Setting Apache back after upgrade

I just upgraded my apache to version 2, however, i decided that i didnt want to as its a different version from the remote server and i want to go back to the version that came with os x. However, i've completely lost it from the preferences's pane, web sharing is uncheckable now. How can i put everything back right without having to reinstall the OS?

You should be able to download a previous version of Apache from here http://httpd.apache.org/download.cgi and then just overwrite the one that you are using now.
If that doesn't work than you could open the Package contents of your OS Install CD's/DVD's and find the Apache.pkg and re-install that.
Let me know if you still need help after you have tried these options.

You can look at this document about a restore, http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414, but it will show you that after you restore, it takes you to the Setup assistant which is what you encounter with a new device. From there, you select to restore to a backup and select the iCloud backup.

Problems with set up disc after upgrading hard drive

I am having problems starting up my Macbook after upgrading the hard drive from 80GB to 160GB. The new hd is SATA, a WDScorpio. The pins on the end look the same, and I've had no problem with the physical install. When I go to start up the Macbook, I get a gray screen and the "flashing manila file w/a question mark" icon. I load the disc while holding down the "C" key, and all that happens is the disc gets ejected. What am I doing wrong? I also have my hd backed up w/time machine in an external hd. Any ideas?

Turns out, my problem is a malfunctioning optical drive. My Macbook couldn't read the set up disc. This is the second time in a week that I have had this Macbook into the apple store for warranty repair work. Last week, It was a defective VGcable. Each trip to the Applestore is 115 miles round trip from where I live. I tried to get Apple to give me a new computer, but no dice. I even had a district manager in Boise Idaho hang up on me. It's too bad when they know they have a product which everyone loves, and wants to use. They can set the terms. How many things must go wrong before they just replace the @#$# thing? I bought the Macbook Feb 12th, so it's not that old. I have handled it with the utmost care. Anyway, I've tasted the forbidden fruit, and will continue to use Apple products. Thanks for your help. I'll probably have a much easier time with a computer that works. (knock on wood)

We need to know more, to be able to understand what you have done.
How did you save your images to the external drive? Did you copy your Aperture library there?
Is your Aperture library referenced or managed - did you store the original image files outside the Aperture library or are they included in your Aperture library? If you have referenced images, did you back them up too?
The error message you are seeing, shows that Aperture cannot find the original image file. That is indicated by the yellow warning badge with the arrow.
If your Aperture library is referenced, you need to restore your backed up original image files as well from their backup, and then use the the command "File > Locate Referenced Files" to reconnect the image versions with the missing original files. Do you have a backup of the originals? If you cannot restore your referenced originals, you can turn your previews into new originals; post back, if you need help with that.
If your Aperture library is managed, and all your originals are included inside your Aperture library, try if the Aperture Library First Aid Tools can fix this:
Repairing and Rebuilding Your Aperture Library: Aperture 3 User Manual
Check if the "Masters" folder inside your Aperture Library contains any image files: Crtl-click the Aperture library and use "Show Package Contents". Are the missing original image files inside?

Thanks, for your replies. I've got a late 2012 iMac (2.7 GHz Intel Core i5). I was previously running Snow Leopard - Not sure exactly what version but it was right up to date.
The Adobe software I'm using is the Creative Cloud. Specifically InDesign cc. Whenever I try to browse folders through the InDesign software the browser window closes before I can do what I need to do. So I cant place images into my InDesign document or save documents properly.
On the Adobe website it says that they worked with apple to fix any bugs before the Mavericks release but there's lots of complaints on the forums. I've left a bug notification with Adobe but I don't expect that they will be offering any solutions or software updates any time soon.
I really just want to revert back without too much trouble.

I'm using Panther 10.3.9 and I upgraded to iTunes 5.0.1(4).
5 only have problem with iTunes after upgrading it it's the only application I have problem with. It doesn't metter if iTunes is only app runnig or there are some other app runnig it just works slow. For example it is open now and the safari browser is open ant the itunes is working but I have to wait long time until iTunes opened. And there is onother thing it looks strange - I mean it doesn't look like other applications it's graphical interface is very poor and looks like programs from past. I repaired permissions after upgrading because there wher some other upgrades something about java scriot and somthin that I don;t remember. What You mean to trash iTunes preference file. Does it mean to trash the whole app? I do not undersand clearly.

Cannot set display resolution after upgrading to Mavericks

I have early Mac Mini connected to KVM stitch. Over the weekend I upgraded to Mavericks and it "dowgraded" display resolution from 1920x1200 to 1600x1200 and everythign looks streached. 1920x1200 no longer shows on the list in display properties (1920x1440 shows but it does not look good on my screen). I googled Option key trick and hitting "Scaled" while hold Option key does show some additional resolutions, but not the one I used to have.
Connecting Mac directly to the monitor allowed me to set proper resolution and after removing monitor and pluging mac back into KVM things "held" untill Mac goes to sleep or until reboots.
I am aware that my KVM switch does not communicate EDID but things did work just fine before upgrade to Mavericks.

It sounds like you are getting a graphical anomoly when unplugging an external monitor. I recommend these troubleshooting steps from the article named:

Reset the system
You can reset the Mac's parameter RAM and SMC.
Reset the resolution
Start by resetting the Mac's parameter RAM. If the display does not come up, was previously set to an unsupported resolution, and still results in no video:
Start up in Safe Mode.
From the Apple () menu, choose System Preferences.
Choose Displays from the View menu to open the preferences pane.
Select any resolution and refresh rate that your display supports.
Restart your computer.

Report Ret Add set to default after upgrading to 5.1.0-314

I upgraded to 5.1.0-314 on Apr 10, 2007, and since that time I never received any periodic scheduled report as usual any more.
Today I just found that the Report Returns Adress has been change back to:
"IronPort Reporting" <reporting> so it is the default setting.
Previous return address was:
"IronPort Reporting" <postmaster@our_own_domain>
email reporting@hostname was being rejected since it doesn't exist.
Why it's changed back to default? I search on the current XML configuration (after and before change the return address) and never found keyword : reporting@hostname value at all.
So Weird. Anyone experience the same issue? or anyone from Ironport could explain this?

Unfortunately that's a known problem. In the AsyncOS 5.1.0 ReleaseNotes IronPort say: "Upgrading to AsyncOS 5.0 or later from a previous release will erase all scheduled and archived reports from your system."

There are three things you can do.
1) Type 0000. That is normally the standard passcode, or try 1234.
2) Do a reset by holding the on/off and home buttons together until the Apple logo appears.

Backup up your current phone, the restore your new phone to this backup when you set it up, as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2109. The backup won't contain your music and other iTunes media; you'll need to sync your new phone with iTunes to transfer this. Be sure to sync your contacts with iCloud (Settings>iCloud>Contacs>On) as they aren't always recovered when restoring to your backup.
