Set Visible the items
Hi, I need to switch the status of the item:
In the trigger WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE of my module, i write the following source:

The function GET_NUM_ING_EGR() returns a number value and I store it in the variable NUM_IE.
In the module the item CAMPO1, is an unbound item and its status is NOT DISPLAYED.
My Question is: When I execute the module, this item don't switch its status, that is to say its status is the same.
I use Designer 10.1.2.0.2 and Oracle 10G and I generate the aplication to forms language.

This can be done 2 ways
1.if you want individual material stocks to be checked for avialbility and deliver them independently then check whether you are using requirement type KSV.
2. If you want to send the group of materials together and do not want to send a material which is part of group individually ,you can use delivery group with Sales Bill of material concept . the header material may be a fantom assembly .
The delivery group is set at the item category level ,so u can set it for the item categories u want to go together.
for example all text package inserts ,extra spares and a material must go together, they will be part of delivery group.

Maybe Flex SDK bug: Setting visible of DataGrid item renderers
Hi all, I'm still a noob at flex but this looks a bit strange to me.
I've been trying to hide a button renderer in a DataGrid but it just wouldn't hide. I've been setting visible inside the mxml and also in the the class that extends buttonbut it just wouldn't hide. I then overloaded the visible property set/get and traced what was setting the property to true and found that inside DataGridBase.as the function setupColumnItemRenderer always sets visible of the renderes to true.

Why does it do this? Shouldn't it respect the visible property already set for the renderer in mxml and not force it to true on init?Renderers use the visible property for recycling. Invisible renderers are not supported. The hit detection logic would find it the cell it belongs to even if it was invisible. You can set alpha=0, but it won't stop the hit detection logic.
Why are you trying to hide a renderer?

Set visibility property for items depending on other items

I want to set the visibility setting for an item that I have, the steps should be as the following,
for example
if I have an item that asked,
do you have children ?
if the answer is Yes,
the next item should be visible which let's say, number of them
if no,
the next item should be not visible
I tried to set a trigger for the item I am controlling its visibility which is
pre-text-item and wrote

if 'CHEQUE_TABLE.CHEQUE_RECIEVED'='yes'
Does CHEQUE_TABLE.CHEQUE_RECEIVED refer to a Data Block and Item? If yes, then you are trying to tell Forms to look at the value of the string 'CHEQUE_TABLE.CHEQUE_RECEIVED' when you should be refering to the value of the Block.Item through direct reference, eg:
IF :CHEQUE_TABLE.CHEQUE_RECEIVED = 'yes'
How is the value of CHEQUE_RECIEVED set? Does the user select the YES value from a List of Value (LOV) or from a Poplist or do they enter the value by typing it in? If your code is looking at the string 'yes' and comparing it to the value of the Block Item which is in upper or mixed case, then 'yes' = 'Yes' or 'yes' = 'YES' will evaluate to FALSE instead of TRUE.
It is always a good idea to use a Poplist or a List of Values when you are expecting specific values to be entered by the user; this enables you to force the value to be entered the same by everyone. If the user CAN type the value in, then at least set the Case Restriction property to UPPER or LOWER so regardless of how the user enteres the value, it will be stored in the corrected case.

And instead of creating product branding progrmatically create product branding and incontextbranding at design time.
Also, for both of these items we have View Object and View Instance properties...
For this you take two transient attributes in VO and then as you have grabbed the responsibility name and operating unit...
then you can set these values on these Transient attributes and then they will be visible on Top region of page.
Associate these transient Attributes on product branding and incontextbranding items.

Setting visible/invisible when menu item is contained/not contained
Hello All,
I have a vertical rectangle (the containerButtonsRect) that contains menu items (text). The items slide up and down when using up and down keys. When the items go out the container I want to make them invisible. When they come back in the containerButtonsRect I want to make them visible. The following code does not work:

The translateY is set to provide vertical motion. A time line is controlling the tracker variable. So when I move arrow up/down the items scroll up/down.
I agree JavaFX have way complicated the different variables you can set to position components and retrieve width and height. This cause a lot of problems hard to debug.
Interesting your ideas of setting the clip of the group. I am not to familiar with that attribute as well the description in the docs: http://java.sun.com/javafx/1.3/docs/api/javafx.scene/javafx.scene.Group.html is poor:
"Specifies a Node to use to define the the clipping shape for this Node."
Is there any example you could point me out to ?

Unable to open the photos in reviewer, every time I click on the photo on , it says do not have permission to view the photo. Please open the item in the finder choose the item and click on <get info>. What am I suppose to change in the setting on <get info>

To set an error while saving the order when the item categor changed in CRM

As per our current system set up, whenever the order created in CRM once replicated to ERP should not change the item category in CRM .If the item category is changed( allows the system) and saved, it gives an error as u201CItem category should not be changedu201D. We have been encountering this type of issue since long back
To avoid this type of issue, an error should through while saving the order when the user changes the item category in CRM.
Can someone help me to achieve this.

We are trying to find a user exit in order to set as default value the item category in the Maintenance Order once the Material has been introduced (Tag Components).
SAP Customizing let the user set the Item Category automatically per Material Type, but we need to set different Item Categories to materials belonging to the same material type.
We would really appreciate any help relating this issue.

I had already tried customizing mentioned by Pithan, but it did not work because we need to set different Item Categories for Materials with same Material Type.
We have been searching for exits which may let us set Item Category in the Maintenance Order, but it does not seem to be possible.
What you say about adding some custom validation through user exit, not to set item category as default value, but to check if the one entered is valid, sounds the best way of achieving our commitments.
I have tried to look for CNEX0037 & CNEX0038, by using transactions SE37 and SE38, search for programs and functions modules, but it did not work. Could you please tell us what kind of objects are?

Where is the option to set a ToDo item to repeat? ...
I imported some calendar entries from MS Outlook onto my 5800, of which most were set to repeat every month.
Those items successfully repeat on the device but on creating a new ToDo item using the device's calendar app, there is no option to set repeating occurrence!
Where is the option to set a ToDo item to repeat?
Can anyone please help me with this as I do not want to have to keep re-creating items and / or using Outlook to create them then transfer etc.

Set yourself up a Nokia account on www.ovi.com and set up an OVI Sync account. Sync the phone to the online account to start with.
Then, using the online interface to OVI Sync you can create an event that can be repeated weekly among other things. Re-sync the phone and that repeating event will be entered into your calendar.

LAF project : can I set the item prompt font through the CSS ?

I'm implementing an application that is installed with multiple customers. I've added in the LAF jar and used the .GUIProperties to set the Item font and colours (so each customer can choose a LAF without rebuidling the system).
However, whilst this works, is there a way that I can set the Prompt properties using the .GUIProperties in the CSS - I can't see one (looking in the getContainerContent(Container ct)) part of the jar.
Is there a simple way of doing this ? (ie: set the prompts for the application through one call to the .GUIProperties in

I cannt synk them to iTunes because lots of songs are not in iTunes now. This will delete my lots of songs.
I deleted some of songs by iPhone.but now it until shows all that songs.they seems partially visible not like other song totally black.actual songs are 701 shown in setting.in the music it shows 901. How can I permanently delete them???I called Apple and spoke with a customer service representative regarding this issue. I was given the two things to try, and if they don't work, I was told I can call back in:
1. Go to iCloud.com and look at the advanced options. Since Photos can be deleted here, the representative thought there may be an option to remove songs here as well.
2. Go into the library that has the songs that were deleted and click Update iTunes match.
I tried #1--this didn't resolve the issue, as there is no option to remove songs this way. I can't try #2 right now since I'm at work, but if anybody else with this issue can try that step it can help us get the ball rolling on it. After I try that, I'll call Apple back to discuss this further. -

I am always annoyed by web sites that ask me to enter my email twice. I ALWAYS copy the email address from the original entry and paste it into the second one.
People enter their email addresses so often, it takes a real klutz to not get it right. And what makes you think that if they enter it twice, that they won't enter it wrong both times anyway??? -

Problem setting a hidden item value when button clicked with dynamic action or pl/sql process

I have a page that consists of a main region and several sub regions. I have a pl/sql process in After Header SET_DISPLAY(:P400_DISPLAY :='MAIN';)
Three subregions have a contional display where P400_DISPLAY = STORE. This works in hiding the sub regions.
Now I want to change the P400_DISPLAY value to STORE to show the subregions when I hit a button.
I tried creating a dynamic action for on click of the add button but get the following error:

I then tried creating a page process, pl/sql, :P400_DISPLAY :='STORE'; when the appropriate button is pressed. The button action is submit page. However, it does not change the P400_DISPLAY value and the subregions stay hidden.
Suggestions please on how to fix the template or change the P400_DISPLAY value?The root issue is that, although you change the value of your page item, it isn't visible to other areas of the page until it is in the session. So, any other action based on the value of your page item; the visibility of a control, a report based on the item's value, etc. will all be unaffected by changing the value of the page item until it has been changed in the session. Even after this the items are stored in the session, you must thereafter do something to cause the value to be reevaluated. To see the effect of this, observe that your page loads and evaluates the value of your page item, it sees that is "MAIN" and hides the regions. However, it doesn't reevaluate them after this.
So; your choices to get this value set in the session are to either Submit the page, or use JavaScript to set the value in the session. If you use the latter of these, you'll have to do some further work to cause the visibility tests to be re-run, So, let's stick with with the submit method.
What you've done above sounds correct for this but, there are a lot of decisions you could have made that might have caused things not to happen in the correct sequence.
Firstly, let's confirm that what I describe above is your problem. From the development environment, load the page, click the button to change the value and submit. Now, click the link labelled Session. Is it still set to MAIN? If so; this is your issue.
Let's start with the your After Header computation. Did you set it to *only* run if the current value of your page item is NULL??? If not, that's your problem.
Load Page -> Item set to 'Main' by Computation -> Click Button -> Item set to STORE -> Submit -> Load Page -> Item set to 'Main' by Computation
See the problem?
Assuming this isn't the issue, you created a Branch to the same page, right? What is your process point for the Branch? Is it *After* Validation, Computation etc? Because if not, you aren't changing the value before the submit happens.
I bet it is the first issue but, take a look at these.
