Setting 1280x1024 Screen size in Jdeveloper 11.1.1.4 for development

Hi All,
I am using JDeveloper 11.1.1.4 to develop an ADF application. I want to develop UI screens for lowest screen resolution as (1280x1024). But in the JDeveloper IDE in the resolution dropdown, I can only see the following
Full screen
400x600
600x800
800x1200
1024x768
1280x720
1600x1200
1680x1050
Problem is most of the end-user (customers) screens have maximum resolution of 1280x1024. My development PC resolution is 1600x1200. Can I can use the full screen option in JDeveloper after setting my screen resolution to 1280x1024? Will it suffice or is there a way to set JDeveloper for 1280x1024 resolution in the IDE for development purpose.
Thanks

I previously developed under full screen option and my PC resolution was 1600x1200. But when the application was ran on other screens it was displaying with some page contents being cut out. It was due to other machines running on lower resoultion. I will need now redesign the pages to run on user defined lower resolution of 1280x1024. How do I setup Jdeveloper design tab to show for 1280x1024.
Thanks

  • How do I set the screen size of my site?

    Hey guys making a site for a friend and I'm not sure on how I go about setting a screen size that can be viewed on varying screen sizes like 1280x800 and up. At the moment on my 1920x1080 display it looks fine but when I open it on her MacBook Pro (1280x800) it is cut of by half and my website has some fixed anchors which I do not allow scrolling so you are kind of stuck.
    Thanks to anyone that can help, can't find a tutorial anywhere

    In the normal state the screen on an iPad will rotate depending on which side is up. Any of the four sides can be up or on top and the display will look correct. But if you want to lock the display in one orientation you can. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to reveal the Control Center. Then tap on the Orientation Lock icon. That's the icon of the small padlock surrounded by a circular arrow. That icon will appear at the top right of the display and the screen will no longer rotate. Repeat the same procedure to unlock orientation.

  • Setting IDE font size in JDeveloper 10.1.3 EA

    Is there a way to change default font size in JDeveloper? I am not asking about code editor (I know that), but about menus, title bars, labels, etc.
    I have large screen (1400x1050) and I set my default system font larger. Old JDeveloper (10.1.2) obeyed this, but new is still using default font size.
    I am using Windows XP with SP2.

    Hi Yaniv,
    I can't reproduce this problem. On my system, the font in the messages log under the windows look and feel is large enough to be easily readable.
    http://www.dubh.org/jdevimages/font-log-window.png
    A few questions:
    - Which version of jdev are you using (I'm assuming 10.1.3, since that's what the rest of this post is about)?
    - Are you running windows on a non-western charset?
    - Are you running base jdev or the full jdev?
    Thanks,

  • Set default screen size

    when FFX launches it defaults to a screen size smaller then I'd like for default. Is there a way to change this?
    I run it on an external 24" screen of an MBA running 10.7.5

    Hello metropical,
    Thank you for contacting Mozilla Support. That does sound frustrating. After doing some searching on our support site I've found that if you EXIT Firefox, the window will return to the same position it was in at the START of the last session. If you CLOSE Firefox it will save the position it was in at the END of the last session.
    Please let us know if this solves your problem.
    Cheers,

    Hi Peter
    If there is no size limit and you only intend to view them yourself rather than send them via MMS then the highest resolution (352 x 288) will give the best picture quality.
    Obviously the lower the resolution the poorer the quality (128 x 96) but also the smaller the file size. So you've got to work out:
    A) What you want to do with the file (send it or just review it)
    B) How much space you are prepared to let it take on your memory.
    Remember you can always send it by bluetooth or infrared if you want to give a copy to friends.

  • Emulating different mobile screen sizes in netbeans ?

    Hi , I've tried messing around in emulator settings, but can't find a way to set the screen size so I can test my app on different conifigurations... can anyone help ?

    This is very easy in netbeans, right click your project, then go to properties, then go to abilities, here you will see a table with column name 'ability' and 'value' . There you will find two parameters named 'ScreenWidth' and 'SreenHeight'. Change these two values as you wish . You r done :)
    Enjoy netbeans

    Hi,
    Can anybody help me of designing Vi for different screen sizes. I have designed a VI for a monitor of small size and lower resolution but when I open the same Vi on a different monitor,objects are not aligned properly. The properties which I have changed are
    Window appearence->Default
    Window Size -> Panel size 0,0   & Tick marked options of Maintain propotions for different monitors and scale all objects
    Window Run Time position-> Maximum

    Imran,
    I can't solve your problem entirely.  However when I have to write a program that will be deployed on a variety of monitor sizes, I tend to set the size of the Front Panel to suit the smallest monitor, and then remove the ability of the user to resize it.
    Also, set it to run in the centred position.
    See attachments.

  • Screen Size - Custom vs Preset

    I am creating a new project with Captivate 2. The minimum
    viewer screen resolution is 800 x 600 so I have been looking at the
    default preset sizes for setting the screen size. It is my
    impression that the default 790 x 555 is still too "large" for a
    movie to appear without scrollbars.
    As such, I am looking at using a custom setting of something
    like 760 x 500 for the screen size.
    Am I missing something, or is this a reasonable assumption?

    Sounds good to me. The default sizes don't seem to account
    well for the realities of today's browsers.
    I've been using custom sizes that are smaller than the
    defaults, and I'm starting to worry that I may need to go even
    smaller yet....

  • CP5: Is there a way I can set the resolution size before I start recording?

    When I launch Adobe Captivate 5, I click on "Create New.. Software Simulation", but I can't find a way of setting the screen size / resolution before I start recording, like there is when you click "Create New... Blank Project".
    I prefer to do a new Software Simulation instead of a Blank Project because I can record in Demo, Training and Assement modes all at once, and I don't get this option when I start a project.
    Can someone help me?
    Many thanks!

    Hello and welcome to the forum,
    Choose 'Custom size' after having selected the application to record, and you will be able to choose a resolution. If you choose Application or  Application region the current resolution, size of that application or that region will be kept. But with custom size you can have a resolution and the application snapping to that resolution.

  • MacMini maximum screen size?

    Hi! Does anyone know what the maximum screen size (in inches and/or resolution) is for a Mac Mini?

    Many thanks for your help. Not quite sure yet, but just wanted to be sure that if I bought, say, a 24 inch display that the graphics card in the MacMini would cope. Nigel.
    Nigel, welcome!

    There is no limit on inches.

  • Best practice for setting or detecting screen size?

    Hi All,
    Trying to determine a best practice for setting or detecting the screen size. For playbook and iOS, I can set them. But for Android, the number of devices is too large so I'd rather detect. My first choice is to use the stage.stageHeight and stage.stageWidth. This works fine if I set my stage properties with standard meta data:
    [SWF(height="320", width="480", frameRate="64", backgroundColor="#010101")]
    However, if I use the application descriptor file to set the stage dimentions (as suggested by Christian Cantrell here http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flash/articles/authoring_for_multiple_screen_sizes.html)
    <initialWindow>
    <aspectRatio>landscape</aspectRatio>
    <autoOrients>false</autoOrients>
    <width>320</width>
    <height>480</height>
    <fullScreen>true</fullScreen>
    </initialWindow>
    Then the stage.stageHeight and stage.stageWidth are not the correct numbers when my main class is added to the stage. Sometime after the main class is added to the stage, then those numbers are fine. Is there an event I can wait for to know that the stage.stageHeight and stage.stageWidth are correct?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Lee,
    Thanks for the quick response! However, for some reason the heightPercent & widthPercent metadata tags are not working as expected for me.
    I have a wrapper class that I target for compiling, WagErgApplePhone.as where I've got my metadata
    [SWF(heightPercent="100%", widthPercent="100%", frameRate="64", backgroundColor="#010101")]
    sets some stage properties
    stage.quality=StageQuality.LOW;
    stage.scaleMode = StageScaleMode.NO_SCALE;
    stage.align = StageAlign.TOP_LEFT;
    and instantiates my main class
    var main:Main = new Main();
    addChild(main);
    my main class constructor even waits for the stage
    public function Main(){
    if (stage) init();
    else addEventListener(Event.ADDED_TO_STAGE, init);
    in my init function, stage.stageHeight traces out as 375 (expecting 320).
    i have a function which is called via a button press event by the user, and stage.stageHeight traces out correctly (320) there. that's what makes me think that if i wait long enough, i can get the correct stageHeight before init/drawing. but i'm not sure what event to listen for, or if there's another trick.
    if i use Capabilities.screenResolutionX and Capabilities.screenResolutionY the correct values are provided for mobile, but these values are not useful for the desktop and web version of the app. if there's no other solution, i'll execute different code depending on platform.
    again, for reference, my app descriptor:
    <initialWindow>
    <aspectRatio>landscape</aspectRatio>
    <autoOrients>false</autoOrients>
    <width>320</width>
    <height>480</height>
    <content>bin-iOS/WagErgApplePhone.swf</content>
    <title>WAG ERG</title>
    <fullScreen>true</fullScreen>
    <renderMode>cpu</renderMode>
    </initialWindow>
    looking forward to any other ideas to try out & thanks so much for your thoughts! if you want to really dig in, this is an opensource project at code.google.com/p/wag-erg/
