Seting Http Proxy for JAXR Query

I cannot get the sample JAXRQuery program to connect. I beleive it is proxy related. I do I specify a proxyHost and proxyPort for the ConnectionFactory or Connection?

Proxy infomation in the JAXR RI is set on a
per connection basis as a property on the
connection factory. The sample programs that
we have show how to do this; more details here:
With the jaxr-browser app, you can specify proxy
info when the browser is started:
"jaxr-browser.sh <proxyHost> <proxyPort>"
You can even give it four arguments to specify
httpHost, httpPort, httpsHost, and httpsPort.
For the query and publish examples, the proxy
info is included at the top of the test. From
BusinessQueryTest.java:
public class BusinessQueryTest {
// edit these if behind firewall, otherwise leave blank
String httpProxyHost = "";
String httpProxyPort = "";
The user should edit these to whatever he'd like,
and the scripts automatically recompile and execute
the program.
Hope this helps.

  • Apache HTTP proxying for load balancing only to a group of non-clustered WL servers

              Hi,
We're running WL Server 6.1 SP 2 on Solaris 2.8.
For the Apache HTTP proxy plugin, if you use the WebLogicCluster http.conf option,
do the WL servers you want to load balance across have to be part of a WebLogic
cluster (if you are prepared to do without failover, as I know it would need to be
a proper WL cluster to replicate session info for failover). Can you load balance
across a group of non-clustered WL servers, and maintain the user session to the
one WL server so that it doesn't switch between servers on alternate requests for
the same user session, or must the servers be configured as a WebLogic cluster?
              Paul
We find that if you have a collection of WL servers that are not configured as a
cluster, that it will load balance alternate requests to each server, but it will
not pin a user to a single machine according to their session so for 2 servers, 2
differetn sessions get created, one on each machine.
Is this because it doesn't normally do this, but sends the user alternately to a
primary then secondary which works in a cluster because the session is replicated.
I thought the secondary was only used when the primary failed.

You don't have to use the clustering option. To get failover, you'll have to
use the JDBC persistence option of WL.

The primary/secondary stuff requires clustering. If Apache continues to
"load balance" after the first request, you need to either use JDBC session
persistence or use a different load balancer (like mod_jk for Apache or a
h/w load balancer with support for sticky).

  • HTTP proxy for AS2 delivery channel

    Hi All,
During AS2 delivery channel configuration, there is a check box "Use proxy". Where do I specify the proxy details? Also, for additional http headers, what is the standard that needs to be followed?
    Regards,
    Praveen

    Hi Praveen,
Ideally Proxy setting is done while installation.
if you missed while installation and want to use B2B proxy then you can try giving below property while starting the managed server:
    -http.proxyHost=<ProxyServer> -Dhttp.proxyPort=<proxyPort>

  • Http proxy for mission control?

I tried to use "Install Plugins..." functionality to use in MC 4.0.1 but I get the following error:
Network connection problems encountered during search.

Error parsing site stream. [Premature end of file.]
    Premature end of file.
I assumed this could be because of our company's webproxy. I tried to start MC with java -jar mc.jar -Dhttp.proxyHost=webproxy.xxx.com -Dhttp.proxyPort=xxx-Dhttp.proxyUser=xxx-Dhttp.proxyPassword=xxx
but still the same error occurs.
Is there another way to access the plugins?
    Thanks for any hints,
    Thomas

One way is to install MC plugins in Eclipse (where you have more control over the proxy settings)
    In that case, use
    http://download.oracle.com/technology/products/missioncontrol/updatesites/base/4.0.1/eclipse/
    and
    http://download.oracle.com/technology/products/missioncontrol/updatesites/experimental/4.0.1/eclipse/
If you set the proxy properties I guess they need to be set before the -jar flag so they are interpreted as flags to the jvm instead of the app.
(I will verify that I can get that to work)

  • HTTP proxy server connection error

My iPhone4S can't connect well to 3G, only works properly with WIFI connection. When i try to navegate with safari or other apps, HTTP proxy error is shown. I only receive notifications, but when i try to open the specify app: server error. Its weird, because for instance, whatsapp and mail clients like sparrow works properly with 3G. I can update my mail and send whatsapp, but i cant receive or send any attachments.
I've tried to reset my iphone, and reset my network configuration, but the problem is still there.
    Thanks everyone!

I had this problem. It started when I took my unlocked iPhone from Australia on a Telstra SIM to the U.S. and put in a Straight Talk SIM. I used unlockit.co.nz to generate a new APN for my phone while on Straight Talk, which worked fine.
However, upon coming back to Australia and reinserting my Telstra SIM, I couldn't access HTTP. My VPN would start over 3G and I could get push notifications and data in some apps, but anything that used HTTP, including Safari, would give me the proxy error or a network timeout error. Wifi worked perfectly.
I called Telstra and they said it wasn't them. I was sitting on hold with Apple Care when I thought to try inserting my colleague's Telstra SIM into my phone and, voila, it worked perfectly. I hung up and called Telstra back to complain but while on hold I put my own old Telstra SIM back in only to find that I had fixed my problem.
So try inserting a known, working SIM from the same carrier and see if that fixes your problem. Stopping into one of their stores may be the answer if you don't have any other SIMs handy.
I suspect that somewhere in the iPhone an HTTP proxy for 3G setting was set and stuck, and trying a new SIM erased that setting.

    Hi Debraj,
You should be able to do that in SM59 of the XI Box.
Create the connection under "HTTP Connections to R/3 System".
Provide the Target Host IP Address.Service Number and Path Prefix.
Select the logon procedure as SAP Standard.

  • HTTP Proxy setting for SOA server

    Hi,
my intention is to enable SOA Server to connect through HTTP Proxy to external services. This occurred when I am trying to connect to Yahoo Mail Server, via User Messaging Service but it keep throwing connection time out. One of the possible solution is to make the service to connect via the HTTP Proxy server in our network.
There are no mention of how to setup HTTP Proxy connection for UMS, as well as SOA Server in any documents.
Please advice or direct me to the relevant solutions.
    Appreciate any help rendered :)
    yee thian

I have not worked in SoA server, but since it uses weblogic server underlying (I assume), you can try setting the -Dhttp.proxyHost , -Dhttp.proxyPort system properties ( https for secured URL's) to WLS to specify the proxy details. Also the product might not have the capability to pass user credentials for authentication at the proxy. The version of OSB we are using had this problem. To overcome this you might require to add the URL to the proxy free list in your proxy server. This prevents the proxy from prompting for the user name when you access that URL.

  • Http proxy authentication for JDev 10.1.3

    Hi,
I found the http proxy settings in the "tools->preferences->Web Browser and Proxy" but there are no settings for the username and password. Is there some other way that I can add these.
The problem is that whenver JDeveloper wants to do some http stuff it (or something else is doing it) asks me for the proxy user name & password - this happens over and over again. If JDev is doing this then surely it should remember the username & password.
I sometimes get a JDeveloper dialog "waiting for the connection" come up over the proxy auth dialog and I have to cancel the function so I can authenticate, then re-request the function.
I wish I didn't have the proxy authentication but I have no choice in this dev environment. I do get to choose JDeveloper at least.
    Regards,
    Simon.

    Hi,
I get it when I 'check for updates' and I get it again when I 'go to JavaDoc' - and this is the one where the "waiting for connection dialog" pops on top of the proxy log in and I have to cancel it to log in. Then all subsequent 'go to JavaDoc' requests go straight through.
I would prefer it if I could just configure (in proxy preferences) the username and password so it never asks me. I dont care if it less secure storing the password since I think authenticating proxies are a dumb idea anyway. If the password is not supplied then JDev can ask for it like it does now to keep the security-paranoid people happy.
Also, this morning I got this Exception which appeared at the same time I got a proxy auth window. When JDev finally started all my previously open windows were lost. No real problem but unexpected. Here is the stack dump:

WSA does has Entrust cert however not for L1K.
You might want to export that certificate to your local machine and imported to the WSA HTTPS proxy Custom Trusted Certificates.
Normally i used Firefox and not using WSA as proxy as initial connection then get the cert from the remote site and save it locally then import it to the WSA HTTPS cert.
You might want to review the HTTPS log as well in WSA and set the log level to debug to get more details as why is failing.

  • Steps to enable Web Proxy for https

I have an S160 WSA and want to enable the Web service for http and https. I am using transparent mode with WCCP.
This is part of the router configuration:
    ACL:
    access-list 110 permit tcp 192.168.80.0 0.0.7.255 any eq 80
    access-list 120 permit tcp 192.168.80.0 0.0.7.255 any eq 443
    ip wccp 97 redirect-list 110
    ip wccp 98 redirect-list 120
    interface FastEthernet0/0.380
    ip wccp 97 redirect in
    ip wccp 98 redirect in
It is the same configuration for http and for https, but only http traffic is working. When I see the logs in the WSA, it looks like accepted connections for https.
In Security Services -> Web Proxy it is enabled, when I put the port 443, I get an https error in the end user laptop; when I dont, it keeps trying and I get a timeout.
I tried enabling https proxy but some sites (as gmail), wont work with self-generated certificates.
Would you please, list me the steps to enable Proxy services for https.
    Thanks!!!
    Sergio L.

    Hi Sergio,
When WSA is configured as transparent proxy, it also accepts explitcit connections. So in order to test HTTPS proxy, you can configure client browser to explicitly use WSA as proxy and see if it is working before testing in transparent mode.
When WSA is used as HTTPS proxy, it uses its self-generated certificate to encrypt the connection between itself and the client browser. Since this certificate is not trusted by browser, it'll throw SSL certificate error when connecting via WSA. In order to get rid of this error, download the self-generated certificate from WSA and install it in your browser as a trusted certificate. That should resolve SSL issue with gmail also.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,
    Chetan
