Setting color dynamically - Urgent

Hi,
Based on the flag in my table , I need to set the color of a boilerplate object dynamically( a small square )
I've tried format triggers, but in vain.
Could someone help me out

Since you are setting a rectangle, the PL/SQL would be:
if (:P_1 IS NOT NULL)
then
srw.set_foreground_fill_color('red');
srw.set_fill_pattern('solid');
end if;
You were probably missing the 'solid' call since setting a value if the pattern is 'transparent' has no effect.
The "Conditional Formatting" property against any layout object allows you to graphically create these format exceptions to be added to the format trigger for that object.

Updating a JTabbedPane's selected tab color dynamically

I have set the selected tab color for my JTabbedPane
using:
UIManager.put("TabbedPane.selected", Color.RED);Now I would like to change the color dynamically to green.
However, just calling:
UIManager.put("TabbedPane.selected", Color.GREEN);doesn't work.
It seems that if the JTabbedPane is visible while I change the color through the UIManager, it has no effect.
On the other hand, all the other JTabbedPanes in my application (which are not visible - in hidden dialogs), are effected.
How can I effect ALL the JTabbedPanes in my application at the same time?

SwingUtilities.updateComponentTreeUI(selectedPane);

The following is the basic setup for DDNS on the AirPort using AirPort Utility v5x:
AirPort Utility > Select the base station > Manual Setup >AirPort > Base Station tab > Edit ...
Use dynamic global hostname (checked)
Hostname: <enter your DDNS service domain here>
User: <enter your DDNS user account name>
Password: <enter your DDNS user account password>
Click "Done."
AirPort Utility > Select the base station > Manual Setup > Disks > File Sharing tab > Share disks over the Internet with Bonjour (checked)

I will look at keywords. My issue is speed. Right now I am culling and editing an event shoot that spanned a week with 35 separate events and more than 5000 images. So I use the fastest most convenient method I can and it still takes a long time to have a completed and final shoot. On this shoot I will end up with a final set of around 1500 images. Right now I am finishing processing a show that will hang in the Deutsches Amerikanish Zentrum in Stuttgart.
As I am sure you are aware by now, having seen enough of my inane questions that over the last two years or since Lightroom version 1.xx if I could not figure out how to do something I skipped it. So many things in Lightroom are buried and unless you have a mind like a steel trap (and think that some of you guys in the forum do) locating how to do something is not obvious.
For example, I only learned (in the last hour) that I could assign colors as a group of selections by using Shift + number. I found this in a side head in Martin Evenings Lightroom book. I still do not know how to find a way to display the color filter "selection" set in Library mode. Is there a way?
To top it off, Stuttgart Media University asked me if I would add a Lightroom module to my schedule this year. Now I have a compelling reason to learn all those missing pieces that I have created workarounds for. Hence the number of posts you have been seeing from me over the past few of weeks.
I tell my class that there are no such things as stupid questions, only questions. Now I am practicing what I have been preaching for the last gazillion years. Guys like you have been great.
My workflow is
1. I first separate all images by event. I do that at the time of import.
2. I do a fast pass rejecting all the obviously bad images
3. I do a second pass grouping the images by sub-group (speeches, people talking, performances, etc.) This is where I run out of selection methods and your key-wording could work but it would probably take too much time to establish a keyword set for a single event. Where I have more than five subgroups I set up different collection sets with one collection for each sub group. However I would like to keep a single event in one collection.
4. I then select the images to be used by color code.
5. Next I process the final images (crop develop etc) by collection.
6. Last I output the set according to client requirement.
If you have a better workflow, I am all ears.
By the way, what is your photo specialty and where are you located?

Can we set the dynamic data source when using getReportParameters() ?

I have a report where one of its parameters refers to a list of values (LOVs). This list of values is an SQL Query type. When the data source used in the report is defined in the BI Publisher server, I'm able to get the report parameters using the getReportParameters() function in my application. However, if the data source is not defined the function throws an exception, which is understandable.
I decided to dynamically set the data source so that even if the data source used by the report is not defined in the BI Publisher server, it still will be able to get the LOVs for the parameter. I tried setting the JDBCDataSource of the dynamicDataSource for the ReportRequest object that I passed to the getReportParameters() function. Please see the sample code below:
reportRequest.dynamicDataSource = new BIP10.BIPDataSource();
reportRequest.dynamicDataSource.JDBCDataSource = new BIP10.JDBCDataSource();
setReportDataSource(reportRequest.dynamicDataSource.JDBCDataSource, connectstr, jdbc, dc); //function to set the values for JDBCDataSource object

I was expecting this to work as this is what I did to dynamically set the data source before calling the runReport function. So, my question is -- can we set the dynamic data source when using getReportParameters() ? I tried this both in versions 10g and 11g. It does not seem to work on both versions.

report_id column of apex_application_page_ir_rpt can help us uniquely identify each saved report.
We can assign this report_id value to a page item and this page item can be put in the Report ID Item text box of the Advanced section of the Report Attributes page of the IR.
This should load the saved report identified by report_id and you can get rid of javascript

I was trying to set colors for the barchart through, chart expert --> colorhighlight ,here in colorhighlight when i click on new I am getting a dialogue box asking to enter datetime in M:D:YYYY H:MM:SS TT format. why is this dialogue displayed ? How to overcome this.

How to set a dynamic filter to a prompted one?

Hello:
I have a dashboard prompt whose values determine the columns for a constructed dynamic filter column using case statement.
There is another dashboard prompt whose value determine the the values for the dynamic filter column.
I have a need to set this dynamic filter to the operator 'is prompted'. According to the OBIEE documentation, the requirement for 'is prompted' filter is to have the dashboard prompt column match with the filter column.
I currently use a presentation variable for the dashboard prompt column that gives the filter value.
How do I make my dynamic filter to be prompted (for pre-filtering results as a default behavior) and subsequently use the presentation variable (derived from the dashboard prompt) if a user enters the appropriate prompt values?
Here is an example:
Dashboard prompt: Location Type-> (State, District, City) (The case statement on my filter determines the appropriate logical column State or District or City)
Filter Value: Dallas (pv1)
The dynamic filter will generate "City" = '@{pv1}' (Dallas in the above example)
I want this dynamic filter to be set to 'is prompted' for pre-filtering results as a default behavior.

You need to check two things:
1- Make sure to check the "Allow Multiple Lines" under the object tab.
2- Check the Expand to Fit checkboxes under the layout tab.

foreach article type we have to include a popup, but only once foreach article type.
So if we have more than one article of the same type, the popup should be included only one time.

You were close with your first example.
However as noted, the <c:set> tag doesn't accept a dynamic expression for the "var" attribute.
Suggested alternative: instead of using request attributes, have a seperate map

Whether the mix of JSTL and JSF/ui will work well together is a completely seperate issue, and one I can't really help with.

6i is an old version and I don't remember if there is a Set_Item_Instance_Property() built-in. If yes, you can use it with a Visual Attribute that held the colors.
