SetProperty on OData model - update multiple entities before submitChanges on batch

I have a list in my application:
This data is bound to an OData model.
If I perfrom call I can retrieve the data fod the "fridge" item:I can retieve the OData for item 456.
this.getView().getModel().getProperty("/Items(BookingId='123',ItemId='Fridge')")
Therefore I can set the couonter like this:
this.getView().getModel().setProperty("/Items(BookingId='123',ItemId='Fridge')"+"/ItemCount", 6)
But once I have done this "SetProperty" call I am now unable to set any other properties on any of the other items!
What I want is to be able to change as many items as I like and then on SAVE do a batch OData PUT to update the values in the backend.
If I'm honest what I really want is to be able to do a DEEP INSERT into my OData provider, which contains a Booking, with nested sub-items..
Booking 1:m Items
How can I do this whilst also using the "setProperty" method?
setProperty is great in regards to if I make changes and then hit "CANCEL" I can call "resetChanges" to undo any changes.. but at the moment I can only change ONE of these counters before commiting my changes...
Surely this must be a common requirement, to make many changes in the front-end to multiple entities and then POST/PUT them all at once?

You'll probably need to give a little more information about your particular scenario but if you're doing this update server side using the updating method of your entity then you have access to do what you like with any record/entity.
If the entities are related then it may just be a case of a statement like:
YourEntity.YourRelatedEntity.SomeProperty = "Hello world.";
Or you could call a entity specifically from another table and update it accordingly:
AnotherTable ent = DataWorkspace.ApplicationData.AnotherTable.Where(r => r.id == 5).FirstOrDefault();
if (ent != null)
ent.Description = "Hello World.";

Model update validation in between wizard-style pages before commit

Dear All,
We have a number of wizard-style pages (generated by JHeadstart). We navigate between pages using a <af:singlestepbuttonbar> control. We'd like to be able to validate model updates when navigating (next) from one
page to the next, rather than having to wait till the Commit action on the last page.
The model validations should only be performed for model updates that are relevant for the current page being navigated from.
Any suggestions on how we can achieve this would highly be appreciated.

Comparing fields from multiple entities in the same report (report builder 1.0)

Created a model that contains 2 entities. I open that model in report builder 1.0. When I drag a field from one of the entities into the design area, i can no longer see the other entity or use any of the fields from that other entity.
I need to use fields from both entities in the same report (join tables). In management studio i would simply write a query and join tables but i cannot figure out how to do this in report builder. Once i select a field from one entity
how do i select fields from more than one entity and drag them into the same report.

Would it be possible for you to send me instructions for this? I am not that familiar with SQL coding but I can definitely figure it out. I have been wanting to get information on reports from multiple entities for a very long time! The only way I can
currently do it is have our document management software people write the report for me for quite a large fee. I would much rather do this myself. Right now I can select a few fields from one entity (the main one), some from a second entity under that one,
but I cannot add any fields from a third entity! Quite annoying and hindering! Thank you :)

If you are able to insert into, all you need to do is iterate through the rows. For this , before the first IF condition
if(getR2().equals("A")&& h1!=1)Get the row count using int numRows =vo9.getRowCount(); , and then write it before the IF condition

It looks like you may have to reinstall itunes.
There are multiple things you should uninstall (and in a certain order) according to apple.
Also, even thought your music and itunes library information should not be affected in the uninstall, I would strongly recomend backing it up. Go to where you keep your music files and make sure you back up everything in the folders "itunes" and "itunes music".
The directions for the reinstall are here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925 They include what to uninstall and in what order. This is for itunes 9 and earlier, but I think it is the same for itunes 10.

According to your description, my understanding is that you want to update multiple items in another list when updated a list item.
In the event receiver, you can update the multiple item using Client Object Model.

Set filter criteria on page 1 for page 2 OData model - "best practice"?

Hello, I have a problem with an app - where I want to filter data on a second page, based on settings from the first page. I use an OData model.
The collections on both pages are not related in terms of "navigation" properties, that is my problem and I can not change the data source...
So I am looking for ideas/best practices to solve this because sometimes my filtering doesn't work... the following problem occurred: Request aborted
I have a page with a sap.m List with items="{/tabWorkPlace}" and and a local JSON model where I store relevant data during the app lifecycle.

I don't write this code into the onInit() or beforeRendering() function, because they are called only once and I am navigating back and forth between the two pages, because the pages are created only once and "just" the data is changed.
The desired page looks like this - with an other collection bound to it:

But when I call it - then the request gets aborted:

But despite the fact the Request is aborted, the list on the second page is filtered!
The filter criteria for the model works when I type it into the browser with URL. Maybe this fails because the data binding for the list didn't took place at this phase?
I have this pattern (filter criteria on one page and result on the second page) more times - (and I think a better data model would be better with navigation properties would be better, but I cannot change it)
But at another constellation the filtering doesn't work - same error... the following problem occurred: Request aborted
I also don't want to change the pattern (page 1 to page 2) into popup lists or this fancy new filtering possibilities because it is not suitable for my use case.
Is there maybe a more elegant solution - because sometimes filtering works, sometimes don't..., do I have an error in my solution (general approach)?

Hello, yeah you are right, but it works without the odata> stuff because of this in App.controller.js:

So my question is - how to navigate from one page to another - and on the other page first bind a collection to a select and then when selecting bind certain elements (a textfield) to the selected filtered entity.
The stuff with context and binding won't work, because the two Collections don't have a navigation/association property between them...
So for example:
page1
select a list item with property color: red and year 1985. Press one of the buttons and pass this criteria to another page.
page 2:
show a dropdown box with all car names which fullfill this criteria, and when one car is selected, then display the data for THIS car in several text fields.
This is not a master->detail navigation example, because on page 1 i select certain criterias, and then with buttons I navigate to several pages with those criterias.
But since the OData model has no relationships it is really hard to do it manually... With a dummy mock.json like in DJ Adams Fiori like SAPUI5 apps it is no problem... But with OData and no things related to each other it is hard...

There are several options. One of them could be
1) use <input name=rc[j] value="..."> instead of
display a raw text
2) parse parameters in doPost method of your servlet
to update appropriate values.
3) Make a empty row enable inserts

I'm a OPA beginner, and I've tried to create multiple entities in different levels
I've tried but I got not get it to compile.
I wonder if the following is possible and appropriate in OPA:
1. The parent is global with a relationship to the child

So far I've only seen solutions regarding several entitys but at the same level such as:
1. The parent is global with a relationship to the car
2 The car is an entity with a relationship to the parent
3. The tie is an entity with a relationship to the parent

Hi Bo,
Yes, this is definitely something that OPA is well suited to.
If you create a new project in OPM and add a new properties file. Create an entity called 'the child' and an entity called 'the pet'. Assuming you use the default Global entity as the Parent, then you will be able to define relationships between the three entities in the manner you described.
Once you have, you can chose View -> Data Model from the OPM tool bar and look at your entity structure.

Update multiple records on one page

I have a page that displays records based on a varible that
is selected on
the previous page.
So on this page i have displaying 3 columns
Store # Allowance Total
They have asked now instead of clicking on each indivual
record to mark it
as completed, they would like to just place a check next to
each one and let
it update those records for that store....
Ex.
Store 20 has a total of 7 records and has an allowance of
$6000.00 then
they would place 1 check mark next to that store and hit
submit and it would
update all 7 records with a status of completed.
I have read thru some not all but some of the example links i
found for
updating multiple records. But they seem more complex than
what im trying to
do. Since this page is populated dynamically how can i code
it so it
understands when there is new stores listed and records.
Is there any links or tutorial that anyone would recommend
that will explain
the process for creating this functionality?

Update multiple records from a list

Just trying to find some tutorials on how to update multiple
records from 1
page of checkboxes
easiest example is hotmail
i would like to be able to give my clients the ability to
delete or update
multiple records from 1 page... mind you that this type of
update woudl only
be for simple status changes, flags that need to be changed
and so on...
Delete... well if they made it to this page they are already
sure and have
been warned that they are going to delete the records..
where can i find such a tutorial on how to complete multiple
record updates
or deletes from 1 form...

If you log into hotmail. you have the option to check all the
emails you
want to delete.
well thats what i want to do with my clients sites...
Each record would have its own checkbox, they select the
records they want
to delete or update and they hit submit to process there
request.
