Set Custom4 based on filename

Hi, I need to overwrite the custom4 in the file which is imported to FDM based on the last 6 digits in the filename.
vCustom4 = right(strFile,6)
These 6 digits then need to be set as Custom4 (and replace whatever there might be as c4 already in the file).
Where and how do I do this?
Thanks

This substitution can be done in one of 2 ways:
1) Via an import script attached to the C4 dimension
2) In a conditional map attached to the C4 dimension
If processing large volumes of data option1 is probably the most performant

  • FTP Transfer: based on filename it needs to be moved to different directory

    Hi,
I am doing a FTP transfer of file from one location to another. In this scenario, based on filename the file needs to be moved to Directory A or Directory B.
Is this possible having a single receiver file adapter?
    Regards,
    Ashish

    Hi Ashish
    What you can do is
    1. You can pick the file from location and use variable substitution to deliver the file on base of filename. But the limitation is folder name should have some characters common to filename as well.
    2. You can write file to a temperory location and then execute OS command to move the files to appropriate folders
    3. Create two communication channels and enhanced receiver determination to find our which folder based on filename at runtime.
    Thanks

  • Extending flash: how do I set default values for filenames

    Hi,
I am trying to set default values for filenames
<choosefile> and <popupslider>s that will show up when
my XMLpanel first loads in my jsfl extension file. It seems that I
can only set default values for textbox items.
How do I do this for filenames and popups?
As a workaround, I also tried using a flash object dialog box
to look like a <choosefile>, or any jsfl command, but then
how do I return those values back to the XMLpanel that calls them.
and pass the data back to my jsfl script.
lemme know if you know a way,

Create two constants for the Allocate Mode input (right click > create > constant). Place one in the true case of the case structure, and place the other one in the false case. Wire them to the same tunnel (border of the case structure), then wire the tunnel to the Allocate Mode terminal of the AO Config. I don't have Traditional DAQ installed, but that should do it.

  • Why is Spotlight not finding images based on filename?

I have 25,000 photos that I have meticulously named, but when I try to do a Spotlight search based on filename, nothing shows up.  For example, if I type "Disney," then about 200 photos with "Disney" in the file name should appear, but they don't. I can find the images on my own, for example "091012 CA Disney Family Vacation2," but Spotlight can not. Why?

    Hi there tau_ataina,
Based you the issue you are describing, you may need to re-index Spotlight. Take a look at the article below for more information.

  • How to automate layer stack creation including layer masks based on filename?

    Hi
Can someone help me to create a script that would automate the creation of layers including a layermask, based on filenames.
    E.g.
    Unwrap_001_diffuse.jpg
    Unwrap_001_mask.jpg
    Unwrap_002_diffuse.jpg
    Unwrap_002_mask.jpg
The image with the suffix "_diffuse" would be the layer and the image with the suffix "_mask" would be the layermask.
In the above example the script would create 1 psd with 2 layers.
If there is no file with the ending "_mask", the script would only create a single layer with no layermask.
Any help would be highly appreciated.
    Thank you
    Boris
    I

For starters the Folder-selection dialog could be used if the images are all in one Folder.
    var theFolder = Folder.selectDialog ("select folder");
And then the method getFiles could be used to get the files.
    var theFiles1 = theFolder.getFiles("*_diffuse.jpg");
Loading the file as Layers can be done with the ScriptingListener code for File > Place for example and finding the corresponding mask files seems fairly easy.
    Are they grayscale or RGB?
    But why jpg anyway?
    Are those renderings?
If so why not tiffs or some other non destructively compressed file format?

  • Calculate Set membership based on Group Membership

I know this has been asked before, but I haven't really found a clear answer to the problem - so here's me re-igniting the fire!
I want to calculate set membership based on group membership? So, I have a set called "My Set" - its members should be all the members of the group "My Group" (The group is a Manual group, not a criteria based one). I know that Sets cannot
refer to Groups when using "Resource ID" - bummer!
I guess this can be done using a custom action WF which triggers whenever a member is added to the Group and goes and it goes and updates the Set with the ExplicitMember reference, but I'm wondering if there's a more elegant solution using some OOTB activities?
    Thanks

I've done this using a custom WF, but still curious to see if there is some other way around it.
For those interested, the custom workflow gets the member being added from the request, and adds it to the set - fairly simple really. I'm using the FIM PowerShell WF activity for this, in conjunction with the fantastic FIM PowerShell Module

  • Setting colors based on values in charts

    Hello
Can anyone please provide some information on how to set colors based on certain values in the data object in Charts. I have a pie chart and we would like to show a certain color for some values (if the data object has a value of 0, for those slices in the pie chart, we want to show Red color). I tried creating a calculated field setting some HTML using an IF expression. I am not able to select the category for this calculated field as HTML under Value Format tab. Is this something that is possible in a pie chart?
    We are using BAM 10.1.3.3
Thanks in advance for your help.

This feature is not available for charts at the moment. For list views, the way you were trying is the way to go, you will have to create a calculated field with HTML that shows a color image based on the value in any of the columns, and finally, select that calculated field as one of the fields of the report.

I created a WebHelp project by linking to a FrameMaker 12 book. After first generating the output, the TOC and index were not included although they were part of the book. • How to Set URL-Based Session Tracking to No

    Dear BSP Gurus
I am fairly new to BSP applications, but I am getting an error which goes "BSP exception: Access to URL /sap(bD1lbiZjPTEwMCZkPW1pbg==)/bc/bsp/sap/crm_ui_frame/ is forbidden" and notice some say they solved it by Setting URL-Based Session Tracking to No, so my question is how do I do that.
Unless off course there is another way to solve my problem. Would greatly appreciate it.
    Awaiting your favorable response

    Hey Raja and Rajani
I actually activated all the applications below SAP->BC->->SAP-> **(Application)*->  but still I am getting that error.
When I then test the individual applications I get errors like
"BSP Exception: Das Objekt default.htm in der URL /sap/bc/bsp/sap/bp_cont_main/default.htm?sap-client=100&sap-sessioncmd=open ist nicht gültig"
I really have run out if ideas, I need your assistance, initially I thought it cd be the logical link coz the work centres appear fine then I tried to assign even standard business roles, its giving the same error.
    What do I do now?

  • Setting save directory and filename based on fillable form fields.

    Hello,
I'm new to .pdf development in Acrobat. I'm trying to create a form which allows users to fill in data, then save a copy of the form to a directory and file name which will be based upon several of the fields in the document. Is this method of saving possible? I've tried a script but can't seem to make the process work.
    Thanks for the help!

It's possible, but the code that does the actual save (using the doc.saveAs JavaScript method) needs to be in a folder-level JavaScript file and further in a trusted function and app.beginPriv/app.endPriv block:
    http://acrobatusers.com/tutorials/how-save-pdf-acrobat-javascript
    http://livedocs.adobe.com/acrobat_sdk/11/Acrobat11_HTMLHelp/JS_API_AcroJS.89.173.html
or in a certified document that the user chooses to trust to execute privileged code. If you've done either of these, can you post the code you're using?

  • Automate Creation of Folder based on Filename

    Hi,
I am a total newbie to Automator, and although I have some programming background, I have not wrapped my brain around how this wonderful tool works yet. I need to perform a task on several hundred files and I need to do it soon, so no time to learn and play with Automator right now.
I was wondering if someone can give me a true step by step instructions for creating a script that will do the following:
This is how I would like the flow to behave:
    1. I select a file and run the script (hopefully based on a keystroke). The script will then:
    2. Create a new folder in the same directory as the file.
    3. Name the new folder based on the filename (minus the extension) of the above selected file.
    4. Move the selected file into the new folder.
So basically I am enveloping the selected file in a new folder that is named the same as the file itself (minus the extension).
    Thank you in advance.

OK, I reworked and tested it, so I think I've got all the oddities found. I wound up just using an AppleScript, since about the only thing Automator was used for was getting Finder Items (and it didn't do so well at that). Paste the script into the Script Editor and save it as an application (make sure the Startup Screen option is unchecked). You can either drop items on it or double-click it, in which case it will prompt for items. Document files are the only things processed, and packages/bundles are handled correctly (getting subfolders will not go into them), so you don't have to worry about things like application bundles and .rtfd files.
