Necessary to empty Mass-Addition Workbench before run Depreciation?

Hi!
Is it necessary to empty the Mass-Addition Transactions in Workbench before the Depreciation Run will be started or the Period will be closed?
Which impact does it have if few Transactions will remain in the Mass-Addition Workbench? Because till Depreciation - Run or Month End Closing it will be not possible to finish editing all Mass Additions Transactions.
Thank you!
kind regards
Evelyn

Hi
Answer can be both Yes and No
Case I : Say you have pending transaction for the current period in Mass Addition, then it is required to post them before running depreciation and they can't be processed later.
Case II: If you have future trsanctions in mass addition, no need to worry . when you will close the period depreciation request set will run Proces sPending Transactions and will post any elligible lines from mass addtiions
Thanks

  • FI-AA Depreciation  Run :what does I need to run depreciation (AFAB trans.)

I don´t know what I need to run depreciation, I have create a fixed asset, and I have done a posting f-90 , and afterwards I want to execute depreciation but I cannot ¿what does I need to do this ?
    Thanks in advance.
    Olga.

    Hi,
First of all before running depreciation you need to give the required GL accounts needed for posting the depreciation to the GL accounts in T.Code AO90.
Then after doing the required configurations u can run a depreciation run only in the month end or in the next month for the previous month.
If u had posted transactions to an asset using F-90 say suppose in october, u can do the depreciation in the month of october or in the coming month.
    hope it is clear.
    regards

  • HT4818 I want to have an exFAT parition in addition to the Mac OS X and Windows partition.  If I create it before running BootCamp, it wants me to delete it.  If I create it in either Windows or Mac OS X afterwards, I can no longer dual boot.

I want to have an exFAT parition in addition to the Mac OS X and Windows partition.  If I create it before running BootCamp, BootCamp wants me to delete it before continuing.  If I create it in either Windows or Mac OS X after running BootCamp and installing both OSes, I can no longer dual boot.  What is the magic sequence to get this to work?

    I've got the same quandary.
After upgrading my hard drive to a Momentus XT Hybrid and doing a clean install of Mountain Lion, I was surprised that I couldn't format partitions separately and then restore from my clone of the old Windows 7 Partition. I found that I had to use the BootCamp Assistant to manage it all, which essentially meant getting rid of the partitions and starting again...
I now can't get my Windows / BootCamp partition to boot, after adding a 3rd, ExFat, partition, when it was working perfectly fine before. I just get a lot of dos booting failures and a final message that "No boot device is available, press Enter to continue".
See the attached message, that I get when trying to boot the bootcamp partition, through Parallels 7; which also worked perfectly fine before.
Be good to know if there is a work around this in Mountain Lion as, if not, I'm thinking I might skip Bootcamp altogether and just install a machine drive via Parallels. As suggested here:
    http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1420754
I might even keep the virtual windows machine on a separate hard drive and then I'll have no need for the ExFat partitions altogether as that was designated for  sharing between Windows  and Mac.

  • Assets Mass Addition error-APP-OFA-48400

    Hi,
We are working on Oracle Applications 11i. The Assets user have run the post mass additions and the Mass Additions post gave no output when it completes successfully (POST MASS ADDITIONS REPORT and two of the MASS ADDITIONS POST resulted in error before the thired one completes successfully) and there is still one item X in the POST queue in the mass additions.
Item X was one of two items in the same PO and same invoice the second item Y was POSTED successfully and now has an asset number.
I have checked the po charge accounts, ap expense account and fa clearing account and they match.
    Any clues?
This matter is urgernt please due to the period closing.
Found the following error in one of the logs:

Cause: At least one of the child requests spawned to run Mass Additions Post failed.
Action: Check the Mass Additions Post log files to find out what caused the request to fail.

    Thank you for your help.
unfortunately, i have no access to metalink these days.
We had also the following error ; on the attempt to open the assignment form of the item:
APP-OFA-48317: the employee to which this distribution line is assigned is no longer valid.
when the form opens there is no emmploye visible in the assignment line.
and in the table FA_MASSADD_DISTRIBUTIONS an employee_id is there.
So, I chose an employee in the form and saved it, then I cleared the employee from the line and saved again.
    Finally the problem is solved.

    >
Are you saying you can see the distributions from front end but not in the table?
Did you populate the distribution related columns in AP_INVOICE_LINES_INTERFACE (e.g. DIST_CODE_COMBINATION_ID)?

  • Date in service - AP to FA Mass addition

    Hi
In R12, when we ran the AP to FA Mass addition and querying mass addition in FA, system is showing new assets with date in service as the date on which Mass addition was run. Is that the intended functionality..?
Can we change the date in service as invoice date by default through mass addition program..?
    regards
    Ahsan

Please check in KON* series table in SE16N transaction. I guess KOHN table may help you out. You can see other similar tables.
In any one of the table you will find validity data.

  • Do we require OC4J started before running reports

I noticed that starting and stopping OC4J path in Developer Forms and Reports is the same.
For Forms I have to start the OC4J before running forms.
Is that a requirement even for reports or it't not necessary. The reason I was curious is, because, if reports does not need it, then why it appears even in the reports developer --> sub menu
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello,
The Reports Builder uses its own "in-process reports server". It is configured by rwbuilder.conf.
So, if you execute the reports from the Reports Builder, you don't need to start the OC4J.
But if you want use the "Reports Servlet", it will be necessary to start it.

  • Mass Additions Posting Report customization

    Hi,
I am customizing a standard report that has one mandatory parameter. Requirement is to make the report available for all SOBs by removing the parameter. Report is "Mass Additions Posting Report" (FAS824.rdf). While trying to remove the P_BOOK parameter in the standard RDF, I am unable to derive values for "Accounting_Flex_Structure" variable as it is being derived using the P_BOOK value. This particular value is coming from "FA_BOOK_CONTROLS.accounting_flex_structure". I am unable to group it with the main group in the RDF which is using "FA_SYSTEM_CONTROLS". There is no link for FA_SYSTEM_CONTROLS to any table where I can join it with FA_BOOK_CONTROLS to derive "Accounting_Flex_Structure" and make the report run for all SOBs. Please help.
    Thanks in advance.
    Kiran

I think you can use database trigger, Whenever they are running the Mass Additions posting, the trigger will submit the concurrent request (FAS824) in a loop, use Fnd_Request.submit_request by the particular SOB parameter, hope this can help you
    br,
    thanks

  • Mass addition transfer

    Hello,
What are the conditions to transfer items to FA?
Is that the combination that have same category in FA?
If the line in distribution in AP is matched to PO and has an item that defined "Fixed asset" - it will transfer to FA ?
    thanks,
    Kobi Idah

For doing the Mass Transfer in Fixed Assets the following conditions is to be met.
    a) Define the Asset Category for that Asset.
    b) If it is matched to PO, then in the Charge account you need to choose the Asset Clearing Account only.
    c) When the Invoice been matched to Purchase Order, make ensure from the Show->Field-> Track as Asset need to be enabled otherwise the payables distributions will not be identified as a 'Asset'.
    d) Validate an Invoice
    e) Account an Invoice.
    f) Payable Transfer to General Ledger.- Report Need to be run.
    g) Run the Report
    -- Mass Addition Create
    -- Mass Addition Create Report.
    Navigate to Fixed Asset Module.
    Go to Prepare Mass Addition.
Query with your asset book / Invoice Number.
Change the status from Queue to Post.
    Go to Post Mass Addition.
Choose your Asset Book and submit the concurrent.
Make ensure these concurrents should complete Normal.
I have also mentioned the Accountign entries at different stages--
    In Purchasing Module
    Expense accural a/c Dr
    Asset Clearing a/c.
    In Payables Module
    Asset Cost a/c
    To Liability
    In Fixed Assets Module
    Asset Clearing a/c
    To Asset Cost

    Hi
Supplier invoice debit an account XXXX. This should be a CIP account (construction in progress), which is an Asset type account in GL.
When you capitalize the project, the system is populating the mass addition 'clearing account' field with the account debited by Projects (in your case, by AP). This will be the XXXX account.
The Expense Account should be the account you intend to charge periodic depreciation costs.
The Asset Account should be the account you intend to charge the value (the cost) of the asset in GL balance sheet.
Both, expense and asset, accounts are derived from the asset category.
If you have not defined asset categories, the system will use the default accounts from the system implementation setup.
Usually when you create an asset in Projects, before capitalizing, you are expected to setup the asset category. Asset category derives accounting and depreciation method.

  • Before running "emca" questions

Before running the emca console application to
configure dbconsole for oracle enterprise manager,
I have a few questions. I had some problems with
this application in the past and want to make sure
I don't commit any errors again.
I had just installed Oracle software with the option
of "software only" installation. I have all set up now.
Currently I have the user accounts of "sys", "system",
    "DBSNMP" among a few others.
I don't have the "SYSMAN" account on my system yet. I understand
it is an account that "emca" will build and set up.
My existing account of "DBSNMP" is in a status of "EXPIRED & LOCKED".
I have never used and never set up a pasword for it.
    Question #1:
My question #1 is, during the "emca" execution, the application asks for
the password for "SYS", "DBSNMP" and "SYSMAN". I should understand those
are the existing passwords for those accounts (if any, if they exist) or
the new passwords I want to set for them ?
In the case of "SYSMAN" account I don't even have that account right now,
which make me think the passwords it asks for are the new passwords I want
for those accounts, in the case of the "SYS" account I would leave the same password.
    Am I right ?
    Question #2:
The other question is, Is it necessary for me to "unlock" the "DBSNMP" account
before running "emca" or will the application take care of this automatically ?
Also, should I set up a password for that account before running "emca" and provide
that same password when prompted by "emca" ??
    Question #3:
I have to be connected as sys/<password>@<SID> as sysdba right ? (A network connection)
Also, I should have the database in "open" status or just "mount" status ??
    Question #4:
Last time I ran "emca" I had an error relating to Time Zone which would not permit me to
run the enterprise manager app. Some people told me there's a path in oracle "MOS" that
solves that "bug". To get access to that patch, do I have to pay for being member of MOS
and getting access to that patch or is there a way to get that patch without being in a
paid support contract with Oracle ?
I don't know if I will get the same error again, if it's a bug, I will.
    Thanks,
    Gabriel

    Open.

MOS (My Oracle Support, formerly known as MetaLink) is oracle's channel for support for those with paid support contracts. There is no other way to get patches.
I don't know if I will get the same error again, if it's a bug, I will.

  • Mass Additions WEB ADI Issue

    All,
Has anyone come across a need to modify the mass additions upload via web adi, to do validation on asset numbers. We find that if we use web adi to mass additions, the error of duplicate asset numbers is only picked up when we do a post. Our users require that validation, when they do the upload from web adi. As this was a functionality that desktop adi provided.
Any help here would be much appreciated.

    Hi
Can you think about one work around
    1. Import Asset table containing Asset Number before uploading the asset using Web ADI.
    2. Compare the Imported data with Web ADI Template using EXCEL macro check or using a sql script
Have you loged SR & wether Oracle can think of some Validation (as this is the standard functionality) ?
