  • Import for All Duty to be Inventorized

    Dear All,
My company is procuring the Material from foreign. As they r not the registered they can't claim any CVD,Ecs on  CVD & ADC.All these duty to be inventorized.
Please tell  me how to do it?

    Rahul,
Please do the standard process of purchase cycle,
PO > MIRO for Customs duty (1)> GR ( if excise pop up comes cancel it and donot enter the MIRO number for Customs as commercial invoice number ) -->MIRO for material vendor.
With the above transaction, the CVD will add to your Inventory cost as you are not referring the MIRO (1) in GR stage, this is the key step for identifying the CVD value for setoff.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Sridhar

  • BED change in capture excise(J1IEX)-value moved from Inventorized duty to Credit available

    Dear Friends,
Scheduling Agreement has  a material which is subject to non-setoff JMIP(inventorized). WhileGR(105) posting, excise is only captured.
When Excise number is checked in J1IEX, excise inventory value is displayed under Duty Values tab and in Inventorized duty field(because it's JMIP).
Now due to some reason captured excise's BED needs to be changed from 12% to 10% under Duty Rates tab in BED field. Now when this BED percentage change is done, inventorized duty value(in Duty Values tab) becomes ZERO and new value is updated in Credit available field(in Duty Values tab). Now this Credit available field is used for SETOFF values which update CENVAT.
Could anyone please why SAP is behaving in such a way? According to me, new BED value should be updated in inventorized duty value.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Mihir

What i understood from your post is that you have changed the Excise rates from J1IEX transaction from 10 to 12% for example. After doing this, these values are appearing in Set off values instead of Inventorized values. Let me know whether my understanding is correct?
If this is the case, you better cancel the GRN document and Cancel the excise invoice (Provided Excise invoice is not yet posted) and Change the Purchase order / Scheduling agreement (Change Condition records in FV12)  and redo the GRN against Purchase order / Scheduling agreement.
For me, this seems to be bug. You have two options, one is changing the duty back to Inventorizable in Excise tables or raise an oss message for SAP to revert with the correction instruction.

  • All Inventories Value Report&Inventory Ageing Report& Current And as on Date Stock not matching

    Hello All,
I am new to inventory. I need some help.
After opening the periods of purchasing and inventory for the month of April'15. The below reports should match in costing.
But they are not matching. Kindly help on this as its PROD.
    Inventory Ageing Report
Current And as on Date Stock Statement With Value Report
All Inventories Value Report - Average Costing
    Thanks
    RR

MBEWH is the valuation history, this is only updated with the first movement after a period closure. And the period is a month.
There is no table in SAP that holds the stock information on daily basis.
You have to develope this yourself. Easiest method by copying a table like MBEW and MARD  daily to a Z-Table.
A stock situation  at a certain date can be calculated with MB5B.

  • Using Autodesk Inventor on a Mac Pro

I am a user of the CAD program Autodesk Inventor, until recently restricted only to high-end PC's. I am interested in knowing if anyone has run Inventor, Autocad, or any other Autodesk CAD product on a Mac Pro under Windows XP and, if so, what their experience has been.
For anybody with CAD interests, I am running Autodesk Inventor Version 10 and 11 and Autodesk Showcase, and am hoping to run it on a Dual 2.66 Ghz Dual Core Xeon, 2 GB RAM with an aftermarket NVIDIA Quadro FX 550 graphics card (128 mb)
I haven't actually purchased the computer yet, but if it won't run Inventor then I will probably purchase a Dell Precision 690 workstation and a separate Intel-based iMac for video, pictures, etc.
Thanks in advance for any help,

Unfortunately, the Mac Pro doesn't have a good solution for WinXP as of current. The expectation is that Parallels will update their software in the near term - however, unless they started to implement direct 3D that is not an option for CAD.
Your only option is boot camp which isn't running the hard drives at an acceptable speed (only an issue for the Mac Pros). People have said that with a PATA drive in the second drive slot, making the drive the master, and a work around within the mac side for discs - that good speeds have been reached. Of course, since this isn't an optimal solution and we don't know when boot camp (or another party) will have the SATA solution - its up to you to wait or not.
The latest you can expect a fix from boot camp is Leopard (Winter 07).
Parallels may have direct 3D by the end of this year. This though would be a performance cut from a full boot (30% cut shown thus far but 3D may be another issue).
Considering you are saving at least a thousand with the mac pro over the dell - not to mention I personally trust the apple hardware reliability much more so - hopefully you can wait a month or two and hope one of these two solutions come about.

  • Issue in MIRO for inventorized excise tax code

    Hi,
I have created a PO with excise tax code, but the excise amount to be inventorized,
    PO price   : 100
    EXCISE         10
    ECESS          0.20
    SECESS        0.10
    VAT              13.79
Total net amount   100  and tax amount  24.09
now as the excise condition are mark as non deductible so after GR the material and GR account are posted with the amount 110.30, base price + excise tax amount which is OK.  But when I am doing the MIRO  I enter the total amount as 124.09  on the miro screen  then selected the tax code as per PO  then material it is showing with amount as 100 insted of 110.30,  because of this it is showing some balance differene , which i need to correct manually.
Is there any option for this I want to create PO with same procedure with excise tax code which is to be post to inventory  but in MIRO i want to avoid this manual correction.
    regards,

why 124.09 vat also want to inventories ?

  • Cost of inventories, but its component charged by several providers

    Dear Experts,
Cost of inventories comprises all cost of purchase and other cost incurred in bringing the inventories to the present location and condition.
I am wondering whether having a best practise on SAP to manage our overseas purchasing process, that the cost comprises cost of purchase, imported tax, customs fee, port fee, transaportation fee from the port to the plan, but charged by different vendors. These cost can be measured prior to creating the PO (planned cost).
    Thanks.

  • Inventorized Excise duty

    Dear Experts,
i am facing following problem during part 2 posting of excise invoice -
Material is assigned with Chapter ID
The material cenvat determination has been maintained
Excise tax rates have also been maintained
System has loaded Excise duty amounts on material at the time of GRN and no amount is available towards Excise duty for part 2 posting of Cenvat.
Kindly suggest  the reason of such system behaviour
Over and above this if vendor excise indicator is not 1 in j1ID, still system allows to post excise duties in part 1 capturing within GRN. pleaseclarify whether this is a standard SAP behaviour or some thing is wrong in our system.
    Regards,
    Pawan Khurana

    HI Pawan,
The condition types JMIP for the BED is an inventorized condition types ment for duties to be loaded on the material value at the time of GR (MIGO), and JMOP also for BED is an non inventorized condition types ie to say while doing GR (MIGO) system will not load the duty value on the material with the aid of the account key VS1 it will be post to seperate Gl acc ment for excise posting.....
The way i see the person who has cretaed the PO has selected the wrong tax code while creating the PO by mistake so this tax code which is linked to the condition records containing condirion types which are meant for nondeductible taxes therefore while doing MIGO the values are getting loaded on the material in spite of hitting the excise accounts.
Remedy is to reverse the GR done and change the PO in ME22N and now this time select the correct tax code which will pull deductible condition types from the records.

  • Problem with Adobe Acrobat Pro Extended version 9.3.4 reading Inventor 2009

I would like to be able to generate 3D PDF files from Autodesk Inventor CAD models (e.g. .iam files) using Adobe Acrobat Pro Extended.  I am constrained to use Inventor 2009.  When I originally installed Acrobat Pro Extended, I was able to make this work after installing the IMPORT3D update at:
    http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4073
Recently (9/5/2010), I updated Acrobat Pro Extended to version 9.3.4.  I believe that following that update, I lost the ability to read in Inventor 2009 files.  Acrobat Pro Extended now gives the error messages:
"Exception has been raised" followed by:
"Acrobat could not open 'file' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded).  To create an Adobe PDF document, go to the source application. Then print the document to Adobe PDF."
This is exactly what happened when I first installed Acrobat Pro extended and before I installed the IMPORT3D update mentioned above.  I tried re-installing that update but now the installer gives the error message:
"No qualifying products found to apply this update."
Note that Inventor 2009 does allow one to "Save Copy As" to PDF format, but this just creates a 2D PDF snapshot of the current model view -- same for print to pdf.
I suppose one thing to try is removing Acrobat Pro Extended and then re-installing without the 9.3.4 update, but with the IMPORT3D update -- but if that is necessary, then I won't be able to take advantage of any further updates (e.g. security updates) to Acrobat, which seems like a bad situation.
Has anyone else had this problem? Or is it just me?

I may have figured out what was causing my problem with conversion of Inventor 2009 to 3D PDF.  After playing around with a number of inventor files, I discovered that the conversion worked fine when there were no references to external files.  For example a .ipt file (part file) seemed to convert fine.  I believe the problem was that on the form one obtains with Edit->Preferences->Convert to PDF->Autodesk Inventor->Edit Settings->Import->Assembly, the check box for "use root file directory" was NOT checked.  Oddly, this is the default and I'm pretty sure I tried setting the conversion options to the default.  In any case, I now seem to be able to perform the conversion of Inventor 2009 to 3D PDF so this problem is solved I guess.

  • Agent inventories Macs HW only or none seemingly at random

The Inventory Only Agent (10.3) has NEVER worked in our heterogenous environment. After investigating the installation, OS, logs, etc., here is what I have found so far:
    1. The installation goes smoothly and indicates that in the /var/log/zenumia-install.log
    2. The inventory files (sp.spx, *-last.pdict) on the client have full inventories
    3. There is nothing that differentiates the HW & SW, HW only, and No inventoried systems.
    4. The OS are 10.5.8 and 10.6.6, but that doesn't seem to have any bearing on the outcome.
    5. The XML inventory file that gets created and uploaded to the server is the first indication of the problem. It reveals HW & SW, HW only, or No inventories, which means what ever creates the XML file on the client isn't reading the inventory files in the /usr/local/novell/zenumia/umia folder, at least not properly.
Tried deleteing .pdict, .xml, and .cfg files, changing inventory schedule on server, fixing permissions, clearing caches, even completely removing agent and reinstalling new agent. All systems report the same respective degree of inventory.
It would help if I knew the actual detailed process used to collect and create the XML file. Or if someone knows the problem, I would sure like to hear it. Thank you to any and all for any help you can provide.

  • Acrobat Pro Extended to Inventor 2010 Issues

I purchased Acrobat Pro Extended last night in order to make some 3D PDFs for a sales trip TOMORROW and I cannot get this to work. I have updated APE to version 9.2.0 like one post suggested but it is still not working properly.
I can create some models from inventor files but only those that are one assembly file with a few parts. If I try to create a model from an inventor file that has a "top level assembly" (Inventor Term) with several "sub assemblies" I get one of three things:
1.) I get a 3D pdf that has only loaded the last of the three sub assemblies in the file (only on certain models)
2.) I get this message "Conversion Error" followed by this message "Acrobat could not open <file name> because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded)"
3.) I get this message "Exception has been raised" followed by this message "Acrobat could not open <file name> because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded)"
I am in deep trouble here and need to get this working if you all could be so kind. I did not wait until the last minute I was unfortunately told to prepare this yesterday, sorry for the urgency.
    Jean Chile

I had problems until it updated to 9.2, then all went OK.
I've created 3D parts, assemblies and assemblies containing assemblies from IV 2010 files (see attached).

  • 3D PDF'S from Inventor 2010

I've just downloaded the trial version to check the ability of Acrobat 9 Pro Extended to produce 3D PDF's of Inventor 2010 parts and assemblies with the intention of installing it on all our CAD computers so that 3D images will be available to non-CAD staff and be included on our web site.
When selecting files to create 3D PDF's from I have the option to select .ipt (IV parts) and .iam (IV assemblies) files but all those I have tried fail to convert.   The error message tells me the file is either not supported (but they are listed for me to select), or damaged but even newly created files fail?
Is Acrobat able to create 3D PDF's of IV part or assembly files or not?

Dave, thanks for your prompt response.
Thus far I've been able to produce 3D pdf's, from inside Inventor 2010, with individual part files (= .ipt), and some small assembly files (= .iam) ).
But I can't get the program to convert large iam files, which is the reason why I bought it.
    1. Please tell me if Acrobat 9PE works with "Direct X" graphics, when using the "Print Screen" method.
    2. Please tell me if Acrobat X Pro/Extended works w/Inventor 2010.
    3. Please tell me where I can get a detailed "Help" file for the "3d Editor". The existing "Help" file is incomplete in many of the details. It looks like the parent company of the 3d add-on did a shoddy job of documenting the program.
    Thanks ... Chris

  • CVD VALUE GETTING INVENTORIZED IN IMPORT PO

    Hi Friends,
In my Factory based stock transport PO  for import purchase, I have mentioned CVD and EDB condition type. When I take receipt of the material, for the oubound delivery (plant A to plant B) , the CVD value is getting inventorised. Since I will be getting cenvat for this value , I  want that not to add this value in the invetory value i.e. cost of the material. What settings is required so that this value donot add up in the material cost . I heard that CVD condition can be statistical and then JEDB can be calculated on it. Does anybody have got idea about this.
Or    can  anyone suggest any other alternate for this scenario.
    Thanks & Best Regards,
    Atul K

    hi
CVD doesnt add to the material cost ,it is the customs duty which get inventorised
now ru doing STO or what
if it is the import purchase at a plnt then check following
in ur pricing u have to create following
    JCDB IN: Basic Custom Duty
    JCV1 IN : CVD
JECV IN : Ed Cess on CVD
    J1CV IN : H&SECess on CVD
JEDB IN : Ed Cess on BCD
JSDB IN : H&SECess on BCD
    JADC Additional Duty of Custom
JCV1, JECV, J1CV and JADC will go to Excise MODVAT Accounts and JCDB, JEDB and JSDB will get loaded on inventory.
    In M/06, for all above conditions, keep following controls;
Cond. class A (Discount or surcharge) Plus/minus A (Positive)
    Calculat.type A (Percentage)
    Cond.category B (Delivery costs)
    Activate "Currency Conversion" and "Accrual"
    Now for setoff
maintain the following conditions in excise default settings.
    JCV1, JECV, JADC
    path: spro>logistic general >tax on goods movements>India >basic settings>determination of excise duty >maintain excise defaults >
along with ur tax procedure maintain these conditions in the specified fields
    JCV1 in CVD condition field.
    JECV in ECS condition field.
    JADC in ACD condition field.
in case of SECess on CVD, no need to maintain.
it is hardcode in the standard
Vendor in GR 2 (Entry always possible)
    Import scenario
1.Create material master of import goods.
    2. Create vendor master record of import vendor and Customs clearing vendor.
    3. Maintain CIN settings.
    4. Maintain J1id.
    5. Maintain Pricing procedure SAP standard JIMPOR.., maintain required conditions..JCDB, JCV1...
6.Assign the schema to respective import vendor in purchasing view of VMR.
    7. Create import PO, check in conditions of JCDB, JCV1 the customs clearing vendor(Indian vendor) and percentage is assigned. This can be done by In condition tab select condtion then click on display, then enter.
    Save the PO.
    8. MIRO --Capture Bill Of Entry.(Commercial Invoice No.,).Customs clearing first .Here CVD will b converted to BED.
    9. Capture Excises invoice--j1iex.
    10.MIGO.
    12.Post Excise Invoice.
    13.MIRO...Payment to vendor(import vendor)
    PLEASE EXPLAIN THE SCENARIO

  • Difference between Excise duty on Setoff and Excise duty on Inventory

    Hi,
What is the difference between Excise duty for Setoff and Excise duty for Inventory?
    regards,
    sathya

    hi Sathya
Excise duty on set off means the values goes to a particular G/L and take the credit of it whie selling the material. Excise duty on inventory means your value will get loaded to your inventory. In case of duties on set off, you define your own account keys against condition type in tax procedure and G/L is assigned to this Acc key on OBYC/OB40. and in case of duty on inventory, standard acc key NVV is assigned and no G/L assignment is carried out in OBYC/OB40.
    Reward if helpful.
    Thanks & Regards

  • BED is Double in No ED setoff Conditions

    Hello,
Such scenarioes of manual excise is also applicable for receipts in
depot. e.g. when duty is paid w.r.t MRP, RG23D needs to be updated with
MRP less abatement for excise base value (instead of PO base value) and
BED @ applicable rate on MRP less abatement. In PO, the ED payable
w.r.t. MRP less abatement is shown as Manual Excise. How do we address
    this issue?
For This We are Creating the ZMRP condition type for materials.. in this condition type we are maintaining the MRP value of material.
And Created the ZABT condition type for abatement (38%) and maintained the records.
And mainatained the ZED% for calculation of ED which calculated on ZMRP-Abartment charge(Suppose MRP value is 100 INR & the 38% Abttement means 100-38 on 62 INR ED is calulated.for this
ZED% maintained for material and plant specific.. and Assigned the Subtotal 5 for this one.in Pricing
While in Setoff Tax code ED is calculted correct in Mfg plant as well as Depot.
But Depot is having the No ED setoff the ED is Becoming Double... The ZED% value is Adding the JMO2 value and Becoming double
    Regards
    Mahesh Naik

    Dear Mahesh,
I am not clear in your problem but there is a work around. U should set the %of duties to match the total price in  eg. now your problem is that  ZED% is getting double. for this particular material temporarily set % of ZED in JM02 .  Now you  check by creating a PO and doing the GR and MIRO for the material received.
After the transaction is over u reset it back to the actual value.  Check this senario and check that at this moment PO values should not be affected for other materials and try to avoid doing PO of other material till u finish this PO.
If the above is not working out u have to manipulate basic price and the conditions accordingly and create the PO so as to get the values to be adjusted for setoff.
We have faced this problem with BED as the basic price is given discount but the excise duty is charged according to the actual value.
