be logged into the site at least once.
