with best regardshello,
You did not set the variable JAVA_HOME. Set it to the home directory where the jdk is installed. For that give the command like set JAVA_HOME=C:\jdk1.3.1 in the DOS Prompt along with setting the J2EE_HOME and PATH variables...
you may also make a new system environment variable JAVA_HOME and assign the jdk home path to it so that u need not set it everytime for a new DOS Window..
hope that helps..

  • Newbie Q: Setting scripts to run on Start Application

    Please help!
    CS3 says you just check the Enable Events to Run Scripts/Actions checkbox and choose Photoshop Event: Stat Application to run your script on startup but for me it's like Photoshop has had it's memory wiped if I close it and reopen it!
    The Script Event Manager looks like it does when you've only just installed Photoshop.
    How do I get PS CS3 to remember my choices so it runs my setupWorkspace script when it opens?
    It's my first ever PS script, design to compensate for the fact that even though PS shows that my saved workspace is the current one on restart up it is in fact the default workspace until I reselect it from the Workspace menu.
    I'm on a MacBook Pro and my scripts are in a folder, which I created and chose in PS using Browse to path, called Users/myName/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CS3/Presets/Scripts
    Would love to get in to scripting but if I can't even get scripts to run I'll be v sad.

    Here is how to attach a script to an event:

  • 'JAVA_HOME is not set' error while running icommand via cront in Linux

    Hi all:
    I'm trying to run icommand to execute .sh, I can execute manually successful but I want to run in automaticlly. so I choose 'cront' command. however, there's an error out while using crontab -e as below:
    ERROR: JAVA_HOME is not set. Please set JAVA_HOME and run this command.
    What strange is, it's OK while running the shell manually but failed via 'cront' command. Does anyone can help me to resolve it?
    Thanks in advance.
    the shell is below:
    #!/bin/sh##
    /fmw/Oracle/Middleware/Oracle_SOA1/bam/bin/icommand -cmd export -name "/LAEH_Core_Framework/Data_Object/laehDataObject" -file "/fmw/bamExport/abc.xml"
    echo "111"

    Let me guess:
    When you export manually you don't do it as root right?
    when you use your scripts via crontab it is possible that a variable (in this case JAVA_HOME) is not set (for the user root).
    So you probably have to check whether JAVA_HOME exists when your logged in as root.
    I hope this helps

  • Do we require OC4J started before running reports

    I noticed that starting and stopping OC4J path in Developer Forms and Reports is the same.
    For Forms I have to start the OC4J before running forms.
    Is that a requirement even for reports or it't not necessary. The reason I was curious is, because, if reports does not need it, then why it appears even in the reports developer --> sub menu
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello,
    The Reports Builder uses its own "in-process reports server". It is configured by rwbuilder.conf.
    So, if you execute the reports from the Reports Builder, you don't need to start the OC4J.
    But if you want use the "Reports Servlet", it will be necessary to start it.

  • Need to call SET ROLE for Oracle before running report

    Hi all,
    does anyone know how I can call SET ROLE for Oracle with Crystal Reports, before running report? I'm using Crystal Reports 2008 to design report (with Server Oracle connection) and Java Reporting Component to run report within a J2EE apllication. If anyone has any idea, I'd greatly appreciate as I'm in trouble.
    Thanks a lot.

    Just a thought...
    If your report's datasource was an Oracle stored procedure, you could call a function to set the role from that SP
    You would be in the same Oracle session from  Report --> SP --> Function, so the role would be retained

  • I have to back up the disc before running Bootcamp?

    I need to run Windows on my computer by tomorrow morning for a job.
    I'm working on a MacBook Pro (Mac OX S version 10.6.8).
    I am very computer illterate and was told to set up Bootcamp.
    When I try to start up Bootcamp it gives me two options before proceeding:
    Download the Windows Support software for this Mac.
    I have the Mac OS X installation disc that came with my Mac or I have already downloaded the Windows support softer for this Mac to a CD, DVD, or external disk.
    I keep choosing the second option because when I choose the first option I am given an error that reads, "The Window Support Software is not available."
    When I choose the second option I get an error that reads, "Back up the disk and use Disk Utility to format it as a single Mac OS Extended (Journaled) volume. Restore your information to the disk and try using Boot Camp Assistant again."
    I don't know how to do - I don't have an external hard drive, however, most my files are stored on flashdrives and Dropbox (just in case my computer ever happens to crash).
    So basically, can someone walk me through how to set this up? It's a bit of an emergency.
    I've tried looking up solutions to this problem but become a bit overwhelmed (like I said, "computer illiterate") and can't follow along with the advice.
    If anyone could write a possible solution in a kind of step-by-step format, then I'd be very grateful.
    Thank you so~ much to anyone who may reply.

    That error message tells you that you have more than one partition on your hard disk, so you have to delete it before running Boot Camp.
    1. First of all, if you have important data on that volume, copy it to the first partition before doing anything. You can access to that volume on Finder sidebar.
    2. Open Disk Utility, select your hard disk at the top of the sidebar and go to Partition tab.
    3. You will see a partitions bar with all the partitions of your hard disk. Select the last partition and press - button to delete it.
    4. Then, click at the bottom right corner of the first volume and drag it to the end of the bar, so your OS X partition will use all the space of the hard disk. Finally, press Apply.
    5. Close Disk Utility, open Boot Camp Assistant and follow the steps to install Windows.
    I give you some notes for the Windows installation:
    Boot Camp will create a FAT partition; however, Windows Vista and Windows 7 requires a NTFS partition, so on the partitioning screen (it will appear during the Windows installation), you have to select "BOOTCAMP" volume, press "Options" and choose "Format". When it finishes, press "Next" and Windows installation will start.
    After installing Windows, you have to install the Boot Camp drivers. Just insert the Snow Leopard DVD and follow the steps to install the drivers. They will give compatibility for all the hardware of your Mac, so you won't have any problem with Windows.
    After installing Windows, your Mac will always start into Windows by default. If you want to start into OS X, press X key while your Mac is starting. If you want to start always into OS X, press X key while your Mac is starting, open System Preferences > Startup Disk, and choose "Macintosh HD".
    If you do this last step, to start into Windows, you only have to press Option key while your Mac is starting and choose "Windows".
    If you want all the detailed steps to install Windows, you can print this PDF > http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/Boot_Camp_Install-Setup_10.6.pdf

    You are asking questions about Windows batch scripting in a Java forum?
    When you get right down to it, the question is "How do I set an environment variable in a batch script", isn't it? Free your mind from useless distractions: the batch script and the operating system don't care at all what you're going to use that environment variable for.
    Oh yeah, I almost forgot: you use the SET command to set an environment variable.

  • OATS CPU does not support the SSE2 instruction set required to run JRockit

    Hello,
    I am trying to get the OATS agents to work on some injector machines, however, when I try to start them I get the following error:
    "[ERROR] Your CPU does not support the SSE2 instruction set required to run JRockit.
    Could not create the Java Virtual Machine."
    Is there a way to configure OATs to use the Sun JDK instead? I have the Sun JDK in my path and JAVA_HOME set accordingly, however that doesn't seem to make a difference. Alternatively, is there a workaround to this problem?
    Thanks,
    Michael.

    Hi Tab,
    In this case, SQL Server Analysis Services doesn’t support Distributed Transactions by design. Here is a similar thread about this issue for your reference, please see:

    One workaround is that use SQLCMD to execute the EXEC AT command and saved the results to a file, then import using SSIS.

  • MP4 imported is cropping too tightly before I ever start editing

    last weekend, I took a video with my Motorola Droid Razr MAXX and transferred it to my Win 7 PC.  The file runs fine on both my phone and in mp4 format on my computer, but I wanted to use Premiere Pro 5.0 to do some subtitling.
    I've had no problems in the past importing video from my webcam or from DVD, but as soon as I imported it into Premiere Pro 5.0 , It's doing odd cropping before I ever start editing.  I'm getting everyone's chest and hips and losing their heads and feet.  What am I setting up wrong that it would crop like this before I ever start to edit?
    I fully admit that I don't know WHAT to pick on that first screen that pops up asking what kind of format I want to use, so it's quite possible that I'm just picking the wrong one there (it defaults to DV-NTSC Widescreen 32 KHz).  I've tried a couple of the options under DV-NTSC (whatever that stands for) but they all seem to do this cropping.  There are so many options on that first panel that I'd just be guessing...and this might not even be the problem.
    In case a picture is worth a thousand words, I've put a screen print of my Premiere screen at www.improventures.com/temp/temp.htm where it's easier to read than below .
    Thanks!  Milo

    Wanting to make sure I followed that.  #22 said, "open file into quicktime, goto save as, save as refrence video. Done"
    Are you saying I should open the original mp4 file in Quicktime and save it as a "reference file" before importing to Premiere?
    If so, two problems with this:
    1)  The mp4 video plays poorly in Quicktime to begin with.  It looks choppy, like a Charlie Chaplin film.  Guessing that outputting from that would be poor as well.
    2)  The "Save As" option seems to be a function of the Pro version that I don't have.
    I can understand how the phone version could be a problem if the mp4 it produced didn't play so nicely in Adobe Media player.
    Seems strange that that should work but that importing it into another Adobe product is so clunky.
    Last night, i stayed up late and found a way to move the audio track separately from the video. (hold the Alt key and drag the sound line).
    My hope was that I could align it manually and be done with this.
    No such luck.  I found a place in the middle of the video where one of the actors clearly says a line and lined up the sound perfectly with it.
    This left the beginning of the video lagging behind the sound, made the middle perfect, and by the end the sound was lagging behind the video!
    Can't imagine how that's even possible!
    Could mp4 just not be a good format to input from?  I could use a conversion tool like Freemake Video Converter in advance to change it to something else if mp4 isn't the best choice for inputting this.
    Thanks so much for your help John!!!!  ;-)

  • Necessary to empty Mass-Addition Workbench before run Depreciation?

    Hi!
    Is it necessary to empty the Mass-Addition Transactions in Workbench before the Depreciation Run will be started or the Period will be closed?
    Which impact does it have if few Transactions will remain in the Mass-Addition Workbench? Because till Depreciation - Run or Month End Closing it will be not possible to finish editing all Mass Additions Transactions.
    Thank you!
    kind regards
    Evelyn

    Hi
    Answer can be both Yes and No
    Case I : Say you have pending transaction for the current period in Mass Addition, then it is required to post them before running depreciation and they can't be processed later.
    Case II: If you have future trsanctions in mass addition, no need to worry . when you will close the period depreciation request set will run Proces sPending Transactions and will post any elligible lines from mass addtiions
    Thanks

    I already contact Microsoft 2 times for activations.Hope I can fix from Apple instead.

    Ok....Got "Problem 2 and 4" solved....still trying to figure out this pop up everytime I click something...it's crazy how fast the pop up blinks...maybe once or 3 blinks then nothing till you close the window, then pop up then disappears...then click something
    else and pop up then gone....never seen this before...ive seen it when you tried to get online which turned out to be a virus on a customers cpu I worked on some years ago, I think it has something to do with the deleted files that I spoke of on last
    post...I notice it does it on start up as well.....think something is trying to install but not sure. Need to figure out where the appdata or start up folder and see whats in there....maybe it's in there.......so I might wait to see how it acts in the next
    couple days for "Problem 1"...but other than that it's running like a champ...so right now I just want to get the pop up windows to stop........thx again for everyone's help on this.

  • To pass new session variable value to stored proc before running a report.

    Hi,
    Below is summary of the report requirement -
    Database level design
    1. Created a view and a global temporary table (GTT)
    2. Created an Oracle package procedure to accept from and to business dates on basis of which it will fetch, process and populate the GTT.
    Repository level design
    1. Created a business model containing the view and the GTT (mentioned above)
    2. Created two SESSION variables "from_dt" and "to_dt" to be initialized by their respective init blocks. Each of the variable is initialized with a DATE column value (of type DATETIME) from a database lookup table. I have also set the option "Enable that variable to be set by any user" for both variables.
    Query for these variables :
    from_dt = select from_date from <table>
    to_dt = select add_months(from_date,12) from <table>
    Presentation level design
    1. Using a text box, i display the default/initialized values of these variables like this -
    Current business date:@{biServer.variables['NQ_SESSION.from_dt']} Future business dt:@{biServer.variables['NQ_SESSION.to_dt']}
    Dates get displayed in YYYY-MM-DD 00:00:00 format
    The text msg displays these default dates and allows the user to specift different date range for which i create prompts as shown below.
    2. Using any random two columns of date type from the business model, i create two date dashboard prompts with labels "From Dt" and "To Dt".
    i select Calender Controls for both; setting Default To = Report Defaults.
    The Set Variable is set to Presentation variables - such that pv_from_dt maps to "From Dt" and pv_to_dt maps to "To Dt".
    3. i create the report using the business model created above. In the report "Advanced Tab" => "Prefix" field i specify the following -
    SET VARIABLE from_dt='@{pv_from_dt}',to_dt='@{pv_to_dt}';
    Note : The logic here is to display the default dates and allow user to specify different date values which will be stored in presentation variables.
    If the user does specify different "from dt" and "to dt" values, then using the presentation variables, i want to "write" back these new values to the corresponding session variables mentioned above.
    If the user does not specify different date range, then the default/initialized dates must be considered.
    I also display the default and new date values in the report title.
    Back to Repository level design
    To execute the stored procedure that will load the GTT before running the report I need to pass two date parameters to the stored procedure on basis of which it will fetch data, process and populate the GTT.
    In the Connection Pool --> Connection Script Tab --> Execute before query, I wrote the below query using the repository variables FROM_DT and TO_DT to execute the procedure -
    DECLARE
    v_from_dt date;
    v_to_dt date;
    BEGIN
    v_from_dt := VALUEOF(From_Dt);
    v_to_dt := VALUEOF(To_Dt);
    package_name1.package_body(v_from_dt,v_to_dt);
    END;
    Now when i try to run the report i get the following error :
    [nQSError: 10058] A general error has occurred. [nQSError: 23006] The session variable, NQ_SESSION.to_dt, has no value definition. (HY000)..
    Need help on this.
    Is it possible to "write back" a new value to a session variable ?
    Any other alternatives.
    Thanks
    Nusrat

    Sandeep, I found a several topics where users describe saving values in DB through stored procedure or function. For example, [How to store OBIEE presentation level variable values in DB |http://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=892006] I tried it and get an error
    *10058. [NQODBC] [SQL_STATE: HY000] [nQSError: 10058] A general error has occurred. [nQSError: 17001] Oracle Error code: 14551, message: ORA-14551: cannot perform a DML operation inside a query ORA-06512*
    It's not a BI error. This error are generated by Oracle DB. If I write next:
    SELECT MyPLSQLFunction(p1,p2) FROM DUAL
    I get the same error.
    Oracle doesn't allow DML operations in SELECT.
    Did you relalize this feature yourself? Where did I mistake?

  • How can I manually set the Camera Roll to start at an arbitrary image number, i.e., IMG_0553.JPG?

    I have an iPhone 4s, currently with iOS 5.1. I use it with my desktop computer which runs Windows Vista (and has the latest iTunes installed 10.6), and my laptop, which has Windows 7 and the latest iTunes. I use iCloud and Photo Stream primarily with the desktop computer.
    Since receiving the iPhone on launch day, (Nov...14?, 2011), I've had to "Set [it] up as new" twice, most recently this morning.
    After setting it up as new, the Camera Roll starts over with pictures at IMG_0001.JPG. That means, that, after my first picture after this latest reset, I'll have three pictures all initially named IMG_0001.JPG, and instead, I'll have IMG_0001.JPG, IMG_0001 (1).JPG, and IMG_0001 (3).JPG in my photo library. This robs me of the ability view my photos sorted by name, which is often the default sort order in my photo folders, and still see them chronologically. I can, of course, sort them by Date Created, but it would be more flexible if I could do either one.
    Therefore, I'd like to set Camera Roll to start numbering its photos starting with whatever the next number higher than all the rest in my library would be, in this case, IMG_0553.JPG.
    I can't just use Windows to go into the iPhone's Camera Roll and rename the first photo I take to be IMG_0533.JPG. The iPhone just doesn't allow tampering with the filename that way. Can I even count on Camera Roll to note the presence of the highest numbered file in its folder and then just name the next picture taken the next higher number?
    Since I have no reason to believe that I won't have to reset the phone again, I'd like for whatever method I find to be one that I can use to set the Camera Roll to start at whatever other number I need when the time comes.
    Suggestions welcome...
    I have an idea that I'm about to try...I'll report back if it succeeds...
    UPDATE: So what I tried to do was, with an empty Camera Roll, I uploaded a picture with the filename and number that I wanted (IMG_0533.JPG) into my Photo Stream, then saved that picture to my Camera Roll, hoping it would retain the file name, and then Camera Roll would just use the next number. That didn't work. It saved into Camera Roll as a brand spanking new IMG_0001.JPG.

    To bring the solution into this thread, here are the consolidated solution bits from the other thread:
    I installed i-Funbox and found the file referenced in that other thread ( iPHone / Raw File System / PhotoData / MISC / DCIM_APPLE.plist ).
    That file has a section that I'm replicating below that is the part that that original poster edited, and is the part that needs to be edited for my problem also:
              <key>DCIMLastFileNumber</key>
              <integer>5</integer>
    That other thread's original poster wanted his photos to start with 0001, so he set his "DCIMLastFileNumber" to 0.
    I wanted my next picture to be IMG_0553.JPG, so I edited my file's 5 to 552.
    I did that editing by first copying the file to my laptop (using the Copy To PC command), then opening it up in a text editor. I did the edit, then saved it.
    After that, I used i-Funbox' "Copy From PC" command to copy the edited file back to the same location, hoping that the program would take care of any permissions, etc.
    I had to do the Copy From PC twice.
    On the first try, it seemed to copy just fine, but, for whatever reason, the copied file was empty when I opened it for verification. But I tried again, and that seemed to work (opened for verification, and it was as expected).
    I then unplugged it, copied a picture from the Photo Stream to the Camera Roll, then plugged it into my laptop to verify the filename. It was exactly as I wanted: IMG_0533.JPG. Then, for fuller verification, I unplugged it, took a new picture, then replugged it in, and confirmed that the next pictures (I had HDR on) were IMG_0534.JPG and IMG_0535.JPG.
    ...and that's where I am. Nothing has crashed yet, too, which is all to the good ('course, I haven't done anything else with the phone yet).
    Fingers crossed!

  • HT4818 I want to have an exFAT parition in addition to the Mac OS X and Windows partition.  If I create it before running BootCamp, it wants me to delete it.  If I create it in either Windows or Mac OS X afterwards, I can no longer dual boot.

    I want to have an exFAT parition in addition to the Mac OS X and Windows partition.  If I create it before running BootCamp, BootCamp wants me to delete it before continuing.  If I create it in either Windows or Mac OS X after running BootCamp and installing both OSes, I can no longer dual boot.  What is the magic sequence to get this to work?

    I've got the same quandary.
    After upgrading my hard drive to a Momentus XT Hybrid and doing a clean install of Mountain Lion, I was surprised that I couldn't format partitions separately and then restore from my clone of the old Windows 7 Partition. I found that I had to use the BootCamp Assistant to manage it all, which essentially meant getting rid of the partitions and starting again...
    I now can't get my Windows / BootCamp partition to boot, after adding a 3rd, ExFat, partition, when it was working perfectly fine before. I just get a lot of dos booting failures and a final message that "No boot device is available, press Enter to continue".
    See the attached message, that I get when trying to boot the bootcamp partition, through Parallels 7; which also worked perfectly fine before.
    Be good to know if there is a work around this in Mountain Lion as, if not, I'm thinking I might skip Bootcamp altogether and just install a machine drive via Parallels. As suggested here:
    http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1420754
    I might even keep the virtual windows machine on a separate hard drive and then I'll have no need for the ExFat partitions altogether as that was designated for  sharing between Windows  and Mac.
