Setting table height to fill browser window

I am trying to create a table that fills the browser window
it is in. See
http://www.hopkinsandporter.com/about/careers.shtml
for an example. I applied a height of 100% to the table. Doesn't
work. I also used CSS to create a style
.table {height: 100%}
but this doesn't work either. Any suggestions?

Hi, can anybody tell me how can I fill the complete browser area with two Views in a Viewset?
For example, I have a Window with a Viewset divided it into two cells.
In each of them I inserted a view.
I want to set the height of the first view according to the height of the second in runtime, but in the second view, the height is variable.
I tried to set the height of the first view in 100% but it didn't work. I tried many ways but I couldn't do this. Someone has been able to do it?

Youtube fullscreen only fills browser window

When I am watching a video on youtube and I click on the "fullscreen" icon, instead of filling my entire screen, the video only fills the browser window. This has only started happening recently (after I messed with my proxy settings). I have restored the proxy settings, and it hasn't seemed to help - I'm not sure if this would affect youtube, but it was the only thing I have changed recently. Would very much appreciate some help.

Only "startscreen" should fill browser window

Hi Guys. Do you know where i could find a tutorial etc. to build a "startscreen" like http://hungr.ee/ ? I could resize my browser window and the background image fills the whole window. Also the writing remains in the middle. If i scroll a little bit, image and text scrolls up nicely. Thanks for ur help!

N00b question - Setting Table Heights

I have a table inside a layer, i want to set that table to
have lets say 10 columns and i want the entire table height to be
100 px.
What happens is that the table doesn't change its size, what
happens is that the table is larger then the div itself in the
page.
So how do i change it and limit the table height as I wish?

Shrinking a container will not force the contents to also
shrink. A table's
height is determined by its contents, no matter what the
height of the
table's container is.
Just for the record, table height is invalid HTML (always has
been), and
will be ignored by modern browsers on pages that have valid
and complete
doctypes.

Layer to fill Browser window W100% H100%

How can I make I layer fill the browser window with a color?
I already have the W100% and H100% but it only fills the
Width of the browser window and not the hight.
Any ideas what I need to do?

How does this Flash fill the browser window, no matter what
dimensions

I've looked at the source and don't see any clues. The width
and heigth
are 100%, but the flash doesn't change size. The only think I
can
deternie is the flash is very large and fills the screen.

Wrong height on resizing browser window

making browser window smaller body.offsetHeight is calculated wrong way.. is a 15px difference from window.innerHeight, making window bigger size is ok.

How to set Panel height to browser height?

I have a panel in a module in an application (App > Module > Panel). I would like the panel to take up the full height of the browser window. How can I achieve this? Trying to set height="100%" doesn't work, and makes the panel disappear. Setting the layout to absolute also doesn't work when setting top and bottom margins to 20.
Any ideas welcome.

There is something odd going on. I did what you suggested, but then the module doesn't display. However, when I remove the percentage-based height tags everything shows up.
It seems that the Panel object is sensitive to height being percentage-based. As soon as I set its height to "500" instead of "100%" it displays.

Browser window resize on entering website

Hi. I'm quite new to DW so apologies if this is simple to do.
I've developed a website in flash, kind of a console 900x500 pixels
and housed it in an html page using dreamweaver. i'm trying to set
it up so the browser window will resize to 900x500 when loading the
page. I know how to do this in DW for a popup window but is there
some javascript that will do this automatically as the main page
loads? I've tried a few scripts i found on google but its not
working. I'm testing in firefox and safari and am looking for a
script or method that would also work in IE. The console doesn't
look good on a large background so any help would be appreciated,

Essentially it can't be done. Modern browsers prevent it.
Usability data
strongly suggests visitors hate it. Controlling the visitor's
browser size
is considered arrogant. I suggest you rethink your design
strategy as this
is probably a losing battle on many fronts.

Resizing height width of adf components when maximizing browser window

I am using JDeveloper 11.1.1.4. I have one one panelCollection and an af:table inside it in my page. The browser window that contains the page will initially have a width and height of 1030,340. When user maximizes the window i want to stretch both the width and height of the components inside it. While doing maximize i want to increase the height and width of the panelcollection and the table inside it.I am able to stetch the width using stretch layout and AFStretchWidth style. But resizing the height of the components is the problem.
First of all is it possible ? Please help me to get to a conclusion for this.

Even if i use panelstretch layout i need two or more compoennts (table,panelgrouplayout,...etc) need to aligned horizontally inside the stretch layout so it is not stretching the height. To solve this problemm i wrote a javascript which catches the resize event of the window and in that i am setting the height of the compoents depending upon the size of the outer most layout. The javascript that i used is

Open PDF-Output in browser window with full height

I must open some BIP-Reports as PDF in a browser window via URL. The problem ist, that the height of the PDF-Output is fixed, as the PDF is shown in an iframe with fixed height.
The height can be set in the BIP preferences, but only to a fixed value (not to something like "100%"). If the height is smaller than the users browser window, then there is unused space below the pdf output. If the height is greater than the users browser window, there are two scrollbars to the right: One for the html-Page and one for the PDF.
I tried the following options:
1. http://<bip-server:port>/xmlpserver/public/<report-name>.xdo?_xmode=4&_xf=pdf
-> Output is PDF, only the PDF is shown (_xmode=4), opens in same browser window but height is limited.
2. http://<bip-server:port>/xmlpserver/public/<report-name>.xdo?_xmode=4&_xf=pdf&_xpt=1
-> PDF is not opend in browser window, but can be downloaded or opened in a separate PDF-Viewers window.
I would like to just open the PDF in the browser window in full height. How can I achive this?

you can open PDFs as a guest user (without authentification):
1. Allow Guest Access (Admin -> Security Configuration -> Check "Allow Guest Access" and select a folder name).
2. Copy your Report into this guest folder
3. You can open the Report as PDF with a link like this:
http://(bip-server-name):9704/xmlpserver/(guest-folder-name)/(report-name)/(report-name).xdo?_xpt=0&_xf=pdf&_xmode=4(&report-parameters)

I didn't find an option to set the height of the PDF-Output for the guest user in the BIP-UI. Maybe I missed something. But you can manually edit the configuration file. It is located on your BIP server direcory in the subdirectory xmlp/XMLP/Users. Select the guest users subdirectory and edit the configuration file "user~.profile".
In this XML config file there is an entry "viewerHeight". In the Value-Tag you can enter the PDF output windows height in pixel (but unfortunaly not in % - this was the question of my original posting).

Full browser window placeholder that acts like background image fill?

I want to be able to set full browser window placeholder that acts like the background image fill function, but be able to then build in a multi-anchored horizontal parallax. The effect is like we have a background image fill, but can slide horizontally between pages as if they are in a slide show. Simultaneously, content inside the placeholder such as longer paragraphs of text can scroll down - on top of the image layer, but inside the borders of the image placeholder. You can achieve the design by using Fullscreen Slideshow in MUSE as object.
Open any page in MUSE , click on the "Object" >> Slideshow >> Fullscreen.
Click on your blank web page.
This will give you a full screen slideshow.
You can now design as per your requirement.

Full-browser window flash, 100% width/height not working

Hello.
I'm pretty sure this issue has been discussed before but I
couldn't find a suitable answer.
I need my flash website to fill the whole browser window. In
the 1st frame of my .fla file I used:
stage.scaleMode = StageScaleMode.NO_SCALE;
stage.align = StageAlign.TOP_LEFT;
In the Publish Settings, I used 100% width and height and
Default scale mode.
I even tried adding CSS styles to the .html file, defining
padding and margin as 0px and applying them both to the body tag
and to a custom class that was later applied to the object tag that
embeds the .swf file on the html.
Still, the latest versions of Firefox, Safari and Opera (all
on Mac OSX Leopard) still display a border around the website.
What can I do? Thanks in advance.
