Set VAT number using DI Server

Hello everyone,
I'm adding a new BP to SBO using the DI Server. Unfortunately, I'm unable to find how to set the VAT number for this new BP.
There's a field called LicTradNum, which holds the general VAT number, and there's another one called VatIdUnCmp, which holds the VAT number in a uniform manner.
Trying to use elements like <LicTradNum> or <VatIdUnCmp> in my SOAP message results in a validation error. Is there a trick to setting one or both of these fields?

Hello Frank,
We seem to think alike. I've created a little utility last week which allows me to do exactly that. I haven't gotten around to actually testing the import with the newly acquired information, but I will do so in the next couple of days.

I have seen that on my laptop as well and it was due to display /resolution setting. Please see if that helps you. BTW, as already answered, services.msc is another way of changing it.

Use Lion Server to set up security in Web Sharing

Can I use Lion Server to set up security in Web Sharing?
I want a password prompt to appear when someone comes to look at my Web Sharing files.
I have tried to do this manually in Snow Leopard and Lion, and am considering buying Lion Server just for this one purpose.
Does the admin GUI in Lion Server have an option that allows you to set up a password prompt for folks that look at my Web Sharing files?

Now I have a password prompt on my Web Sharing files.

Since the gallery part of dot mac is gone, how can I share family videos?
I would like to be able to use my Lion server to do that, but am not sure how, using a web-based GUI as was done on the dot mac gallery.

Supplier vat number

Hello,
i make abap extraction to provide FI data as xml file.
my method to get supplier vat number is :
1- search vat number in BSET
- if not, search vat number in BSEG
- if not, search vat number in LFA1
- if not, search vat number in LFAS
- if not, search vat number in T001n
- if not, search vat number in T001.
But this logic is not always right, some client expect no supplier vat number for some invoices !!!! like payment invoices,..
1- Can some help to be sure when the invoice expect supplier vat number and when not?
2- is my first logic regarding a search of at number, right ?

Our SAP client use my Extractor and make self extraction in there SAP system.
For some SAP client i have not display the VAT number Used by Supplier ( for some raison) and for another SAP Client i have to Display this VAT number Used by Supplier.
my Question is, on witch indicator i have to use to display this VAT number Used by Supplier and when not?
I Extract VAT number Used by Supplier from BSET-STCEG, BSEG-STCEG en LFA1-STCEG T001 and T001n.
The same question with another way, witch SAP document type ( or number) get his VAT number Used by Supplier from the table T001 or T001n? and witch not?
Because when i don't find the VAT number Used by Supplier in those tables BSET-STCEG, BSEG-STCEG en LFA1-STCEG i extract it automatically from t001 or t001n but this logic is not always right.

Is it possible to set a port number for a server as a value from env ?

I'm using the version 6.1 - sp8 and I'd like to set the port number of a server as a value returned by an environment variable. Will this be achievable somehow through the admin console?
In fact, I have an environment variable called '$WEB_SERV_PORT'. I'd need this value to be assigned as the port number for a server. The reason why I am trying to do this is coz I have multiple instances running as different batch accounts and each batch account would be having its own '$WEB_SERV_PORT' which would be the port on which iplanet would be running for that batch account.
I'd appreciate if anyone could help.

Thanks for the info that you have provided. I do agree that what you said would be a better approach.
However I've got a couple of questions on the approach that you have suggested (Sorry that its a bit off from the main topic). Just wanted to clarify if what I thought is in sync with the approach that you suggested.
1. As you said, I could setup multiple virtual server within an instance (https-<hostname>) - Does this mean that I am creating "Virtual Server Classes" for each server and through the web-applications tab, assigning the corresponding war file to each Virtual Server Class?
2. Another approach that came upto my mind is that I could create different instances like (https-virtual server1, https-virtual server2, https-virtual server3 etc..). I am assuming that if I follow this approach, I could have each server allocate memory indiviually to the virtual servers. for eg, I could allocate
1024 MB to each virtual server where as in the first approach, I would have to make the 1024 MB to share between all the Virtual Server Classes. And also, in the case theres an issue with one server, I could handle the start/ stop etc individually, where as in the 1st approach, all the virtual classes would be affected by the start/stop. Am I assuming it correctly ?
I'd appreciate if you could let me know.

How do I set the number of simultaneous downloads? Per server?

iTunes always tries to download 3 podcasts at once, which leads to timeouts on podcast servers that limit the number of connections. That means I'm either missing episodes or else I need to manually babysit iTunes.
Is there a way to set the number of simultaneous downloads? I'm using XP.

You can turn simultaneous downloads off. In the downloads window, at the lower left. Also, while things are downloading, you can pause all but one or two.

How can I set range value in number in sql server

I am using sql server 2012. I want to display range value in int column. Suppose I have a table which contains
columns called ID and dueDays. In dueDays there is data from 1 to 255 and slab range is
[7,15,30,60,150,250].
Now I want to display range as per duedays, suppose from 1 to 7 , it should display 7.

Set 'Use Job server default' for Unmanaged disk destination

I am using BO XI R2 SDK to schedule reports.
I want to set all my reports destinations to Unmanaged disk to a particular folder. I have set these in reportjobserver's destination configuration too.
Now i want create schedules through code for all my reports. I want these reports to use the job server defaults. I am unable to find a solution for this. The code i am currently using is as follows:

I am not aware of a method to get defaults from the Job Server.
You can use Visual Studio .NET to schedule to a disk file. We do have samples associated with our Developers Library on line.

You'll probably want to do this in a start routine. It is probably not advisable to hard-code the technical name of the InfoPak. They seem to remain the same upon transport, unlike DTP technical names which are locally generated.
I would do a SQL select like this in a start routine, and then filter based on the results of the SQL. You'll probably want to sort the results by date and time, both descending. Or do a MAX in the SQL.
Please let me know if this isn't clear.

Yes, I know ssh has been discussed on and off, but never in its entirety; and yes, there are step by step instructions on the www, but at one point or another they skip a crucial instruction that would be necessary for unix-dummies (e.g. how to save and close the nano-editor in Terminal). So, please pardon my question:
There are several points I'd like to ask for ssh-connecting two macs on a local network:
1) In terminal-file-"connect to server" you can ask for an ssh connection to be set up. For this to work, do I need to create private and public keys first? If so, how? Please point me to a reliable and step-by-step instruction site.
There are some free ssh-utilities out there, but their documentation is just not helpful enough for a UNIX-dummy.
2) Apparently I managed to connect via ssh once (from the terminal, see point 1) to a local server (allowing remote connection set to ON at the server). But then, when I connected to that server from the client's finder and tried to get into my user account on that server it told me that no secure connection could be established. What's wrong here? Do I have to continue working from within the terminal to use this connection? That would be difficult for an average MacUser.
3) What is the security advantage of an SSH connection on a local wireless network (Airport Base Station) over WPA2, if at all?
4) And how to set up an ssh-connection over the internet cloud to safely build a remote control/desktop sharing connection, e.g., a friend's Mac when she has a problem?

First I'm not sure what your goals are.
1) In terminal-file-"connect to server" you can ask for an ssh connection to be set up. For this to work, do I need to create private and public keys first?
If you have ssh keys, you can do this without passwords. If you have not exchanged keys with the remote system, you will be asked for the password of the user you are attempting to login as.
If so, how? Please point me to a reliable and step-by-step instruction site. There are some free ssh-utilities out there, but their documentation is just not helpful enough for a UNIX-dummy.
Log into the remote system. This could be via ssh.
On the remote system, run the following command to generate an ssh key for that remote system:
ssh-keygen -t rsa
Generating public/private rsa key pair.
Enter file in which to save the key (/Users/username/.ssh/id_rsa): <<take default>>
Created directory '/Users/username/.ssh'.
Enter passphrase (empty for no passphrase): <<enter nothing>>
Enter same passphrase again: <<enter nothing again>>
Your identification has been saved in /Users/username/.ssh/id_rsa.
Your public key has been saved in /Users/username/.ssh/id_rsa.pub.
The key fingerprint is:
aa:bb:cc:dd:ee:ff:gg:hh:ii:jj:kk:ll:mm:nn:oo:pp [email protected]
This will generate an ssh key for the remote system. This could be any system that support ssh, such as a Unix system, or another Mac.
Copy the id_rsa.pub file from the remote system to your Mac. When I say "your Mac" I mean the one that you want to make the ssh connection from. The id_rsa.pub is found in the remote system's ~username/.ssh/ directory.
Append the copied id_rsa.pub to your Mac's ~himbear/.ssh/authorized_keys2 file
cat id_rsa.pub >>~himbear/.ssh/authorized_keys2
Now when you ssh to that specific remote system, it will NOT ask for a password. The first time you ssh to any system, ssh will ask if the system is really the system you thing it is. But once you say "yes", it will not ask that question again.
Repeat for every remote system you wish to log into using an ssh key.

ssh is not used by default when you make connections. If you want an ssh connection, you have to establish it intentionally.
ssh can be used to pre-establish a tunnel (or tunnels) that other services can use. Once an ssh tunnel is establish, connections to local host's tunnel port will be connected to the specified remote port. For example:
ssh -L 5901:localhost:5900 [email protected]
will establish a tunnel that VNC can use. The VNC client would connect to localhost display 1 or port 5901.
ssh allows multiple -L tunnels to be specified on the ssh command line.
3) What is the security advantage of an SSH connection on a local wireless network (Airport Base Station) over WPA2, if at all?
Inside you home. Not much. Unless of course you do not trust the other members of your family. That is to say, others having your WPA2 password, and are thus on the inside, and can sniff you packets.
4) And how to set up an ssh-connection over the internet cloud to safely build a remote control/desktop sharing connection, e.g., a friend's Mac when she has a problem?
If you are using the Mac OS X Leopard built-in *Screen Sharing* and you are connecting to another Mac's built-in Leopard System Preferences -> Sharing -> Remote Management (Tiger's Apple Remote Desktop), then in the *Screen Sharing* preferences, is an "Encrypt all network data" option.
If you wish to set this option in advance, you can launch *Screen Sharing* by double clicking on System -> Library -> CoreServices -> Screen Sharing.app
You can *Screen Sharing* connections over the net using iChat. This is one of the easiest ways to take control of their system. Of course they need to cooperate. I use a Free AOL Instant Messager (AIM) account for my iChat connections. And as a side benefit you can text, audio chat and/or video chat with the person at the other end.
If you are NOT using the build-in Mac OS X *Screen Sharing* and/or you are NOT using the build-in remote Mac OS X remote management server, then this is a situation where an ssh tunnel would be a very good idea.
However, setting up an ssh tunnel between 2 systems across the internet gets complex.
In this case you might want to consider using something like LogMeIn.com which will deal with all those nasty home routers without needing to to do nasty router configurations, and it will be a secure connection. LogMeIn.com will not be as fast as a *Screen Sharing* connection or a VNC connection, but it will be secure and easy to establish. Again, this is only if you can not to Mac to Mac *Screen Sharing* using built-in Mac OS X remote desktop.
Now if you want to roll your own ssh tunnels for VNC, then I'm just going to outline the things you need to do.
If the remote system is behind a home router, you need to configure that remote home router to "Port Forward" port 22 on the Internet side to port 22 on the target Mac. Bonus points if the internet side using a high number port to discourge net bots from knocking on your door. Use the ssh -p 12345 option to connect to the high numbered port that is forwarded to port 22 of the destination Mac.
On the remote Mac you need to run a VNC server. If this is a Mac, then Leopard System Preferences -> Sharing -> Remote Management (Tiger's Apple Remote Desktop). If it is not a Mac, then for Windows, TightVNC, UltraVNC, RealVNC are possible options. Linux has a built-in vncserver, or you can install x11vnc which has the advantage of displaying the desktop screen.
Once you can access the remote system, you use an ssh command like the following:
ssh -p 12345 -L 5901:localhost:5900 remote.system.address
You can get the remote system's address by having the remote system surf over to http://whatismyip.com. Then they can tell you the IP address.
If you are going to be doing this a lot, you can get a free no-ip.com or dyndns.org dynamic DNS name for the remote system, and the remote system can run a dynamic DNS client (available from no-ip.com or dyndns.org) which will keep the dynamic DNS name updated as the remote person's ISP change's their IP address.
Finally, now that you have an ssh tunnel for VNC traffic, you have your VNC client connect to
Address: localhost
Port: 5901
Depending on your VNC client you may need to specify Display 1 instead of Port 5901. Or if you do not get a Display or Port option you specify localhost:5901

Cannot send message using the server (null)

i use mail 2.1.
i have a .mac account and have three other email accounts attached to my mail account.
lately, i cannot send any email.
the switchiing ports fix hasn't helped either.

no matter which one i pick it doesn't work and no email is sent.
anyone have this error before? or now how to fix it?

I was having a similar problem (don't feel like typing all the details)
I was about to to delete my com.apple.mail.plist, when finally it hit me.
I ran ethereal (again, I'm sorry, but learning how to use ethereal is a topic unto itself). Following the TCP stream (ie. looking at the smtp messages being sent back and forth) I came across two problems. For some reason my port number was set to 567 or something like that, when it's supposed to be 25, as I had originally set it to.
Once I corrected the port number I started receiving an error message from the smtp server. It said the return email address could not be authenticated. (using xyz.com as an example) The correct return email address was supposed to be [email protected], but for some reason it was changed to john@xyz in the account settings.
Anyway, to get to the point, another thing to check is that your return address has been set correctly, and if all else fails, make sure you have X11 installed and use fink to install and run ethereal. This will let you know if you are actually connecting to the server, and will show you any error messages.
PS. I think this problem started occurring with the last update made to mail. I believe it somehow corrupted my settings. This would explain how my port number could have been changed to the default port number of .mac mail.
