Setting period for MM record (about invalid period)

Hi,Experts!
I create a new company code "Y001" and try to assign MM periods to the company code.
When I try to customize MM period using t-cds,MMPI and OMSY, but I take the error "You have entered an invalid period for company code Y001" in both of them.
Now I set :
･Fiscal year variant(t-cd:OB29/OB37): V3
･Variant for open posting periods: Y001
･Open and close posting periods: Y001 ＋ 02 2009 12 9999 2 2009 12 9999 ADMIN
I try to set:
･Material Management view on company codes(OMSY or MMPI):2009 02
Do you have knowledge of the error? And What's an invalid period?
I am just starting to study ECC, so I have only poor knowledge about it.

Hi,
First goto OBBP t.code and choose your company code and check what is the posting period variants, then goto OKKP t.code and choose your company code and click details button , where you can find fiscal year variant , if it is V3 means april - march.
Now check in OB52 t.code choose your posting period variant (which is in OBBP) check the period open, it must be 02-2009.

I found the problem
Fiscal year variant is V6 (oby6) and actual material period is 9 and should be 3 (MMRV)

I have a report in which I have 2 date columns(start date say 'a' and end date say 'b'). In my prompts i have selected a time range. My start date and end date will fall in this time range.
Time range is 1/5/2009 to 3/16/2009

As shown above I need to stamp '0' if the week(horizontal row) doesn't fall in the a-b time range and '1' if it falls.
How can I achieve this .

Very tricky but it can be done.
1- create view which returns all the week start date between the prompts (if you are on oracle play around with a select againts the ALL_OBJECTS).
2 Bring this view as a dimension in your RPD and create a dummy join againts your fact table.
3. In your report use a case when to determine if your period is valid or not.
4. put it in a pivot table.

Setting up for vocal recording in Logic???

I'd liek to record vocals in logic where the vocalist can hear the backing track and their vocal in the headphones.

Loop a query and set variables for each record

Hi
I have a query - produces two records: such as below for
columns Addon & Status
Incidents 1
TimeManagement 1
I would like to loop through these to produce two session
variables
Session.Incidents and Session.TimeManagement with Status
being the value
I could fix these but possibly there will be more recrods
returned in the future and I'd like to make it dynamic.
Really appreciate any help.

New posting period for former fiscal year

Hello All!
For a customer we set up a database with posting periods for 2011 and 2012 (monthly periods). The database went live in 2011.
Now the requirement came up to post the opening balances for 2011 per end of 2010 (to have the postings not in fiscal year 2011).
My question is: is it a problem to add now a fiscal year 2010 (yearly basis)?

Although it is your 2nd posting, I would add welcome message because I had not do so 1st time.
For your question, it is not possible to add new posting period for former fiscal year. You best solution is to post those OB as the first date of the first period.

6i is an old version and I don't remember if there is a Set_Item_Instance_Property() built-in. If yes, you can use it with a Visual Attribute that held the colors.

Close period for material Master record error

my current period is 07 2010.
I want to close period 07 2010, and make new posting to period 08 2010.
but when i do the posting, system show error "Posting only possible in periods 2010/07 and 2010/06 in company code C999"
PS: C999 is the company code that contains the plant P999
And when i try to close the current period of material Master record by MMPV, system show below information :

Check in T.code: MMRV and see which period is open for ur Co.Code and back posting is allowed or not. If you are sure to open new period now of new posting to period 08, then
use t.code: MMPV ,
enter
Company code C999
Period to open 08
Fiscal Year 2010
Execute
( system will close the period last period 07 and automatically system open the new one 08)
Now try ur transaction.
if any problem, then check in FI Side:
Use t.code: OB52 and open the 08,2010 period in Account Types A, K, D,M, S and specially Account Type u201C+u201D which stands for valid for all accounts type and save. Better consult FICO consultant for OB52 step.

Nothing personal to you or Rajshee, but this is exactly why I absolutely despise these "community forums" (not just Adobe but any company). I called the Tech Support phone line today after digging and digging for a phone number, and they told me the exact opposite, and they did it a lot faster than it was possible to get a forum response. (That's really not personal, because you can't control that, but it's a fact.)
Their answer: As long as I'm signed in with the same ID, I can try, say, Photoshop CC on my iMac at home and also try Acrobat Pro CC on my Windows 7 machine at work. Same account, same login, one trial.
This makes complete sense to me as I'm financially on the hook (potentially) for the same package. If I give away my login to someone else, which I wouldn't do, I'm still on the hook. This is why the cloud approach to software is such genius and I applaud it.
BTW, 99% of the "community forum" wrong answers come on Microsoft sites, so don't feel bad.

I'm trying to get last recorded balance for each day for specific box (1 or 2) in specified period of days from ms access database using ADOTool.

So far I've managed to write a query that gives me balance for ONLY ONE date (date with highest time in whole table), but I need balance for EVERY date in specific period.
My incorrect code (didn't manage to implement "BETWEEN" for dates...):

I'm trying to understand the new PERIOD FOR clause in 12c. After reading several examples and documentation however I'm still not sure about its advantage. What can PERIOD FOR do that I cannot achieve with using a WHERE clause on normal start and end time columns?

It can do a whole lot more than what you can achieve yourself. If it couldn't Oracle wouldn't have invested so much time and money in it. (I'm pretty sure they knew the WHERE clause solution was already available )
What 'several examples and documentation' are you talking about? Post links to EXACTLY what you read.
The Oracle documentation discusses the topic pretty thoroughly.
Did you read ALL of Chapter 5, Managing and Maintaining Time-Based Information, in the VLDB and Partitioning Guide?

Management of Trial Period for Billing Plan !!

Hello SAP folks,
I have a real time business requirement where we essentially have Rental Contract which are being created from Sales Order and there is a billing plan defined for this Rental Contract. With new introduction of some Marketting strategy of Marketting group of my Client they have come with introduction of trial period for 30,60 and 90 days for the Contract !!
Now When we talk about the Trial period for 30 days, there are two important triggering point which are mapped from Sales Order to Contract i.e. No of Payment and Term of Contract. For 30days of Trial period, the number of payment is 11 if the term of contract is 12 month, 60 days the number of payment is 10 and term of contract is same as 12 month.
Now my question is how can i map this sort requirement in SAP with respect to Billing Plan i.e How to set the system such the billing should be happening based on No of payment ???
Any pointers on this requirement shall be really appreciated !!!

You can't.
You can set validity dates for roles - you do this in the roles section of the user master record
If you need a t-code to be locked for <b>everyone</b> for certain periods then you can look into a custom prog that uses tx SM01, though it usually is not a worthwhile control to mitigate the particular risk.

Enrollment Screen - Validity period for benefit plan

Hi,
At the enrollment screen (HRBEN0001), once click the adjustment reason, the respective benefit types and plans will be listed out. Also, the benefit plans have the "Validity period" showing as well (start date and end date).
I understand that the date is configure at "administrative parameter" and the "adjustment reason" . But I needs to have the validity end date of the benefit plan to be displayed (at HRBEN0001) based on the validity period of the plan itself from table (T5UBA). Is it possible to do that?

Hi Nikki,
In configuration this cannot be done. However there is some badis that allow you to set up plan records date depending of the type of plan. These badis are:
PBEN0038                       Set dates for Spending Account plans
PBEN0039                       Set dates for Miscellaneous plans
PBEN0040                       Set dates for HSA plans
For other plan types I;m afraid only the dates from administrative parameter" and the "adjustment reason" can be used
