Setting RangeParameters in Crystal.

Hi, can you help me with my problem.
I need to set in range parameter interval like this: [3 .. ).
How can I do it using RAS SDK?
My code:
ParameterFieldRangeValue pfieldRV = new ParameterFieldRangeValue();
pfieldRV.setLowerBoundType(RangeValueBoundType.inclusive);
pfieldRV.setBeginValue(new Double(Double.parseDouble(valueBegin)));
pfieldRV.setUpperBoundType(RangeValueBoundType.noBound);
I tried to set:
pfieldRV.setEndValue(null);
but it does not help.
I'm getting error: MissingParameterValue...
Thank you.

Setting a single range value:
ParameterFieldRangeValue rangeValue = new ParameterFieldRangeValue();
rangeValue.setBeginValue(new Integer(1));
rangeValue.setEndValue(new Integer(5));
rangeValue.setLowerBoundType(RangeValueBoundType.inclusive);
rangeValue.setUpperBoundType(RangeValueBoundType.inclusive);
paramFieldController.setCurrentValue("", "NumberRangeParam", rangeValue);
Setting multiple range values:
ParameterFieldRangeValue[] ranges = new ParameterFieldRangeValue[2];
        for(int i = 0 ; i < ranges.length ; i++) {
            ranges<i> = new ParameterFieldRangeValue();
        ranges[0].setBeginValue(new Integer(12));
        ranges[0].setEndValue(new Integer(15));
          ranges[0].setLowerBoundType(RangeValueBoundType.inclusive);
          ranges[0].setUpperBoundType(RangeValueBoundType.inclusive);
        ranges[1].setBeginValue(new Integer(2));
        ranges[1].setEndValue(new Integer(55));
          ranges[1].setLowerBoundType(RangeValueBoundType.exclusive);
          ranges[1].setUpperBoundType(RangeValueBoundType.inclusive);
        paramFieldController.setCurrentValues("", "NumberMultiRangeParam", ranges);

  • Set As Default Crystal Report Layout in SAP B1 8.8 PL13

    Hi,
    I want to Set As Default a Crystal Report Layout. I know you can do that in Layout Desginer - Selection Criteria, but SAP B1 8.8 PL 13 has only a Manage Layout button in the Layout Desginer window which links to the Report and Layout Manager. There is no Set As Default button.
    Where can you select which layout to be default in PL13?
    Thanks!

    Hello,
    I'm using .net c# to create and run a schedule of a crystal report.
    I'm able to connect to BOE and succesffuly create the schedule instance and pass the parameters. but it's failing to run because I'm not providing it with the Database Logon credentials.

  • Set up of Crystal Report Server

    Can anyone help with the following:
    The Business Objects server being setup requires a hostname to be resolved at the application level.  Rather than resolving a hostname, I need for it to bind to an IP address.
    From observation, the server seems to capture the local computer name as its hostname.
    Adding parameters at the end of the command line of the CMS such as u2018-port u201C<IP address>u201D u2019 has caused the CMS server to fall over and become unresponsive. I have also tried to add the IP address to the [Hostname or IP address] text field of the CMS server under the Common Settings which once again has caused the server to break.
    The name server parameter u2018-nsu2019 in the command line refers to the hostname and default port of 6400. How do  I change this?
    A non-feasible solution to the issue is editing the host filename on every PC with the IP address of the server and hostname.
    A more optimistic solution which I am hoping can be implemented if possible on the BO server is using a FQDN(fully qualified domain name) which would allow external as well as internal access to the BO server.  What steps will I need to implement on the BO server for this to be achieved?
    If Business Objects can provide a more constructive working solution than the above two mentioned,  I will be more than happy to  give it a try.
    Any assistance will be much appreciated.

    Hello Kerry,
    It looks like you're asking a question on how to configure CR Server itself.  CR Server is essentially BusinessObjects Enterprise, so you'll want to move this thread to the [BusinessObjects Enterprise Administration|BI Platform; forum, or start a new thread there instead.  They'll be better suited to answer your question.

  • Hyperlinks do not work when exporting to PDF (Crystal and Visual Cut)

    I have a question about Crystal Reports XI Release 2 and Visual Cut 11. I create reports in Crystal and export them using Visual Cut. Some reports contain hyperlinks to files on a network drive. However, the links only work while in Crystal. The PDF files that are printed through Visual Cut display the links, but they are not clickable. How can this issue be fixed?
    In case it helps, the links also work when I export reports from Crystal to HTML, Word, and Excel, but not when I export to Acrobat. I believe it is a problem with tagging/accessibilityfeatures. So is there a setting/formula in Crystal or Visual Cut that would allow the exported PDF files to be accessible?

    While Crystal exports to pdf indeed lose hyperlink functionality (both in Crystal as well as in Visual CUT), Visual CUT allows you to use Crystal formulas (acting as hidden Tags) to create hyperlinks in the resulting pdf file. Another option supported by Visual CUT it to automatically detect file references in the pdf text and turn them into hyperlinks.  Contact MilletSoftware for more detail.

  • Crystal Report Viewer integration with Sharepoint 2010

    We had a requirement in our project to view crystal report off an hyper link embedded into sharepoint web part developed using ASP .NET. The report accepted few parameters from the sharepoint page and passed those on to the SQL server to retrive data and
    display the data in the report. The challenge was to open the report in the web browser.
    The first difficulty was to find the right control to use, the report viewer tool that comes with Visual Studio 2010 is not the right one to use to view Crystal reports, I realised this after spending half a day trying to figure out why wouldn't the report
    load. I then downloaded the Crystal Report Viewer for VS 2010 Standard from http://www.businessobjects.com/jump/xi/crvs2010/us2_default.asp. After you install this, you get the crystal report viewer in your toolbar. All you have to do is drag and drop it on
    to the web part and configure it to use your report. If any one needs help with this let me know I will show how to do that.
    So far so good. The biggest challenge was to deploy this on to the production server which took better part of 3 days to figure out how its done. If you deploy the WSP file as it is expecting that the crystal DLLs would be embedded in it then be ready to
    expect a rude shock because it isn't. Here are the steps -
    1. Deploy the WSP to the sharepoint server
    2. Install the crystal dlls used in the project (CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.dll, CrystalDecisions.ReportSource.dll, CrystalDecisions.Shared.dll, CrystalDecisions.Web.dll) into the GAC using GacUtil command
    3. Add following entries to Web.Config file (C:\inetpub\wwwroot\wss\VirtualDirectories\80\web.congif)
        <SafeControl Assembly="CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine, Version=13.0.2000.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692fbea5521e1304" Namespace="CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine" TypeName="*" Safe="True" SafeAgainstScript="False"
    />
          <SafeControl Assembly="CrystalDecisions.ReportSource, Version=13.0.2000.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692fbea5521e1304" Namespace="CrystalDecisions.ReportSource" TypeName="*" Safe="True" SafeAgainstScript="False" />
          <SafeControl Assembly="CrystalDecisions.Shared, Version=13.0.2000.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692fbea5521e1304" Namespace="CrystalDecisions.Shared" TypeName="*" Safe="True" SafeAgainstScript="False" />
          <SafeControl Assembly="CrystalDecisions.Web, Version=13.0.2000.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692fbea5521e1304" Namespace="CrystalDecisions.Web" TypeName="*" Safe="True" SafeAgainstScript="False" />
    4. Install crystal redistributable package which can be downloaded from http://www.businessobjects.com/jump/xi/crvs2010/us2_default.asp (
    SAP Crystal Reports runtime engine for .NET Framework 4 (64-bit))
    5. Copy aspnet_client folder from C:\>inetpub\wwwroot and overwrite it on C:\>inetpub\wwwroot\wss\VirtualDirectories\80
    And we are done. Fingers crossed it should all work.

  • Cannot refresh a stored procedure within a Crystal Report from Xcelsius

    Please help...Xcelsius 2008 & Live Office problem...
    What I am trying to do is to refresh a stored procedure that is within a Crystal report from within my Xcelsius dashboard in Preview mode. The data returned appears on the Xcelsius dashboard. It works fine in Design mode, just not in Preview or when published as a swf.
    1. I set up a Crystal Report using a Stored Procedure as the data provider.
    2. The Stored Procedure has a parameter built into it.
    3. When the report is refreshed within Crystal, the prompt dialog box is displayed; I fill in the desired value, and run. Everything comes back fine.
    4. Crystal Report is exported to the repository.
    5. In Excel, I inserted the Crystal Report using Live Office. It shows up as a Live Office object just fine.
    6. I bound an Excel cell to the prompt; when you change the value in the bound cell, the Live Office object refreshes and displays the correct results.
    7. In Xcelsius, I imported the Excel spreadsheet.
    8. I set up a Text component that is bound to the cell containing the parameter value. Also set up a Grid to display the results, and a Connection Refresh button to call the refresh. Added a Live Office Data Connection pointing to the Web Service URL for the report.
    Note: When in Designer mode, if the value of the bound cell is changed, the results in the grid change accordingly.
    9. When in Preview mode (or generated swf), if the Refresh button is pressed, a "User Identification" dialog box appears asking me to log on. The values it asks for are: System, User Name, Password, and Authentication. I enter the same credentials as are within the Live Office settings in Excel, (which are working correctly), but receive an error "soapenv:Server.generalException: Database logon failed.".
    Note - all the id's are synced up - Business Objects, Database, etc.
    I've tried all kinds of combinations, but nothing gets me past this error. If I use any other server than the one listed under System in Live Office, the error message is "soapenv:Server.generalException: Server XXXXX not found or server may be down".
    I've noticed that in Excel directly, when I open the spreadsheet and refresh the Live Office object, I am prompted to log on to the database where the stored procedure is being executed. This dialog box does not appear once the Excel sheet has been imported into Xcelsius. One of the combinations I tried in the "User Identification" dialog box was the name of the database server, that didn't work either.
    I also tried creating the Live Office object directly within the Excel spreadsheet in Xcelsius, but then I was unable to bind the prompt value. Could never get the Live Office/Properties menu to appear.
    Ideas? Thoughts?
    Thanks in advance!
    Stephanie

    Hi

    I am not sure how to put the Crystal Report Viewer 11 Control onto the tool box.
    I could found a Crystal Report Viewer control on my computer, but it is version 8.5.
    I have also found another one which is Called Crytal ActiveX Report Viewer, i don't think it is the one I can use. As when I try to load a dummy report on to the Crytal ActiveX Report Viewer, It return an error. "specified type is not valid"
    Please see the Code sample below.
    private sub loadReport()
         Dim r as New ReportDocument
         'v is the name of the Crystal ActiveX Report Viewer Control
         r.Load("C:\Report1.rtp")
         v.ReportSource(r) <---It throw error on this line.
    End Sub
    Could you give me some advice about what have I done wrong, How to check if I have set up the Crystal Report Component correctly in my Visual Studio 2005 Standard edition.
    Thanks in advances.
    Many thanks
    Chi

    VS 2005 Standard and Express editions do not come with Crystal Reports; only the Professional and higher editions will have CR bundled. However, I believe you can purchase CR XI R2 Developer and it will give you the components you need to create a VS .NET 2005 application using the Standard edition.

  • Passing parameters from vb form to a crystal report with stored procedure

    Can someone give me an idea how to use data inputted on vb form to be use as basis of crystal report generation which loads data from a stored procedure. Stored procedure has parameters that was also set in the crystal report. viewing on crystal report is ok but i am having difficulty running the report from vb.

    Hi John,
                  If Not CRRpt.ParameterFields("AgeType") Is Nothing Then
                        CRRpt.ParameterFields("AgeType").CurrentValues.Clear()
                        Dim ParamValue As new CrystalDecisions.Shared.ParameterDiscreteValue
                        ParamValue.Value = AgeType.ToString
                        CRRpt.ParameterFields("AgeType").CurrentValues.Add(ParamValue)
                    End If
    Note that the ParamValue.Value should be assigned with exact same data type as you declared it in CR.
    If it is string, Convert your Variable to string first.
    If it is date, make sure you are passing a date variable.
    and so on...

    Hi Vasanta....
    You need to set the Database location by doing Set Location in Crystal Report.
    Because when you run the CR in new DB still it is picking the old DB instance which it is not getting. So you must update the new DB location with Old one by creating new connection.....
    Hope this may solve your problem.....

  • Crystal report when created using sybase oledb, gives no appender error

    I have a .net 3.5 application which uses Sybase Oledb to export crystal report 2008 to some file format.

  • Crystal Report failed scheduling onto the File System

    Hi,
    We have set up a Crystal report file for scheduling via file system. This report has been running fine with regards to generation all through last few months, but has started failing to generate the report at the scheduled time onto the file system from the last few days. When I checked the logs of the Instance Manager, it shows an error like this 'Unable to connect: incorrect log on parameters. Details: [Database Vendor Code: 1017 ]'.
    Please note, I was able to run the report from InfoView without any issue, so I don't believe there is any issue with stored procedure/report/database connection but something else.
    Can someone please provide some insights on this.
    Thanks.

    Hello Satish,
    Is this issue specific to FileSystem location? What about default enterprise location?
    When you view the reprt in InfoView, click on Refresh button to get current data. If the repot was published with Saved Data option, then you would see data in the report but it would be old one.
    Above step would confirm that there is no issues with database user credentials specified with the report.
    Also, open the report in Crystal Reports 2011, refresh it and publish without saved data in BI 4 repository and schedule it.
    Regards,
    Mahesh
